“Heather Fay drops new Single ‘The One’” -SKOPEMAG.COM

Surreal melodies and beats that don’t back down are just a couple of the ingredients that Heather Fay tosses into the melting pot of tonality that is her new single “The One,” a three and a half minute pop jam that will get stuck in your head even when you’re not intending for it to. Fay splurges with the synths in this track, lets her hair down and attacks the microphone with more energy than I was expecting to hear out of her here, and while I’ve enjoyed most of the material that her scene has turned in lately, she’s operating on a completely different level in this latest cut.
The bass is always a linchpin in any modern R&B track, but it’s not as much of a wrecking ball in “The One.” It’s woven into the fabric of the synth melodies pretty seamlessly, and while there’s a slight rigidity to its structure in this song, it doesn’t interrupt the even flow of the music in the least. I probably would have cranked it a little louder in the mix if I were trying to sell this directly to the club scene, but I don’t think that this is where Fay was trying to take the track at all.
As far as the master mix goes, it’s a bit cramped compared to the similarly stylized material that I’ve heard out of her closest competitors on the west coast, but I’m not sure how bad of an attribute that really is. “The One” is super tight, cohesive and features an opulent sonic bonding between its elements that is more commonly found in classical recordings than it is melodic hip-hop and R&B, and if that doesn’t give Heather Fay a bit of a boost as a composer, I don’t know what else could.

The drums are fairly hollow in “The One,” and though they don’t have the bark to compete with the bassline, they add a chill factor to the finish in this track that is painfully necessary to making it the showstopper that it ultimately becomes. Fay navigates the grooves with an artful swagger in this single, but her confidence never descends into the arrogance that has become all too familiar to those of us who keep up with the top slots on the Billboard charts. She’s assertive in this delivery, but she’s careful to stay as humble as one can be amidst the dispensing of these heavenly harmonies.
R&B fans of all ages and backgrounds really can’t beat what Heather Fay is bringing to the table with her all-new single “The One,” and try as the competition might, there’s just no getting around the incomparably lush lyricism that she’s bolstered by in this track. Don’t get me wrong; I don’t think that Fay has reached her creative plateau with this song – far from it. My excitement surrounds her ascension into the primetime, which has been missing someone on her level for too long now, and if she keeps breaking off diamonds like this one, her brand is going to be here to stay.

American singer, songwriter, producer, Heather Fay is a Pop/R&B recording artist breaking out of the midwest. Born in Pekin, Illinois and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Fay showed a strong affinity for all things music at a young age. She taught herself to play the piano at the age of nine and began to write music by the third grade. She turned her love for writing poetry into skillful songwriting and eventually inked a deal as the newest signee under Bungalo Records, Universal Music Group Dist.
After being paired with Grammy Award winning writers and producers, Fay began to develop her catalogue where she stored her new single, “The One” (available on all platforms here). “The One”has created an undisputable lane for Heather in the music industry and is climbing up the charts as we speak. Racking in overwhelming support from critics worldwide, this single proves to be the first to come of many Heather Fay hits.
Her musical influences are diverse and defy easy definition; she grew up immersed in music from Mariah Carey to Christina Aguilera, and Beyonce to Alicia Keys. Writing and production aside, Heather also showed a natural gift of performing early on when she joined her middle school choir, band, and step team, and in the following years joining her high school varsity cheer team, marching band, and show choir. Heather Fay, who has toiled to have her music heard without the backing of a record label, is now poised for a run up the charts with her first single, to be released today, through Bungalo Records/Universal Music Group Dist.
She was paired with Grammy-award winning writers and producers, Tony Haynes and Lloyd Tolbert and began to create and produce her catalog. Her first single, “The One,” was released today, March 22 and was written by Fay, with Haynes and Todd Hurtt.
“Working with Bungalo and Universal is a dream come true,” Fay said. “I am grateful to have the opportunity to work with these two powerful and iconic companies that have accomplished so much with so many great artists.”
Fay got her start in entertainment in her hometown, Kansas City, Missouri, where she worked as a model and was featured in many print advertising campaigns. She moved to Los Angeles and began to capitalize on a lifelong love of music, which included teaching herself to play piano at age 9, and writing music by third grade. She turned an affinity for writing poetry into skillful songwriting.
She recorded and independently released her first single, “Killin’ Me.” A song that showed off both Fay’s vocal chops and featured her in a slick video, it quickly gained her a fan base and led to booking shows, both as a solo performer, and as an opener for YMCMB’s Chanel West Coast.
A second single, “Let’s Get Close” arrived shortly after, and not only impressed fans but caught the attention of Paul Ring, CEO, and President of Bungalo Records, who signed Fay.
Fay’s strong work ethic is supported by an impressive four-octave vocal range, which she showcases in her upcoming album.

