What's some stuff you're really hoping to see in Jedi 3 (either narratively or gameplay wise)?
Oh I'm so glad you asked this 🙌 Because I have THOUGHTS.
Gonna put everything under the cut so this doesn't clog up the feed with a wall of text (whoops.) Some of these ideas I hope to create concept art for, after I replace/fix my very cranky thirteen-year-old tablet. Anyway let’s start with gameplay!
Gameplay!
Maintaining Cal's abilities: Survivor handled this beautifully by keeping many of the skills learned in Fallen Order, instead of undoing Cal's growth from the first game. I think it'll be trickier to keep this momentum into Jedi 3 (the skill tree has gotten so large!) but story reasons could push Cal towards new types of abilities instead of bloating the current options.
More synergy between the lightsaber stances: I like all the stances in Survivor and it'd be A) disappointing to lose any of them, but B) overwhelming to add MORE combat styles. Being able to flow between the stances more fluidly would be fun though, with specific combos unlocked depending on which two are active together. Now if Merrin lets Cal borrow her knife-staff and he puts his lightsaber on the end... MAGICK SABER PIKE GO.
New or adapted movement mechanics: Maybe the ascension cable is replaced with a force ability (Force Ascend or Force Leap for an extra vertical boost?) or is "upgraded" to connect between two anchors, letting Cal create his own temporary ziplines.
Replayable missions: This could be explained in-game with a Force Tear or Cal's own interactive echoes. But I'd love the option to experience story missions and boss fights again post-game.
Customization!
This is a bonus section because Merrin should get new outfits. Haven't decided how to make it part of gameplay yet, stay tuned.
Cal's cosmetics in Survivor are mostly cool, some just funny, but overall a huge improvement from Fallen Order (yes, even though we miss all the poncho designs). For Jedi 3 I'd love to see more story-centric cosmetics that tie into the communities and people Cal has met along his journey. A Legacy outfit (incorporating pieces from his three Jedi masters), an Anchorite-inspired outfit (with arm tattoos), a bounty hunter outfit (the prize after defeating the Brood), etc. Maybe a Bogling outfit? No not made from Boglings; it looks like a Bogling. Hang on lemme fix my tablet—
Narrative + Gameplay!
Explore Tanalorr: Right now this sparkly, strong-in-the-Force, temple-carved planet is a huge mystery box for Jedi 3. There's a few directions it could go - more High Republic history, another civilization (the Nihil? someone new?) lurking in the shadows, or Force-related secrets hiding below the surface. Each Jedi game has followed Cal's exploration of an ancient culture, and I think Tanalorr can be a focal point in that journey.
Defeat Sorc Tormo and the Haxion Brood: I mentioned this in an ask earlier this week, but I so want a resolution to this fight against the Brood. Especially since roaming bounty hunters would threaten the Hidden Path. Maybe Cal breaks back into Ordo Eris, or hunts down Sorc Tormo on another planet. Maybe there's a Force-only stealth section?? Maybe a big multi-wave boss fight? Maybe Caij is there??? (no she doesn't get an invite to Tanalorr)
Dark Side Force Slow: The fact that Cal's Force Slow ability kept its red-stained aura, even in the Survivor post-game, is great. I love lasting consequences and ludonarrative harmony, yes yes yes. Really hope this isn't fully resolved by the start of Jedi 3 (potential timeskip makes it tricky but whatever) and the ability receives some sort of healing through Cal finding his way out of the darkness.
Narrative!
Timeskip?: I vote no, but I think Jedi 3 will vote yes, likely to age up Kata and allow Tanalorr to be more developed. But that also means Cal and the Mantis Crew goes through character development without us (boo) or remains emotionally stunted until we get there (also boo?). I'm more comfortable with the five year gap between FO and Survivor than I used to be though, despite "missing out" on big character moments, so maybe it'll be okay. Maybe. 👀
The Hidden Path builds a home on Tanalorr: This works until it doesn't, whether from outside pressure or the threat of a spy within. I don't think Bode's fears should necessarily be validated, but I do think the risk will keep Cal on edge and hurt his ability to trust (both others and himself.) It'll drive decisions that strain his relationships and be a source of conflict for part of the game.
