So, I’ve seen some criticism of the 5th season of Solar opposites. I would like to propose counter arguments in a disciplined and respectful manner. Don’t yell at me.

Spoilers ahead, of course :

"The dynamic is too different, it looks like a fanfic"

Okay. So, this one first. I see where you’re coming from. There’s cute nicknames all the time, they’re always banging, Tervo is a bit too "always there" in the episodes. I get it, it changes a lot.

But it didn’t just completely change because they got married. It completely changed because the Valentines episode broke everything they thought they knew about each other. At first, Terry and Korvo were friends. Then they became such good friends that they would kiss sometimes on the lips. They tongue kiss in season 4 (not before I think), because that’s how much they feel a connection with the other. But they still think that their species doesn’t have love. It’s just really strong teammate affinity, right ? Yeah. It has to be. What else ?

(Not to mention that they’re both morons AND cartoon characters. Give them a break, they’re as sharp as a declawed kittens.)

And when the Valentines episode happens, they finally learn that they can feel love. And that they love each other. Their stupid minds were blown to ash. If they’re in love, they can do everything they wouldn’t dare to do before, everything that seemed kind of taboo. They can get married, kiss tongue anywhere, give each other romantic nicknames, say they love each other as much as they want.

That’s why I think this season was so… intense with Tervo. The next season will probably calm down and focus more on the family, while still keeping the love and cute nicknames between the two.

"Cherry becomes evil out of nowhere"

It might seem weird, but when it happened in front of my screen, I wasn’t really shocked. I just thought "oh… well, there it is."

As Cherry said herself : she never once tried to take the power. All she ever did was trying to help people, survive and protect her daughter. The wall took literally everything from her and spit her out. The only good thing about it is her child (and Montez).

She did nothing but play the hero over and over and was just really happy when she was away from it all with Pezlie. But that’s not the wall/backyard works. It will always be there, this society full of tiny people led by tiny dictators. And it will always be a menace for her and her child.

So if she can’t run, can’t hide, can’t keep playing hero, what else can she do ? Lead. "What you need is a queen". And you know ? In a way, she’s right. This society needs something or someone that will bring order to it. Real order. Everyone will live in the same place, food will be rationed (for the sick people, for winter, etc), and there will be laws. It’s what this place needs so that there will be no more freaking wars and conspiracies to fight or run from.

And yes, she does look pretty evil when she says that, especially when she orders them to bow. Because she snapped, she’s done. She got thrown into a lego hole, betrayed, stabbed, heartbroken, abandoned, left for dead by this society, and the only thing that matters to her from now one is to protect her kid and makes sure she grows up alright.

Then again… the god status she unlocked when the grass grew back just when she took over might make her actually join the dark side. We’ll see.

"Glenn’s story is so uninteresting and I freaking hate Tomblr"

For this one… I can’t really blame you. I was pretty disappointed that Zy and Glenn didn’t reunite. But I have to admit that I kind of liked Tomblr.

Just like every other planet, his home was ruled and ruined by Silvercops. They abused him and his family his whole life. Yet, he still joined them to change them from the inside, make it better, make it good. He believed in this dream so much he joined the ones who ruined his life to help people.

Even though everyone around him probably said "they’re way too dangerous" or "why join them, because you actually like them ?" or "you won’t even make it through the first training". No one believed in him, everyone bullied him but he persevered. So I get why he didn’t want to listen to Glenn when he told him to give up.

Even though we saw him blow up, I just hope he’s not actually dead yet, because that would be disappointing.

Now that the drama is over, I wanted to post a little post of appreciation for FL's painter friend, aka Broccoli, because this character was yet another way in which L&P deviated from cliches.

When we first meet him, before the flashback, I was thinking he was going to be a typical secondary male lead - interfering and clingy and irritating. And then...no.

In fact, he's not really a part of any love triangle whatsoever and it becomes clearer and clearer as it goes on that he is a good friend to FL who actually is not in any way interested in chasing her romantically. He would be happy to have her as a permanent live together platonic bestie, no more no less.

He is of the "right class" and instinctively snobby (his warning to FL about ML back in college days, when he met the man for three seconds, is completely based on that - he doesn't otherwise know LX) but he is a supportive friend who is also capable of changing his opinions. He helped her through her depressed abroad period, he's completely not judgmental about her choices (he made his opinion known once, she decided to proceed anyway, and he actually went 'you are an adult, your choice, I can help if you like' - the reaction you'd expect and want from her family, she got from him.) In fact, when she orchestrates that huge and lengthy deceit of her awful fam in order to work with ML and help him get the company back, he is the one who backs up her lies and is her knowing and willing excuse.

