The Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Mokele-Mbeme is an Mythical-type Devil Fruit that allows the user to transform into a Mokele-Mbeme hybrid and a full Mokele-Mbeme at will.

The major strength of this fruit is that it allows the user to turn into a Mokele-Mbeme, a very large and heavy-bodied sauropod dinosaur from the Congo Legends, granting them an immense boost to their size and bulk. I'm not sure if I made a post on this before. I probably have. but I can't stop thinking about how Big Mum got her devil fruit and the implications that brings. Because she didn't eat the fruit she ate the PERSON and gained those abilities, so does that imply that when one eats a devil fruit. They BECOME said fruit rather then the fruit becoming a part of you. Because is that's the case I feel this brings a new layer to the conversation of Zoan's and the fact that when awakened they absorb the personality of the person

This also brings up the existence of living weapons Vegapunk created using devil fruits. as they are obviously shown to be LIVING. the state of intelligence in them is... up for debate. how much is knowledge how much is trained command is something we don't know but these DO imply that devil fruits are LIVING THINGS which brings up so many questions...

Vegapunk states that while they are possibly created by the dreams of people and hope, they are UNATURAL and thus loathed by nature itself and dragged down by the ocean.

while I'm not sure about the other dimension thing myself, I do think the nature of devil fruits and how GOOD they are should be brough up into question. If devil fruits are the dreams of people form thousands of years ago. why, when awakened, does the person loose the personality? Do they simply become the embodiment of the dream? or something else entirely.

Take Vegapunks words with a grain of salt, as we do not have all the pieces about devil fruits or where they even come from. they could have been called something else completely before the blank century. But I do think there might be more to them then meets the eye. And personally? I find that FACINATING

Yeah, like just on Amazon Lily alone we saw a ton of bizarre mushrooms, one of which Luffy interestingly enough even recognized

So some of these mushrooms aren't exclusively found on Amazon Lily, some might be native to other islands too (possibly even outside the Grand Line- like I'm assuming the only place Luffy would've found this mushroom in would've been back at Dawn Island in East Blue)

Now unfortunately, the first thing that comes to my mind when thinking about mushrooms in One Piece is the Body Parasite Mushroom, the one that makes mushrooms start growing from the body of whoever ate it. And, y'know, that scene where Marguerite and Sweetpea are washing Luffy after having removed the mushrooms from him, only to discover one more "strange mushroom" in his crotch that kept on stretching and wouldn't come off. And all of that is just giving me this cursed mental image of young adult Croc discovering this mushroom and having one of those formative moments that would leave a crack on his egg and/or accidentally discovering packing dfjghsgkhdsjfg

Jokes aside, mushroom foraging really does suit Croc just as much as farming suits Mihawk. Oda did describe both of them as being "tired of living" so their hobbies being very mellow makes sense.

I think it's quite an interesting prompt because things could go very badly.

X Drake awakening is devil fruit could result in him going berserk in his (even more powerful) Allosaurus form. Which would be terrifying. And even if he keeps control, he could be struggling to keep a clear mind. Which would also be dangerous.

It is also stated somewhere that zoan DF appear to almost have a "will of their own." So that's would be cool to explore as well 👀

I wonder if some zoan DF users consciously refuse to awaken, to avoid those risks. Because there's some very powerful and experimented ones that don't seem to be awakened, despite having their powers for many decades. Like Marco, for example.

King 👑

He felt more powerful as he was pretty young when he got his fruit. He does eat a lot of medium rare meat ever since he got his fruit and he barely eats anything else.

Queen👑

He got way more relaxed when he got his fruit abilities and that’s why he gained a lot of weight but he doesn’t mind it at all. He did develop a sweet tooth over time too, something he didn’t have before.

He loves to nap all the time during the day but at night, he’s wide awake. Since he got his fruit, he only eats seafood and nothing else, he gets really sick if he even tries.
