💙💙My Thomas reference 💙💙

"The NWR's number one engine, Thomas the E2 class tank engine ((with extended side tanks)) is the most well known engine on the island of Sodor. He has forever been one of the cheekiest engines on Sodor even as he has matured through the years. Even though he is cheeky and annoys some other engines, he still remains to be a responsible worker and good friend."

Rough Height and age estimates: He is around 6'3 and is 106 years old as of 2021.

Before Sodor: He worked on the LBSCR in Brighton alongside many different engines, including a lot of his brothers. One of those brothers being Timothy (ya know that one creepy-pasta engine, more on him in a future post). He worked there until he was brought permanently to Sodor by Sir Topham Hatt in mid 1922.

Personal headcanon Voice Claim: Suddy Soap -Bar Productions (Go to 0:21 and 0:35 in this video to hear the voice) (( Side note: you can imagine my Thomas sounding however you like, I just picture him sounding like that))

Some facts about the reference:

As you can probably or well hopefully see, Thomas has some scars on his hands during the 60's and onward. Well that is a reference to his crash into a station master's house which messed up his buffer beam (hands). He was rebuilt in 1960 in my canon (which is also the canon from RWS)

He has identical patches that say the number 1 on both of the shoulders of his jacket. All tank engines with numbers have those types of patches. (I apologize for the poor quality of the patches on the full outfit references, they were a slight after thought)

Yes his hats are different in style although it may be hard to tell.

💙💙 My Edward reference 💙💙

"One of the older engines on the island of Sodor we have the NWR's number 2. The Furness Railway K2 class tender engine is the reliable, determined, and kind mentor to a lot of the other engines on Sodor. He has also known to be the voice of reason, if it wasn't for him Tidmouth Sheds would be in shambles. Although Edward is quite old, he still has a lot of fire left in him."

Rough Height and age estimates: Edward is about 6"7 and he is 125 years old as of 2021.

Before Sodor: Edward worked on the Furness Railway (as you can see by his 1896-1913 appearance). Back then, Edward differed slightly in personality. He was less mature and less experienced. He also used to be more mischievous. Anytime someone had messed with him or his friends on Furness, Edward would always come up with a good way to get back at them. Although, that did get him into trouble...While working primarily on the FR, Edward was brought to Sodor to help in the construction of the railway. Eventually, he was purchased by Sir Topham Hatt in 1915, and was the first engine to receive the NWR blue livery.

Personal voice headcanon: Okay so this one is tricky. I like a lot of Edward voices. Keith Wickham's voice for him works although I do like how he sounds in this video, "Edward Takes A Stand" ( go to 2:09 and 3:00 to hear him speak)

Some Facts about the reference:

In his NWR blue look, his shoes are supposed to have laces, I realize it is hard to tell so I thought I should clarify that.

The arm bands are a common sight on all tender engines. Whatever is painted on the tender is on the arm band. (yes the "FR" stands for Furness Railway.

Edward's hair is not black, it is a dark "chocolate" brown with warm grey mixed in.

Edward has a scar from "Edward's Exploit" on one of his legs, which I may detail in a different post eventually.

His hair was a little longer for quite a bit until the mid 1930s.
