She should've known that her return from whatever hell she had been in the last two years wasn't going to be a walk in the park, being forced to attend a party the last thing she had ever expected as she stepped into the building with a doe like expression against her features. She knew nobody, or rather, she knew people in her coven but wasn't particularly close to any of them. The only one she was close too she hadn't seen since she returned and that made this event all the more uncomfortable for her. She felt like a lamb headed into a den of wolves, digits toying nervously at her gown as she moved through the crowded room in search of a less crowded area where she could actually breathe. "This is insane," Emira muttered to herself, pushing past another figure before eventually making it to the seemingly less crowded bar. "You'd think they'd have chosen a bigger venue or even just held this thing out on the streets like a normal New Orleans party," the brunette huffed to the figure beside her. "Especially if they were going to force every person in the damn city to attend."

Brow rises at the males words as amusement spread across her features, attempting to stifle her laughter as she gave a nod. "Honestly, I would be extremely grateful for the assistance," Emira admitted. "I've been wandering around trying to get out for the last 20 minutes. Knight, huh? Like for real? Knighted by a queen and everything?"

"Oh!!!" Lysander said in surprise. He placed his sword on the ground. "Shall I lead you out of the forest dear maiden." He said with a grin. "It is my sworn duty as a knight."

The approaching footsteps of more OEA hadn't been lost on Nevaeh as they spoke, dark hues still trained on the male before her as a hand rose in the direction of the hunters as a burst of fire surrounded them. "I think that's our queue to go," Navey quipped, hand reaching for the male's before pulling them both away, unsure where to go but determined to find them a way out.

Cody’s brow creased as though he was listening sceptically, before a smile tugged at the corners of his lips “really? You’re sure that’s true?” Before he could taunt any further, Nevaeh had already matched his energy, her response causing for him to chuckle. “Right?! I could have sworn that I read somewhere that skipping dinner and a movie and heading straight to a gala that’s sure to end in a bloodbath was where the real romance was.” A hand lifted to rub against his temple as he groaned, “the gun might have been a step too far though.” Inhaling a sharp breath, Cody followed Nevaeh’s direction as he straightened out the crumbled material of his jacket and quipped “and i'll do my best to make that easy on you."
