early mornings with roronoa zoro

a/n:i'm officially done with my finals and the first semester of my junior year of college!!!! finals season went surprisingly well (minus a presentation i absolutely bombed but let's not talk about my cunty ass professor now) but now i can finally write fanfic guilt free!!!

nothing but fluff here 💗

you've grown used to the white noise that is zoro's snoring. his warm body lays entangled with yours, strong muscles keeping a firm grip on you. it's not often you get to see the swordsman overtaken with such relaxation. the temptation to softly rub the space between his brows with your fingers, gently smoothing the creases out overtook you.

zoro's eyes, heavy with sleep, barely open and he grumbles in response to your touch. letting you know he's awake with a soft groan and pulling your body even closer to him. your gentle voice greets him "morning, zo." and with all his strength, he grumbles in response, attempting to return your sentiment "mornin.."

you can feel one of his hands move from your back up to your hair, tenderly playing with it. despite how long you've been with him, zoro maintains his cool guy persona fairly often, so his sleepy affectionate side is one you hold near and dear to your heart. with his eyes still closed, he presses soft kisses onto your cheeks. mumbles of praise and affection fall from his lips barely above a whisper, but the intention comes through loud and clear.

as much as it broke your heart to step away from your cuddly tired boyfriend, you were almost at your breaking point "zo... i have to pee.. can you let me go?" when you were met with nothing but silence, you thought he had fallen back asleep and tried to wiggle free from his grasp. but as his arms tightened around your body, his voice gruff and low finally responses "10 more minutes... take it or leave it.." being wrapped in his warmth, your will to say no instantly dissipated. "10 more minutes... then i seriously have to get up." the soft smirk on his lips knew you were lying as he makes himself even more comfortable against your embrace, sleep overtaking his body once again.
