Another progress shot of one of the pieces I've been working on recently. Some artists warn against using the bending tool and suggest only colour picking, others swear by it. Personally I use a combination of both. I've found if I blend too much the colours can get muddy, but I get a much smoother transition than with the eye dropper tool alone. Honestly, I think it makes sense to just do what works for you individually.
