I was rewatching parts of 3B s1 back in July of 2021, and came up w/an idea: AU where the science fair is actually for all the high schools in the Arcadia Oaks school district (aka just the High and the Academy). Krel still brings extraterrestrial tech, but then he sees that Douxie and Zoe brought a robot (aka they promised to give Archie 3 cans of the really special gourmet cat food if he pretends to be a robot for them). Krel decides to try to befriend Douxie and Zoe because thankfully there are at least 2 humans who are more creative than just baking soda volcanos

(Bonus: Krel and Douxie end up falling in love during the time loop but don't remember)

Chapter I of "Arcane Heterize" a Trollhunters, Arcane Order fanfiction.

Author's Note : Before reading part 1 of my fanfiction about the Arcane order (which are characters from the trollhunters series). I wanted to warn you about several things about this fanfiction. First of all, I don't think I'll insert a ship during this story. I know people are tired of reading erotic fanfiction with ships (me too obviously). So this fanfiction won't contain this HOWEVER for Bellroc's past which would surely be revealed in the next chapters, it will surely have original characters since there "must be" people in their past who made them hate the humans. Secondly, I strongly advise you to go read my previous post before reading the first chapter, it's kind of a summary of this fanfiction. Third, I was wondering if I should continue posting on Tumblr or create an account on AO3 to post this fanfiction ? What do you think ? Is this a better idea idea ? Or maybe both.

The Arcane Order, a trio of primordial demigods who wished to maintain balance between magic and mortals. Even though in reality, their actions only caused suffering to humanity and magical beings... well yes... that's what we know about them. But in this alternate universe, the trio of demigods are different from the ones we know. Not completely... Bellroc is still the hothead of the three, Skrael is still the sarcastic pessimist of the trio, and Nari is still their only remaining ray of sunshine who always sees the bright side of things. Every day Nari comes up with a new idea to convince the other two that humans aren't so bad. Of course Skrael and Bellroc always try to question her opinion on humans but despite this she does not let herself be discouraged. Bellroc had even almost managed to convince Nari about humans, by saying : "Aren't they the same ones who are trying to raze your trees and pretty plants in order to acquire ever more polluting territories ?".

That day, Nari thought she was sinking into despair and pessimism for a moment. She looked around her and saw humans throwing trash on the ground, humans trampling plants without any qualms, factories that polluted the air and made the air less and less breathable. But she has also seen humans protecting nature, humans defending nature against those who exploit it, humans trying to save our beautiful blue planet and its breathtaking oceans and natural spaces. And for Nari, that was enough to have hope, for a better future. Skrael was always bringing up statistics about the pollution of the earth and its consequences to Nari, only because he couldn't stand her optimism. Skrael is a very pragmatic and rational person, he often tries to make his peers listen to reason. He doesn't really have any bad intentions, he just thinks it's about stating facts and nothing else.

Just today, he had done an internet search on his computer that he almost never leaves except if it's to read a book, and he found an 'interesting' video for Nari. As he entered Nari's room, he saw Nari dressing in a strange green florist's apron. He analyzed her from head to toe, she was wearing boots ! Boots ! He thought outraged. He frowned when he saw the woolen hat she wore to hide her antlers.

-"What is the meaning of this... pitiful attire ?" He hissed in a tone full of disdain.

-"Please... do not tell anything to Bellroc... but..." She retorted nervously.

Skrael quickly glanced her up and down before raising an non existent eyebrow.

-"But what ?"

-"But I work in a plant shop as a florist !" She said quickly without articulating as if she had always been waiting for this moment.

The ice demigod standing before her was speechless, he was opening his mouth then closing it then opening it again. He couldn't find the words. But he quickly pulled himself together, swallowed before adopting a firm and assertive tone.

-"Don't you think I didn't already know what you were doing behind me and Bellroc's back ? Do you think I'm as gullible as the hothead ? You see, my dear, you can't hide anything from me, you always go out on the same days at the same time and quite quickly as if you didn't want to be seen... by us."

Nari's eyes widen, of course yes, she knew that Skrael was the most observant and intelligent of the three, but she didn't think he suspected anything.

-"I... I know that... yes..."

-"Well, what are you waiting for to offer me interesting and tempting suggestions so that I don't tell the whole truth to the mighty and fiery Bellroc ?" He said in a low and mocking tone.

WARNINGS: death, murder, gun violence

1930’s:

it’s just money.

they never hurt anyone. not like all those other outlaws who kidnap and maim and murder for fun or clout or because something goes wrong. no. they’re organized, precise. they get in and get out. hell, most people don’t even know they were privy to a robbery until they see it in the headlines the next day.

it’s just money.

they don’t take chances, either. if there’s even the slightest doubt in the plan, they scrap it and move on. no use dying for a little thrill.

except that’s what’s happening right now, isn’t it? they messed up somewhere and the local sherif got tipped off somehow, and now douxie’s bleeding out all over the leather interior of his prized v8 and zoe’s frantically trying to put pressure on the bullet hole in his chest without running the car off the road.

the hotel comes into view and she slams on the gas, desperate to put more distance between her and the officers on their tail. if she can get them to their room, she can barricade them in and negotiate some sort of deal.

