I saw ur tags and I wanted to clarify!! there are 6 professor layton games total, 7 if u include the crossover Phoenix Wright vs professor layton. in release date order they go Curious village, diabolical box, unwound future, last spectre, miracle mask azran legacy, and the crossover game. The movie takes place between last spectre and miracle mask. Hope that helps in ur layton endeavors! enjoy the games!

Each Ultimate is hiding in different areas and then meet Kokichi and Himoko. Kokichi's like: "hey I got this not so secret circus, wanna join" everyone says no but agrees to watch a performance and they eventually decide to join (mostly for food and shelter tho.
