"childlike sense of wonder" this and that. Personally, I'm cultivating my elderly sense of wonder. Hence my excitement over a perfectly ordinary bird in my backyard or an above-average-sized vegetable.

"[Black female character] deserves better than [white male lead]! That's why I don't write stories focusing on her and pairing her up with options that I consider "good enough" for her and spend all my time pairing up [white male lead] with [tertiary white male character] who has less depth, screentime, and characterization than she does! This is somehow progressive, Actually!"

Acting like there needs to be a single unified fandom consensus on imagery and fanmade lore and symbolism and things left ambiguous in canon and the like with no deviation will kill the patient she needs a ton of different interpretations that all contradict each other to live

Wilder and lighter (for you)
Rated T | 2 chapters | post blip parenthood edited & expanded re-upload
Three weeks ago, he’d been heading towards a job interview. Before he was ever bitten by the spider, Peter had high hopes for himself at twenty-five, he thought he’d have it all figured out; the job, the girl, he’d had May set up in a comfortable life as a thank you for all that she’d given him. Nearly ten years as Spider-Man, he knew those hopes were just a bit of a stretch - he could barely manage juggling one on any good week.
He'd been heading to an interview and he'd packed his suit.
Sitting on the cold metal floor of Nebula’s ship with the awful gift of hindsight, Peter wonders if he hadn’t packed the suit that day, if he ever would have ended up here.

the doppler effect
T | 10 chapters | Morgan’s POV post-NWH
"FRIDAY?"
"Yes Ms. Stark?"
Morgan scans the read out one more time, more certain now than she thinks she's ever been. She wants to know the truth, not the filtered and watered down version.
She wants to hear it from someone who was there.
"Show me everything you know about Spider-Man."
Eight.
