In a fantasy au, Madison would be your typical vampire, a homeless drifter who lurks near the roads at night in search of travelers to prey on. She'll "accidentally" stumble out in the middle of the road and pose as a defenseless, hungry maiden needing assistance. The thing is, she is hungry...just not for your offered crusty bread.

•☽────✧˖°˖☆˖°˖✧────☾•
the cool night wind was blowing against your cheeks, causing you to shiver slightly, as you pushed your hands even further inside the pockets of your coat. your steps felt heavier than usual, given the small layer of snow that covered the forest ground.
you mentally cursed your brother for refusing to leave from that goddamned party, making a fuss over it that ended in you leaving on your own before the two of you made fools of yourselves in front of the other people. your own hometown wasn't far, but there were only two ways to reach it: the barely lit highway, where walking would equal signing a death contract, or through the forest that seperated the two towns.
you weren't scared in particular, knowing the paths like the back of your hand from the countless of hours you'd spent in the woods during your childhood, playing catch or hide and seek with your brother, or climbing the trees to heights that would have sent your parents into a coma if they'd known. yet, despite the familiarity of your surroundings and the full moon that illuminated them more than any other night would have, there was just something about wandering alone through a forest at night that felt unsettling.
but you'd be home soon, only a few more steps until–
you stopped, squinting your eyes slightly, not quite sure where the dark spots in front of your feet were coming from. your gaze scanned the ground until it fell on a trace of more marks. you took out your phone and opened the flashlight, only able to catch a glimpse of their deep red colour before the light died down again.
your phone running out of battery seemed like a smaller problem, compared to the realization that hit you when your mind started racing until it had made sense of the red stains. they were drops. blood.
you tried to keep your breath steady, although your heart doubled its pace, at least. it was no secret that wolves roamed the forest, and from what you'd heard all your life, they were ruthless creatures – always poised to strike, always ready to take down their prey. but what if, this time, their victim hadn’t been an animal but a person? what if someone was lying just a few feet away, possibly still breathing, possibly in need?
you shouldn’t. not when you were alone. not when you had no way to call for help, too far from either town divided by the forest for potential cries to reach anyone. but against your better judgement, you followed the trail of blood, holding your breath and tightening your grip around your dead phone.
the further you walked, the bigger the stains became. your eyes were fixated on the floor, eagerly following the path, until a faint sound yanked your head up. it had sounded almost like... a whimper? your feet picked up the pace, almost running, hearing the same sound becoming clearer, closer, until you finally found the source of it.
your eyes widened again, an uncomfortable shiver running down your spine. you felt your stomach sink, and your insides felt like they'd turned upside down.
this couldn't be possible. you could have almost sworn your mind had played a trick on you – that there was no way that a wolf was not the perpetrator, but the victim of an attack – had it not been for another whimper that came from the wounded animal in front of you.
it sounded almost desperate, like a futile cry for help, and for some reason, it tugged at your heart. you hadn't grown up to feel sympathy for wolves, but you weren't heartless either. yet, you hesitated. your parents had warned you time and again about wolves.
almost out of reflex, you took a step back, flinching at the sound of wood cracking underneath your boot. fuck. you held your breath as the animal in front of you lifted its head just slightly, turned it in your direction, and looked you right in the eye. another cold shiver ran down your spine and you stood rooted in place although all your instincts told you to run away. you'd never be able to outrun a wolf, but you had a chance with a wounded one, no?
you mentally prepared yourself for the worst, yet, you didn't move. had you not been shaken with fear, it might have been almost comical how paradoxically beatiful the wolf's amber eyes looked under the moonlight. they were anything but threatening; instead, they held a sense of vulnerability, despair – and something else you couldn’t quite identify. fear, maybe.
without another thought, you took a few steps toward the animal. at first, it seemed to try to get up and move away, but it was too weak to manage. standing directly in front of it, you could finally see the source of the blood: a large wound on its side, still bleeding slightly.
after a brief hesitation, you slipped off your scarf and pressed it against the wound, gently at first, then with more pressure. you knew it was irrational, dangerous – maybe even downright stupid. but something about the creature before you broke your heart, and you realized you had no other way to help. running back to either town wasn’t an option; just picturing the townspeople’s faces if you asked them to help a wounded wolf was enough to tell you it was useless.
taki's pov: the sound of wood cracking caused taki to open his eyes. had he already found him? or had nicholas and euijoo heard his pathetic attempts to call for them? no – the strong scent of his blood would give him away before any howls would even leave his throat. when he caught sight of you, the moonlight illuminating your soft features beatifully, reflecting almost magically in your slightly widened eyes, the entire world seemed to shift. in an instant, his breath caught, his heart quickened, and a warmth spread through him despite the icy cold of the blood-stained snow underneath him. it felt like destiny had taken his hand, leading him to a place he'd always been meant to find. of course, he thought. the moon was full tonight. taki should have felt terrified. he knew the perception humans had on wolves. giri had always taught him to be careful – to stay away. he'd expected you to run away, not to approach him. certainly not to help him. he had tried to run away, but his body didn't allow him to even stand up yet. he knew he'd heal soon, but the cut was still too deep. when he looked at you, he saw the fear. you were scared, yet you took off your scarf, even with almost no hesitation at all. your hands were shaking despite the warm coat you were wearing, as you softly pressed the scarf to his wound. he hated that his mere existence scared you, but could he blame you? you'd probably grown up around here – that was the only explanation as to why you were here at this hour, alone, on top of that. growing up in the towns around the forest meant growing up to fear, to hate, wolves. he felt the tremble in your hands ease as he stayed still. he even stopped calling for the others, willing to do anything not to scare you more. but the silence only lasted for what felt like the blink of an eye. he sensed the smell even before the soft rustling of the nearby bushes made you flinch. he had come back – probably to finish what he'd started.
the rustling of the bushes drew your attention away from the wounded animal. a chill prickled down your spine as you remembered – something had caused that deep cut in the first place. and if that something could injure a creature this powerful, what might it do to a human?
you scanned your surroundings. at first, you thought his pack might have found him, but the shadow that the moonlight casted over the snow looked suspiciously human.
the shadow shifted until the man stepped into view. the animal beside you stirred, rising quickly despite its bleeding wound. you couldn’t quite read its expression, but the abrupt movement held a hint of alarm – as if the man himself were responsible for the injury. but that couldn't be. no human could inflict such a deep wound with bare hands, and he carried no visible weapon.
or had you missed something?
your gaze scanned over him once more, and in an instant, your blood ran cold.
a trickle of red dripped from the corner of his mouth, sliding down his chin.
it felt as though the air had been knocked from your lungs as you watched him lick his lips. a sharp fang glinted back at you.
what in the world?
you froze, caught between shock and disbelief. vampires? you had never believed in neither them, nor the tails that had been passed down through generations in your town. this had to be a dream.
there was no time to decide whether to stay shielded behind the wolf, who had somehow pushed itself in front of you, almost protectively – or to bolt.
the man took a slow, deliberate step forward, his eyes gleaming in the moonlight with an unsettling intensity. the wolf beside you let out a low growl, a sound that seemed torn between fear and defiance. you could almost feel its tension, muscles coiled and ready, yet it stayed rooted to your side as though bound to protect you, even in its weakened state.
you stood there, frozen, your mind reeling with shock and fear, but you knew the wolf wouldn't be able to fight alone. and for some reason, you refused to run off while you still could.
you didn't know what to do, just that you had to do something. your mind was racing, yet there was no time to think.
with a snarl, the wolf lunged at the vampire, managing to swipe its claws across the man's cheek. he hissed, stumbling back, crimson trickling from the fresh gash. in that split second, you seized the chance, grabbing hold of the animal's fur and half-dragging, half-guiding it backward.
the cave, you thought. it had taken you almost a year of playing hide and seek with your brother to find it, but from then on, you'd always hidden there and he'd never found you. you knew how to find it by heart.
