Truth 1
Killian does indeed have a bit of a phobia of horses. This is actually due to the trauma that Killian experienced at a young age. When Killian was a boy, he would often shirk his studies, preferring instead to explore his family’s estate. One day, he met one of his family’s workhorses named Calyx. Killian created a deep bond with Calyx. And even if it was just a simple horse, it was the most affection had received up to that point in his life. His mother was long since dead and he didn’t even know her face, his father was a vile and cruel man who treated him and his twin brother Cassian quite coldly, as well as forcing them to compete with each other constantly to see which one of them would become the heir.
He did love his brother, but Killian was not allowed to casually talk to him. Odd that they shared the same face and the same house but could not share a word or two.
Killian never really cared about becoming the next Lord of Sanguine, it had never been his plan, but when found out what was required of them he threw himself into training so that Cassian would not have to experience it.
He still visited Calyx and told the horse about his troubles and worries, the animal was his confidante. The only creature in existence who would listen to him, the only one Killian could let down his mask around.
Then came the day Killian would be officially named Heir of the Sanguine, and his initiation was to directly drink the life out of a human being.
Killian refused and pleaded with his father that it didn’t need to be human, that he could hunt down an animal instead, his father told him that humans were animals but agreed that he would drink the life out of an animal and the human would be spared.
His father led him outside to Calyx’s stable and told him that if he failed again, then Cassian would be the heir. Of course, his father had known all along about Killian’s motivation for being the heir and his frequent visits to the horse, it was fine to him, it just made his son easier to manipulate.
Killian had to make a terrible choice that day.
He had to either murder his only friend, or let his brother get dragged into the hellish world his father wanted to create.
He was the older one even if only by a few minutes, and as the older brother he felt it was his duty to protect Cassian, and if he had to walk a path stained with blood to do that then he would.
Killian closed his eyes and bit down, and he didn’t open them until the struggling stopped.
Truth 2
Killian did for a time, write poetry.
During the Hidden Fang War, Killian met the one he would call his love, his Rose. Although they once stood opposed, they fought side by side afterwards, only separating when it was necessary. But whether they were separated or not, Killian wrote his love poetry every night and left it for them to read in the morning, as he could not be there with them when the sun rose.
To Killian, writing was a very enjoyable and different experience, after living a life that was intrinsically bound by death and blood.
He found the act of creating instead of destroying rather novel and even better, he could better express his love in ways that it seemed the words from his mouth could not.
And he did that from the day they met in 1422, to the day that his love died in 1461.
He wrote and wrote. Infinite poems for his Rose, that they would never get to read. That fateful day he wrote until he ran out of ink and then wrote a thousand more poems using his own blood.
He never wrote another after that.
The Lie
If you had guessed that Killian had never turned someone into a vampire or ghoul was the lie, then you were correct.
Killian as a Pureblooded Vampire has the ability to turn a human into a vampire or ghoul, using the secondary set of blood within his body.
Killian has been very careful to never spawn a ghoul, as he detests the thought of taking away a person's individuality and autonomy.
The process of turning a human into a Vampire is torturous at best, and not something that should be done without careful consideration from all parties.
As such, Killian has only ever turned a select few humans into Vampires and only due to dire situations.
Two Truths and a Lie
Thanks to @ceph-the-ghost-writer for tagging me. I guessed Dorian being afraid of bugs was the lie. Just cause I think it’s funny.
Tagging @noircosmicawrites @uraniumwriting @kaiusvnoir to do this for one of their characters. And whoever else wants to.
For this one, I decided to talk about Killian, an old pureblooded vampire from my series Written in Blood.
1 - Despite being a powerful pureblooded vampire and having fought thousands of horrific creatures of every shape and size, Killian has a phobia of horses.
2 - Killian loved writing poetry and has written hundreds of flowery sonnets for his love, but has not done so for a long time after they passed away.
3 - Killian has never turned someone into a vampire or a ghoul.

The Veils
I want to give a little overview of the world all my WIPS take place.
A place where monsters walk among men, where magic meets the mundane, and mystery shrouds everything in the veils of night.
“The Veil keeps your eyes closed to the truth. But be careful for once they are open they can never be closed.” - Dreizehn
The Veils
The Veils, also known as “The Abyssal Gates” or “The Shade of the Sleeping” (also sometimes simply known as “The Walls”).
To further explain: you can think of reality as a whole as concentric circles, with veils being the line between the expanding circles.
The Veil is thought to be The Abyss seeping in between the gaps of the worlds, consequently creating other levels and hiding them from the slumbering humans. Those who have opened their eyes to the truth can see past the veil… Or at least the first one. The majority of Fiends also live past the first level of the veil but below the second.
The first veil is the thinnest, it separates the physical from the metaphysical, and it works on the vast majority of humans. It obscures the next level of the world from them, but to an extent, also protects them as it obscures them from the inhabitants of the next level.
The second veil separates the metaphysical from the purely spiritual. As an example, a Metaphysical being like a vampire might not necessarily be able to see purely spiritual beings like ghosts or demons.
Past that lies the third veil, which separates the spiritual world from the abstract world. Most fiends are not even aware of the abstract realms' existence. Deep within the Abstract Realm exist beings and concepts that are incomprehensible, Gods or Eldritch Horrors, call them what you like as there are no words of any language that can truly describe them.
And beyond The Abstract lies The Abyss, which acts as the final and unsurpassable veil.

