Happy birthday, TAS!

The server is now one year old. Time flies, huh? It doesn't feel like it's been a whole year yet, yet here we are. I'm a little bit late on making this announcement, ignore that.

We're sitting just under 300 members--that's an astounding achievement in just a year. I never even dreamed of running such a successful server in a community that meant so much to me. From the active members, to the lurkers, from the here-to-learn, to the here-to-educate, I can't thank you all enough. You've all helped this community grow and thrive though thick and thin, and that means a lot.

I'd also like to thank the other staff here as well. I definitely wouldn't be able to do this on my own. Running this place means a lot to me and doing it with an albeit small team of close friends is better than I could have asked for. Without the Sparks system helping me create the server, and without Perci helping us both moderate, I don't know if we would've gotten this far.

The original aim of the server was to educate people within the community and to help people outside of it understand Alterhumanity. We were to be an educational resource, but I never dreamed of us getting this big. Just under 300 is a lot of people. Not the biggest, but definitely far from the smallest. A passion project of mine and the Sparks system turned into something much more, and I hope to have this place keep on growing.

Hey all! This is an all-inclusive Alterhuman server for:

Otherkin, Therians, Phytanthropes, Theriomythicals and Fictionkin.

Multiples, Medians, Soulbonders, Tulpamancers and other plurals.

Otherhearteds/Kith and Synpaths.

Otherlinkers and Copinglinkers.

Vampires.

Starseeds.

Godshards.

And anyone else whose identity identifies as Alterhuman, though we do allow those curious without malicious intent to participate!

We aim to be friendly and open to people with any identity that isn’t considered ‘normally human’ while also speaking in-depth about our experiences and correcting misinformation spread by trolls here and there.

Please keep in mind that this server is:

Friendly toward systems of all kinds. If you disagree with Endogenic Systems, Quoigenic Systems, tulpas or soulbonds, this is not the server for you. We will not tolerate any harassment or invalidation.

A doubles-friendly environment. We understand you may be uncomfortable with doubles, but this is not the way we run our server in particular.

A serious environment. That doesn’t mean we don’t have fun, but we take our identities seriously here! This isn’t roleplay, remember! That also means that we do attempt to correct misinformation surrounding our identities.

Blacklist free. We have found that using a blacklist limits conversation topics. We do try to change topics whenever something possibly triggering comes up, and we have specific channels to talk about those sorts of topics in, but we don’t have a set-in-stone blacklist.

Opinion diverse. Many different people with many different opinions reside here and we wish to be inclusive for all. There may be people you disagree with here, but this is not the server to argue their beliefs. Regardless of the diversities in the religious and political views within this server, we still do not tolerate homophobia, transphobia, etc.