“this way,” you whispered, although you knew the animal wouldn't understand you. you broke into a mixture of stumbling, running, and darting through the underbrush. every few steps, the wolf glanced back, teeth bared, ready to fend off your pursuer, but each time you pulled it along, urging to keep moving.
“just a bit further, ” you murmured, more to yourself than to the wolf. its breathing was labored, but it pressed on, muscles taut as it maneuvered alongside you. behind, the vampire’s movements grew louder, branches snapping and snow crunching underfoot.
you finally reach the spot, the small entrance partially hidden by bare trees. you pushed the animal forward, urging it through the entrance before ducking in after, crouching low and pulling a few branches over the entrance as quietly as you could manage.
you sat there in silence, the only sounds your ragged breathing. you could feel the animal trembling against your own shaking body, its breaths shallow and quick. without thinking, you reached out, gently placing a hand on its side and feeling the damp warmth of its blood through its fur.
your scarf must have fallen off somewhere and you were just praying it didn't give away your location anyhow. with that thought, the reality of your escape hit you like a wave – you had only barely gotten away.
a few deep breaths later, exhaustion began to settle in. you fought to stay awake, determined not to give in – you couldn’t afford to fall asleep out here in the woods during winter, not with a wolf at your side and a creature, once only a tale, lurking somewhere nearby.
but as the cold seeped beneath your coat, despite the cave offering shelter from the stronger winds outside, your eyes fluttered shut repeatedly, until exhaustion finally took over and sleep gently pulled you in.
a faint howl stirred you from sleep. you slowly opened your eyes, blinking away the haze, and pulled your legs closer to your chest, trying to warm your body that felt frozen to the core.
flashbacks from the night before crashed over you as another howl rang out – closer and louder than the first. this time, it came from right beside you, where the wolf you’d fled with only hours ago lay in the same spot. its wound had dried, looking far less severe than before.
another distant howl called out, answered quickly by the one next to you. they were calling each other. you needed to leave. this wolf had been too weak to attack, but who knew what a whole pack might do?
just as you began to move, the branches you’d used to cover the entrance shifted, and three other wolves stepped into view – each larger than the one beside you.
fuck.
the closer they came, the more you tried to edge away, but they halted when they reached the injured one, nudging it to its feet. with a last, lingering glance in your direction, the four of them turned and disappeared, leaving you alone, trembling – not only from the cold but from the shock and confusion of everything that had happened in the past hours.
┈┈・୨ ✦ ୧・┈┈
even days later, you could still not comprehend any of that night's happenings. you were dying to talk to someone, but who would believe you? you’d run off with a wolf who’d saved you from a vampire? it sounded like the textbook definition of insanity.
realizing you’d have to handle this on your own, you decided the best course was to forget about it entirely. so, you turned to the one distraction sure to keep your mind off things – working extra hours at your barista job, which you hated enough to guarantee you’d be thinking about anything other than that bizarre encounter.
you had lost count of how many times you'd greeted the familiar customers with a kind "the usual?" or how many times you'd engaged in the same small-talk, when customers finally stopped coming in for a while. you quickly left your spot behind the counter to tidy and wipe the tables, when the ring on top of the door signaled another customer.
"i'll be there in a second," you said without looking up from the table you were just cleaning. you quickly rushed back to the counter, placed the cups you had collected to the side and looked up with the usual, practiced smile.
"hi, sorry, i'm–" you stopped, eyeing the four unfamiliar guys in front of you for a second, before snapping back to reality, "i'm all yours now."
you took their orders, doing your best to cover up your earlier slip. it wasn’t common for out-of-towners to show up here, and you’d never seen any of these guys around before.
your breath caught when you looked at the last one. his amber eyes seemed so familiar, but you couldn’t quite place where you’d seen them. you furrowed your brows, mind racing until it landed on the pair of eyes that had met yours in the forest just days ago. you quickly shook your head, willing away the memory of the wolf. you could’ve sworn their eyes had the exact same spark, but the ones in front of you clearly belonged to a human.
yet, you couldn't tear your eyes away from his. you didn't know how much time had passed when the gentle clearing of his throat snapped you out of your thoughts.
"i– sorry, what was that?" you awkwardly asked for his order again, gesturing them to wait at a nearby table until their drinks were ready.
as they left the counter, you exhaled sharply, forcing yourself not to glance back at the four of them. you really needed to forget this whole thing before your mind started playing even more tricks on you.
yet, you couldn't help but glance at the amber-eyed boy while you prepared their drinks – and each time you turned to look at him, you found his eyes already on you before he quickly looked the other way.
you placed their mugs on the tray once they were ready and took a deep breath before heading to their table. you didn’t even know why your hands were shaking just a little, but you cursed yourself for struggling to balance the tray – even after all the time you’d spent working here.
taki's pov: when you reached their table and set their drinks down, taki really tried to not look at you another time, but he just couldn't help it. your eyes caught his yet another time and, god, it was so hard to look away. time seemed to slow down, the world around him seemed to come to a halt – until he felt euijoo's foot gently kicking against his knee, causing him to flinch and tear his eyes away from yours.
he forced himself to keep his eyes on his mug when you walked away after almost whispering a silent 'enjoy'.
when you were out of earshot, euijoo shot taki a stern look. "stop being weird, taki. i know she’s the–"
"not now, euijoo," giri interrupted, his tone sharp and leaving no room for argument. he glanced around to make sure no one had overheard even a fragment of their conversation.
the table fell silent except for the soft clinking of mugs being lifted and set down, and taki kept his eyes fixed on the tabletop. he knew he couldn’t take any risks, especially after you’d looked at him like you almost recognized him – but there was no real way you’d understand.
once they left the café, following giri through the forest to a quiet hill they always went to when they needed to talk in peace, taki felt three pairs of eyes on him. just as he was about to speak, giri cut him off. "you can’t go back there, taki, do you understand?"
when taki stayed silent, eyes on the ground, nicholas spoke up.
"look, i know she helped you and all, but it’s too risky – for us and for her. youll forget about it, and she will too, eventually."
taki bit his lip, knowing nicholas was wrong but unwilling to argue.
"he won’t forget," giri corrected. euijoo and nicholas shot him puzzled looks. "it was a full moon when they met," he added.
he didn’t need to explain for them to understand, didn’t need to say the words we fall in love with the first person we see on a full moon night, bound to love them for the rest of our lives.
giri turned to taki again, his voice hardening. "can i trust you that you won’t go back? you won’t search for her, and you won’t forget what’s at stake if you do." giri's eyes narrowed, a rare flicker of fear surfacing. "if you care for her, you’ll stay away – for her sake as much as ours."
taki gulped down the lump that had formed in his throat at giri's words, but he nodded his head, unable to protest.
yet despite everything, taki found himself drawn back to the café. no amount of warnings from giri or silent judgment from nicholas could seem to break the pull he felt. it had only been days since he’d seen you in the forest, days that felt like eternities. each time he left the woods, he told himself it would be the last. yet he would find himself standing outside, hesitant and hopeful.
it became a habit. once, twice, then almost daily, he’d come to the café, knowing he risked too much and cared too little. at first, he stood in distance, waiting to catch just a glimpse of you when you closed the store at night. then, he found excuses to be away during the day, finally working up the courage to not just watch from afar. he tried to be discreet, ordering something small and sipping slowly to avoid suspicion, but it quickly became clear that something about his presence unsettled you too. still, he couldn’t resist.
your face would light up each time you caught him glancing your way, and his cautious heart felt its walls crumble each time you smiled. each day, he grew a little bolder, staying a little longer, exchanging a few more words, as if to anchor himself to the warmth of your world.