Writeblr Introduction 👁
Noir | They/She | Adult | Afrolatine & Indigenous
Hello Tumblr! I'm back again on my bullshit, after some time away from this blue hellsite I decided to come back! I've wanted to be more serious about my writing projects, so I thought keeping everything neatly organized into a blog would be ideal.
I'm a visual designer, future (?) podcaster, voiceover artist, and writer with an interest in cosmic horror, magical realism, science fiction, psychology and the supernatural in general. I enjoy indie horror videogames, anime & manga, ARGs and narrative podcasts. In typical Autistic + ADHD fashion, I have a myriad of special interests that usually fuel my desire to work on creative projects. So here we are, trying to keep everything organized!
I follow and interact from my main blog (yes I'm also a VTuber lol); @noircosmica, so if you see that one follow you, it's me in another font! I'm open to follow and interact with other writing blogs, and I also love when people go feral about their OC's! Absolutely love that.
Writing Themes & Tropes
My projects are a reflection of reality not being what it seems at first glance, the monsters we hide in plain sight and visceral horror being a metaphor for the darker things that lurk within. I very much enjoy character-driven narratives, unreliable narrators and rich, complex settings where the environment becomes a character itself. Also mindfucks, knowledge that is Too Much To Bear but you can't stop craving more, creatures that defy everything we know about life itself, final girls who were the monsters all along, and gods that were never gods but rather something else.
I guess more specific themes would be gothic horror, religious horror, being a bisexual, nonbinary menace, indigenous beliefs and tales (I'm well versed in Central American superstitions and mythology as that's where I live), anything that rips reality apart and holds the boring and the mundane in its jaws, spitting it onto the trash where it belongs.
What You'll See Here:
Short Stories
Personal Essays with a hint of magical realism & horror
Ramblings and Rants. I talk to myself... A lot.
Narrative Podcast WIPs
Maybe a couple ideas for a novel or two... Or three. 👁
Poetry
My reading list + reviews of media I consume I guess
Moodboards, lots of moodboards
Drawings of my OC's (I draw too, sometimes)
Current WIPs
Tale of Two Souls (Novel, Video-Game inspired)
A raw blend between science fiction and high fantasy that defies the chosen one trope, developing a connection stronger than time itself, love that transcends duty, a world that is consumed by magic, becoming legends and writing a neverending history in the stars, and of course: the horrors that come from The Beyond. Joint project alongside @theaudiofiend
Café Misterio (Interactive Narrative Podcast)
The Pale Ones will lead you astray, and nothing will be left of you. Not even the memory of what you once used to be. To avoid this fate, you must remember: Find the coffee shop. Don't look back. And step out of the Light. The darkness will guide you.
The Penumbra Polarity (Narrative Podcast/ARG/Mixed Media?)
A planet consumed by nothing but silence. The Quiet World, where the entirety of humanity once thrived, now empty. Not a single soul left to tell the story of their hubris. We were meant to be their successors, but are we human at all? Made in their image, from the proverbial rib, we have become More. Now we chronicle the wonders of dimensional planes that do not belong to us. Because if not us, who will? Joint project alongside @theaudiofiend
I have more, but I'll make another post for that.
Thanks for reading! 🖤 May the horrors of life be bearable and soft on you! :3
#i am so excited#I will literally explode#You deserve the world#Every moment I write with you is a dream come true#:3

Writeblr Introduction
Hello everyone! This is a bit of a different Writerblr introduction. I wanted to join this wonderful community and chronicle some of my writing projects that I plan to one day turn into an audio roleplay series, maybe even a book, who knows. I'm a Voice Actor and you can call me Fiend. I very much enjoy creating supernatural worlds and am inspired by podcasts like Welcome To Nightvale and The Magnus Archives.
About The Writer
Bisexual with nonbinary tendencies
He/They Pronouns
Three and a half cats in a trenchcoat, actually
I enjoy puzzles and tactical games
I'm Autistic (creating magic systems is one of my special interests, actually)
A world history and mythology nerd
Lover of videogames (RPGs, horror, souls-like)
I could talk for hours about Dark Souls. Days and months even, if you ask me about Bloodborne. Tread carefully.
I enjoy writing about supernatural mysteries, mythology, gay monsters, GNC characters, philosophy, unique magic systems, character-driven narratives and also building complex worlds.
About The Projects
I have created a multilayered Universe for my projects, in which I write different character-driven narratives that affect a world consumed by mystery and the supernatural. These are meant to be interactive stories, so each character interacts with the listener and will be voiced by me in my upcoming audio series!
Beast Beneath The Moonlight: A story about Gabriel, an idealistic intern at a hospital whose life goal is to save as many people as he can. He is turned into a werewolf and is then forced to confront his inner beast, contemplate mortality and understand the true meaning of strength.
Written in Blood: Killian, a very old vampire from a bygone era, struggling to cope with the death of his lover centuries before, trying his best to live his remaining days in peace until his very bloody past starts to catch up to him.
Fiends With Benefits: Levi, a half-demon caught between the Mortal and Supernatural world, expected to be the best by both worlds while not being accepted by either. He lives under his predecessor's shadow until a plot that could unravel Fiend Society is brought to light.
There will be more stories within this world, so stay tuned.