And, the best thing is, he is not doing it because he's in loooove with her, and is hoping his being supportive will open her heart or even because he's so in love because he can deny her nothing. He's doing it because they are friends and he wants her happy and sure he'd enjoy continuing to hang out in a chill fashion but he is not pining and has zero interest in chasing her romantically. He is actually as platonic with her as Li Xun is with Ren Di. I honestly think if ZY ever told him she fancied him, he'd be taken aback. (Any marriage they'd have, they'd only have sex the minimum amount of times necessary to have kids and that's it, that's the vibe I get.)

He, I think, learned a lesson from how hard she broke after Li Xun went to jail - if you care for her, you want to make sure she is happy, whatever that happiness means to her because he sees what happens when she breaks. He doesn't have to like Li Xun himself and clearly he and Li Xun will never be besties (though they've both mellowed towards each other by the end), but he wants ZY happy and functional and if it means Li Xun, fair enough, especially since he doesn't really want her the same way himself. I mean - he never lies or does anything else that would hinder the OTP; in fact he's the one who bluntly tells LX about ZY's depression because he's angry on her behalf and he wants to get through LX's thick skull for ZY's sake (and it does get through, it's a hugely helpful to the OTP thing he does.)

And I really really love his exit from the story - it's basically summed up as "well, can't say I am shocked you are not going back with me overseas, enjoy your company and your dude, who's actually not as terrible as I thought, see you later when I am back in the country sometime." I can see him in the future as a bit of a chill art uncle to any kids the OTP have, enjoying a very small dose of the chaos before peacing back out.

Anyway, I really liked what they did with the character, and what they didn't do.

ZY - Rejection. Too real? Too bad. You absolutely cannot tell me that at one point he wasn’t the nerdy little kid in school who got shoved into a locker. That kind of unwavering confidence is only gained through utter rejection for a large portion of your life. But if someone he genuinely admires rejects him? Worst nightmare.

Dano - This might be a little strange, but I hc that Dano can’t swim, so I’d say he’s afraid of large bodies of water. It’s not like he got many (if any) opportunities to learn to swim, so some office jerk throwing him in a pool at a party is a reoccurring nightmare.

YJ - Frogs. Why would he be afraid of frogs? Who knows. But he won’t go near them. Imagine this: he’s walking alone at night and stops dead in his tracks at the small form in the middle of the sidewalk when suddenly it starts hopping toward him. That’s true fear.

Gotham - Being poisoned. It would be so easy to kill someone by simply adding a tasteless odorless poison to their morning coffee, and that thought haunts him. I mean if he can do it to several other people, what’s stopping them from doing it to him?

BTAA - Thunderstorms might seem a little cliché, but I think there’s some history there. A bad storm when he was a child and you’ve got the perfect recipe for a life long phobia.

Arkham - Bugs. He’s fine with the little rats and raccoons and opossums that he cohabitates with, but bugs are a whole different story. Mosquitoes are the worst and a real problem when you live near standing bodies of water, so he’s constantly doing what he can to keep them at bay.

BTAS - This take goes a little on the subliminal side, but I think it’s fair to say that he fears disarray. Having a room that is completely thrown apart, paper on the floor, furniture on its side, is something he just doesn’t have the emotional capacity to deal with and that scares him.

Telltale - Nothing scares grandpa This may also seem a little obvious, but I think more than any other Riddler he is afraid of losing his mind. If something terrible were to happen and he became nothing but a shell of his former self? He can’t handle the thought.

