Okay imagine this...

It’s the classic Firelord & Ambassador dynamic, Zuko and Sokka are keeping their relationship on the DL (even from family, cause secrets do spill and it’s easier just to keep it in), and Zuko’s arriving for a visit to the Southern Water Tribe. Sokka’s only been home like a month but to those lovestruck fools it feels like centuries.

Anyways the first thing these idiots do is exchange a kunik, which is very cute- EXCEPT (and here’s where the idiot part comes in) they do it in sight of Katara, who knows damn well the significance of such a gesture.