"back again?" you asked one day, your eyes warm but playful as you set down a cup of tea.
taki managed a half-smile, shrugging in what he hoped was a casual manner. "guess the coffee's better here than anywhere else," he joked.
"or maybe you just like the company," you teased, daring him with a soft smile. your eyes sparkled with something curious, something that made his heart race, and he couldn’t help but let out a soft laugh.
“maybe,” he said, meeting your gaze head-on for once, feeling his pulse quicken at the sight of your grin.
soon, your moments grew longer, richer, and neither of you made any real effort to hide how much you enjoyed each other’s company. you’d sit across from him on your breaks, filling the quiet with stories about your hometown and the strange little quirks of the café. he found himself smiling more, laughing at your jokes, losing track of time as you two talked about everything and nothing at all.
"it’s strange," you admitted one day, swirling your coffee and glancing at him over the rim of your cup. "it feels like i’ve known you forever.”
taki felt his heart skip, and he glanced down at his own mug, gripping it tightly. "i know what you mean," he murmured, unable to look at you without risking giving away everything he felt.
he felt like he was walking on thin ice, balancing between the safety of his world and the irresistible warmth of yours. the weight of giri’s warning hung heavy on his shoulders, yet the longer he spent with you, the more he felt pulled towards you.
as the days passed, you found yourself looking forward to taki’s visits more than you cared to admit. something about him – his quietness, the mystery in his eyes, the way he seemed a little more at ease with each visit – felt like an invitation you couldn’t resist accepting.
you'd steal glances at him whenever you thought he wasn’t looking, catching the subtle softness in his expression as he watched you move around the café. the comfort in his gaze had a way of making you feel like the only person in the room, as if his whole world condensed in the moments you shared over coffee and quiet conversation.
sometimes, you’d find yourself sharing things you'd never shared with anyone else – except for what had happened that one night, but that had by now moved to the back of your mind. taki listened as if each word you spoke were precious, his eyes brightening when you laughed, his face softening when you spoke of something that saddened you. he gave you the gift of being truly seen, of feeling understood in a way that felt as natural as breathing.
but soon, something else crept in – a feeling you couldn’t quite name. at first, it was subtle, barely more than an odd sense of being watched whenever you’d lock up the café at night or turn a corner in town. you’d catch a glimpse of a shadow moving out of the corner of your eye, only to turn and find nothing. your stomach would twist, a chill prickling your skin, but you’d shrug it off as your nerves.
then, one night as you closed up, you caught sight of a figure across the street, half-hidden in the shadows. they seemed to be watching, their stillness almost unnatural. your heart thundered in your chest, your instincts screaming to turn away, but your feet stayed rooted to the spot, your gaze locked onto the figure’s unmoving form. you waited, holding your breath, until the streetlight flickered and the figure vanished into the darkness.
the next day, you finally shared your unease with taki, hoping he might reassure you. but instead, a shadow crossed his face, his jaw tightening as he listened. he said little, just that he’d “keep an eye out,” though you noticed the tension that now lingered in his shoulders, the way his gaze darted over his shoulder whenever he left.
it didn’t take long for you to put the pieces together – the unease you felt, the strangers who seemed to lurk in the periphery of your vision, and taki’s quiet, watchful presence. you didn’t know what he was hiding, but you sensed the fear he tried to conceal, the way his gaze softened with regret whenever he looked at you.
"let me walk you home," he offered the next night after you closed the café. normally, you would have declined, but you had to admit there was a certain comfort in not being alone.
as soon as you stepped outside, that familiar unease crept in, your fingers trembling slightly as you locked the door and slipped the keys into your bag.
taki's hand, slightly larger than yours, reached over, giving yours a gentle squeeze – a wordless reassurance – before letting go.
a cold breeze cut through you, and you instinctively turned toward taki, who had gone still, his jaw clenched, his eyes flashing with an intensity you hadn’t seen before.
before you could speak, your breath caught as you noticed the familiar, imposing silhouette just a few feet away.
taki didn’t need to look back to know. the scent alone was enough. he turned, stepping protectively in front of you, his entire posture tense.
your knees wobbled as the figure approached, his movements eerily swift. then you saw them – red eyes. fangs. you felt like you’d been flung back in time, to that night in the woods, the wolf between you and the vampire.
"taki," you whispered, unsure of what to say. but taki didn’t break his gaze from the figure in front of him.
"close your eyes," he commanded, his voice strained, urgent. he glanced back at you for a split second, his amber eyes meeting yours. "trust me. just…close your eyes for a moment," he urged, trying to sound calm despite the tension.
you hesitated, but complied, closing your eyes. when you heard a sharp howl echo through the night, you opened them – and found taki gone.
it felt like a sick twist of fate, like déjà vu, as the same wolf from the woods now stood before you. the realization hit you with full force when it turned and you saw those same amber eyes that had just met yours moments before.
could it be that…
you didn’t have time to finish the thought, when three more wolves burst from the shadows. you were sure you recognized these wolves from that other night in the woods. your mind started racing. if there was a chance that the wolf in front of you was really taki, then... these three would be the guys you'd first seen him at the café with?
your heart raced as you watched them work together, swift and lethal. flashes of fur, the gleam of teeth, and the muted growls filled the air as they closed in, forcing the vampire back until it disappeared into the shadows.
you stood there, frozen, heart pounding, trying to process what you had just seen. your gaze dropped to the ground, unfocused, as your mind raced to piece everything together.
you flinched when you felt a sudden, yet soft touch on your arm.
you hadn’t even noticed that that the wolves were gone. that taki stood close beside you again, a few scratches across his face. you looked up, your breath catching as your eyes met his – those same amber eyes you’d seen so many times before, only now, there was no doubt.
you could only stare at him, your mind reeling. you remembered that night in the snow, the warmth of his eyes when he’d looked at you. you'd had no idea, but somehow, part of you had always known.
"i’m the one you saved, y/n," he said softly, as if to reassure your thoughts. his voice was warm, familiar.
you searched his gaze. “you’re...a werewolf? so they really do exist,” you managed, still trying to wrap your head around it all. there was a hint of a smile tugging at his lips, but then his expression grew serious.
“giri said it’d be best if i kept my distance. safer for you,” he admitted, his voice barely a whisper. “but i couldn’t...stay away.” he paused, his gaze dropping. “i’m so sorry i got you involved in all of this." his voice trailed off towards the end.
for a moment, you just looked at him, letting his words sink in. his gaze was steady, though there was a flicker of vulnerability there that made your chest ache.
“taki,” you said softly, stepping closer. “i’m glad you didn’t stay away.” he looked up at you, a hint of surprise crossing his face. “i mean it. i love spending time with you, i told you things i've never told anyone else, i feel safe when i’m with you. even after – especially after tonight.”
a gentle smile softened his expression, the tension leaving his shoulders. “then i promise,” he murmured, his voice warm, “i’ll always protect you.”
you felt a warmth bloom in your chest, a feeling of quiet assurance that you hadn’t realized you’d been looking for. you nodded, smiling back at him.
the night air felt a little warmer with him beside you, and as he reached for your hand, you let him take it, feeling the comforting weight of his touch.
“come on,” he said, his voice lighter now. “let me walk you home for real now.”

You woke abruptly to a loud crack of thunder. It could have been the nightmare that was keeping you from sleep, but you did not want to dwell on such devilish thoughts. You rose from your bed with a creak and fled to the window. The raindrops were pelting the glass like a stampede of cattle against cobblestone. It was almost too much for your ears to bear to be at such a distance.
You looked beyond the window of your own tower to the abyss below. Having powerful storms such as this one made the daunting castle so much more intimidating.
As you squinted your eyes, you could see the dim glow of the street lights lit up despite the storm. They flickered from a combination of rain and wind that threatened to destroy their luminescence.
You saw the poor innkeeper that fought the wind as he walked back inside from checking the stalls. It seemed as if he could almost be swept up in the wind.