During the Heroes' Conference, Iron Judge Gao Chong will have his hands full. WOH, episode 14, part 9. WKX talks to LQQ about what happened at the LFM residence. WKX drinks alcohol dispassionately, and LQQ is distraught and asks if they really caught LFM and what they should do. Then she quickly adds that WKX as the leader should quickly rescue LFM. He adds that with LFM's character, if the Five Lakes Alliance caught her. WKX interrupts her and tells her not to talk nonsense. WKX explains that it is not time to fight yet. The woman is not satisfied with this answer. WKX tells her that he wants her to disguise herself as YQF and scout the area. He adds that if she guesses correctly, GC has not killed LFM yet. He explains that during the Heroes' Conference, he will publicly execute her. Surprised by the request, the woman agrees and apologizes for her tactlessness. After a while, she asks WKX if she should break into the prison where she is being held. WKX asks if she wants to break in and if that is her job. WKX says that with LQQ's skills, she can probably get in and out of the Yueyang Sect without a problem. WKX states that she just wants to confirm whether Tragicomic Ghost is alive. He advises LQQ not to arouse the enemy's vigilance. Desperate LQQ replies that they have to save LFM. Because the closer to the Heroes' Conference, the more warriors there are. WKX interrupts LQQ again, stating that since when has he needed her advice. The woman does not want to exhaust WKX's patience and just bows. Seeing the state she is in, WKX tells her not to worry because he has a plan. The woman raises her eyes and looks at WKX, who says that during the Heroes' Conference, the Iron Judge GC will have his hands full. LQQ does not oppose WKX, who refills his glass with wine. LQQ continues to say that WKX would definitely not leave her master to die. The woman also states that no one can predict what WKX is up to. WKX tells her to go. LQQ leaves without protest. WKX is left alone with his thoughts. He says out loud that those who know him know what worries him. And those who don't know WKX think he has other plans. Then he goes back to drinking alcohol. Meanwhile, in the Yueyang Sect, CWN runs through the courtyard and calls out to the oldest disciple of the Qing Feng Sword Sect - Wei Xu, who is standing with Zhu Yaozhi. WX tells CWN not to be so loud, because they are not in the mountains now, and Brother Zhu will laugh at them. ZY says, smiling suspiciously, that he wouldn't have the nerve to laugh at their lover CWN. He adds that he is jealous and turns to WX and wants to whisper something in his ear, but CWN opposes this, saying that ZY should not spread rumors. WX warns CWN to behave appropriately. ZY tells WX not to worry, because lately he and CWN have been getting along great. Hearing this, CWN smiles as if he didn't really want to smile. ZY turns to CWN and says that it's too late because his older friend already knows about his great adventures. Looking from the side, it looks like WKX is a cold, cruel leader who doesn't care about the lives and future of the ghosts he leads. LQQ is desperate and even though she is afraid of WKX, she tries to convince him to help LFM. WKX has her own plan and wants to carry it out, but she lets LQQ check if her master is alive. WKX still can't come to terms with what he found out about ZZS and drowns his sorrows in alcohol. Meanwhile, the young people in the Yueyang sect are acting quite freely, ZY decides to tease CWN in a rather unsophisticated way in front of his older brother from the sect. He probably wants to embarrass him a bit that he entered into some kind of relationship with a girl and this may affect his future. CWN is a bit lost, because on the one hand he wanted to save GX, and on the other he showed himself as a fairly free-living young man. And he can't quite cope with it.

qin-furen, whose family name does seem to have been qin in shl at least, who keeps rabbits and seems to have been a nurturing presence (unless you hurt her rabbits) and friends with zcl's mom—which is a surprising amount of info but like i wanna know much more about her. she must have died; when? what's the story with her having the same name as her husband? (i personally hc that there's a lot of adopting of your teacher's surname in siji between that and bi xingming and cheng zichen).

then zcl's mom, surname bi—coincidentally (or not?) the same as bi changfeng of siji. she seems to have been in much the same vein as qin-furen. how did she feel about the mess with rong xuan, with zys' dad hurting him to keep him home and out of the battle? was she even there, or did she meet him after, and why did she choose him? did she agree with mirror lake's isolation? was she or zys the one who let zcl run so wild, or was it both—building a home where their children felt able to speak up and to choose what they wanted to do?

zzs' mother, who we know absolutely nothing about; the only proof she exists is that zzs must have been born. but her son was sent away young and her husband died in games of political intrigue and either her birth or marital family was in some way related to the future prince of jin. what were her struggles and choices? what was her tragedy? (bc i can't imagine given her husband's fate and her son's that she lived peacefully even when she lived).

even xiaolian, who's simultaneously babied and having to act like a hostess & support her father, we just don't know how she ended up shouldering all that. her mom is also a blank. and rcq's wife disappears from shl, when she was a thing in tyk, from what i hear.

we DO have some excellent women in shl, i love how central the dept's stories are to the themes of the show, i just keep feeling the urge to fill in those gaps, without having a solid plot ready to hang that impulse on.

