Don’t Copy Yourself

Why in the world would anyone upload the same selfie more than once? If they pushed the post button multiple times and it got published more than once, ok whatever, so be it. If it’s an outfit you already posted, but with a different pose, or from wearing it on a different day, fine. But posting an exact copy of a selfie you already posted on a different day? It’s not as big a deal if it’s a one time occurrence or a reblog, but to have done it multiple times? What the F? Why do I see so many tumblr users doing this?

Seeing repeated selfies makes me wonder a few things. 1)How many selfies do they have? 2)How many of those selfies do they think are worth posting? 3)Are they desperate for that selfie to get lots of notes that they need to post it again, opposed to a reblog? 4)How much of a life must they have if they’re posting the same selfies over and over? 5)How real can this user be if they keep posting multiple copies of the same selfies?

It doesn’t matter if it’s an extremely gorgeous photo or not. It makes more sense to post one the tumblr world hasn’t seen yet, especially if the user doesn’t post many selfies. Seeing the same selfie multiple times deters me away from following or talking to that user. I don’t need to scroll through a handful of selfies only to come across one or more I’ve already seen. I want to say I’m not the only one who feels this way, but based on how much I’ve seen this happen, I’m tempted to question that thought.
