Go Into A Bit Of A Panic!
Because Iâd immediately feel a tremendous amount of pressure to be the amazing hypnotist who could solve all their problems. Not wanting to fail and not wanting to look a fool in front of the client â I would go into frenzied research mode where Iâd read up on other people who had the same (or a similar) problem and figure out all the best hypnosis techniques I could use on them during the sit down session together. But guess what happened? When Iâd meet with the client for the appointed session Iâd almost always find out something unexpected⌠âŚIâd find out that the problem they told me they had over the telephone (i.e. their reason for booking a hypnosis session with me) would not, in fact, be the real underlying issue that needed working on. So all that research Iâd have done⌠all the reading up⌠all the ideas Iâd garnered⌠all the hypnosis techniques Iâd âstockpiledâ in my brain ready to use towow the client⌠âŚand all the nervous energy Iâd burnt up leading up to the hypnosis session⌠All Of It Was Next To Useless Because I Had Misunderstood The Clientâs Real Underlying Issues
nd that, by the way, is the BIGGEST trap hypnotists and hypnotherapists fall into. Itâs WHY many hypnotists are not as successful at resolving clientâs issues as they could be. No hypnosis technique is effective (or as effective as it could be) if it is aimed at the wrong problem. ? To be clear: People are not trying to trick you when they tell you their problem. Their problem IS real. Itâs just that they can only âseeâ their problem from a conscious perspective (in the way the problem shows up in certain situations and circumstances in their life). But if a person has not been able to âget pastâ their problem through their own conscious life choices⌠then⌠the real underlying issue(the ârootâ of their problem) is, in fact⌠âHiddenâ At An Unconscious (Unseen) Level
And to fully resolve a subjectâs problem â you HAVE to deal with the ârootâ of their problem; their issues âhiddenâ at the unconscious (unseen) level. In fact: By far the most important job you and I have as hypnotists is to find out what the unseen (unconscious) issues are at the source of each personâs problem. Itâs only by identifying and addressing the real underlying issues at the unconscious level that we as hypnotists can facilitatereal (and lasting) change for the people who come to us for help. Makes sense, right? Well, it did to me after a few repeats of the client scenario I described to you a moment ago. So what did I do next? In short, I gave up trying to research and solve my clientâs problem before they showed up for their appointment. I thought: âwhy go to all that trouble of doing all that work and second-guessing up-front, when Iâll probably have to change tracks as soon as I meet with the client anyway?â Let me tell you⌠just that change in attitude alone⌠Was A Very Freeing Feeling!
And it will be for you too. But still⌠I didnât just want to turn up to a hypnosis session with a client, âcoldâ and clueless, as it were. I still wanted to know that whatever the client âthrew at meâ I could use hypnosis to deal with it on-the-spot and resolve their problems with precision smoothness. It was that relentless quest that led me to a discovery that is, by far⌠THE BIGGEST Game-Changer For Hypnotists. It completely changes the way you operate as a hypnotist.
It takes all the pressure off you as the hypnotist. It does away with the need to research a clientâs problems before they come and see you. And it gives you absolute conviction that youâre always on the right track with every client in every hypnosis session. What are the immediate implications of that? Well, imagine:
Never getting nervous before a hypnosis session or client appointment. Never worrying about whether or not you know enough hypnosis techniques to deal with a personâs issues. Once you have somebodyâs unconscious symbols â you have their âcode.â And Iâm going to SHOW you how to go in and change their âcode.â Just like a computer programmer who goes in and works on the âhidden codeâ to make visible changes to what appears on a webpage⌠âŚI figured out (after years of continual practice and refinement) how to go in and work on the âhidden symbolsâ (at the unconscious level) to make visible and lasting changes in each clientâs life experience. Dear Careful Investor,
I know I knowâitâs all over the newspapers and the TV news. The âtalking headsâ are telling us that real estateâs hurting bad right now, and this is not the time to invest. I have a simple question: If theyâre so smart, why arenât they rich?
Well I am rich, and in this letter I want to tell you about a type of real estate thatâs quite unique. Thatâs becauseâŚ
âŚThe Worse The Economy Gets, The More Cash This Type of Real Estate Generates.
What kind of real estate am I talking about? Itâs self-storage investing. In addition to being a great investment in a soft economy, thereâs not nearly as much competition for this type of real estate. Thatâs because people donât understand it.
By the end of this letter, youâll understand the opportunity. Better yet, your head will be racing with how you can extract more profits right from your own backyard.
First letâs talk about you.
