saturn in the houses
Tumblr media
lessons to be learn, recognizing your fears
saturn is usually associated with parts of your life/personality that you take very seriously. this planet delays things, sets restrictions, limits, and therefore makes you learn hard lessons. also, the house of karma
if you dont know in which house your saturn is in, click here put your birthday data and then if you don’t understand the wheel, just click on “animate chart” and there you have it
saturn in the 1st house
if you have saturn in the 1st house you are a very rule and discipline-follower person, unless you have your saturn in aries. you were probably that kid that would get home and immediately do their homework, you wont give yourself a break unless you finish a certain task before. Everything your parents and teachers told you to do, you would do it, always following their guidance and seeking recognition for your actions and acts of service for them. The problem with having saturn in this house, is that you may have a hard time separating your identity as whole with the expectations of other people. you fear not meeting up to people’s expectations of you, (especially parents) because everyone sees you as this very disciplined person with a lot of structure and rigid mindset. You feel that you are way too mature for the people who you should be surrounded by, like your classmates, work mates, people from your age etc.. and thats why you may feel more confortable and understood with older people. you could end up dating/marrying someone older, but be careful because this relationship could turn sour and lose all the fun and passion it once had.  they are serious people, closed and difficult to get close to. Because they are very mature, they are able to struggle with feelings rationally and objectively.  As time passes by, you realize that the person you used to be (very disciplined) is now becoming the opposite, you find yourself asking “who am i, really?” “i dont recognize the person i used to be”.
saturn here is teaching you a lesson, you came to this world to work on the wounds surrounding your identity. you must know that claiming your true self without the sayings of more “dominant” people around you is a long process, and a lesson that needs to be learned. you´re an old soul, you have to find yourself beyond the struggles, burdens and hardship
saturn in the 2nd house
if you have saturn in the 2nd house, you felt extremely restricted in your childhood, you could have gone through a lot of poverty, and even if thats not the case, you had that mindset. your parents could´ve been really strict with you, and you may have felt that the people who were supposed to love, nurture and protect you, were actually the opposite, very distant. Even if you had, extremely good education and surroundings, you have a lot of “failed” events in your life, such as relationships, work, friendships, and financial matters. You have so much fear in your heart, you fear that nothing will ever work out in your favour, you fear that people will be living their best lives while youre drowned in burden and misery. you fear loss. A person who goes through this much, will find comfort in material matters, and be too dependent on anything related to money and possessions.
saturn here is teaching you a lesson, and this is for you to build self confidence on a solid foundation. don’t over spend, take your money very seriously, don’t go out and about doing whatever you want with it because you need momentaneum security and confort, this is what saturn is trying to teach you in this lifetime.
saturn in the 3rd house
Whoever is born with Saturn in the third house knows how to separate what is good from what is bad, what is right from what is wrong. You are a very serious person and have a very structured mental awareness. You probably have a great desire to study and deepen your knowledge. Since the third house represents siblings and if you do, in fact, have siblings, you may not have the best relationship with them, they may attack you a lot for no reason, you guys may only reconcile later in life. you are a slow learner, you need an extra effort to actually focus when it comes to studying, your grades may be lower in comparison to the rest of the people around you, but that doesnt make in any way, shape or form less worth that others.   This placement could indicate a lonely childhood, you felt restricted when it comes to speaking your truth, you could be an extremely socially anxious person, and for that reason, your mind is filled with things you wish you could have said. you missed out on so many opportunities in your life due to your fear of speaking up, of putting yourself out there. you have a lot of trouble with stating your opinion, verbally speaking but when it comes to your written word, you have a lot of greatness in there. its almost as if the universe makes fun of you, you feel the need to speak faster, speed up so when you talk, people will find you interesting but that gets exhausting.
saturn here is teaching you a lesson, and this lesson is to speak your truth, saturn wants you to not be afraid of your own thoughts, to get through your fears. you have greatness in you, now it’s your time to claim it.

