Randomly remembered how as a kid my mom would always fast forward through the beginning of 'Finding Nemo' because she thought Coral's death was too violent, so for years I never knew why Nemo was raised by a single father and assumed Nemo's parents had gotten fish divorced and Marlin had won custody of Nemo. My dad's biological parents divorced when my dad was young, so I always knew what divorce was and I knew my Grandma had gotten primary custody of my dad, so I just assumed that's what happened with Nemo. It wasn't until years later when I watched Finding Nemo with my grandparents without my mom and they didn't know to fast forward through the beginning that I finally knew what happened to Coral and I was *devastated*.

I think it's interesting when people watch an anime aimed at 14 year olds and are like "why is all anime about children?!?! Why are anime set in school so much?!?!?" Like buddy. Have you tried watching anime not meant for children? Have you tried watching the anime not set in schools?

i had a dream i worked in an underwater restaurant and people kept ordering ice in their drinks and then getting mad at me when it would float away. and i’d tell them beforehand that the ice would float away & they’d be like lol no that’s not how it works just give me the ice. sex is a social action, doing it means you are taking the needs, desires, and wellbeing of the person you're fucking into account. it takes a certain amount of mental energy and a certain mood to do that? pulling up xhamster and cranking it is like, using similar body parts, but its a completely different task.

if you're with a guy and you're expecting sex with him to be basically him masturbating with your body, well... that's something that needs to be specified and negotiated ahead of time, not the default assumption for sex.
