A concept for a tabletop character for this set of campaigns: After the Fall
Basically, it’s a Fallout-type universe where the nukes happened in the 80s and the mutants were animals that became people instead of humans becoming ghouls. Also, there are robot vending machines fighting the Cola Wars. It’s really neat, and I would absolutely love to play a game of it, although I don’t know how I would. If anyone has any idea on how to find a group to play this specific world with, I would really appreciate it. I’m trying to figure it out on my own, too.
Fritz is a squirrel Zoonoid who’s a crackshot with a pistol, and also an airhead who is absolutely terrible with social cues. She will absolutely ask why you stink, when your parents died, and whether you’re silent to someone because you hate them--right in front of the other person’s face. Not because she’s cruel, she is just totally unaware. That’s something she would need to work on as the campaign goes.

Age 805* -- January -- Satan City
... But of course, that’s not what actually happened.
As to the secret history, well, that’s important, isn’t it?
After all, even scum know better than to fight someone in the middle of Satan City-- especially if there aren’t lookouts. There was too much presence here. Not just of Shadows, but of actual Heroes, too.
It was supposed to be a quick intimidation job. Maybe they quietly file him into a car. Maybe someone finds him in the bottom of a river in a month. You know, the usual.
Instead? Instead the bastard starts showing psychic powers and weird shit. Normally not enough to deter them, but then he seemed... Contrite, almost. Willing to play along.
Since he was willing to play ball with them, despite the capability to leave them all a smear on the floor, why not play ball with him? Sure, the boss might not like it, but learning who had actually mugged his daughter would be a prize! Especially if he were in hospital or prison. That would make things simple!
But then more people started showing up...
This was bad. Two weird blue guys and a couple zoonoids show up and all of a sudden it’s become a criminal convention.
Make Hito want to get a little violent.
One thing was for sure.
Before this blew up into an all-out shooting match, Hokuto had to draw them out of the city.
Luckily, the way that went was really simple! They all seemed to be here for Hokuto. So! It was time to take the most obvious option.
Run.
Hokuto had two advantages at this point-- one was that they didn’t know how fast Hokuto was. The other was that they had the caphouse and the jetbike, and they, decidedly, did not.
Thus, it was no trouble for to get a rolling start--
But it sure was a lot of people behind Hokuto now.
This could be a problem. Especially if--
Hokuto gasped. No time for silly questions like “how had those two blue guys gotten in front of me” or “oh my god how am i going to beat them!?”
It was time to leave Satan City. It was a good time. Hokuto had just gotten off work.
So instead of trying to ram them, Hokuto weaved between them and kept going.
The two Time Breakers looked at each other quizzically, then at the retreating jetbike in the distance.
“You know, this was a huge risk as it stands. If they come to investigate--”
“They’ve got their own problems, trust me.”
“They better. We keeping the gang?”
“Of course we are. Let’s keep moving, quickly. If we can’t eliminate enough early adopters, this won’t work.”
“This takes road takes us out of the city.”
“... I’m okay with that. Makes them even easier to spot.”
There are few places as miserable to fight a battle in as a rice paddy in winter. It’s cold. It’s wet. The water is hip-deep and as liable to kill you as the enemy. It’s full of, not to put too fine a point on it, shit.
But the raised platforms beside them were good enough. Maybe furrows wouldn’t be so bad here.
Time to be done with running-- at least for now. He brought the bike to a halt and stood astride it, still, raising one hand, readying power.
“-- You know, if you want my advice, I’d say to head towards the farmhouse. It’ll make things more deniable.”
Hokuto did a double take. This was a girl in-- in purple and pinks-- who seemed to surge with power, clear as a bell. “Wh--”
“C’mon. We still got time until they show up!”
The feeling as they ran together was oddly nostalgic. She stretched and yawned, waiting for her opponents.
Hokuto sweated it. He was in. In normal street clothes, the kind he didn’t mind getting soiled in a kennel. (They were also ones his mother had given him. These two facts were related.)
“Hm, here’s good.” The blue-skinned assholes arrived first, followed by the rest. “Oh hey! Just who I was looking for! You two are in so much trouble--”
The brief surge in power left Hokuto breathless. The girl was a red-pink streak across the field, the thunder of her passage heard more often than she was seen.
In the meantime... Hokuto had his own problems.
... Well. That was easier than he’d feared. “-- Hey, wait! Wait-- will I see you again?”
The girl laughed. “Don’t worry. You’ll see me around often enough when you’re in trouble. And-- hey. Take care of yourself, okay?” She winked, and then was gone.
Well, at least he didn’t have much explaining to do.
... In fact... If he played his cards right, this could be a better outcome than he’d thought of at first... Eh, nah, things were too weird. Just make them explain themselves.
