Czeching out Prague's Bone Church
Czeching out Prague’s Bone Church
The Czech Republic is an unexpected mix of classy and creepy. The most notable of course is The Bone Church- the Sedlec Ossuary in the town of Kutná Hora, roughly one hour away from the capital. The church itself started off harmlessly, as a place for the Czech people to come and worship, and the outside graveyard served as the place where the locals were buried. A war in the 17th century however…

Where to go for a month in Europe Part 1: Greece and Italy
Where to go for a month in Europe Part 1: Greece and Italy
With 44 countries to choose from, Europe is one of those places you can spend years exploring. After growing up in England, living for a stint in Denmark, and returning to this electric continent once a year since, from the capital cities, to the coastal towns, to places off the beaten track, there’s always something new to see. In July, I headed to to Europe for a solid month, to check out a few…

Checking in to Paradise: Live Bio, Galatas, Greece
Checking in to Paradise: Live Bio, Galatas, Greece
We always knew that our stay in Greece was going to be special, but couldn’t have predicted what awaited us on the shores of The Peloponnese, and within the community of Live Bio. Voted top spot in Europe to visit in 2016, this group of islands within this spectacular country are hidden paradises just begging to be explored. Across from the tiny island of Poros, in a town named Galatas, is a…

The 11 long haul travel tips that helped me the most
The 11 long haul travel tips that helped me the most
Heading on a long-haul flight often causes mixed reactions. Some, love the thought of some downtime, and an opportunity to catch up on all the latest blockbusters, while others can’t think of anything worse, and struggle to pass the time. I seem to be somewhere in the middle, and it’s only after years of long-haul flying (and being offered invaluable advice) that I’ve found some tips and tricks…

Welcome to Athens: 8 impressions of a first time visitor
Welcome to Athens: 8 impressions of a first time visitor
Athens is one of those cities that have a mythical edge to them. As though there’s a little more than meets the eye, twinkling just out of sight, waiting to be discovered. Like its Roman cousin just across the sea, it’s a place where new meets the old, as though it should be natural for the bank of a country to sit adjacent to one of the oldest monuments on Earth. People are out jogging, sipping…

The best places to eat in Qatar airport
The best places to eat in Qatar airport
Qatar airport is one of my absolute favourite airports to visit when travelling long haul, and after visiting countless times, I feel as though I’ve tried most of the food places available. Not only does it have an amount of shops to rival even the most well stocked capital city and art installations that leave you saying “I don’t get it” and “I love it” at the same time, it’s a pretty well…

How to Travel With Only a Carry-on Bag (VIDEO) So after spending years packing waaaaay too much (I'm talking 90% too much, where I've actually had to wear shoes, and carry another pair around my neck on the plane), I've finally learnt how to travel lightly.

How I save crazy amounts of money to travel frequently
How I save crazy amounts of money to travel frequently
If there’s one thing that stops people from travelling than anything else, it’s a little issue called money. Travel is expensive. More often than not there’s more things you need to pay for than you’d initially factored in, you need to be in a place where you have decent disposable income, and let’s be frank- unless you’re getting paid to travel, most of us can’t seem to get out and do it more…

My happy place 💜 Living in Exmouth and diving the Navy Pier is still one of my all time favourite travel moments, and should be on any water baby's bucket list. Completely untouched, with schools of fish, dozens of sharks and the occasional sea snake (which I'm trying to not be so afraid of), the Ningaloo Reef is an area just teeming with life. Unfortunately, the Navy Pier is the exception, not the rule. On the other side of the country, the Great Barrier Reef is down to 7% unbleached, which is almost beyond comprehension, and it's because of us. Choosing kindness from the dinner plate, reducing our carbon emissions and safe sunscreen (that won't pollute the water), at every opportunity goes much further than you think. More on YouTube this week, so stay tuned! 💫 #govegan #australia (at Exmouth, Western Australia)

There's always going to be someone out there who you think is prettier, or skinnier, or more popular than yourself. But to hell with all that! Let's be kinder, happier, more thoughtful. Let's be the kind of people we read about in books that kicked ass and didn't worry if their exterior was perfect all the time. Let's aim to be more compassionate, more gentle, and more present within our own lives, and let the cards fall where they may. You're perfect anyway 💫 (at Flinders Ranges National Park)

How to travel a lot without making your friends hate you
How to travel a lot without making your friends hate you
The other day I was chatting to a friend I hadn’t seen in ages, and she said something that alarmed me, “I’ve had to unfollow you, I was too jealous of your travels”. Wow, that’s not what I was hoping for! “I’m not a complete tosser am I?” I thought to myself, “have the inspirational quotes gone too far? Do we have to go into full lockdown mode? Are flatlays safe? IS NOTHING SACRED?” After all,…

The perfect opportunity to see some of these little guys up close was walking through Wilpena Pound in the Flinders Ranges. They couldn't have been less bothered by my beckoning of "hey Skippy," or "is little Timmy trapped in the well?", instead this little bush kangaroo carried on munching before hopping off with some mates. No matter how many years I live in this country, I never get tired of seeing kangaroos in the wild 💜💫🇦🇺 (at Wilpena Pound Flinders Ranges)
