Look I know canonically the Seven literally know nothing about each other past their little groups but PELASE Jason and Annabeth actually hate each others' GUTS. It just makes so much sense.
Jason comes to CHB and he's seen as the leader while Annabeth, who had been there for years and years feels like she lost some of her authority because some little nepo baby came along. ALSO this son on Zeus looks a little too much like Luke Castellan for her to be comfortable.
When Jason looks at Annabeth, all he feels is jealousy. Annabeth who was abandoned just like him by her family but was able to make her own while Jason could not. She's the prodigy he could never be at Camp Jupiter. She has a great sibling relationship with his own sister while he can't say more than like three words to her.
Not to mention they're both perfectionists who love architecture and probably hate on (and secretly admire) each others' designs.
Basically if Jason was a jealous jerk people would love him like I do

“if sokka had been sexist in front of toph she would’ve straight up killed him” if sokka had been sexist in front of toph she would’ve given him a high five and said “right on brother.” she’s way more misogynistic than he is

The writers of the netflix atla need to go back to high school because clearly they didn't learn what "show don't tell" means when my high school teachers shoved that phrase down our throats every day

Luke has straw blond hair that turned half grey after holding up the sky for a long time.
Jason has ashy, silver hair that looks almost pure white, caused by overusing his electricity powers.
Octavian has stringy, bleached blond hair from dying and cutting it himself, making it look damaged and withered.

Every time I start looking into the Percy Jackson, I start to dislike Chiron more and more, especially when we look at the Heroes of Olympus. Yes he had limitations because of his immortality, yes he mainly acts on the gods' orders, yes he has his trauma and regrets from training heroes his whole life. But he piles so much onto the children. He might be there, but the demigods basically fend for themselves. He makes no effort to bridge the gap between the Roman's and the Greeks. He makes no effort to help Annaberh lead camp when Percy disappears. He makes no effort to help Jason understand who he is when he gets to camp. There are so many places in the books where if he just intervened even a little, those kids would be spared. And don't even get me started on the later series like trials of apollo
And I understand that the books do not show the perspectives of everyone. I understand he does things behind the scenes. But can't he do more?

Jason and Octavian were good friends for a while you cannot change my mind.
(And when Jason finally meets Percy, he understands Octavian's anger and jealousy)

Percy Weasley was taught to make his own way. He was told he was smart and was going to go places. He was the younger brother and the older brother, that sweet spot where he had power and people behind him. He had ideas that filled his head of how to better the world and a murky path where all his dreams would come true.
Imagine Percy's anger and betrayal when he finally got the respect he deserved and his parents wrote it off as someone else's achievement. All his life, he was under Bill's or Charlie's shadow. Now, when he got to do something he enjoyed, he was mocked. It would have been fine from Fred or George or Ginny but his Father? Who worked for the Ministry and found loopholes and worked as close to the walls of his jurisdiction as he could? Was that not what Percy was doing?
The stress from getting this job and his other not-so-legal job was getting to him. He felt dizzy and angry and why was Dad telling him that it was Harry who got him this job? That's absurd. All their problems lately have been because of Harry. Dragon in the school? Harry. Ginny got kidnapped by a ghost? Harry. The rat was actually a horrible person hiding from the Law? Harry. Ron gets kidnapped by merpeople? Harry.
And Percy made it very clear. He made it clear he didn't like Harry. He made it clear that Ginny's crush on him was stupid. And he made it clear that backing Harry was the dumbest thing his family could do, but he wasn't surprised. They never made the best decisions anyway. Oh, you want to know what kind of decisions? Turning down better jobs to work for a department that was bollocks and has no reputation, Dad, that was stupid. Picking fights with wealthy contributors to the community like Lucius Malfoy. Spending money on all the wrong things and perhaps having such a huge family was the worst decision of them all.
Ron was silent and Ginny looked like she was going to bite his ear again. Fred and George were looking at him like their next prank was going to be as painful as they could make it. Mother was red in the face and pointing her soup spoon in his face but Percy didn't care. He voiced his opinions finally. He got his words in and he was proud he did so.
"Percy." His Dad stood up but kept his head down. "Get out."
Percy frowned. "What?"
"Get OUT PERCY! You are no son of mine!"
After the initial shock, Percy grit his teeth. "Fine. You don't want me? I don't want you either."
He made sure to slam the door as hard as he could behind him to make some of the paintings fall off the walls.

