So when Hermione became minister of magic, one of the first things she does is try and integrate muggle norms into standard wizarding society, e.g social media. So she posts a harmless picture of herself and the most highly regarded ministry officials with a bunch of political stuff underneath.

But now none of them - Hermione, the other ministry workers, any of the Weasley family - are quite sure how to react to or deal with the fact that Percy now has a very global fandom of simps. Or how to tell him, for that matter.

Dear @twogolddoubloons89,

I will let you and @vulcajeshave have all the credit for bringing the ship of Lucius x Petunia to tumblr and coming up with the ship names, because I’m nice like that (and also because I didn’t help at all). But as an avid shipper of this pairing since 2022, I at least demand SOME of the rights and royalties for when Petalsnake will inevitably consume almost the entirety of the HP fandom and develop a following to rival the Roman Empire.

I just KNOW that Lucius was the one to come up with the things Xenophilius believed.

Logically there’s very little chance of someone creating whole species and conspiracy theories and still sincerely believing in them into adulthood and basing a career around them. So if it can’t be nature, it has to nurture.

So long story short, Lucius and sometimes his friends fed a bunch of weird shit into Xenophilius’s impressionable mind when they were young by making up stories around his accidental magic and people gave up trying to convince him that Lucius was lying.
