It was late evening when Caithe came to visit Trahearne. They met in the common room of the Pod House, sat at the table and drank coffee to wake up.

“So, tell me about this task of yours,” Trahearne said between sips.

“In a moment. We’re still waiting for someone.”

“Who?”

“Me~.”

Oh, that voice alone made him mentally grit his teeth! Why would Caithe invite this Dreamless stranger? He gave her a harsh look but she only rolled her eyes at him and got up to greet the other sylvari.

“I’m glad you came, Airell. This is-”

“The pretty albeit boring prude that thinks he’s of any threat to me, from two days ago! Oh, I remember. How could I ever forget such a face?” Airell bowed to him but it seemed to be a bow of faked respect instead of a genuine greeting.

“That’s my elder brother, Trahearne,” she corrected them.

“That Trahearne?” Airell looked at Caithe with disbelief then at him. A mischievous smirk appeared on their face. “You’re kidding, right?” They then turned to face Trahearne, who had already stood up and was ready to leave. “I’ve got to admit, I imagined you to be quite different, Trahearne.” The way they said his name made shivers climb up his spine and it was not in a pleasant way. “Firstly, I thought you’d be taller. Definitely taller. And, perhaps, more ballsy. At least you’re pretty.” Trahearne only scoffed in response and moved a couple steps away from them. This Airell person was weird and creepy and, yes, people said the same about him, but this was different. Traheare kept to his peaceful self, while Airell seemed to thrive in chaos of their own making. How could Caithe even think that they could work together? No sane person would get such ideas, she was clearly out of her mind.

“Caithe, I do not think you need my assistance as you’ve already got this… clown at your disposal,” Trahearne said through clenched teeth.

“I need you both,” she shook her head. “Now, please, sit down and let’s talk about this. Like adults.”

“Yes, Trahearne, like adults,” Airell teased and with a shit-eating grin sat on a chair next to Trahearne’s, then proceeded to put one of his feet on his seat. They looked at him with this awaiting expression on their face, daring him to sit there, ready to continue this…pathetic, juvenile idea of…of what, exactly? Flirting? Just what was going on in that thorny head of theirs? Trahearne furrowed his eyebrows and sat on a chair opposite of them, next to Caithe.

“Fine. What do you need help with, sister?”
