I impressed how you make a amazing kymam game, how i can make my own game but programming I never do that.
Hi, glad you enjoyed it!
The game was made by using RPG Maker MV. It's a game engine that allows you to create characters, environments, dialogue, fights, events, etc - without having to learn any programming language.
I recommend you to look into it if you want to make a game similar as mine, and you will see that the raw setup of everything is already handled by the engine.
However, RPG Maker obviously also has a looot of options about fighting that I didn't even touch on. If you simply want to create something with a lot of dialogue, a visual novel, you can also look into Ren'Py (which is free!). Though I don't know as much about how easy or hard it is to work with, I think you also don't need programming experience.
Have a nice day! And don't give up on that dream of your own game!!

Geniuine question: Would anyone be interested in me telling you my interpretation of the story?
I read the ask again and now I was wondering if this was actually asking about what it all means? I mean, I could do that, but I don't want to ruin anything, state what may have been obvious, or tell you the "right way" of understanding the story (there is none, it's all up to you) - but maybe, if there was any confusion about some connections, I could go there? Or would it be plain stupid to explain my own story to y'all? Tell me what you think 😳👉👈
what is South Park: A Real Fantasy's story?
Hey there, Anon! Thank you so much for your ask.
In short, “A Real Fantasy” is a game where you play as Kyle and are lost in the woods together with Eric. You encounter a spooky house and decide to investigate in order to ask the house owner for help or find a telephone to call home. While doing so, you uncover the secrets of the isolated person that seems to live there, as well as your own, by reading through their diary and discovering the strange building. Any conclusions you will draw after that would be spoilers and might be dependent on individual interpretations.
(For anyone finding this randomly who wants to know moreabout my Kyman fangame, this link leads you to the page of the game (can onlybe opened in a browser): [link].)
Furthermore, I want to use this ask as an opportunity to go completely overboard and just write down everything I wanted to say in general about the project. So in case you are interested to read the “In not-so-short…” version of my answer aka reminiscence about the process and plans behind the game that contains
a celebration of the anniversary of the release aka a thank you
screenshots from all the asks that are still in my inbox
information about the non-existent future of the project
the future of this blog that might have a future
dramatic personal backstory
my thoughts on the series right now
I welcome you under the cut.

So... I had this expierence twice:
I watch a show/play a game and enjoy it. Then, there is this character that I just cannot stand. They annoy the hell out of me. I am unhappy and wish they just weren’t there - I even consider to stop watching/playing.
Suddenly, I ask myself how the show/game would be without the character. Then I realize they are necessary to keep the whole thing going and SOMEHOW I learn to appriciate them on this whole other level and think they are super valuable for the plot. Then I start to fall in love and ship them with the character they have the most interesting (back)story with. I watch the show/play the game to the end and cry through their journey together.
My perception of them has completly changed, only because I stopped myself and asked “what if...?”.
Am I alone with this?
(Btw, talking about Cartman here, as well as Trevor from GTA 5 who I ship with Michael...)

So,,
you might know that it is called "crunching" when developers have to work overtime especially at the end of a production.
The supermarket next to our uni now started selling those cookie boxes called "Crunchtime" and my whole ass studies course felt addressed and now you see those boxes everywhere in our project rooms......

The Story of “A Real Fantasy”
So yeah, here I am with a whole retrospective on the project and everything. I’m doing this since I feel like I owe y’all a bit of explanation and also I wish to at least acknowledge the asks still in my inbox so I can give this whole thing kind of an ending. I don’t actually know if enough people still follow me actively to see this, but here we go.
Thank You
I released “South Park: A Real Fantasy” a year ago and I’m still very proud that I managed to actually finish this project. First of all, I want to THANK YOU ALL for your support. It meant a lot to me to read all the nice and uplifting messages even if I was a bit too overwhelmed to answer all of them.
I still am not able to really process that I e.g. found some people off this website speculating how to get one ending while I was just knowingly grinning at my screen. It’s also a huge honor to have seen the art some people have created out of the game. I tagged them with #sp arf fanart on my blog – please visit the artists and inhale their awesome content. :)
Bugs and “Version 1.1” (Spoilers)
Nevertheless, I never brought to you the promised “version 1.1″ or fixed any bugs and I think time has shown that I do not plan on doing so anymore.
I don’t know how much of you are familiar with RPG Maker or in general game engines, but it’s basically a construction kit to build your own game. Most problems that were described to me in the Bug Report I opened on Google Forms were about the inability to save / error messages. I didn’t find anything out about that due to the basic functions of RPG Maker (e.g. saving) being something you don’t actually touch as a casual creator; the game saves itself, so to say, from my perspective. Not saying this is purely not my fault, lol – I just really don’t know.
As for other bugs where I at least had a chance to fix them, in no playtest I encountered them and my inefficient way of structuring all the quests is something I don’t look through anymore, especially because a lot of time has passed now. I’d say at least I learned something about organization but yeah I have to admit, for y’all it’s a bit shit and I am sorry I can’t and won’t fix anything since I want to be done with the project.
Regarding this, I added some pictures to the download explanation in case there was some confusion with the “can’t load a preview” message which I hope this was about. Otherwise there should be no problems with the file itself and downloading from Google Drive was possible for me from any other (windows) device.
2019 and Future Plans
When I say I want to be done with “A Real Fantasy” I don’t mean you cannot write meabout it, leave your review, even inform me about bugs so I can note for thefuture (“when you work with RPG Maker MV in the future, think about X/research toughly about Y/get help in order to achieve Z”), I just will not fix them for this game, so you personally won’t benefit from telling me but I’m still thankful.
I think I already mentioned this, but for all my motivation and ideas for a part 2, I, for the life of me, don’t have any time to make them a reality. I’d really like to make a second one but- when I go through the following years of my life I don’t see any time to complete this.
As you may know, I changed my course of studies starting October 2018 and it was a bumpy ride to say the least, including breakdowns and all the bad stuff. I’m still struggling and it’s just not possible to find the energy and especially the time to focus on a sequel. Gosh, but I’d love to.
(Thank you.)
South Park
One last thing, even though I feel like it’s a hypocritical thing to only then say this when it hits home, I don’t want to continue watching the series. Due to my limited time right now I planned on watching the whole season on Christmas break but after I heard about the trans athletes episode I don’t think I have the emotional capacity for this anymore (yes, your humble narrator is an enby).
No, I never liked all of South Park and I think nobody does. I often let my dislikes slide for the sake of shipping and the impact/discourse some episodes create. I don’t want to pretend and romanticize all aspects of the series anymore going forward. I don’t really like South Park, the TV series, and its problematic shit, but I like South Park, what the fandom and people in general have made out of it. For me, your professional snowflake, the safe space in fandom and sharing art and stories was far more valuable.
Continue being nice to each other while I try to wing my studies or find another way to happiness. :)
All my love,
Theo