Since sleep felt out of the question at this time, you made yourself comfortable against the inside of your window and waited. You hoped the rain would pass soon so the branches may stop their incessant tapping against your windows.
You felt your eyes go dark as your eyelids fluttered shut. The rain became a companion of comfort now as it steadied, as well as lulled you to sleep.
The feeling did not last long as you heard a crash from down below. It took you a moment to compose yourself and wake up again before you looked down to survey the damage. You waited a moment to see if anyone down below heard the crash and were running to help, but there was no such luck.
You pulled on your robe to cover your nightdress while you dashed down the hall to your father’s room. It turned out that he had heard the crash as well and was already on his way out of his quarters.
“Father, you heard it as well?” you asked him.
“I did, my dear! I will go down at once to see what’s the matter.”
“I will come with you!”
He must have not heard you completely or else he would have stopped you by now since you were half way down the stairwell. You fled from the front doors of the castle and you were met with immediate rainfall. Your nightgown was soaked within seconds, but you couldn’t stop now as this was turning out to be the most interesting event to happen in your recent memory.
The rain and fog was clouding your vision, so you were only able to see the scene before you once you were closer. “What is it, father?” you yelled over the rain.
“It seems to be a crashed carriage. I am going to see if anyone has been injured.”
As you approached the damage, you could make out the small carriage that had flipped over on its side. Oddly enough, there was no horse to be found that could be pulling the carriage, only the carriage itself. There seemed to be no trace of any evidence on how the carriage came to your front entrance.
“Come, quickly!” your father shouted. “There’s a woman here!”
You ran to your father’s aid and saw the woman in question. The door of the carriage was open to reveal a dark haired woman spilling out. Her dress was disheveled beyond imagination and she looked to be unresponsive.
Your father turned her over on your back and you were able to see the mystery woman’s face now. Your eyes widened and you took a step back in shock.
“What’s the trouble, dear?” father asked you.
You hesitated. “Nothing at all… just surprised.”
Surprised was not quite the word you would use. Unnerved was more fitting.
The woman’s face was something out of a dream, a dream that you had. She seemed so familiar yet so distant and new. Her face was angelic, but held a darkness that pulled you in deeper than you wanted. Even with her unconscious you could feel the mystery radiating from her skin.
“We need to get her inside, it’s much too cold to be out here,” your father instructed.
Your father did most of the work to lift her up. Once her figure was upright, you took her unoccupied arm and wrapped it around your shoulder to help her inside.
Once you were able to get her inside, you carried her up the stairs and into a guest suite. Your father rushed to the fireplace in order to get a proper fire going to heat the room as well as the mystery woman’s cold body.
You did the honors of resting the woman’s head against the chaise lounge that was placed by the fire for convenience sake. You assumed it would be best to be as close to the fire as possible granted her condition.
You stood back and watched the woman sleeping while the fire cast its warm and wavering reflection upon her. Seduction seemed to be the appropriate word to use as you stared at her. You wanted to be as close to her as possible, but also far away from her danger that you couldn’t help but feel.
“Let’s let her rest,” your father said while giving your shoulder a gentle squeeze.
You gave a small nod and walked out behind your father, but not before giving the woman one more peculiar look. You escorted yourself back to your room and shut the door tightly. You were sure by now that the sun would be coming up very soon.
The fire in your own room threatened to go out, so you decided to feed it more and add another log or two. Once the fire was properly maintained you found yourself in bed once again with a new change of sleeping clothes, ones that were not soaked by the storm.
You drifted off to sleep faster than you had anticipated which was a nice surprise. Your sleep did not feel entirely fulfilling as you jolted awake from a nightmare once again, but this time it was light outside. The storm seemed to be a figment of your imagination, as the sky was blue and birds were singing their morning songs. It was almost as if last night had not existed whatsoever.
The woman. You wondered where she had gone. Was she still in her room? Had she fled the castle after she had awoken? Could she be wandering the halls? The opportunities for her were endless.
You decided to try your hand at her room first. You creeped down the hallway in order to prevent the creaks in the floor from completely blowing your cover.
Your hand hovered over the door nervously. Unless the woman had run away, you knew you would run into her eventually so you tried to get it over with as you knocked lightly on the door.
“…Come in.”
A deep voice spoke from behind the door and you stepped back. You half thought that the woman would be gone, and the other part of you that believed she stayed had not realized you could be even more entranced by her.
You pushed on the door and hesitantly walked through to come face to face with the mysterious woman. Her once pleasant looking face turned even whiter when she met your eyes. She seemed to be the epitome of confusion.
“I apologize if it is too much of an intrusion, but have we met before?” she asked you.
You felt it could be an interesting question to ask if you had not felt the exact same the moment you laid your gaze upon her. “I do not believe so, but I cannot help to feel the same.”
The confusion quickly turned to realization. “Your dreams…”
“Pardon?”
“I have seen your face in your dreams. It sounds most strange, but what I say is true. I do not know how or why, but you have plagued every thought as I sleep and I have seen you just last night.”
The more she explained, the stranger it sounded. People cannot invade one another’s dreams as she says, that is preposterous.
“You have been suffering from nightmares, no?” she asked you. She snaked closer to you, almost as if she did not walk but was transported nearer.
You nodded your head reluctantly.
“How would I know that if what I said is but a lie?”
You felt like there was a point to be made with what she said, but you still were not convinced. Since you really did not want to debate the topic any further, you decided to change the subject.
“I’m sorry, but I haven’t asked your name?” you asked the woman.
“My name is Yelena, and yours?”
“My name is y/n, pleased to meet you.”
“And you as well. This situation seems quite odd indeed, so may I ask, what exactly happened?” You could not imagine how this lonely woman felt being in such an accident, so you were not sure exactly how to phrase such a story.
“Well, it was the middle of the night and there was a terrible storm that kept me awake. One minute I was asleep, and the next I heard a great noise coming from the entrance of the castle. My father and I ran outside to see what was the matter and found your carriage with no horses to be found. We felt it was in our best judgment to bring you inside and get you warm before sending you on your way to your destination.”
Yelena smiled faintly and looked towards the ground. “The thing is, I cannot remember what destination that may be.”
She had a way of looking past your eyes and directly into your soul. You were sure it would soon swallow you whole.
“Well, while you are busy thinking about that, I will have clothes for you to borrow until then. Hopefully that will be suitable?”
“Of course, of course. I appreciate your hospitality and openness to me.”
In all fairness, you didn’t have much of a choice but you did not mind either way. You hoped that someone would do the same for you. So, instead of answering, you gave one courteous nod of your head in reply.
“Would you… like a tour of our home?” You didn’t think it would hurt to ask, as you didn’t know how long her stay would turn into.
“That would be most pleasant if you don’t mind!”
“Not at all,” you smiled.
You straightened out your dress and gave her a look that insisted she follow you. She was like a quiet mouse creeping behind you, you only knew she was there occasionally when she made a peep, but her footsteps were silent.
You took her up and down the hallways and the stairs, directing her to the abundance of rooms that she could explore in her free time. You turned around often to look at her and each time you tried, it seemed as if she was looking at you all along.
It was starting to become strange the amount of times you caught her staring at you and not the architecture that was crafted inside the castle. The only thing infatuating to her was you.
The way she watched you like a predator watches its prey was something to be studied in itself. There wasn’t one move you made that she wasn’t watching. There was power in your every move and you were well aware.
You kept on the same as you began and led her to the library. “It’s not much, but this is where I spend much of my time,” you told her.
“It is the most grand thing I have ever seen. I’ve never seen so many books before!”
You watched her face light up and you felt a rush of both happiness and pity. There were plenty of places that had more books than your silly old castle, but you were happy that there was someone else to appreciate it as much as you.
She jogged along the side of the shelves and ran her fingers down each book spine. She took care in feeling each one with tender care.