TIPS FOR BEGINNER WITCHES
🖤🌈🧹🐱🌠🌌🪐
These are just a few things I've learned along the way, and still have to remind myself of. I hope these are useful to anyone out there just starting out!
1. Remember that you do not just practice witchcraft. You are a witch. Take accountability for you practice, and fully embody all that you do in both the mundane and spiritual realm. Your magic does not control you, you are in control of it. The energies around you/in a room do not control you, do control the energy. Your practice is not something that is separate from you, it is your very essence. Focus on the mantra "as within so without", and remember that just as you are a reflection of the natural world and it is a reflection of you, your magic is as well.
2. This is a common one, but try not to rely so much on books or the opinion of others. While yes, practicing your craft in a highly particular and ritualistic manner can be very productive for some, it is important to connect to this ritual space in your own way and unique understanding/point of view. There is an innate understanding of magic that everyone has, and while it is important to learn as much as you can, try to maintain a balance between an intuitive practice and the information you collect.
3. Similar to number 2, if you are just starting out and getting steady on your feet within the realm of spellwork, a great way to begin is by altering spells that you find from others or in books! This could be a small change at first, but as you get more comfortable doing this, you might find that suddenly those spells you've been practicing could be completely unrecognizable from the original, and 100× more effective for you.
4. If you have a safe place to do so, go into nature. Become acquainted with your local plants and animals. Bring your phone for safety, of course, but don't bring field books or encyclopedias. I recommend bringing a journal, however, and meditating on different plants or wildlife. How do these beings make you feel? Are they saying something to you? What means of communication are they using? Words, smells, images, or feelings? Write down anything that comes to your mind, even if it feels silly at first.
5. Try not to become too fixated on defining yourself as a witch, or trying to figure out what niche you fit into right away. Learn and practice all different forms of the craft (assuming it is culturally appropriate for you to do so/not engaging in appropriation) and maybe one will happen to be the perfect fit! Or maybe not, and that's okay too. Like I said previously, your craft is a reflection of you, and you are a reflection of it. If your practice ends up being completely different from how you began or what you expected, take this as a positive sign if nothing else! You are on your journey of discovering what unique qualities you have to offer the world, and embracing your own inner power.
6. Always. Be. Curious. Part of witchcraft is the ability of observation. From the tiniest bug to the tallest tree, try looking at the world in wonder,, and as if no knowledge is not worth knowing. Pretend that you have been transported to an alien planet, and are viewing this earth for the very first time. What are you understanding about what you see Honor? How is it making you feel? Release all expectations and previous experiences or knowledge you came into this space with. Having a sense of childlike wonder and maintaining this will aid you on your quest to developing your intuition. Honor the connections that you find between things, and any information you receive from the earth. On the other hand, also begin to treat your inner world with this same sense of wonder and curiosity too.
7. There is no linear or "correct" path. If you are just starting out, you may be feeling lost, and looking for some sense of a direct path. There is, however, no direct path! This goes for both witchcraft and life. Your craft will change, evolve, and adapt over time, just as you will. Try not to be resistant to these changes both within your craft or yourself, and practice being uncomfortable with the unknown.
8. Make witchy friends! This could be either in person or online, but having a community of like minded people who equally share a love and belonging to such a personal path can be wildly inspiring. Sharing experiences can also help you to shape your craft and learn, but never feel obligated to share experiences if it doesn't feel right. This can also help bring your practice into something that you see in the physical world, through the external confirmation of others. While it is important to not let the validation of others be what legitimizes your practice for you, we are physical and social beings. When you are first starting out, it is easy to feel uncertain, or sometimes feel like you are even questioning if what you are doing is real. Having others who support you in what can at times be somewhat of a lonely journey can be of enormous benefit to some, both in the mundane and spiritual world.
9. Do your shadow work. Shadow work is a life long journey, but understanding the darker aspects of the self and transforming these inner narratives/structures consciously when you begin your craft will enable you to get to the root of certain blockages you have, as well as help you discern what kind of spells are coming from different places. For instance, if you are doing a money spell, try and ask yourself what your beliefs are around money. Do you have an unconscious fear of financial success? Do you have learned fears around failure, which you associate with financial gain? If anything comes up for you, whatever it may be, work on doing your meditations and spellwork around that core issue before focusing on the material aspect.
10. Protect yourself. Those of us who are drawn to witchcraft might already be prone to a heightened sense of empathy, and posses a certain level of psychic acuity. Beginning your practice will only strengthen this. Some of the first things I recommend focusing on in your learning is how to make wards, psychic shields, and energetic shields (such as casting a circle). Not only will this be beneficial for your overall well being in the long run, but it will help make your intent clear and your craft as effective as possible in manifesting the goals you want to achieve. Having said this, there is a balance between allowing certain energies to enter your space, and blocking out all energies altogether. The thing to learn here is that it is about being discerning, and you may have to learn over time which energies you would like to invite towards you, and for what purposes.
That's all I have to say about this topic for now, but please feel free to send me asks, or elaborate on/add to anything listed above!!
Have a wonderful day and blessed be~

Alternatives to this include garlic and pine
The next quarter of the jar I filled small bits of rose and chamomile
Rose- Traditionally used in love spells, carried for good luck in love, encourages friendliness, security, and truth, associated with Water, Venus, and femininity
Chamomile- Used in spells for, money, peace, love, tranquility, purification, removing spells/releasing pain, associated with, Sun, Throat Chakra, and masculinity

White witches are not persecuted. Modern witchcraft among white people is not what women were persecuted for during witchcraft trials. You being judged by monotheistic religions has nothing to do with the mass executions of innocent people, largely women, well before even your grandparents were born. I hate to tell you but most of those women didn’t practice witchcraft. They were considered witches or under “the devil’s spell” because of sickly partners, the death of their infants, false accusations by people who didn’t like them, etc. You don’t have centuries of generational trauma when the “oppression” of white witches is extremely modern.

To Help You Remember:
Wands are days, because they are fire, and fire moves fast.
Swords are weeks, because while a sword is quick to cut, it first requires some thinking on the warrior’s part.
Cups are months, because they are water, and water flows with the moon, which completes a cycle in roughly a month.
Pentacles are seasons to years, because they are seeds, and some seeds only require a season to grow while others need a year.
The timings for the Major Arcana and the Pages are related to the cards’ meanings. Once you know the meanings, you know the timings.
The Kings, Queens and Knights are the Zodiac signs’ birthdays:
King of Wands – Leo (Fixed Fire)
Queen of Wands – Aries (Cardinal Fire)
Knight of Wands – Sagittarius (Mutable Fire)
King of Cups – Scorpio (Fixed Water)
Queen of Cups – Cancer (Cardinal Water)