If we were out somewhere having a beer, Iâm guessing this is what you might say to me:
âDave, am I asking for that much? I mean, all I want at this stage is to supplement my income with real estate. My problem is that Iâm working full time, and donât have much cash in the bank. I know Iâll be fine once I do my first deal, but how can I get that first one done?â
Is that good guess about what youâre thinking? It is?
Okay, letâs look in more depth at your situation, and break it down into four requirements:
Requirement #1: You need to invest in a type of real estate thatâs doing well in a lousy economy, because thatâs what we have right now. Dave LindahlWould you like some straight, honest talk? Here goes: There is no perfect real estate investment. Thatâs an odd thing for a âguruâ to say, because some of them are known to scream at you with how they have the be-all, end-all investment opportunity if you just sign right here on the dotted lineâŚ.
Well thatâs garbage and Iâm not going to insult your intelligence. Real estate can be a great opportunity if you match the right type to the right market.
For instance, if youâre trying to build condos in Florida right now, some nice men in white jackets will come and take you away.
Thatâs where the special opportunity comes in that I referred to above: Self-storage units work very well in down markets. Why? Here are some of the reasons:
When foreclosures are high, many people move to small apartments and store their stuff in self-storage units. When businesses are down-sizing, they lease less space and move their records and furniture into self-storage units until times get better. Itâs way cheaper than paying for better-quality space. Even when times are good, tens of millions of Baby Boomers are downsizing. Theyâre moving into smaller homes and condos as they become empty-nesters or just want less space to maintain at lower cost. Self storage can also work in strong economies, but itâs sometimes harder because people have more money to throw around.
Requirement #2: You want a system that allows you to do your first dealsâor any dealâin the absolute minimum time. In other words, it must be doable not with big blocks of your time, but with bits and pieces of it. Thatâs where my self-storage investing system comes in.
I donât know about you, but I canât stand opportunities that require you to commit major time to get them off the ground. I didnât have much time when I was a starving landscaper, and hereâs the funny thing: It doesnât get any better when you get rich.
Even after I became a multi-millionaire, I was short on time. Thatâs because I wanted to do more deals and take more vacations, so any investing system had to be fast and efficient.
Iâve done just that with my self-storage investing system. You do NOT need to go out and pound the pavement looking for deals. You do NOT drive around with a ladder, pounding up âWe Buy Housesâ signs. You do NOT âdial for dollarsâ by calling ads in the newspaper.
What you instead do is send out my tested and proven letters until some of them result in interested sellers. (I also have other low-time techniques that work.) Then you use my system to sift and sort the incoming responses into live deals and dead dogs.
Requirement #3: The investment cannot require a big bank account to get started. Preferably you want something that requires none of your money for a down payment. The stupidest quote Iâve ever heard is âIt takes money to make money.â No, it takes a proven system to make money. Hereâs the good news: You donât have to invent that system because it already exists.
Part of my Self Storage Riches system involves how to attract all the money you need to finance your deals.
You see, most of the late-night âno money downâ gurus will have you barking up the wrong tree. Only the lousiest deals are âno money downâ. The much better deals do require a down payment.
But thatâs where I have more good news for youâIt doesnât have to be your money thatâs being used for the down payment.
Requirement #4: Finally, the deal canât consume much of your time to run. Thereâs no point getting into a deal if it becomes a time vampire. My guess is you already have enough time vampires in your life.
This is where self-storage deals really shine. Because a self-storage facility doesnât house people, the rules are way simpler than dealing with tenants.
If a renter at your storage facility doesnât pay, you simply âoverlockâ the door with your own padlock. That prevents the renter from getting to his stuff until he pays you.
He still doesnât pay? No need to hear sob stories or deal with an evictionâthe renterâs stuff is auctioned off relatively quickly.
For the vast majority of renters who do pay, just think how little maintenance there is: No toilets, no kitchens, no electrical service other than simple lights, and no kids living there.
You can even keep an eye on your entire property while someone else runs it by using cheapo âweb camsâ that hook to a computer over the Internet!
Whoâs Not Right For Self-Storage Investing for rent You know as well as I do that no investment is perfect for everyone. So whoâs a good and bad fit for self-storage investing?
If your idea of investing is the hands-on sweat equity approach of rehabbing a property in order to increase its value, then self storage is not for you. Thereâs not much to break down and therefore not many things to repair.
You may also not like self storage facilities if you want to create a âcommunityâ at your property. Self storage is kind of an impersonal investment. There are a bunch of locked rooms, and only occasionally will you see a renter drive to any one unit.
On the other hand, many people feel no need to get cozy with their investments. They just want them to generate cash flow and profits.
Self-storage facilities are great that way.