I find this discussion really interesting, especially because it is always nice to see people being critical of the media they enjoy. Already wrote some of my feelings in your comments, but I am entering the soap box now to throw out my 2 cents.

Firstly, before I start, I have to mention that I am a big believer that anyone can joke about any subject. I think we should only look at the message of jokes, their meanings, what they transport outside, etc. That's how I judge these things. So yk what I am talking about.

I do think sometimes with the characters, it lands it territory that I disagree with morally. But I also think overcautiousness with jokes, even at the expense at (minority) groups, can be harmful in itself. Because it leads to the othering of those groups in a sense. That may sound counterintuitive because jokes against groups of people - coming from a place of hate and disgust especially - is one of THE tools to other a group. I do think it works the other way around as well.

For example, if you were in a friend group that constantly roasts each other, but for some reason, people are really scared to roast you, excluding you entirely from that dynamic. I think that's how I could explain it best.

So I do think a good handful of smosh characters make fun of ND people, but not all of that is actually bad, in my opinion. Especially when the comedy comes from a place to make fun one oneself/past self, etc.

A good example for jokes at the expenses at groups usually comes from inside said group. Which makes sense. Most of the time the basic respect needed is there, and it comes from a good place. Once someone from the outside does it, the track record becomes worse, but I also don't think we can/should make this a blanket rule. Especially because the inverse can also be true. For example most of the jokes trans people do about trans people on 4chan. They come from the inside and are mostly absolutely vile.

This all is my opinion ofc. People can find more unmoral/ be more uncomfortable with certain jokes. But we do be living in postmodernism, so anything is subjective and an opinion. So I do stand by my opinion. Lol this end paragraph is a mess, I just want people to take my words in good faith that's all :3

I am a terrible judge of what's "acceptable" because as a psychotic person you just have to give up. It is so exhausting to call people out on ableist things and then have them ignore you. Which, I will say both times I've done that in this fandom people were fantastic about it (I even got a post edited, which was very nice and appreciated), but that's so not my prior experience. And even when people listen... I still just got to see how little people even consider the existence of psychotic people for certain jokes to seem okay in the first place. They wouldn't say those things if they thought about the actual humans who experience these things.

Like, there's this one podcast that's my comfort podcast. And the guy does occasionally fall into the kind of humor that can be summarized as "haha this guy is cr*zy" (granted he's grown out of it a bit, but you can still see the remnants of those sensibilities in his work) and like, I've called him out for misusing psychotic on twitter and he was just straight up like "yeah no, not unless *you* have a better word in mind, but I think it's very accurate." And like... Being psychotic is hard enough without giving up things you like. You can't give up stuff from anyone who's ever seen people like you as less than human because that's everyone.

Anyway. That's not about The Chosen. The Chosen very much is fine and just has some implications and subtext I don't love. That's more just me venting. But I feel like personally i don't have the luxury to care about where the lines are and what's acceptable. I wouldn't be able to watch anything and I'd be writing call out posts all day. So I respect your attitude, and I respect people with harsher standards than you as well, and I'm just kinda... Here

Some more Sol meta rambles relating to the various Sols in my IWATEX fic Inevitability

Spoilers referencing some endings and of course, the fic, so uhhh read that first? Also discussion of death.

Xylophone "Zy" is a bit of a thought experiment about timeloops and just how differently/badly things on Vertumna could go. Within Exocolonist itself obviously things can only diverge so much otherwise it'd be impossible to factor everything into the game, but I imagine that, through butterfly effects and little nudges here and there, some of Sol's loops could end up looking very different from how things shake out in the game. There's a number of occasions where Sol 'remembers' things that don't happen or they're unsure are real, some of them apparently very bad; there are probably potential disasters that we never see during an actual playthrough.

Which brings us to Zy, the living embodiment of worst case scenario. They're kind of awkward and gloomy, and when they arrive on Vertumna, things just get worse and worse. Tammy dies and Zy can't shake off the thought that it's their fault, something felt wrong and they ignored it and now Tammy's gone. They withdraw in on themselves, start sneaking out with Dys (they kind of get along with him? but Zy's also really blunt and tactless and probably upsets him sometimes), and then within a couple of years another disaster. They both run afoul of some wildlife, Zy panics and uses their augment, which is a kind of a camouflage, Dys is killed. Zy's turbobanned forever from going out and there's a share of people who blame them for Dys (though Zy probably believes it's more people than it really is). Although Zy does manage to save Hal later on, they are injured in the process and suffer from a permanent eye injury. Cal, pretty much the only friend-adjacent person Zy has left, dies in a geoponics accident thanks to the cultivators straining to their limits to try and solve the famine, which also sees Flulu die.