yes. yes, that’s all there is to it.

they never hurt anyone.

there’s no porte-cochère at the entrance, just a magnificent marble staircase that offers very little in the way of cover. it doesn’t matter. zoe brings the car to a skidding stop right at the base and somehow manages to pull her partner out of it before the first siren can even be heard wailing on the drive.

zoe supports douxie’s weight the best she can as she hauls him up the steps, and she’s starting to think she can pull this off when something small and angular and an unnaturally pale shade of blue darts across her path.

she goes down with a cry and douxie, well, he goes with her.

he never gets back up.

zoe sobs against his still chest, begging him not to leave her even as the light in his hazel eyes – once, so bright and full of life – fades away forever.

she doesn’t want to let go of him. not now, not ever. but he wouldn’t want her to give up, would he? no. no, he’d want her to keep going. to run. to live. so, she does. she lurches to her feet and stumbles her way up to the top of the staircase, reaches out…

the first bullet catches her in the right shoulder, the second her left hip.

pain erupts across her back as she falls through the door into the grand foyer. but she keeps going, clawing her way forward as blood stains the tiled floor crimson.

she makes it halfway to the elevator before giving in.

no use dying for a little thrill.

I was listening to "Once Upon a December" back in August 2021 and thinking about the fact that Douxie's canonically a con artist so...

Anastasia AU where the coup happens while the Tarron twins are 8. Their parents are killed, but the twins escape the initial carnage. However, they're separated at the last moment. Aja is raised by the resistance burdened by responsibility and grief, while an amnesiac Krel grows up at an orphanage.

Ten years later on the twins' birthday, Aja is finally coronated as the true queen, even though it's really just a figurehead position and her true power is in the military strategy and diplomacy she's been learning since her childhood. Having not yet given up on seeing her brother again, she puts out a reward for if anyone finds Krel and brings him to her

(To actually make the AU work, let's just say that 1. either Akiridon royals only have two arms or just all the Akiridions are human 2. Krel's a rather common name for boys his age since it's pretty impossible to shorten it any more, unlike how Anastasia could be shortened to Anya... or maybe (2023 me thinks) I could instead make it so that Krel is not his full name but the nickname his sister called him)

Krel spends his 18th birthday officially moving all his things (which is to say, not much aside from two changes of clothes, a wrench, a screwdriver, maybe a serrator, and a trinket or two from his family) into the apartment he shares w/his boyfriend+his boyfriend's familiar and telling his boss at the factory that he's changed his living address. (Douxie and Krel grew up together at the orphanage, though Douxie got kicked out first since he was both a couple years older as well as a thief). Making ends meet is a little tough even between him and Douxie working multiple jobs, playing music on street corners, and Douxie's less-than-legal schemes, but it's a life Krel's mostly happy with. Or at least, he is until Douxie comes in with the recent (not really bc Morando has censors) news about Aja's search for her brother and a new scheme: they pass off Krel as the Lost Tarron Prince and then make away with the money

Chapter II of "Arcane Heterize" a Trollhunters, Arcane order fanfiction.

Author's note: I forgot to give some information about where the trio of demigods lived. They live in their flying castle that we all know, the terrifying castle from the original series. BUT their castle has one more feature, a feature that is in the popular studio ghibli film, Howl's Moving Castle. They reside in the castle, but the magic door allows them to be in multiple locations simultaneously. There is a small dial near the doorknob, and where the door leads to when opened depends on what color the dial is turned to.

-"Well, what are you waiting for to offer me interesting and tempting suggestions so that I don't tell the whole truth to the mighty and fiery Bellroc?" Skrael said in a low and mocking tone.

It was certain that Skrael would ask for something in return, he was not a charitable soul by nature, he always wanted something in exchange for his silence or his services.

-"Fine, what do you want?" Nari retorts with a sigh.

-"It's up to you to decide what you can offer me in exchange for my silence."

She thought for a long time before having a brilliant idea. She knew that Skrael seemed to have developed some sort of passion for his computer, sometimes he would spend entire nights in front of a screen...

-"What if I bought you more hardware that will go with your computer?" She grinned knowing he wouldn't say no... at least that's what she hoped.

The taller one raised his eyebrows and shoulders, his expression showing indifference.

-"Yeah... why not... but what else?"

-"What else?"

-"Yeah, what else?" He snorted, growing impatient.

-"Whatever you want! Now I really have to go, otherwise I might be late for work..."

She picked up her woolen tote bag and quickly headed towards the exit of her room. Knowing when she would return, Skrael let her go without a word, not bothering to hold her back. After a few minutes, Nari had reached her workplace exactly on schedule. Her friend and coworker, Douxie Casperan, greeted her as she walked into the plant shop.

-"Hey, Nari! is it me or you didn't get there before me for once?" He said it in a playful manner.

The litte magic plant lady laughed nervously in response before answering him :

-"Yes, I experienced a minor unforeseen circumstance..."

-"Let me guess... your siblings?"

