The funny thing about our monkey minds is that we are rather easily influenced by other monkey minds. I am still hoping to be that 100th monkey that brings about world peace through meditation but that's another story...now back to this post...a couple of days ago whilst going through the many thousands of posts with the hashtag #StripDownAsana I came across someone who quoted Tom Sawyer by Rush. Having a disease like Celiac can really stink sometimes. I had to go gluten-free about four years ago and while it has brought out the chef in me (lots more home cooked meals when you're a Celiac) one thing that is ever prevalent is the risk of cross-contamination. I am one of the lucky Celiac's in that I can have NO EXPOSURE to wheat, oat (which doesn't contain gluten but at the molecular level it is reminiscent of gluten), barley, rye or malt! Well last night I made a great chicken parmesan dinner and was looking forward to the one leftover piece for today's lunch. Wouldn't you know it, I cross-contaminated the bread I used for my sandwich! So for today's mantra for #TheMeditationChallenge with host @zk.yoga I am all about the knowledge that this too shall pass (and I might even lose some weight)!
