Hey Slasher Sisters! Another movie review is coming in hot this Friday! This week I tuned into some Italian horror (aka, the horror of my people ❤) with this Giallo cult classic by Lucio Fulci -- Zombie. This film had a lot of positives to it, but wait until you hear about the moment that it absolutely blew my mind! Read below to find out what scene made me drop my jaw 👻

'Last Sanctuary' (1979 film)
In "Last Sanctuary", the quiet life in the Shady Oaks Rest Home is suddenly turned upside down when a zombie pandemic spreads among the elderly. Margaret, a spirited but brave-hearted octogenarian, suddenly finds herself embroiled in a fight for survival against a horde of undead elderly.

Margaret, with her wisdom and determination, becomes the focal point for a diverse group of survivors within the hospice. Together, they try to organise and resist against the zombies, protecting the remaining elderly and looking for a way to escape the inferno.

As the zombie horde continues to advance, the survivors must face not only the threat of the living dead, but also the internal conflicts and difficulties that arise in such an extreme situation. Margaret, with her life experience and ability to keep up morale, becomes an inspiration to all, proving that age is not a limit when it comes to courage and resilience.
The film alternates moments of tension and fast-paced action with moments of humour and touching reflections on life and old age. As Margaret and the other survivors fight for their existence, the film explores themes such as the importance of empathy, the strength of community and the will to carry on despite adversity.
"Last Sanctuary" is an epic survival adventure that highlights the determination and resilience of the elderly, demonstrating that age is not a limiting factor when it comes to fighting for life. The story of Margaret and the other elders reminds us that humanity and hope can survive even in the darkest times.
