I have a very messy Google Docs diary and I wanted to see if ChatGPT could make it more coherent. Look, I'm all for AI is ruining literature, but I wanted to give this one a go. Just because. This was my prompt:

And the generated answer started out rough, completely copying the way I wrote this entry (messily):

Okay, that sounds shit. I was writing about a co-worker whom I was crushing on. Now after reading the next few lines, I might have been crushing a little too hard without noticing, only this AI was able to rephrase it "better" in some ways:

For context, Josh is another co-worker who knows about this small crush (he's not the person I was writing about)... Also, "the art of feeling something"? Seriously? This line is stiff, I'm aware, but bear with me...

Covering the name of the place we went to because it would be WAYY obvious where this was set in. Anyway:

Uhm, *crunch crunch*, this AI ate with "The kind of casual that feels like a secret handshake with fate". And again for context why it was kind (my bar is not low), he lived far away from me and he offered to drive me all the way home. I'm also aware that any time the universe is mentioned, shit gets corny as hell.

These phrasings are familiar, commonly used in novels and I can tell it rips off that pattern. But my god, this made my feelings deeper.

And this chapter of my life will officially be called "Brown Jacket Boy Moments".