The Mantis gets semi-retired and then reinstated: I just love the mental picture of the Mantis parked somewhere cozy and decorated with cloth and lights and a hideout for Kata. It's become too small and high profile to use for gathering the Path, but when the plot gets going, they're gonna need her back in action.
Three main antagonists: The Empire, an unrelated third-party with their own goals (Nihil or someone else), and Cal's own demons. The first two drive the external conflict, the third drives Cal's inner conflict and the story's themes. More on that at the end.
A memorial garden: It's designed by Pili and filled with native Tanalorrian plants and trees, from which the Anchorites hang cords and windchimes and bits of colored glass. Cere's saber was buried beneath the largest tree. Cal plays her hallikset here when he's too troubled to meditate. If we want to be mean, this place gets damaged during a battle in Act 3. If we want to be less mean, this is the place that doesn't get damaged during a battle.
Kata has some sort of student-teacher relationship with Cal: I'm torn on her being Force sensitive: this is a story about Jedi and "guide her through the darkness" is pretty telling given Cal's own darkness at the end of Survivor. But Cal helping Kata (and Kata helping Cal) can happen regardless of her Force sensitivity - it would just look different. This is a soft answer because I'm still exploring ideas around it BUT admittedly the angst levels would be higher if she is sensitive.
A battle against the shadow self: Look this one is cliche. I don't care. I want a huge cavern in the depths of Tanalorr where Cal gets to fight a dark version of himself that switches between all his former enemies. If we're making a video game here let's physically beat up our darkness. Let's have it not work. Let's bring Cal to rock bottom to remind him that he is more than his darkness and he doesn't have to do this alone. Let's go back to that same fight later and then we finally win.
There's more to explore story-wise and I will eventually, but I'm overall not concerned about Jedi 3's narrative. Respawn has been very intentional with their writing of Cal Kestis and the Jedi series so far (despite some last minute changes to Survivor) and I love this character and this story because of all the great work they've created. I really hope they finish this journey the way they want to. That being said—
How should Jedi 3 end? Should Cal die?
No: I'll argue Cal dying at the end of the trilogy completely undermines the entire lesson of Survivor.
Cal wouldn't stop fighting the Empire: The Cal we meet at the beginning of Survivor definitely wouldn't. That Cal also watched countless friends die to that same fight and saw two different Jedi fall to their passions-turned-obsessions that led them to the dark side. He may wrestle with remnant obligation or a bitter apathy, but he's definitely not as single-minded as he was before.
Cal would sacrifice himself to save the Path: Yeah, he probably would. Cere did exactly that during the Siege of Jedha when all else failed. But maybe the Path could be protected without Cal needing to be a Weapon - a lesson Cere also wanted him to learn.
Another way: I think the Koboh abyss (that separates Tanalorr from the rest of the galaxy) could be destroyed. I don't know if Cal would choose to destroy it, but I think the Empire would: if they can't reach Tanalorr it's the next best thing.
Now Cal has to make a choice: Leave (continuing the fight alone) or Stay (shepherding the Path for an unknown future.) It doesn't mean they never find a way back to the known galaxy, but it'll take time. Enough time for a New Hope to appear.
Whatever your opinion of the Sequel Trilogy, the line: "That’s how we’re gonna win. Not fighting what we hate. Saving what we love." is not only a complete thesis of Star Wars, but fits really well with Cal's journey. He's become very good at fighting. He wants to save everyone in Fallen Order, and he can't. He still wants to save everyone in Survivor, and they refuse him. His Fight has made a difference (again, Cere says as much) but it's clear this can't be Cal's final answer.
Choosing to protect the Path, choosing to trust the Force, choosing a home. That's what he's been fighting for. I love Cal Kestis because he isn't the chosen one and he isn't going to save the galaxy. But for his family and his community, he saved their galaxy. It's cheesy but I don't care, and you know Greez and BD would agree with me.
