I am obsessed with his tiny exhalations. Not quite a laugh, but neither a sigh; replete with a dozen or more different meanings, all dripping in humanity. Relief and satisfaction. Joy and wonder. Trepidation and disbelief. Longing. Excitement. Love--pure and so utterly overwhelming, it renders him speechless, as if the weight of his unexpected happiness is so great, it punches the breath right out of his lungs.
