Roxas froze before quickly gripping Riku’s wrist to stop him. “Hey, hold up!” Getting to his feet still clutching the ice cream in his hand he sighed. “I’m sorry. I’ll get serious now, okay? So don’t leave.” Sora would lecture his ear off if he pissed Riku off to leave.

“Wait here.” He said softly and went to his back pack to retrieve and audio tape recorder. “Here. This might help you.” He said gently grabbing Riku’s hand to grip it. “It’s an audio recorder. It has the textbook chapters we’ve been studying. You can listen to it until you know it. I’ll read out each of the questions again.”

“I have studied it!” Riku snapped. “But I can’t go over again because, guess what, I’m blind! And the school doesn’t believe me so they won’t even give me braille stuff! So thanks for pointing out my flaws!”

Riku huffed, looking to the side. “This is stupid. I’m leaving.”

Roxas rolled his eyes trashing the paper on his ice cream and stuffed it into his mouth. He hated this. Wasting his valuable time with this thing. Though seems they were in the same boat. Trying to please a certain brunet who they both loved for very different reasons.

“I would but Sora said specifically not to give you the answers.” He waved him off munching on his ice cream before taking the pencil the other was using to doodle in Riku’s notebook. Riku sucks ass seemed nice. “If you had studied you’d know it.” 

Riku huffed to himself as he rested his chin in his hand and looked away. He hated this just as much as Roxas did. It wasn’t like he needed help studying; he was just doing it to please Sora.

“Then why don’t you just tell me the answer? I can’t see it, remember?”

He was getting tired of playing this game.

Familiar Faces

Sora talked about her and Riku nonstop. Which was no surprise as the brunet adored them both. He hadn’t spoken to her much and he purposely avoided Riku for reasons. Though since Sora was busy and he wasn’t used to anyone else around town he figured why not try his luck. Usually reserved he made the trek to where he was pretty sure Kairi stayed.

Lucky for him she was outside her home. “Hey, Nami- er... um no... K-Kairi.” Scratching at his blond spikes at the slip up he grinned a bit sheepish. “Sorry, Kairi. Um... Are you busy? If you’re not, would you like to come to beach with me?” The beach made him calm and happy like the tower in Twilight Town did. And it was always good with a friend.

Why was there.... a familiar feeling within his chest when he looked at her? A lingering question that bothered the Nobody. He didn’t know what the feeling was. All he knew was that it was uncomfortable. Biting his bottom lip the teen fought with the option to approach her. A strange nervous overtaking him as he had never felt this way before.

He didn’t get a choice as his body moved on its own. Gravitating toward the woman who was a stranger and yet felt so familiar. Fist balling up where his heart would be clutching his shirt he could nothing but stare at her unable to mutter a word even though he could touch her simply by reaching out.

It wasn’t like he was taking pity on the older boy. At least that’s what he told himself. The revelation was fresh in each of their minds and although the blond tried to be sympathetic he wasn’t one for patience. And honestly? Neither was Riku. Two teenage boys with tempers that could flare at the the drop of a hat seemed to be poor decision making.

“Nope, that’s wrong again. I’m not telling you the test problem again.” He sighed in slight annoyance. He got the other was blind, but repeating the question and telling him how to do do what was on the sheet was annoying. Really he could just give the other the answer from the textbook. But Sora would have a fit if he cheated for him.

Cerulean orbs lit up in shock, as the other just stared. The nobody made a slight suspicious face as the other’s twin gaze was on him. It was weird and kind of creepy. “What do you-?” He started only to freeze in the middle of it as a gentle kiss was pressed onto his lips.

Face flared a crimson color, and the blond covered his face with his hands. “Sora...” A small groan left his lips pouting a bit as he was caught off guard. “Warn me next time...”

He watched the brunet out of the corner of his eyes and smiled softly when the other made a face at the first bite. A fond memory surfacing in the blond’s head before leaning over to wrap an arm around the brunet’s shoulders. Even Sora didn’t know what he was supposed to be appreciating.

“Alright, I’m sorry. Though I have small inkling you don’t even know. And maybe you aren’t that ew.”

     Sora huffed as he goes to eat the ice cream though made a slight face cause had almost forgotten what he was eating. Almost forgetting that seasalt ice cream was very sweet after the first taste. At the question of what Roxas was supposed to be appreciating the keyblade wielder blanked out for a second. Allowing a slight pause before he replied.

     “Isn’t it obvious? If not I’m not explaining it since I’m so ew.” He stated, turning his head away as he bites into the treat.