“I can’t believe it! I may just have to stay here forever,” she exclaimed. You mustered a small laugh in exchange.
“You are welcome to use it during all hours.”
She walked over to you and grabbed your hands. You felt an uncomfortable surge of coldness run through your body that was triggered by her touch. You did not know something could be so cold. You tried to pull your hands away instinctually, but she held on tighter.
“Your hospitality means everything to me. Thank you so very much.” She sounded genuine, which was quite contrasting to her natural chill.
Then, leaning in close, she brought her frozen lips towards your cheek. Time seemed to stop as her lips made the journey near you.
They gently touched your cheek in a most affirmative movement that somehow still felt soft. They were just as expected; chilled to the bone. The longer she lingered close to you the less you felt like you could restrain yourself.
Her touch against you was like a siren whisper that grew stronger. In your mind, you could see her hands all over you in an unabashed manner. Those hands could trail over your bodice, down your neck, and may even try and sneak under your precisely placed gown.
In an instant, your thoughts left as soon as they appeared. It did not go unnoticed by Yelena apparently. You could see it written on her face that something bothered you, almost as if she had already read every thought that had just occurred.
“We-we must keep moving,” you instructed.
“Lead the way, y/n.” She said your name as if it commanded power, the complete opposite of what it was.
In the next few days that passed, you and Yelena grew quite close. You would find her in the library during the wee hours of the night, whether that was reading a book or simply sitting and staring out into the beyond. During the day, you found her sleeping, which was quite strange.
You couldn’t get over just how odd the woman was, regardless of your relationship with her now. She had her strange quirks, and the wild thoughts always occurred when she touched you, just like they did before. Sometimes they were stronger or weaker, but you were now convinced that Yelena could read your mind.
She wore a smirk after each moment of skin to skin that happened. This was always accompanied by your red face that took over after the thoughts had passed.
This was nothing like the thoughts that became real the night when Yelena left for good.
This particular night, she was nowhere to be found in her usual spots. You tried her room for a change, even if it was the middle of the night.
You could hear the fire crackling and the orange light glowing from the outside the door. Instead of knocking, something inside you decided to push the door open instead. You see Yelena sitting on the lounge near the fire with a book in hand.
“I was wondering when you would come and find me,” she smiled.
“I did not know I was supposed to.”
“Sure you didn’t.” She had a way of making every conversation into something quite sensual.
She patted the spot next to her, instructing you to come sit down. You anxiously walked over to her with the creaking floor below you as your guide. You plopped yourself down on the lounge with a bounce.
“What took you so long to find me, dear?” she asked, her voice dropping an octave lower. She quickly put the book down while her hand found your hair. Her fingers twirled through it so seductively, each fiber prickling against your skin and sending you shivering.
“Hmm?” she asked this time, feeling more like a demand as time went on.
“Uhm, I checked all your usual spots and did not seem to find you. I heard the crackling of the fire and it led me here.”
“Good thing you found me then hmm.”
She had moved from twirling your hair to almost petting it. Then, her hand brushed against your shoulder and that is when the thoughts found you once again, but they did not feel exactly like your imagination. The thoughts that impeded your mind felt more like a promise rather than a dream this time.
Her nails dragged up and down your arm which felt almost like lines of frozen crystals were left in its place. Her lips followed, their chilly touch exploring the bare parts of your shoulder. The closer they became to your neck, the more you wanted to give in. You were sure now that this was not a dream.
“Why would it be a dream?”
Your body was rigid after the question. She indeed knew every thought you had had about her and this was the finale.
“I waited so long to be able to touch you like this. Knowing it’s no longer living in your mind makes it so much sweeter,” she cooed.
You found yourself leaning against the side of the lounge while Yelena had her way with you. It was the same feeling as before, but this time it was more real. Because it was real. She was real.
She kissed on every untouched part of your neck as her long nails dug into the space behind your neck. It took everything in you not to scream from the pain and pleasure.
“It’s alright to feel it. I want you to feel everything,” she whispered, her voice once again resembling a siren call.
Her hands were everywhere she could reach before making it too risqué. You had never experienced anything quite this heavenly in your life. There was nothing that was stopping you to act on your feelings, but you were so distracted by Yelena that you felt paralyzed.
She soaked up the feeling and taste of your skin as she moved down your arms and your legs. Each brush of her lips and tongue make your hair stand on edge and your back arch.
“Almost done, sweet girl.”
Almost done? You did not know that there was an end you were waiting for.
Before reaching under your dress, Yelena stopped. She came up to you once again where you could see her dilated pupils, hungry for something you were uncertain of.
This time when she smiles, there was a mischievous flare that you did not miss. In addition, you did not miss the way that her teeth seemed to change before your eyes. Either way, you seemed stuck in a daze that did not quit.
She lowered her mouth down to the side of your neck and kissed and sucked. The action became stronger… and stronger. It reached its peak before a sting of pain.
“Ouch!” You were suddenly brought out of your trance and sat up. There was a trickle of blood that started at the top of your neck and ran down over the front of your dress.
You got up from the lounge and walked across the room to find something to dab the blood off. There was a sting when you placed the cloth over your injury.
You spend so much time caring for your wound that you had forgotten all about Yelena who was recently suffocating you with lust. You looked around the room and she was nowhere to be found.
To your surprise, it was light outside and you were not sure exactly how that happened so quickly. You went to search the castle looking for her. She was not in the library, her room, your room, or anywhere in between.
Yelena seemed to vanish before your very eyes, as there was no trace of the mysterious woman you had come to call a friend.
All that was left was the lust she had burned into you as her final goodbye.

So Jamil won and honestly, I agree. The concept of Jamil being the vampire slayer verses Leona and Vil as vampires would really align more with his character and be a fun crossover. I still had some ideas for Leona and Vil as slayers so I might blab about that some other time but Jamil the vampire slayer will get his own post and drabblings and art <3 I’m still super inspired so hopefully I’ll do that this weekend! It’ll be his late birthday gift :3

An ancient, eerie and tranquil location. Such a perfect place for sinful and blasphemous deeds. Doesn't matter how you ended up here, because right now, in the middle of the night, there's only one thing flooding your thoughts. Its name - Lust. He looks at you with his beautiful and mesmerising blue eyes. His pupils grow bigger and bigger. You can hear his heavy breathing, filled with anticipation. So pathetic, so cute, so... tempting. One of the most powerful vampires at your feet, Gojō Satoru himself, practically begging for a droplet of your blood. And then there's you, sitting on a steel bench near one of the tombstones, like a judge with a heart of stone, assessing his pathetic figure.  Slowly raising one of your legs, you touch his cheek with your pointy heel.
‘Look at yourself, you pathetic little slut. You want me so badly you're willing to grovel before me like a pest.’ words escaping your mouth are cruel but undeniably true. He can't dismiss any of the accusations as he stays silent. ‘Nothing in your defence, huh? Tsk. What shall I do with you?’ Caressing his cheek with your shoe, you continue your berating monologue. ‘Please... Just... Please let me…’ he finally utters a few very quiet words. His face is red, sweat running down his Adam's apple. Pair of glowing blue eyes are fixated on your neck. What an enjoyable sight it is.  ‘Oh shut up, I will do what I want. Just be a good boy and maybe I'll consider rewarding you.’  You answer pridefully, giving him a few taps on the face. No man will talk over you, especially when he's so deplorable, so weak. He obediently falls silent, kneeling on the cold ground, while your thoughts are starting to get filled with all of the things you could do to him. Your final decision is to start slowly. ‘First, tell me what do you want? What can such a pathetic little vampire lust after?’ Your question makes him look at your face. ‘Hah... You...obviously know... the answer... so why are you asking? You want to humiliate me... even more? Is this sight really that amusing?’ He answers with resentment in his voice. Still struggling to form a coherent speech, but showing his last bits of pride. Impressive, in a way.  ‘Clearly. I want to hear you say it, I want to see you being vulnerable.’ you answer while looking down at him, a slightly ironic grin forming on your face. ‘You’ve agreed to my proposal, you appeared precisely at the time of our meeting, not even a second of delay. You must be really desperate.’ ‘I… I can’t deny it. I want to… I need to taste your blood. That’s why I’m here.’ he answers hesitantly. ‘What do you… want me to do?’ He looks at you with anticipation. ‘Beg.’ you give him an order, but no sound escapes from his mouth. His lips are sealed tight, still opposing you. Vampire pride is nothing to scoff at, especially if it comes to their royalty. ‘BEG.’ you loudly repeat your command, looking him straight in the eye, unwavering.  ‘I... Please... allow me to taste you... your blood.’ he finally gives in. ‘I want to taste it so badly, I can't stop thinking about it. Day and night, I'm being overcome with this sick desire, I can't function anymore. Please, I beg you to bring me relief.’
