Mankind
Adam and Eve were the first to roam the Earth They were given the chance to do as they pleased But just had to obey God’s only rule
Instead they listened to the serpent, Who is known to be cruel Because of this, they destroyed mankind’s chance of a peaceful, love-filled, Violent-free life
Centuries later, people are dying; All are crying, But no one is stopping the tragedies from happening
Diseases are consuming us and taking lives one by one It happens everyday; mankind will come to an end
And the number one disease is cancer The deadly war one’s body is having with itself Killing us inside out

Genesis
In the beginning, God created Heaven and Earth And for what I know, He created you first
“And God said, let there be light, and so there was light” She was the Sun—My Sun—bringing Light into my life Just as she brought her Light into the afterlife
June 2000 was the last of her physical pain until 11 years later I must have been the creator of all things wrong in her life
So forgive me, Queen, for I mean no harm Thought I was only being your good luck charm

Coincidences
There’s a zodiac sign with the same name as the monster that takes our loved ones away They are not correlated with one another, Which makes the whole thing one huge coincidence
The infamous expression, “that’s seven years of bad luck” Said every time one breaks a mirror; just my luck, that happened to me I know those are stupid superstitions to keep someone on edge, But it had my thoughts hedged
I was nine years old when the incident took place Only two years later, the Sun was dimming more and more each day There was no explanation as to why she was losing Her grace
I was born on June 25th; that’s Cancer season Ever heard of the saying, “Everything happens for a reason” Yeah, well, maybe that is true because my life story is a coincidence Turns out my season had taken a high incidence for her
Years later, and I still think about the broken mirror, the seven years of bad luck, The nonexistent correlation of my favorite season with the cell-eating storm I can’t help but think I brought the dark clouds into the sky for My Sun to disappear
None of this makes sense, I would know, because I’m confused by it too At least I finally broke through But in my mind it will always be the Devil finishing my due