-
Okay this got so, so much longer than I expected. Bonus points if you made it all the way down here haha. I've had a weird assortment of concepts and ideas over the past year but never wrote them down in one place - until now. I've said it before but part of my hyperfixation with the Jedi series is because it isn't finished yet and Survivor ends on such a gut-wrenching cliffhanger. Whatever happens to this series, I'm slowly finding some sort of catharsis through all the edits and photomode shots and half-baked concepts. Thanks for tagging along ✌️
#thanks for the ask!!!!!#this is so long I'M SO SORRY#it is late and my feelings are BIG#star wars jedi survivor#jedi survivor#cal kestis#star wars#jedi 3 concepts

Late into the evening on March 29th a window is broken in the Common Room. Madeline Higheagle is the first to notice. Investigating the shards of broken glass they find a radio and within moments of picking it up it shoots to life with static in her hand. A familiar voice jokes with Maddie to prepare for guests before providing instructions.
Several hours later a zipline has been constructed between the Wexley and a neighboring building, mostly thanks to the free climbing skills of the Wexley's head maid--who'd been MIA and presumed dead since the Winter supply runs. In Reality, Tamberlane Shelley had been preparing for a grand return.
She had been the one to instruct the ship-locked survivors to remain in the bay, intending to radio Ashton Ryder and inform him of the situation; Unknowing that his own radio equipment had been broken months prior.
Flying high across the city streets, Lane is only the first of many to cross into the Wexley using the zipline. Dozens of mismatched bags and duffels come one after the other, each carrying a small piece of the treasure Lane worked hard to gather before her return. Captain Eduardo and Chef Trey have made it back no worse for wear along with a friendly dog they picked up on the beach who's name tag reads Lady.

THE ISLES OF VER AETERNUM
The main island - Ver Aeternum
The island cluster where Phenexis Hails is known as Ver Aeternum. In English, it translates as the island of Eternal Spring. The Main Island (Ver Aeternum) is a large volcanic island with many coves and caves, a jungle as well as numerous species of plants and animals. As the name implies, the climate is always warm and sunny, and everything is always in bloom.
This island is the home to what used to be a small population of ship wreck survivors. Starting out as five families who were crossing the Sea. But as the years have gone on, it has grown due to new shipwrecks and the numerous births of new babies. The humans of this island live on one side, while the other Is used exclusively by the seemingly all powerful spirits of nature the islanders have come to call "Gods" and those of one of the five founding families that have the honor of Godly barrier protection duty.
But as the population steadily grew, the need for more resources for both humans and spirit/God's grew too. So, to answer this problem, the Spirits used the power they had accumulated to create a myriad of new Islands for their and their humans uses.
The isles
Small islands on either side of the main island which share its warm climate.
Phoenix isle.
Small island off the Godside of the mainland given to phenexis for her own purposes. She uses it as a meeting place for her family on her non native mothers side, since they arent allowed on the main island because of their rules. So this island since It's under her domain as a demigoddess means she can do as she likes with it.
So she's built a house, a garden, ziplines, tree houses and other fun things on the island for her family to do when they come to visit.
Phenexis eventually starts to loan it out to the other islanders who have off island family so long as they treat it with as much respect or more as they do the main island.
Isle Fundus
This island is used to grow the plants that are turned into the materials used on the Islands: clothes, paper, ink, building equipment, boating equipment, medical equipment, and so on.
THE SKISLES (pronounced sk-eye-ls)
The skiles float above the main island and have a slightly cooler and windier climate than the main island.
Skiles Ruach (pronounced roo-ach)
The skile of Ruach: Ruach being Hebrew for Spirit, is Home to those of the Spirits/God's that can fly. Phenexia and Ventasmus are it's only divine inhabitants. Though Phenexis being daughter to Phenexia is allowed to live and visit should she wish. This isle floats above the gods side of the main island.
Skisles - Fundus
The skisle of Fundus: Fundus, being Latin for Farm, is just that! An animal farm! This isle floats above the Human side of the Island and It's entirely comprised of plants and animals largely untouched by the Islands human inhabitants. They only interact through observation or the rare times when giving medical aid is necessary. They make sure the island is well maintained and the animals have all they need to florish in a natural and healthy environment but with as little human interaction as possible.
THE SUNKEN ISLES
Sunken Isles - Ruach
The sunken isle of Ruach: Ruach being Hebrew for Spirit, is Home to those of the Spirits/God's that can swim: Arenis, Belladonis and Chardona are it's only divine inhabitants. This isle floats below the gods side of the main island.