Good heavens, how obedient has he become. You give him a gentle smile. A whisper comes from your mouth. ‘Good boy.’ You extend your finger slightly towards him, a gesture of silent consent. He hesitantly moves towards you, close enough to have full access to your hand. You can clearly see him shaking a little from the excitement that's been boiling inside for a long time. Then, as if losing his senses, he grabs your hand in a flash and starts sucking your finger hastily, like a starved animal after getting its first meal in ages. You feel his tongue, his sharp fangs tearing through the flesh and...  an intense heat slowly appearing in your chest and between your legs.
He gets closer to you, still on his knees. Losing composure you grab his black silken shirt with your free hand uncovering a beautifully sculpted pale chest. Your fingers start wandering around his body, touching his abs, his chest, his hardening nipples. The skin is so soft that it makes you want to touch him even more. Your hand slowly glides towards his belt. As if he knew what your intention is, he brings his hips up so that you have a better access. You play with the belt a little and then you slowly begin undoing it. He doesn't seem to care about your mischievous manoeuvres - he desires all of this, in fact. The bliss of erotic stimulation paired with bloodsucking is one of the most addictive things in existence. While unzipping his trousers you feel your pussy getting wet. His body is also reacting, as you place your hand on his boxers you can feel the bulge in them grow little by little. Both of you are getting possessed by pure desire. You start slowly caressing his dick through the material, trying to feel how big he is. It’s not an average sized thing, that’s what you can be sure of. Your fingers grab the edge of the boxers and with a gentle movement you start pulling them down to uncover that pretty pulsating dick, so starved for your touch. ‘Do you want me to jerk you off?’ you ask him playfully. He just gives you a gentle nod, his fangs still deep in your flesh. You grab his fully erect cock by the shaft. It’s so big, so indecent. Your hand starts moving slowly, still exploring its silky skin, its curves, its shape. As a bit of pre-cum starts flowing out you can hear a quiet whimper coming from your victim. Yes, he is your victim. Your underwear is fully wet now, every time you tighten the grip on his dick you can feel slight electrical shocks of excitement travel through your body, reaching your clit and your nipples. It’s all so dirty, so unholy.  He starts trembling, his breath becoming faster. You can hear even more quiet whimpers escaping his mouth. Moving your hand up and down, gliding swiftly, you increase the tempo. Oh, what an amusing activity. You squeeze his dick firmly, thumb on his glans caressing it. Your fingers are wet and sticky, but you don't care, this is too fun to stop. You don't mind getting your hands dirty, literally, to torment your prey.
‘You're so close now, I can feel it twitching.’ you say, smirking. ‘Should I give you the relief you so desperately want?’ you slow down your movements, just to play with him. ‘Please.. no.. please con..continue... I want to…’ he begs, his voice sounds like he's about to cry.  ‘Oh, you pathetic, pathetic creature. Alright then, you've amused me for so long, I guess you deserve a reward.’ you answer him coldly. But the heat in you doesn't lie, you're also getting close to the climax. Vampire venom is already in your veins and obviously the effects are getting to you. You want to get off so badly… so badly that you accept the decision to finally end this play. You lower your head to get closer to his ear, white hair tickling you slightly.
‘Now then... I order you to cum, you sinful vampire whore.’ you whisper, as calmly as you can in this situation. You squeeze his dick as it starts pulsating. In an instant his eyes open wide, pupils dilated to the point of almost covering the blue glow entirely. Hearing his loud, dirty moan and his fangs strongly clenching on your finger, hot cum running down your hand, you start cumming too. A myriad of intense sensations travelling through your body, making you dizzy; you close your eyes to savour this sweet feeling, this blasphemous night.

“Stop worrying about me. I’ll be fine. I won’t get hurt. I promise I won’t.”
In eighteen hundred years, Hanbin had never broken a promise to you. Until now. He was painfully aware that somehow, something had gone wrong on that battlefield. He couldn’t remember what, but something alerted him that everything was very, very wrong.
“Y/n? Y/n! Where are you?” Hanbin’s shouts landed on deaf ears, echoing around the dark void without anyone to receive them. He didn’t know where he was, or how he ended up there in the first place. The last thing he remembered was you holding him close, pressing a gentle kiss to his forehead with tears in your eyes. Why were you crying? Why did you look so scared?
His gaze dropped to his hands, inspecting them as if they would give him some answers. They looked normal, but something felt different. He couldn’t feel his magic surging in his veins. Before, he could sense his heart beating slowly if he focused, but now, it felt like it was pounding in his chest, so loud he couldn’t stop hearing it. He ran his tongue along the front of his teeth: no fangs.
Was he… no longer a vampire?
He touched his collarbone, feeling for the tattoos. They were still there, yet they didn’t react to his touch. No glowing, no surge of his powers, just stillness. He gulped. For the first time, unquenchable fear filled his body.
For hundreds of years he had learned to live a certain way. Always close to you, so that his powers could be strongest. Always in harmony between his natural body and supernatural vampiric features. He never needed to worry about sickness or the cold. He could transform into a bat at will or heal wounds, both physical and mental.
He felt useless now, unable to do any of the things he used to. Lost, without a single direction to go towards. He couldn’t remember what he did as a human; what he used to fill his time with. It was too long ago to recall. He felt like he had just been born again, with no sense of how to go about the world. He’d have to learn all over again. But first, he was determined to find you.
He wasn’t himself without you. You had held a part of him for too long, caring for his soul as if it was your own. If he wasn’t with you, he had no purpose. So, he took a few steps forward, slowly getting used to the feeling of the ground beneath his feet. Every step took energy he wasn’t used to expending. He felt weak, as if he could pass out at any moment. A pounding headache across his forehead and a weak unstable feeling in his knees. He had never felt this weak as a vampire.
With each step he took, more ground appeared beneath his feet. Slowly, a sort of town came into view. It was quaint. Little wooden cottages topped with red roofs. Signs pointed out the street names and directions. He stopped to read a few, figuring out which way to head next. He hesitantly chose the town centre, deciding it was a reasonable spot to start.
People stared at him as he walked by. He didn’t care to find out why. Years of only caring about your opinions trained him to not give them a second glance. He knew his purpose, sure of himself and confident. Although he was scared to admit that his confidence was wavering without you by his side.
He reached the town square where an official looking building stood next to a fountain. He assumed it must be the governor’s office or some mayor’s building. Maybe he could get a list of residents? He stepped up the stairs, pulling the door open to be met with a fairly empty entranceway. There was a line of counters, behind which secretaries typed away at their typewriters and scribbled on paper with pens. He walked up to one of the open spots on the counter, face-to-face with an elderly man who’s fingers flew across the typewriter with practised ease.
“How may I help you?” His accent was thick and his tone weighted down by dull tiredness. He didn’t seem fazed by whatever had caused the other residents to stare unabashedly at Hanbin. The old man barely blinked twice at him.