Heather Fay designs her own dresses for New Year's Eve! @iamheatherfay @theheatherfayreport
Let’s not forget that Heather designs and make a lot of her own pieces and this one is GORGE! It’s much different from the dress she made the following year for this dress in particular is knee length which is risky but fun. Makes for a perfect New Year’s Dress. The black fabric is sharp and hugs her body to fit like a glove. But the CRYSTALS. The crystals make the whole piece come to life. She put them in a horizontal like design that goes with the shape of her body and her figure just dazzles in this.
As you can see in the video that she posted that looks like a boomerang or GIF, when she walks towards the camera the whole dress sparkles and it looks so beautiful. She did an amazing job. I would have loved to have seen the head to toe in the video but that okay because we at least got that in the image. (posted below)
Can we talk about her legs? Can we talk about her body? Can we TALK ABOUT THIS STANCE!?!??? Her hair is perfection! Her eyes locking into the camera is everything. Her legs that seem never ending in her ankle strap shoes are so beautiful. This length of dress is a good length for her. I love how effortless and natural her hair and makeup always are. Look at how this dress sparkles even in just a picture!!!
I will say the picture is kind of blurry but when she’s looking like this in the photo who gives a rip! She still flawless from head to toe and either way we can get the just of it. I wouldn’t mind seeing other variations of this same design but we will see what she does! Well done! We love it!

Heather Fay reps Kansas City on her instagram @iamheatherfay @theheatherfayreport
As we all know little Miss Heather Fay is from the midwest and more specifically Kansas City, MO. She has tagged a handful of her instagram photos in KC and in some of them we can actually see the skyline or other parts of the city in the background. It is hard to tell when she is actually there and what for and how long. Either way we love getting a glimpse of her hometown and it’s nice seeing her in her element there.
She has a different vibe to her when she is repping KC. If you look at this photo in particular Heather‘s demeanor in general has a lot more cock to her walk (in a good way). We can somewhat get a glimpse of the overall Kansas City vibe. That raw edge and attitude and the pride that everyone there has for their city. It actually seems pretty cool. You can tell by this image that Heather takes a lot of pride in the city she comes from.
The facial expression tells us a lot as well. Again with the edge and attitude. I’m not even sure how to describe the type of appeal this has but it’s intriguing to us. The leather jacket and baggy denim. There is a lot of downtown Kansas City girl appeal. I would have like to have scene a different filter on this photo though its takes away from her typically olive-esque skin tone and makes it a bit over exposed causing a red tint to appear in the shadows. But other than the filter/lighting I still LOVE the overall vibe in this photo.
It’s nice to see this side of Heather. We typically get the pretty girl high heels version which don’t get me wrong is gorgeous. Seeing this more down to earth Heather has a lot of value to it also I would suggest that she consider doing more of it. She is pretty regardless however these looks are more relatable. Maybe a little bit of both??

WOW! Just WOW! How she has evolved in a few years this is mind blowing but what else do you expect from this creative talent! Heather Fay gives tour of studio recording session
Heather Fay is a recording artist from Kansas City, Missouri who is very hands on with all aspects of what she does. Not only does she sing but she is also involved in the writing and production process of her music as well. There is a piece of her in all parts of her work which we find to be fascinating!
Here is a snapshot that was shot in the middle of one of her studio sessions where she politely allows us to have a glimpse of her behind the scenes world (which we want and need a lot more of sweetie, I’m just saying). It helps you to understand what all goes into creating a record from scratch and having the ability to do such a thing still has our minds in disarray. We cannot wait to here her unreleased music that she has been cooking up (in secrecy no doubt *eye roll*) and aside from all of the music work let us take a moment and just look at her in this photo. Natural, candid and oh so beautiful! She was happy to give a glimpse of her behind the curtain life (that remains a mystery for the most part) and she glows while doing so. She is happy and in her element which explains why everything that this woman creates is so spectacular.

How does one achieve a hot body like this chica right here! Magic? We'll never know. One things for sure that whatever her workout is its something we all need in our lives. We are not sure why her hair is in her face but lets be honest we are all looking at her flawless figure and trunk to figure out how the f$%k we can get our bodies to look like that! She has a sultry, wet, sweaty look (which is different and new)(but we love it) and kept it bare with little to no make-up on (lLOVE). "The Icon - MAKE WAY FOR HEATHER FAY" That title seems fitting considering the effect she has had eve just as a startup musician on the local scene. So what exactly is in store for Heather Fay in the future. Luckily we get a glimpse of that in this several page spread in the WeLab magazine Holiday Edition. Well lets dig in.
As we have mentioned previously, this past December 2017 Heather Fay was featured on the cover of WeLab Magazine for the holiday edition. On the inside she discussed her 2017 accomplishments (which were MAJOR) and what lies ahead for the pop star this upcoming 2018.
She candidly gives holiday fashion advice (of course) and talks about her direction in the toughest industry of them all and the style of music we can expect from her. Heather Fay’s Posts Beautiful Selfie
Heather Fay posted a selfie on her instagram page looking ever so photogenic, per usual. Her striking features grasp you in this photo. While she casually looks directly at you she has a calming tone to her eyes, paired with a sexy hand in the hair. Her golden necklaces look simple and elegant against her golden skin and her SKIN. Smooth and flawless. How does one achieve such perfection with ease. Her eyes are always mind-blowing and she did a sexy smokey eye type look with the eyeshadow to make them pop just the right amount (as if they don't already pop). But hey. it's Heather Fay she goes the extra mile.
It is a casual everyday thing to take a selfie but this is not just any selfie. This is remarkably beautiful and goes to show she is truly one of a kind, pushes the limits, and pays attention to detail. Miss Fay has that "IT" factor and does it well. Can we please see some more selfies like these? It would be a nice treat I'm just saying. We love all of her posts though but the candid , cute selfies will always be a joy.