She winced slightly when her friend said the word "siblings", it was a lie to prevent him from questioning Bellroc and Skrael's identities. She only responded to her friend with a smile and a nod, not wanting to dwell on the subject of her "siblings". Nari was aware that her coworker was a wizard because, as a demigod.dess of nature, she could sense the magic brimming from his soul. Was this someone she trusted? Sure, but she wanted to talk to Bellroc and Skrael about it before she told him she was a demigod.dess herself. She shook her head, putting all of that aside, and went to water the plants for sale. Puzzled by his friend's strange attitude, Douxie raised an eyebrow, but he didn't ask any more questions and continued working.

After spending a considerable amount of time in the woods, Bellroc had just arrived back at the castle. They looked into Skrael's room and saw him reading a rather odd book in his chair, but when they went to check on Nari, they couldn't find her anywhere. So they returned to Skrael's room and asked him where Nari was.

-"Hm? She must be in a parc or something." Skrael responded with a caustic tone.

Bellroc snarled, annoyed at the scathing tone of their peer. However, they doesn't say anything and chooses to wait for the plant demigod.dess in the main hall of the castle.

When Nari returned to the castle, she wasn't expecting to run into Bellroc. Luckily for her, she had placed her florist's apron in her tote bag as a precaution.

-"Oh? Hi, Bellroc... did you have a good day?" She asked Bellroc, glancing out of the corner of her eye at Skrael who had just entered the room with a mischievous smile.

With his index finger on his lips, the ice demigod, who was hovering just behind the largest of the three, indicated that he had no intention of disclosing her secret. Skrael received a nod from Nari, and Bellroc turned to frown at him.

-"Be aware that I will not put up with you keeping anything from me, and I will eventually find out." They said this in a menacing manner, then left the room after glaring at them.

They didn't say anything until the fire element was far enough away to hear them.

-"Thank you, I-"

-"Well, what did you bring me?" He cut her off before she could even finish her sentence.

-"Nothing..."

-"Are you kidding me? We had a deal."

-"S-sorry... I didn't have time, I promise next time I won't forget..."

Skrael sighed and rolled his eyes, before he turned on his heel and responded:

-"Fine, try not to forget it next time." He said in an exasperated tone then he left, probably to his quarters.

After failing at her task, Nari felt a little bad and made the decision to leave the castle and return to the town. She would never have imagined that one day she would be the one to venture into the town in search of a technology store. Usually she went out to buy plants or go to work, so she had no idea where the tech store was. Still walking straight, she looked around and noticed a store called "Hex Tech". She entered the store, which appeared to be the only tech store around. Inside, she discovered a young woman with short pink hair who appeared to work at the store. She went up to her, but the counter between them quickly held her back, primarily due to her diminutive size. To avoid being completely hidden by the counter, she remained slightly set back.

-"Hello, how can I help you?" Asked the young woman, a little destabilized by Nari's small size.

-"Hello, is this a tech store ?"

The pink hair woman held back a laugh before answering:

-"No, here we repair all types of electronic devices. So... I guess you have nothing to repair."

Just as the plant goddess opened her mouth to respond, her friend Douxie, who had just walked into the store, interrupted her.

-"Nari? What are you doing here?"

hi hi hi i drew these a little bit ago but i was inspired by the conversation i had with @stuck-in-arcadia about a toa greek mythology au so i drew out some ideas!

i decided it would be fun to use alternative names for some of the more well known gds, esp since they suggested douxie be a son of kronos and i thought it would be fun if he was hades without actually calling him hades lol.

i may draw some more of my ideas, but these are just concepts and not set in stone for anything ✨

Hello! I love reading your story! Here are my questions for Mirrored Convictions.

When Claire learns the truth, how will she take it? Will she still want to date Jim?

How will Steve and Eli find out about Jim? And how would they react to Jim being related to Gummar separately?

When the Arcane Order attempts to recruit Jim, what will his answer be? And will they attempt to control him if he says no?

What's Douxie and Zoe's reaction to learning Barabra is Barverra? And will they still side with Jim since he didn't know?

What will the Nunez's and Nana's reaction to learning about magic be, and will it be Claire and Toby they find it out from or Barverra?

During Morgana's attempt to recruit Jim, will she still be possessing Claire?

Hi, happy to know that you enjoy it!

Claire won't abandon Jim even though the truth will be shocking to her initially. Besides, they will be dating by that point.

Steve and Eli will find out during their investigation of the shapeshifting creeps and initially will think that Jim is one of those (which won't be that far from the truth). Jim will be reluctant to tell them everything at first, so they'll find out about everything else later when it will come to dealing with Gunmar. However, both of them will lack the context to truly understand why Jim's relation to Gunmar is such a big deal.

Oh, this one is a major spoiler territory. Let's say that one will end in a huge mess, Jim will make a really questionable choice after everything ended, and Merlin will only survive because Claire will teleport him into some dumpster.

Douxie and Zoe will be shocked that they both have missed the possibility. They'll remain on Jim's side though, because they have bonded with him by then. 

They will learn from someone else as both Claire and Toby would prefer to keep their families away from the danger, and Barbara will be absent then. The reaction will be close to the canon one, though.

Morgana will try to recruit Jim after possessing Claire - so, yep, not a good way to earn some trust points.
