Full breakdown of what's going on below.

A few things to keep in mind before I breakdown each hit.

1.) All of these plays are illegal and in many other cases resulted in lengthy suspensions.

2.) They are considered dangerous plays and one of these hits resulted in a serious head injury to arguably the Leafs most important player the goalie who lead the league in save percentage. He was so concussed he was throwing up and had to be taken to hospital.

3.) The florida panthers received 0 penalties on any of the plays you saw shown despite the fact that you can see the ref in many of the shots looking right at it.

4.) The panthers assistant general manager is the son of colin campbell the vice president and director of hockey operations for the NHL. A man who has been found in court to have sent emails trying to influence reffing and player suspension decisions in the past because of personal grudges

5.) Remember this isn't just about sports grudges and rivalries, these are human beings who can and are being seriously injured, these plays can and have resulted in injuries that ended careers and lead to lifelong suffering both physical and financial especially in the case of head injuries.

Let's break down each play

Hit 1: This is the play that concussed Anthony Stolarz and took him out of the series. This is multiple penalties first and foremost it is a head hit and it should be noted that the player doing it, Sam Bennet has a long history of doing this, he has concussed 3 players with identical hits to the head in just the last 2 playoffs. If you watch in slow motion he uses his hand and the buttend of his stick to punch into the goalies neck, he lets his momentum carry him to disguise the punch. This based on history of what similar hits have garnered would be a minimum of a five game suspension because the head was the principle point of contact hes a repeat offender and there was a serious injury. The play is also goaltender interference. once again there was no penalty at all and no suspension or fine, player safety run by George Parros (who played for the Leafs rival team) did not even review the play. Sam Bennet has done this enough times that there should be a serious conversation about kicking him out of the league altogether.

Hit 2: Once again a panther is not only targeting the head of a Leafs player but he is leaping into the hit both of which are illegal. This is at minimum a 5 minute major penalty or a fine, there was no penalty called at all

Hit 3: This isn't actually a hit, what this is called is an attempted knee on knee. This is where a player tries to hit someone in the knee with their knee in a stronger position because the contact makes it look accidental sometimes and is very likely to severely injure the other player. One player was out for 8 weeks with a knee injury after a similar play. Leafs player Marner only did not have his knee destroyed by Matthew Tkachuk because he saw it coming and was quick enough to avoid it. Once again this is an attempt to injure and yet received no punishment whatsoever. It's also worth mentioning that this is a game the panthers are losing and know they can't win anymore so they tried to injure one of the Leafs best players to improve their chances of winning the next game.

Hit 4: This is two penalties, it is hitting from behind and it is boarding, this is the same thing that got Leafs player Max Domi a $5000 fine as well as a boarding penalty. There was no penalty on this play though and no fine.

Hit 5: Again hit from behind and boarding, two penalties both and on the same player as the previous hit, they are trying to hurt Tanev specifically because he is the Leafs best defender. once again no penalty called no fine.

Hit 6: This is actually 3 penalties, it is a crosscheck... you are not allowed to use your stick as a weapon, it is interference because Marner does not have the puck and it is also boarding because he is being propelled into the boards with force in a vulnerable position. 3 penalties all in front of the referee 2 of which are suspendable...no penalty, no fine no review.

Hit 7: Once again a headshot where the panther player leaps into the hit. Worth noting Tavares has a concussion history and has previously been taking out of the playoffs by a very traumatic headhit that many felt might end his career. No penalty once again. this is at minumum a 5 minute major penalty but should be a game misconduct and a suspension

Hit 8: The panthers already concussed one Leafs goalie but uh oh the backup is pretty good too better take a flying elbow to his head as well. By the way this player is Aaron Ekblad who has been suspended for performance enhancing substances and who just returned from a suspension for...you guessed it injuring a player by elbowing them really hard in the face in their previous series against tampa bay. Repeat offender... clear intent to injure this is a slam dunk 5-10 game suspension. This is the second time the head of a leafs goalie was targeted and should also result in the panthers organization and their coach being fined. There was no penalty on the play and no review from player safety at all.

Hit 9: Kulikov head hunting Marner the Leafs smallest but most skilled forward. That's three times in 3 games someone on the panthers tried to injure him specifically. No call on the play.

Now imagine this is just a small sample and not an exhaustive list of many more of these types of dirty illegal plays...now imagine the panthers team doing all this shit is given 4 powerplays in a row to start game 4. And you see why even people who hate the Leafs more than they like their own team are now rooting for them to beat the panthers and why the NHL is taking a lot of flack for biased officiating and refusing to protect their players from dirty hits.

Oh and also the vice chairman of the florida panthers organization was on twitter taunting leafs fans telling them they would be the 51st state and when a Leafs fan made a comment about the genocide of palestinians he responded by equating all palestinians with terrorists and calling for them all to be killed. The tweet circulated outside of hockey circles and he is now suspended from involvment in the NHL... Just so you have an idea of how this team is built from the top down and a reminder that the scumbaggery of this franchise goes beyond just a hockey game.