Zy then remembers what's going to happen with the Stratos being destroyed and as per the fic, it's their breaking point. They manage to blow up the faceless attacking the colony but the explosion brings down the wall and kills Chief Rhett, among others, resulting in massive casualties. Zy wanders off into the wilderness in a self-loathing despair and meets their end.

writing it all out I feel pretty bad for them damn, but that's where you get thinking about worst timelines.

Strawberry "Beep" is the opposite side of the Zy timeloop coin, as in, there must be certain loops where the events that play out are very, very similar, down to the Sol experiencing them being almost exactly the same person (something pretty easily replicated in the game itself). In this case, Beep being very close to another Strawberry, "Straw".

Like it says in the fic, Beep is a tough cookie and an excellent fighter, but not a jerk about it. She's kind of in the middle of loyalty vs rebellion; she'll usually toe the line but there's a competitive streak in her and definite willingness to challenge the status quo. Sometimes in the back of her head she just gets this impression, this idea, that hey maybe she should back off a bit, maybe she shouldn't brag, maybe she should be the bigger person. (and let's be real, kind of a jerk move to gloat about being a powerhouse when your augment is superstrength)

I just find it interesting to consider how much Sol might or might not remember. Maybe now and then there's a loop just like this one, where it's more of a nagging feeling than distinct memories.

Sadly for Beep, being a hero doesn't always pan out, and those consequences are another facet of her.

Strawberry "Straw" was one of my favourite actual playthroughs (though honestly I love all my Sols puts them in a big basket and carries them around like little chickies). She's hard as nails and maximised every red skill, that super strength putting in work. As a kid, she's an absolute hellion with rebellion all the way to the right, someone who helps out with guard and watch duty all the time but frustrates the heck out of Rhett because she's terrible with orders and consistently just does whatever she wants: it works so nobody is allowed to criticise her.

Kom's death hits Straw like a hammer and completely knocks her off her high horse. Without the reality check, Straw would have grown up to be an arrogant jerk, akin to a less cruel Vace. Instead, Straw calms down a lot, realises her own limitations, and puts in some work on herself. She's still not really the greatest people person (bravery 2/3s full is pretty much the extent of her social skills), but her boisterousness comes down a few notches and she's only mostly rebellious instead of full bore stick it to the man.

Technically there are versions of Straw who both destroyed the array and were a colonial hero, but Straw genuinely and truly wants to make things better, and in spite of finding out enough about the array that she could have sabotaged it, she quietly just omits key information and stalls enough that she and Marz are able to pull off their coup and replace Lum. At that stage it's a leadup into a peaceful resolution to the conflict. Instead of being a career soldier, Straw turns towards her botanical interests and becomes prominent in that field. (Straw is significantly smarter than she lets on or wants people to know, in peacetime endings, she gets over that insecurity).

Straw has a lot of good friends amongst the other colonists, including somehow Vace. She broke up him and Nem, but she kind of compartmentalised it as a dislike for seeing Nem with somebody else (Straw having crushed on her for essentially forever). Vace and Straw are competitive, and she doesn't put up with him being pointlessly cruel in front of her, but they're both pretty gung ho people and Straw does cheer on 'badass' stuff and attempt it in turn. Over time (especially when Straw and Nem get together a while after the breakup and she starts to realise how bad Vace's behaviour really was), Straw comes to the conclusion that Vace has got issues and needs help, but it's much later than the in-game therapy arc, because Straw isn't great with this kind of thing and spends a little while hoping he'll just grow out of it (he is in his mid 20s, he is not growing out of it). So yeah Straw gets Vace therapy when he's about 25 and has caused a lot of shit already. (non-therapy Vace friendship is kind of a big oof in ending slides, he just never grows as a person).

Incidentally, arrogant!Straw probably wouldn't have got along with Vace, there'd have been too much push-pull with their relationship, and she'd have started mashing his buttons on purpose sooner or later. Eventually, one of them would have wound up seriously injuring the other; we already know Vace has it in him to attack Sol, and arrogant!Straw is a Sol who would fight back very violently. It would not have ended well in the slightest.