“I’m looking for a list of residents in the town. I need to contact someone.” Hanbin said quietly. The man nodded, muttering that he would find a list in the back somewhere. As Hanbin was left alone for the time being, he surveyed the other people in the building, each talking at the counter as well. They were too quiet for him to make out the conversations; his hearing significantly weakened since he lost his powers. One voice stood out, though.
“No, not Hanjin— I’m looking for Hanbin! Sung Hanbin.”
Hanbin’s eyes widened, his head whipping around to try to find the owner of the loud voice.
“How many times do I have to repeat myself? He’s about 180cm tall, has dark black hair, pale skin, and a slim face. He has to be in your records somewhere.”
“Ma’am, I’m sure we can find him, rest assured. What did you say his birthday was again?”
“June thirteenth.”
“What year?”
“25.”
“1925?”
“No. 25. The year 25. Zero, zero, two, five.”
“Ma’am, I’m not sure I follow. Do you mean to say he is over nineteen hundred years old? No human has ever—”
Hanbin had never felt his heart race so fast. Adrenaline pulled at every muscle in his body so suddenly he could hardly comprehend what was happening before his legs were rushing him over to where you stood, arguing with the lady at the counter.
“Y/n,” He called to you, and time seemed to slow as you turned your head. “Excuse us,” He mumbled quickly to the lady at the counter, grabbing your wrist and pulling you out the door of the building. He kept walking, his hold on your arm tight, afraid you would disappear. You couldn’t take your eyes off of him, entranced by his appearance. Once he had found a secluded area, he stopped walking, trailing his hand up your arm to your shoulder instead.
“What happened? Where are we?” The questions flew out of his mouth. You didn’t have an answer for him.
“I’ve been looking for you for days.” Tears brimmed in your eyes as you looked at him. You touched his cheek with your hand. It felt warm.
“What happened on the day of the battle?” He asked again, prying for an answer. You shook your head, tears falling. You just stepped closer, wrapping your arms around him, head against his chest. Shaky breaths in as you felt his heartbeat; steady, fast, warm.
“I don’t want to think about it.” You told him quietly. Hanbin could only hold you, mind confused and worried. There were so many questions he had. He was sure you had the answers, if only you’d tell him. But he wouldn’t push you, not when you clearly were in a delicate mental state.
He wished he could feel you like he used to. You had only been in his arms a few minutes, but it felt different. He couldn’t relax your body with a spell, or get a peek into your thoughts. He tried to figure you out from the outside, and that was a difficult task.
“We should get you new clothes. These ones are soaked with blood.” You mumbled after a while, face still buried against his chest. Hanbin looked down to his sleeve, noticing for the first time that he did have very obvious stains. No wonder he got so many curious stares. He wondered what they were from. Surely, it couldn’t have been his own blood. He wasn’t injured or bleeding.
“Y/n, what is this town?” Hanbin asked anxiously, as he spotted someone looking at you both from across the road.
“It’s for the undead. Everyone here has already passed away, including you and me.”
“What?”

I finally put my headphones down, recognizing that I had streamed for over 6 hours, which was definitely one of my longest streams. Leaving my gaming desk, I dressed in a black overside tee and off-white sweatpants, combined with shoes and a baseball hat. I look at the wall clock that hangs directly next to the front door.
2:13 am. A great time to go prowling around the city looking for some fresh blood.
This is the society in which vampires, demons, angels, and other races live in secrecy alongside humans. So it is inherently difficult to obtain adequate nourishment, especially for vampires, whose primary source is blood. Pacts play an important function in this context.
Pacts ensure that no race exploits other races in need of nourishment.
Vampires can feed on anyone of any race, but a pact-bound vampire can only feed on its pact mate; the blood of any other living thing becomes poisonous.
I wander around town alleys, watching intoxicated folks brawl and lie around with no care in the world. I never fancied alcoholic blood, but I'm not in a position to pick favorites. It's easier to feed off a drunk than a sober individual because there's no screaming or running away.
I take a turn down the dimly lit alley, looking around for individuals or surveillance cameras. None. I proceed a few meters forward and notice a strong stench of blood. The sweetest smell I have ever encountered in my decades of life.
I see two bloodied bodies: one tall, well-toned, and the other unidentifiable and clearly dead.
"Hey, "Are you Okay?" I ask the tall, toned man.
No response.
I let out a heavy sigh as I shred the linen at his thighs, sinking my teeth in, soaking up the wonderful blood and injecting a small quantity of my fluid.
Yes, vampires can inject fluid into the region to heal the bite mark and remove the evidence. While pure-blooded vampires can heal anyone, human or vampire, as long as they are alive, the other vampires can only heal less sever wounds, the bite wounds.
I cease feeding off of him, feeling full and satisfied, and wait for the fluid to work its job. I plopped him over my shoulder and walked discreetly back home, avoiding congested areas to avoid raising suspicions.
Placing him on the couch, I prepare the water for the bath while keeping an eye on him. It wasn't the finest idea to drag an injured stranger into my home, but the sweet, addictive taste of his blood overruled my reasonable reasoning. Well, if he is good and keeps his mouth shut, it will be a win-win situation for both; otherwise, what a waste of such sweet tasting blood.
I was quickly brought out of my thoughts as I heard the person groan and wake awake.
"Hey, how are you feeling?" I inquired, studying his pale skinned face, which has the nicest but most gorgeous features. What a lucky find.
"Who are you?" the man asked, standing up, his body towering over mine.
"You first, because I am the one who saved you," I answered, looking straight into his eyes. His frightening atmosphere may have worked on others, but not on me.
"I am Jung Yunho," the man said, reclining back on the couch. "Is that enough?"
"Come on, I know that you are definitely not human" I say, checking if he takes the bait, "You gotta be careful, that body is almost unrecognizable"
Despite his calm demeanor, his face was filled with misery and hatred, and he spoke with a heavy sigh.
"I am a demon, An incubus to be precise, that body has brutally murdered my foster family"
"Rest easy, I made sure not to leave evidence" I remarked, setting down a pair of clothes and a towel, "Go get a bath, you are dirty, and I hate messy stuff in my room"
He nods quietly and enters the bathroom, while I clean the couch and vacuum the house.
3:44 am.
I plop down on the couch, searching through websites to update my book collection with new releases.
"I never thought your clothes would be almost perfect fit, how tall are you?" He asks, drying his hair with a towel.
Now that I can see clearly, this man is one of the most stunning people I've ever met, with breathtakingly beautiful body proportions and an ethereal face. I hurriedly return my gaze to the screen, hoping not to be caught salivating over his appearance.
"Probably 180 or 182 cm, so yeah, i am shorter than you by mere centimeters"
"So, since you knew my identity, its only fair to tell yours"
"I am Y/N, a Vampire, purebred," I add as I pay for the books I've opted to read. "Well known to people by the name Lynn, the streamer"
"YOU ARE THAT STREAMER??" Yunho shrieked, almost deafening my hearing; his eyes were filled with joy as he plopped right next to me on the couch, unwittingly releasing his tail and horns.
"You have no idea! I'VE BEEN A FAN OF YOURS FOR A LONG TIME," he said, going into detail about my previous streaming aliases and so on.
"Easy now boy, Put those horns and tail away" I say while asnwering his never ending questions.
----------------------------------------------------
I normally stream for 20 to 25 years before taking a break and starting again under a different identity so that people don't have suspicions about my race. However, it is only effective against humans, who have significantly shorter lifespans.
"I have a deal, Since you have no where to go, you can stay here, but in return, let me feed on your blood" I' proposed.
"You do realize that biting an incubus is equivalent to forming a pact?" He questioned back. "You have no choice but to feed only on me and same is the case with me"
I really screwed up; I forgot that feeding off a demon is basically forging a pact, now I am at the mercy of this Incubus.
