Danger Lights (1930) Dir.: George B. Seitz – Interesting curio from the early talkie days featuring Louis Wolheim, Robert Armstrong and a very young Jean Arthur before she was a big star. Filmed mostly on location in Montana in an early widescreen process, though all widescreen prints of the film are now lost to time. Tough guys running a railroad and an ill-timed romantic triangle. That’s pretty much the plot, but it is worth seeing for those with a deep sense of history. Watched this afternoon (2017-06-21).

Justice League Dark (2017) Dir.: Jay Oliva – I love that Matt Ryan gets to voice Constantine. I hope that he will be picked up for the eventual live-action film as well. Watched today (2017-06-21).

Succubus aka Necronomicon - Geträumte Sünden (1969) Dir.: Jesús Franco. Yet another one of those bonkers Franco productions that seems to stick with you even after you have written it off as awkwardly staged crap. Franco does that to me a lot. Last watched in 2012.

I saw Burt Lancaster’s The Kentuckian (1955), his only solo directing effort, first as a kid on the Lucky 13 Afternoon Movie matinee show on our local ABC affiliate. I was a big Burt Lancaster fan as a kid, but this one didn’t really stick with me too much. Watched it again today for the first time in about 40 years. Still doesn’t do much for me.

He Ran All the Way (1951) Dir.: John Berry, written by Dalton Trumbo and Hugo Butler (fronted by Guy Endore) – Tense, tough film noir with John Garfield somewhat foreshadowing his untimely early death in his final film role. Recorded off Sunday’s Noir Alley on TCM; watched today (2017-06-20).

The Hangman (1959) Dir.: Michael Curtiz – Decent western with a most interesting cast full of TV faves. Robert Taylor is the gruff lead character, Tina Louise is smokin’ hot in the film, Fess Parker is a supporting sheriff character, Lorne Greene has an even smaller supporting marshal role, and the great Jack Lord has blonde hair!!! Watched today (2017-06-20).

Slave Girls from Beyond Infinity (1987) Dir.: Ken Dixon. Watch it because it is a remake of The Most Dangerous Game, stay for Brinke Stevens and Elizabeth Kaitan. Saw it several times on Joe Bob Briggs’ Drive-In Theater. Glorious cheese.

Jason Lives: Friday the 13th Part VI (1986) Dir.: Tom McLoughlin. Saw this in a theatre back in ‘86 and it still remains my favorite Jason film. (It’s the intentionally funny one...) Last watched in January 2017.
