DQB2 Builder Trivia

The builder you play as in DQB2 is a descendant of the builder you play as in DQB1.

This is corroborated in-game. It's stated in the prologue that 2's builder was captured in Cantlin.

*: I mutht admit, I feel a few pangth of thympathy for you. It'th not very nithe to know that your end ith nigh! Kreeeeee hee hee!

Whitebones: Keh heh heh! Don't tell me you've forgotten who I am! It's me - Captain Whitebones! You know, the captain of the slave ship that picked you up in Cantlin!

And some NPC dialogue also confirms that Cantlin is the builder's hometown.

Malroth: Builder, you're from Cantlin, aren't you?

Malroth: Must be nice to have a hometown. Will you take me there one day? I'd like to see where it is you're from.

Esther: I hear you hail from Cantlin, my lamb! Esther: I'm sure you know the town was once destroyed, and later rebuilt by the great Builder of yore. But they say the influence of this great act is still felt there to this day. Esther: I often find myself wondering what type of person this great figure was... What incredible buildings they must have created...

Molly: When I still had youth on my side, I used to travel far and wide from my sleepy hometown of Burrowell. I've even been to your old stomping ground - Cantlin! Molly: Which reminds me... That Bonanzo chap, the self-proclaimed ruler of this island, bears a striking resemblance to the acclaimed mayor of Cantlin...

Cantlin is also very likely to be the hometown of DQB1's builder too, as it is where the game starts and where Rubiss finds the builder. (And since travelling was rendered almost impossible in Alefgard it probably means the builder had lived there their whole life)

Long story short, both builders are stated to have the same hometown, Cantlin.

クヌート・ハムスン（Knut Hamsun, 1859年8月4日 - 1952年2月19日）は、ノルウェーの小説家。1920年に作品『土の恵み』でノーベル文学賞を受賞した。世界的な名声を得ていたがナチスを支持し続けたため戦後、名誉は失墜した。

1933年、ドイツでナチスが政権を握ると支持し息子はナチス親衛隊に入隊した。1940年、ナチスがノルウェーに侵攻すると支持し国民に武器を捨て抵抗を��めるよう呼びかけた。

1943年5月、ベルリンを旅行しゲッベルスを訪ね深い敬意を表し6月にはヒトラーに謁見した。しかし、ノルウェーの占領責任者解任を進言したためただちに会見を打ち切られた。

第2次大戦後の1945年、ナチス・ドイツへの忠誠とノルウェーのファシズム政権への協力の廉で裁判にかけられた。この裁判は3年間続き、1948年、高齢に鑑みて罰金刑を持って釈放された。その間、自宅に監禁された後、精神病院に入れられ翌年退院。しかし、1947年、財産の大半を没収され農場も屋敷も荒れ果てた。晩年は脳卒中で耳が聞こえなくなりほとんど盲目になった。1952年2月19日92歳でグリムスタで死去、ノルホルムの自宅の庭に埋葬された。

Jakob Bro の曲でHamsunという曲があったので検索したウィキペディア。関係ないと思うけど、知らない作家。1996年に映画になってる。マックス・フォン・シドー主演。

と思ったら、やはりこの作家に捧��た曲なのね。
