There was no end goal in mind or any kind of exact thing I was trying to achieve here, I just let my mind turn off and did whatever I felt was needed and this ended up being the result. It almost looks like either a mix of oil and water on the left or air bubbles in water on the right. Either way. No thoughts, head was empty.

Experimentation with art sometimes leads me to some wild end pieces. This piece started out as an experiment on a halfdrop pattern like below

This just uses one shape and two colors. But it was an interesting after effect of the halfdrop pattern.

Chose to mess with the outlines on a black canvas and these came up

Then decided to create a sinking in feeling.

Stacked them all together and added some blurred white shapes on top of it to produce the original top image

Then decided to take said top image and just duplicate and rotate it 4 times so each image was facing either up, down, left, or right and ended up with this spaghetti looking mess.

Learning from experimentation is a lot of fun. And sometimes the results are super cool.

Was doing some experimentation here with this kind of set up of a rotational shape

Here is all of the layers at 30% opacity and it makes this cool looking flower shape

Here is the same opacity level but with each layer set to difference mode

Here is the two previous layers merged together with the top layer switched to additive mode

And here is all layers added together.

Experimentation is fun sometimes. You learn new things.

Was attempting another 70’s style wall paper pattern when I got sidetracked and influenced by the emperors new groove. So I present a wall paper pattern based on Kronk and Yzma

The basic pieces for the pattern, Kronk on the left, Yzma on the right

And patterned out three times.

I could see this as a background in the movie itself but it’s also a nice wallpaper look.

Feeling like I don’t belong and that pieces are missing/misaligned. Tried to put that feeling into a visual piece and this is what came out of it.

A cool papercraft pattern of implied 3d stars

Here are the two base stars I started with but with the cut out pieces as the paper part. Still a cool set up.

This helped somewhat with motivation.
