If you love a really good story with deep characters and an absolutely epic organic romance then Under the Power is a definite MUST!!! I started watching it think how the hell will they EVER get the Male lead and Female lead together, he is so tsundere and brutal and she’s so fiesty and independent, then I got to episode 13 and I was like... WHY did I ever doubt they were going to go HOH for each other, it literally creeped up on me and it’s SO SO SO well done, they even cooked it for another 19 episodes and I literally didn’t care it was so fucking good.❤️❤️❤️

I was really looking for a drama to take the edge off finishing Eternal Love of Dream because I just wasn’t prepared for it to end to be honest, really miss Dong Hua, Feng Jui and the gang. So when I came across Under the Power starring Tan Songyun And Ren Jialun and the Sherlock like premise I thought, hey,this might just be what I’m looking for.

After 3 episodes I was HOOKED! It takes some time to learn the world and characters but that’s true with all dramas. There are some things that aren’t so great but BY GOD they really nailed the romance between the main characters, the actor/actress are FANTASTIC especially when Ren Jialun character is quite cold and stoic, once the romance begins to warm up he expresses so much with just his eyes I kept rewatching certain scenes because they were just so heartfelt and packed with emotion. Tan Songyun also acts her ass off, she’s feisty but honest and a good fighter, she’s a constable with the Liushanmen and through certain circumstances she ends up working with Ren Jialuns character Lu Yi whom works Jing Yi Wei. Seriously watch this show, it was awesome and unique in that Tan’s character was capable and just straight up honest with herself and her feelings.

I saw the triality of this man and decided to watch ‘Beneath the Brocade Robes’😆