Sunken Isles - Fundus
The sunken isle of Fundus: Fundus, being Latin for Farm, is just that! A food and medicinal farm! This island is used to grow all food and medicinally related crops. The Climate is like a greenhouse. Tropical. Warm. Wet. Perfect for growing! All of the crops are fertilized by mulch made with the discarded parts of the harvested crops on all the islands as well as poop from the herbavoires and the bits and bobs of the sea life that's caught on the main island! This mulch is then spread between all the islands for home gardens and general health of the wild flora.

Two Force Tears stand between me and a platinum trophy for Jedi Survivor. I'm not really a person who enjoys "git gud" gaming, but I guess I'm going to try. Ziplines and portal jumping, my least favorite things about this game; little things to folks less casual about gaming than me, looming large in my playthrough. Other challenges in this game can be helped by lowering the difficulty, and I'm not ashamed to do that, but I don't think these particular ones can. They're all about timing, but apparently I just can't quite figure the timing out.
Wish me luck these four days off, both that I can get enough time on the PS5 without annoying my husband and that just maybe, I can platinum the game.

tell me your every errant thought on survivor pretty pretty please
OKAY everything that comes to mind in no particular order (and under a cut for spoilers)
the whole thing with Bode was so heartbreaking 😭 I saw the betrayal coming when he started acting weird, but I did not expect him to be a Jedi, and I definitely let out a gasp when he used the force against Cal
I understand what they were going for with him, but I'm not sure I was a fan of it. I think he genuinely cared about Cal, and the fact that he didn't even pause for a second in the end, even when his actions were actively putting Kata at risk... like yeah, I get that was the point but I just kinda wish he had a moment of clarity or something.
I have to say though, Kata putting her doll on his burning body was the saddest damn thing I ever saw. I also loved her lullaby (but that ending was unsatisfying I'm sorry)
okay, moving on from all that mess, fuck. the. force tears. seriously. ESPECIALLY the parkour ones. fuck them! there was no reason to make them so difficult 😭 I've finished the main storyline and all of the planets besides Jedha, so I'm dreading what more force tears I'll have to deal with because some of the ones on Koboh were already kicking my ass. I mean I finished them all in the end, but holy hell, the one with all the ziplines made me turn off the game without saving
I can't believe they didn't let BD jump into chests anymore!! outrageous
okay, enough negatives, I DID like this game. the semi open-world was nice, I'm glad they didn't go full open-world with this but having a little space to explore Koboh freely was definitely fun
the outfits. no notes, 10/10. Cal Kestis, fashion king (right after Cassian of course) I loved designing different outfits for every planet, and then matching BD to it <3
so I mentioned previously that I didn't really connect to Greez in Fallen Order (no hate, I was just kinda neutral) but I actually really liked him in this one! idk what changed, if it was just a growing fondness after spending more time with him or what, but I'm glad I was able to appreciate him more
I also loved Merrical. that first kiss moment was really nice <3
Cameron Monaghan is honestly so incredible in this role. couldn't have asked for a better Cal.
live slug reaction. gay. incredible.
when Cal embraces his dark side, and the level up menu goes all red instead of blue.... oof. that did hit me a bit, it was a nice touch.
the fact that Cere was so close to beating Vader 😭😭 that whole fight was so great, and lmao at him being set on fire again afdsgfdsgf
I love that they gave us so many different lightsaber stances and even a blaster! I mean I locked down on my favorite at the beginning and didn't use anything else lmao, but still, I love having the choice
Cal working with Saw!! and Saw being impressed by him, I know that's right. also here's my thesis on Cal meeting Jyn -
#replies#grimm-lynn#okay im sure im missing stuff#but it's what came to mind at the moment#overall i loved the game and i can't tell you which i liked more#because i did enjoy the linear narrative of fallen order#but i think survivor did a great job of expanding the world a bit#sissi plays survivor#jedi survivor spoilers

Jedi Survivor Theory:
At some point mid game Cal is going to be horribly injured in a fight and lose his hand/lower arm aka the old Skywalker one-two, and given his technological prowess demonstrated in Fallen Order (repairing and upgrading BD-1 and repairing and adapting his lightsaber into a triple threat single, double and dual saber) he’s going to create a robotic hand/arm for himself.