Theories coming in 😵‍💫 Well technically one but I still wanted to talk about it because that one chapter really peeks my interest 🏃🏻‍♀️💨💨

Alright so… we learned that they all have their own roles to play in their group, right?

The first step is Akito:

lighting the fire in the people’s cold hearts which undoubtedly puts him in the leader’s position considering it’s a really important role that involved attracting the townspeople’s attentions again to them.

What I find the most interesting is that, his involves feelings. Why I said that?

Because Akito has trouble expressing his emotions.

In all of his commissioned songs; they are conveyed through his head. Not through his heart. And in all those songs; everything is connected to one’s self-worth. But CR詠ZY, the latest commissioned song is expressed openly.

In this song, he’s no longer shackled down to his emotions and his thoughts. Akito is now learning to let himself loose and allow himself to feel those emotions. Something he has kept buried inside. He is now learning to be free

Now, what theory that came through me?

Well, it involves Touya 🤔

As I mentioned before, they all have their own roles to play in order to surpass Rad Weekend and to go beyond that, they’re gonna have to work on themselves first; gain the skills and then come back stronger as a group. With Akito, it’s singing his heart out. Don’t think of anything, just let go and sing.

With Touya, I have a feeling it has something to do with music. Why? Because in one of the chapters; he mentioned about completing 30% of his task. This task of his kept him awake at night and it is something that was mentioned in one of the area conversation where Touya was been spotted with a bed hair (of course by his partner). If this task of his is related to his sleep schedule to be messed up a bit; then it is possibly him producing music.

Ken could possibly assigned him to produce music/songs for the group and it would make sense! Between the four of them, Touya is the one with music talent, has recently learned to make music as well to help his team and is the one who desires to be a pillar for his group. And who do you think helps him in the process? Souma!!

If Akito’s event, Mita is involved in the picture; one of the three members who joined VBS in events. Then in Touya’s future event, it will be Souma. Everyone thinks that we wouldn’t see him again after Arata’s departure to be in another town but I don’t think that is the case here. We are going to see more of the NPCs taking a couple or some of the chapters to see and learn their side of the story. Which also involves their new goal. We might, even see Arata again. Remember. VBS is moving to town to town, joining power live houses so eventually we might see him in one of them as well. And if not in there, then it’s in the streets.

Red Hood watched the child for a few minutes, waiting until his calls became sobs. He'd known as soon as he saw her that the girl wouldn't survive. Maybe if she'd gotten help sooner, maybe if he'd been faster, then she could've lived to raise this boy. As it stands, though, there's nothing he could do for her.

Dropping down from the roof, loudly so as to not too badly startle the kid, Red Hood found himself crouching at the mouth of the alley.

The kid's head shot up, heterochromatic blue and green eyes staring into the eyes of his helmet fearfully. Tears carved trails through the blood on his face. "Who..?"

"Hey there, kid," he said, the modulator in his helmet scrambling his voice, "Can you tell me your name?"

The kid sniffed. "Jaz-zy said that I should-shouldn't talk to, to strangers."

Ah, Red Hood vaguely remembers Dickie Bird saying something like that just after he was adopted. "If I tell you my name, will you tell me yours? Then we won't be strangers anymore."

The kid considered it for a moment. "O-okay."

Nodding, Red Hood sat crisscross on the floor. "My name's Red Hood."

"That's a stupid name," the kid said, "I'm Danny."

"Alright, Danny, can you tell me what happened?"

Danny's tears started anew. "It's all my fault!" He cried, "All-all my faul-fault!"

Shit. He hadn't dealt with a crying child since his Robin days. "No, no, no! Sh, shh. It's not your fault, sweetie, whatever it was wasn't your fault."

"But, but! If I- if I hadn't gone-one down to the-the lab, then mom and-and dad won't've hurt me, and Jazzy- she won't've helped me!"

Oh. Okay. So, it's a bit worse than he first thought. That's, well, it's a situation he can deal with. Probably. Hopefully. Harley still owes him a favor, so he can probably have her come help. Or maybe Selina? No, 'cause then it'll get back to Bruce.

Danny's cries had turned to sobs now.

Best focus on getting the kid away from here before unwanted attention is drawn. Or unwanted company arrives.

"Danny? Sweetie?" God, he sounds like Mrs. Roberts. "You gotta let go of Jazzy now, okay?"

"No! I'm not, I'm not leaving her!"