Happy Holiday and Happy Birthday with a magazine cover and now Happy New Years eve from Heather Fay in a drop dead gorgeous ensemble that she of course curated herself. Head to toe golden shimmer is how recording artist Heather Fay decided to kick off the new year in New York City. This gold sequin piece was designed and handmade by Heather and fits her flawless frame like a glove! It is sheer perfection and does not get much better than this and it is literally sheer. Underneath the shiny gold sequin is sheer black mesh and we can literally see her body through the dress. How dare she do this and only give us one photo to zoom in on. Haha. Heather Fay in the recording studio (bts)
We were able to come across some adorable photos of Heather in the studio and I know I'm probably repeating myself but her face is just so beautiful I cannot get enough of it who could get enough of that. Heather Fay in her black leather jacket and thigh high boots looking like the fashionista she is, who will also kick ass and get the job done while looking good doing it.
Heather Fay is photographed with who we believe to be her engineer however we cannot confirm that for sure if we ever receive confirmation we will update this post. Heather Fay has the most photogenic demeanor and she always looks as though she is supposed to be in front of the camera. She never takes a bad photo.

Heather Fay's pants come off (just kidding)
Well it happened. Heather Fay ripped her pants off in public in front of everybody... We're only kidding.
Her pants are off, but in an acceptable way. Heather Fay sports an oversized flannel shirt dress that is super cute and the colors of it are different than what she would normally wear, however it looks amazing on her. She tagged 2020 Ave as the store she purchased it from so we looked it up and it is no longer available unfortunately.
We think that if you have the legs for it , you should go for it and she most certainly does and did. Some people may think this shirt is a little on the short side and although it may be if you have legs like Heather Fay does then who cares. We want to see more of Heather's body.
Lets also look at how perfect her naturally curled hair looks. Not only that but again with her eyes that look like they could glow in the dark against her olive complexion.Her face is absolute perfection always but especially in this photo. Heather Fay post-workout photo in Venice, California
HELLO HEATHER FAY! She is a cutie even when she is sweaty and just got done working out. Her braids are slightly messed up but still adorable. The color blue of her sports bra is not typically a color we would see her in, EVER. She usually keeps it simple with a minimalistic capsule wardrobe. She is usually spotted in earth tones and greyscale colors which all look quite nice on her however seeing her in a bright vibrant color like this is also a delight and joyous occasion for anyone.
She posted a tired photo after doing FOUR HUNDRED squats (according to her caption)! Although she doesn't look that tired, she is wearing no makeup and french braids while doing a cute pout. Even being exhausted from a work out looks good on this girl. She blows our minds away.
The Venice, Los Angeles scenery is in the background with a hint of sun rays beaming down on her makes for a great photo not your typical post-workout photo. We can tell from analyzing her images that she truly pays attention to detail. She should show us her workout routine either in a video or photos whichever and she needs to post more of her fitness because we are all trying to get that body. So Heather if you could please lend us a tip or two we would all greatly appreciate it! Thank you!

Heather Fay sporting BKE Rip Jeans in Venice, California
Her infamous outfit collages get better and better with each one that she posts to her social media. She has posted outfit collages since what, 2012? 2013? We should do a post on her outfit collage evolution that would be really nice. For a while that was about all that she posted but her outfits were always so cute and on point that even then you still couldn't get enough of them.
Heather not only showcased her naturally curly hair in this picture but she is sporting jeans with an enormous rip or two in them (or three or four...) out and about in Venice, California. Although the rips in her jeans were a lot to initially take in, it actually became a new trend shortly thereafter in the fashion world and many celebrities have been spotted out with similar rip jeans.
All in all we obviously love it and want more of it! And we were not lying about the post of her outfit collage evolution! Her style is the perfect balance of chic and high end mixed with casual and relatable.
P.S. Did you guys see the shape of her earrings? To die for. They are octagon or hexagon earrings. This is were she incorporates unique little touches to make something different and trendy. Again, WE LOVE IT!
