I love how so many people have been confused and amused by that guy in the Sochi Olympics who was at the top of the slopestyle track during the men’s competition just casually knitting away
and it turned out to be Finland’s snowboarding coach.

Over the past few months I’ve been thinking that the nonprofit I knit for, Knitted Knockers, might also be able to benefit trans people. Currently the organization provides knitted breast prosthetics for mastectomy patients that are soft, comfortable, and affordable (more info at www.knittedknockers.org ), and I thought they might also be beneficial to the trans community. However, in order to make sure this will actually help people, I’ll need some help with the proceedings.
My plan so far: 1) Assess usefulness. If any trans ladies or nonbinary people would like to test them out for me (must be comfortable giving me your mailing address for shipping purposes), I’d really appreciate it if you’d direct message or ask me on this blog. I’d also really appreciate it if those who aren’t interested could reblog this post or forward it to people who might find it useful. 2) Approach Knitted Knockers. I’d like to create an offshoot of Knitted Knockers if possible, because I’m personally involved with the program and want to support it, but also because they have a wide audience who can help spread the message. If they say no, form my own organization. I have plans for this step but this PSA is long enough already so more details later if all goes well. 3) Distribute!
I’d also really appreciate feedback and/or advice, especially from the trans community.
Thanks for your attention, Jean

My Pokemon Crochet blanket is finished!!! 😀There are 150 separate panels that took about 1-2 hours each to make depending on how detailed they are. They are all now joined together and with a single row border around the outside (although I may add to this and make it bigger) this wasn’t an easy pattern to make, to get enough detail into each panel to make a recognisable Pokemon was not easy but I’m very happy with how it has turned out 😊 This was made using Dk yarn, both hayfield bonus Dk and wi yarn from Hobbycraft, a 4mm hook and a uk dc stitch. I already have my next 2 big blanket patterns ready…. more Pokemon or Zelda? #crochet #crochetmagic #crochetmagicpb #crochetmon #crochetaddict #crochetalong #crochetersofinstagram #crochetpattern #crochetblanket #pokemon #pokemongo #pokemonredandblue #pokemonblue #pokemonred #originalpokemon #diy #crafts #blanket #pattern #freepattern #freecrochetpattern #hobbycraft

A little over a year ago my partner Kendra Marks designed this amazing knitting pattern for a They Toque/Beanie We call beanies “toques” in Canada. We even had ten of them made and they sold out at the first show I had them at.
Download the pattern for free here:

Harvest moon crochet blanket finished! :)
Has taken about 4-5 months and has been so fun to make and see the picture building with each line. I love it! I made the picture and turned it into the pattern myself. It is done using a uk 4.5mm hook, dc stitch. All the yarn I used was from Hobbycraft, the wi yarn and hayfield bonus dk. There are 51,060 stitches in total!
Harvest moon on the snes was one of the first games I remember playing, I used to play it for hours, and is still one of my favourite games today :)
I will post a video on YouTube of this from start to finish. If anyone want to get in contact with me please email [email protected]