"Danny-"

"She's my sister! I'm not leaving her!" The air around them chilled, ice covering the floor beneath the kid as he cried.

Great. The kid's a meta. Just his luck.

"Danny, cariño, she can't come with us."

"I'm not leaving Jazzy!"

Red Hood reached out to grab the kid, his hands numbing from the insane temperature drop, but was stopped by approaching footsteps and a voice.

"Hello?" Harley Quinn called from the mouth of the alley, not yet entering the shadows, "What's goin' on down there?"

"Harley!" Red Hood called. This was better than his plan of just taking the kid away by force. "Danny, sweetie, Harley here's a friend of mine. She's gonna take care of your sister; gonna get her the help she needs, okay? But you can't stay here while she does, okay?

Harley, now coming closer, said, "What're ya draggin' me into here, Red?"

He ignored her, reaching out for Danny again. "C'mon, niño, it's time to go."

A sniff. "Go where?" Danny asked, letting Red Hood pick him up.

And wasn't that the question. "Somewhere safe." As he passed Harley, child in arm, he whispered to her, "Give her a proper burial, yeah?"

Harley nodded slightly, "Ya got it, Red."

"Thanks."

Danny had his accident in the portal, but he didn't have Sam or Tucker with him, and in the aftermath of it, he was both physically and mentally a child of around 7 years, even his memories were altered to be around that age. He was hurting and scared, he didn't know why he was in the basement, Jazz told him not to go in it when their parents weren't there. What Danny doesn't know is that he's in his Ghost Form, and his parents return as Danny was about to leave the Basement.

Danny tried to apologize for being in the basement to his parents, but they shouted at him and saying he was a Ghost. He tried to tell them that he wasn't a Ghost, that he was Danny, their Little Boy, but he was engulfed in pain again, he screamed in pain and was captured by his parents.

He was strapped down to a table and cut open, during the process, he turned human again, his clothes are baggy on his small frame. Jazz had come back from tutoring a student when she heard the screams of Kid Danny in the basement, she rushed to the basement and seen Kid Danny cut open on the table in the basement, she attacked the Fentons, not listening to them saying that it's not Danny anymore but a Ghost.

Jazz had managed to kill the Fentons in her desperate bid to help Danny, but because she was younger and less inexperienced, she too has bad wounds and is bleeding in a few places. She held Kid Danny in her arms, who is bandaged up, going to the attic for Danny's old clothes, she slowly got him dressed, the little boy trembling in her arms the entire time, she knew she couldn't make it far with how much blood she lost, so she decided to take the portal, hoping it would bring them somewhere safe.

Jazz and Danny ended up in a alley in a unknown city, but before that, Danny remembers being in a all green building with a man in a purple robe looking at them, one that feels very gloomy, and that's when Jazz collapsed, she lost too much blood and is dying, Danny is frantically trying to get his big sister up after he got out from under her, all the while a shadow watches them from above.

"Jazzy! Get up, Jazzy!"

DAY 2: Can Love Survive After Heartbreak?

Have you ever thought about whether love can come back after a tough breakup? Last night, I watched a movie that made me think about that question. It shows what happens when two people who used to be in love meet again after many years. The story makes you wonder if love, once broken, can ever be the same, or if it’s better to move on. It really got me thinking about how life sometimes gives us another chance, even when we don’t know if we’re ready to face the past.

So, this is for me:

Unburied - Absolutely not. He's running. No questions asked.

ZY - He'd play it cool, but as soon as it lunges, he's screaming.

Dano - Now, he's used to so-called "pests", so I would imagine he'd observe with curious interest. All while keeping a respectful distance.

YJ - He's scared, but he's not running. He's gotta stand up for himself against something, right? If given the opportunity, he'd give it a little pet. Just a little one.

Gotham - Oh, he is interested. He'd be like Steve Irwin (rip), it's like he's got a natural affinity for this. When the hell did he learn to handle snakes??

BTAA - Another screamer. He doesn't do snakes.

Arkham - When you live in a literal sewer, you come across all sorts of creatures. Opossums, rats, snakes, so he might just start talking to it? That's what he'd normally do.

BTAS - Another respectful observer. He's not going to pick it up. He's going to let it move on its merry way to its next destination.

Telltale - He's picking it up, and bringing it toward you, "Oh, are you scared? Or are you afraid of what I might encourage within the mind of this snake?" Wtf does that even mean?