------------------------------------
The days passed pleasantly; I did my daily streaming, with Yunho occasionally joining in and playing with me. Well, thanks to him, more specifically for his honey sweet voice, which brought in more subscribers and hence more money.
Once a stranger, he now assists me with my daily activities and keeps the room clean. Despite being told that his voice and game play alone are enough to cover his living expenses, he persists on doing it nevertheless.
It's adorable to see him play with his Spider-Man-themed game station and his toy collection; the once-empty guest bedroom has become his land. I look around the house, only to realize that it no longer reflects my tastes, but rather 'our tastes'.
Yunho, the more I got to know him, the more perfect he appeared to be. He took sure to keep his blood in blood packs in case he had to go outside for longer than intended, brought back plushies or anything with phrases like "This looks like you" or "This reminds me of you." My life suddenly feels really lively, and I'm wondering how I've managed to remain alone for so long.
and by the time I realized, i fell for him. My first love.
------------------------------------------------------
One thing I've noticed about Yunho recently is that he's becoming paler by the day and spending most of his time curled up on his bed, and I haven't fed off of him in a long time. Unlike humans, I don't have to worry about a demon fainting or dying from blood loss, so I'd feed on him heavily at first and then stop until my desire returned.
"Yu, you gotta tell me what's wrong, I can't figure anything out unless you say so," I plead as I sat next his curled up figure on the bed.
"Its nothing, I am just having a little trouble, call mingi over and ask him to bring some meds yeah?" He whispered and shooed me off his room.
That's not it. I have to know what's wrong with him
I picked up the phone and instantly dialed Mingi's number.
"Dude, since you are the same kind as Yunho, tell me what's wrong with him" I said. "I know he spoke about his illness with you"
"Did you ask when was the last time he fed?" He inquired
Oh, the wheels in my brain started turning.
"Well he need to because the fluid provided by vampire is kind of like food to us incubus to live , but what we really need to stay healthy and replenish our powers is of course, sex" Mingi says.
"I'll call you back later," I quickly cut the call off.
"I have been feeding on him all this time and forgot that he needs to feed as well," I mentally slap myself before returning to Yunho's room.
"Yu, I have to feed off you," I add, to which he agrees and lies on his back, raising his wrist. "Do it"
I take his hand, but instead of biting my teeth into his wrist, I grasp both of his hands and straddle him. Yunho instantly stiffens and stares at me, puzzled.
"I really appreciate that you are trying to get me to feed off you, but Y/N, I want to do this with love, I dont want to just have sex for feeding, I dont want to impose on you and make you uncomfortable, I am fine with just your fluid" He looks at me with tears in his eyes.
"I love you Y/N, I genuinely do, I don't want to impose on you, you were there for me when I thought it was the end for me, and as time sped by, I got to see a lot of you. The streamer, the clumsy girl, the tech nerd, the loving one, Of course, you don't have to receive-"
I closed his mouth by kissing him. His lips felt unbelievably soft and full, and hot breath swept across my cheeks. It was a quick kiss, but long enough to let him know the feelings were reciprocal.
"I love you too, Yunho; only after meeting you did I realize that having a pact is a blessing, not a shackle; all of my lonely days are now replaced with joy and laughter; it's as if I've found everything I've ever hoped for in my life. You put life back into my spirit.
I grind my hips against him, leaning onto his body, unable to surpass the sweet whimpers.
"Yu, please~"

You knew bats were common in the park. There had been public service announcements about not making too much noise after dark, as to not disturb them too much. The park rangers took their conservation very seriously. And you had the occasional run-in with one on your way home. The first few times you had been startled by the sudden swoosh by your head whenever one flew over just a little too closely, but now you started to actually enjoy the sound of their wings flapping.
If anything, you had found some online material on bats, bat sanctuaries and absolutely adored all the videos these organizations posted on their social media. Especially with the bats wrapped in towels munching on pieces of fruit, they never failed to make you smile.
The last few days had been a unique experience though, with a bat whooshing past you a few too many times. It never bumped into you or attacked you, but you were worried about it still; it was not normal behavior for them to be so close to the humans in the park so many times.
It hadn’t been once either, it had been 4 times the past few days already, and you were getting worried that it may be sick or need help. You weren’t sure what to do about it though, all the online resources warned you not to touch or interact with bats if you weren’t a trained professional, and since it was still flying around proper, you couldn’t really get close enough to get a height of the situation or take a picture to send to a sanctuary nearby.
Tonight was another one of those instances, and yet, something felt off. The way the bat hovered next to you a little instead of passing you by. Could bats even hover? You wanted to grab your phone, hoping the light might scare it off or allow you to snap a picture, but the minute you stopped, the few lights in the park went out, and you stood surrounded by darkness.
It was then you noticed that something else was off: you were all alone in the park. It was late, but not so late that there wouldn’t be anyone else passing through anymore. There was little wind either, all of nature seemed to have quieted down with the lights turning off, not even any owl sounds or rustling of leaves was left. The only sounds were your only footsteps and the flapping of the bat’s wings right next to you still.
The bat was still hovering right next to you and you grabbed your phone, the light of your flashlight doing nothing to perturb it either. If anything, it squinted its big, curious eyes, an almost humanlike reaction to your tactics. You swore you could see it smirk.
Unsettled by its behavior more than worried now, you figured a quick picture would be all you did before making your way out of the park. Maybe you’d jog a little, just to be safe. Your gut was telling you to run, after all, and who were you to deny your gut?
You held up your phone, but were confused to find your screen empty, or at the very least, devoid of the bat. It flew away, almost as if it knew to avoid the camera, and the quick snap you took had not a single trace of the bat in it.
That was your final sign to run. You started walking towards the exit, eager to be out of the park, and away from the strange bat. You would be doing your research on this weird behavior when you got home, but for now, you just wanted to get out.
You picked up the pace when you noticed the bat was following you, and you were full on running when you were nearing the exit. You kept looking over your shoulder to see if you could see the winged creature behind you, especially when the noises the wings made were overpowered by your own ragged breaths.
You nearly tripped and fell when you noticed the bat had disappeared, looking back just a little too long to try and figure out where it went. When you turned around, you smacked into someone, hard. You let out an ‘oof’, as you almost fell over, surprised the other person, who was smaller than you in statue, didn’t seem as surprised by it as you were.
“Careful now,” they held up a hand apologetically, “if you look behind you while running, you lose sight of what is in front of you.”
You shook your head, blinking rapidly to regain composure. The voice of the man didn’t match his petite stature or rather flamboyant getup. You wondered how you didn’t see him before, as he did stand out, even in the darkness of the park, none of the lights working still.
“Sorry”, you apologized, out of breath, heart racing and wondering where the bat went, “I was just being chased-”
You stopped yourself mid-sentence. He was a stranger, first and foremost, but even more so, you’d be looked at as if you were crazy if you tried explaining that you were running away from a bat with human-like features. Now that you thought about it, his eyes- they seemed almost a little similar. You shook your head and smiled apologetically at the man for your odd behavior. Your mind, still riddled with adrenaline, was probably playing tricks on you.
“Chased by a bat?”
You blinked in confusion. You hadn’t said that part out loud, now did you? He chuckled, a lighthearted sound that didn’t match the grin he had on his face. You felt your blood run cold.
“How’d you-”
He interrupted you before you could finish your question. “I am awfully sorry, I didn’t mean to frighten you. You simply seemed like such a nice person, always kind to the bats. Not to mention that you smell absolutely delicious.”
There was nothing you could come up with that you could say. Nothing that would make you feel better or more safe. You opened up your mouth, but just closed it again, looking at him with big, confused and frightened eyes.
“No worries, I will not hurt you. But I would love to properly explain. Care for a walk through the park? I promise I won’t bite.. yet.”