I find it so interesting seeing double standards due to race like do you think you can be racist towards me just because you're a person of color? Oh you think what you said isn't racist it's just what everyone's thinking?
(And it's weird bc I can also just hit back by leaning into all the stereotypes but I know that's not right and it would turn into a race war and you're not ready for that)
Like it's one thing to joke about racist stereotypes with your friends but not understanding that what you're saying is racist makes me feel like you actually think that only Black people can experience racism
And I could go into depth about how racism towards South Asians isn't seen as racism and why and how we're still recovering from what the British did to us but y'all aren't ready for that conversation

Here's a snippet of one of the fics I'm writing when I find the time:
-------------start--------------
"Red hair, freckles, and hand me down robes-- you must be a weasley," Malfoy scoffed.
Ron glared at this kid in front of him. "Yeah so what? Do you want me to bring up your family's blunders?"
Malfoy's nose turned pink but he didn't uncross his arms.
"What should I start with?" Ron dramaticized tapping his chin in thought, "the new raids being pushed on your mansion or the Black scandal or your sister--"
"SHUT it!" Malfoy screeched. He took a deep breath and turned to Harry. "I could help stop you from making friends with the wrong sort. Like this one who can't keep his mouth shut."
Anger coursed through rons veins. Charlie and George warned him that there would be kids who made fun of him but Ron didn't realize how much it would hurt.
He opened his mouth but Harry beat him to it.
"I think I can tell the wrong sort for myself malfoy."
Mskfoy looked unimpressed. "You loss," hr said, "being stuck with this...this blood traitor."
Now Percy had coached Ron through hearing this word but nothing could prepare him for the way malfoy said it. Like Ron was so beneath him he didn't even notice him. Maybe Percy was a bad teacher.
Suddenly, scabbers jumped up and bit Goyle. Rons face split into a grin. He knew there was a reason scabbers was family.
--------------end----------
Exploring Ron's emotions and thoughts with how he interacts with his family, friends, and foes

It’s summer. The heat of the day has since passed, the evening dragging in a cool drizzle. The bedroom windows are cast wide open, coaxing in breeze after breeze. The white curtains fly against the wind, but they cannot match the swaying branches of the great trees outside whose heavenly scent wafts throughout the house. The sound of typing mixes with the aroma of buttery pastries baking in the oven. It’s nice.

Real Gryffindors
It’s come to my attention that so many posts about Gryffindors are, well, not encompassing all Gryffindors. Remember that a Gryffindor values bravery, that they are courageous when they need to be.
And courage is not the absence of fear, but the fact that they still do it knowing fully well this could hurt them, but more people would benefit if they did so.
So, as a Gryffindor, I would like to show you all what it really feels like. I don’t speak for all those in my House, but I hope I am not the only one who feels that I’m not a real Gryffindor sometimes because of what we think it is.
When I caught that mouse that, my hands shook as I grabbed the mouse trap and put it outside.
I was the leader in the group, but only because nobody else wanted to be even though I have  s o c i a l  a n x i e t y
I was scared to write that novel because I didn't know if I would represent the minorities incorrectly, but I did anyway, because who else would?
I pretended not to watch but be absorbed in my book when a fight broke out between my brother and dad. What was the point of breaking it up when neither of them would understand each other’s viewpoints?
My face burned as I strode up to the stage and accepted my diploma. I hated crowds, especially when their attention was on me.
So, no, not all Gryffindors are loud and reckless. We don’t learn things like Ravenclaws, for knowledge’s sake. We aren’t willing to be as loyal as a Hufflepuff. We might come off as cold, but we barely see past our noses sometimes, unlike Slytherins.
We learn for the recognition, sometimes we trust too much, and can barely see through our ignorance and arrogance. But the best of us try to become better people, and that is what I love about Gryffindor. That we speak our mind when we need to, and we try and try and try again.
