Nicobaster household!! I did a bit more for the Godswap AU nicobaster we had for rarepair week.

I did a sketchie of Aphrodite Nico. He has Drew as a reluctant older sister figure (she secretly love it tho.)

Nico has the habit of wearing intricate jewelry on his finger and twirling it in his hair to flirt and it gets stuck *facepalm* and he has to get Drew to help him untangle it

Nico: dreeeewwww helb it’s stuck 😢

Drew: so who were you twirling your hair for anyhow

Nico: oh~ you know that son of Themis whose suing all the Olympians?

There’s also Bianca (who is still a daughter of hades) who is convinced (correctly) that Nico is a reincarnation of her little brother and then she and Drew have a “he’s MY brother” war (hence the silly little sketch on the bottom by @thomas-life ) but don’t worry Nico just collects older sisters so…also Bianca doesn’t join the huntresses so she and Drew can bond over their mutual love of Nico (and then eachother). So there’s another rarepair for ya!

I also did some more Themis Al doing lawyer things!!

I saw a pin about god!percy and now I’m just sitting here thinking about Percy picking godhood over making other gods pay child support but not because he WANTS to be a god, but because he decided that if they won’t be good parents he’s going to be everyone’s dad.

And anyway, yea that’s how god!percy became the god of parenting or demigods or something and took over from Mr. D as camp director and just hangs out with demigods all the time.

K, but one of those VR kids was Nico. Think about it, they probably don't have an actor for him yet but we all know Nico is there. Solution? Put a bunch of kids in full VR gear and when they cast the actor, have him wear the same outfit for the Lotus scenes.

PJO HC's

A lot of the Big Three's kids have characteristics from their parents domains. Not necessarily something like a sacred animal but things that might be commonly seen in that domain.

Poseidon kids can sometimes be born with scales or webbed fingers and toes. Percy has a patch of scales between his shoulder blades that fade as they travel down his back. He can also sing very well and mimic noises easily. (fish, sirens)

Hades kids are hard headed. Literally, Hazel once ran into a wall and took a chunk of brick with her (rams). Both her and Nico's eye become reflective if they are in the dark for long periods of time. Fangs

Zues kids build of static shock like it's nothing and their hair will randomly stand on end. Have very intense glares and their nails grow very strong and are naturally sharp. (eagles).

Many people compare the Big Three kids to cryptids because as they get used to their powers and their godly blood, these characteristics become more prominent.

I really hate it when people act like it’s a crime that I/a lot of other Greek myth lovers think that PJO/HOO/TOA aren’t good Greek myth adaptations.

People have different opinions, and I’m all for that! I chose to be a fucking Ares stan, I’m use to having “weird” opinions. But, it’s really silly to get like ACTUALLY mad at someone for having a different opinion then you.

I personally think that the PJO franchise fell into the same thing that a lot of popular media does to the Greek gods, and they are as followings.

Ares is big, scary, evil, misogynistic dude bro

Aphrodite is a hoe!

Underworld gods are mean and scary oOoOh

And to all the people that are like “Hades got better!” Not by much!! Still a sucky ass dad :(

The other Greek gods ALSO got reduced like, they painted Zues and Hera as one dimensional evil villains, Athena as this cool person who is better at war than Ares, and every else in the standard ones!

And I’m not saying that you can’t like this series, go ahead and love all your heart out! I personally love some of the characters Rick made (my grievances with some characters would take up a whole two posts).

Also if you are trying to get into Greek mythology, and your learning through those series,I’m so so SO proud of you for learning about other peoples culture/history. Just make sure to do some read historical texts as well.

But, if you read the series and think your a myth expert, chances are you probably aren’t. It’s ok to learn from those things, thats how I got into this! But, please don’t act like you know more than someone who devoted their time to be good at it.

Just please, for the love of all that is good in this life, don’t fight Greek myth fans for pointing out the flaws in the PJO myths, and don’t fight us for not thinking it’s the best retelling
