I learned how to do a silkscreen today! This is my tile before firing and I will post another picture after.

How neat! Once all the staff are trained on this method we will be hosting a workshop...stay tuned!

A mug: from inspiration to finished product!

We thought it might be neat to show how some staff members have found inspiration in the past and turned in into a beautiful piece (and how you can too!)

First of all, we found a picture on Pinterest of some cute kitties...

Step 1: Inspiration!

Step 2: Picking the perfect pieces and colours!

(We loooove the perfect mug. And these beautiful colours! So this choice was a breeze.) [P.S....check out those sweet reindeer jammies. This staff member painted this mug from home!]

Step 3: Doodle your design, and fill it in with one of our paint pens!

Step 4: After all of your penwork and paint is dry...

(You take lots and lots of pictures...)

But then you give it back to us we put it in our kiln. Our kiln gets up to 1880 degrees Fahrenheit. Your piece is going to come back to you in about 6 days (our staff members will give you the date) shiny, smooth, and dishwasher and microwave safe. You can use your masterpiece for your coffee every morning!

And here it is:

The final product! Shiny and totally usable!