There was a grappling hook feature shown in the trailer, and I believe he’s going to incorporate the grappling hook and other gadgets into his prosthetic arm to demonstrate the resolve and adaptability of his character.
BONUS: I think he’s going to incorporate BD-1 into the arm. BD may well be terribly damaged and unfixable, and Cal, as a tribute to his companion, will integrate BD’s components such as his zipline climber, scomp link, and stim dispenser. This would act as a visual metaphor of Cal’s growth, demonstrating how no matter what he will always carry the memory and sacrifice of his friends with him on the Path.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
This one probably doesn't really count because I've already played it quite a bit, but it has been a while and I never finished, so I feel the need to at least replay the opening so I can remember HOW to play the game, and while I'm here, I'll go ahead and do a OHH take on it.
Clearly the rating is Keep Playing
Survivor is the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order which followed Cal Kestis, a survivor of Order 66 as he attempted to find a holocron full of young potential Jedi's locations before the Dark Side did.
What is interesting about this game mechanically is that it takes that default stance that at the beginning of the game, you have to be depowered so you can build your character back up... and throws it out. As far as I can tell, you're just as 'powerful' at the top of Survivor as you were at the end of Fallen Order (more or less). You've got pretty much all the moves and movement options like wall running and ziplining upwards, etc. that you learned in Fallen Order. Instead, they add NEW things, new movement options like a jetpack and lightsaber stances beyond just one blade or two. You can use a blaster/one handed saber, or even a two-handed greatsword-like heavy saber. You are back down to a smaller health and force pool and only 2 stims at a time, but those feel like they're just his new normal rather than feeling like he was nerfed.
This is a sequel. Should I play the first one first?
You don't really need to, but I'd suggest it. There ARE places in the menus where you can practice your moves and/or learn techniques in a safe environment and there IS a kind of flashback to Fallen Order to jog your memory, but the flashback isn't very narratively coherent, especially if you're starting on Survivor. I DID play Fallen Order all the way through and still didn't remember a lot of what was in the flashback :joy: The good news is if you decide to play Fallen Order before diving into Survivor, it's not like going back in time to play a game before good camera mechanics were developed. It hasn't aged much if at all and still makes for good play.
So! Survivor!
In the opening scene, you're back as Kestis, apparently captured by some mercenaries and being taken back to the center of the Star Wars universe- Coruscant. A senator has attempted to capture Cal in an effort to find more Jedi before turning them over to the Emperor who has made his palace at the Jedi Temple. Cal's been busy, working with Saw Gerrera and acting the 'terrorist'.
You're quickly on the move with BD-1 and a new ally, Bode- a bounty hunter type with a jetpack and blasters. You pick up a skill point or three as you're racing across Coruscant's rooftops, force pushing stormtroopers off ledges in what is always a satisfying mechanic.
Somewhere around the end of the hour, depending on how much time you spend exploring and how long it takes you to get through the platforming sections, you're faced with an unexpected twist and the first of the 'boss battles' against a returning foe. It's... rough lol
Overall, though, the first hour is a pretty good indication of the rest of the game. Pretty good scaffolding and prompting for how to use your abilities and the other mechanics in the game. The only thing it's really missing is the travel between systems and the workbenches. Travel between systems is pretty simple- use the navigation console in a ship. The workbenches give you the opportunity to customize your weapons and BD-1 (colors, materials, and different components that you pick up while exploring). You can also pick up new hairstyles, facial hair styles, and clothes for Cal as you explore.
There's also a huge 'open' world where your new base is that you'll explore between missions, opening new sections as you develop more skills and movement options. This is also not the end of meeting up with returning characters from the first game. You might have split up after Fallen Order, but that doesn't mean you're alone. (Though there might be some... mending of relationships that needs to happen.)
Mechanically, combat and platforming are smooth. There's lots of options but they don't really feel overwhelming, and there is the aforementioned training area where you can go to practice new and old moves to refresh your memory when you find yourself falling back on the basics too often. (Or when you walk away and forget to play for 6 months >.>)

Im just saying if I was a rando survivor trying to find the last remaining vodka bottle in the entirety of Harran and I looked up and saw a fucked up Volatile type thing sliding down a zipline I'd probably shit myself but would also think it's incredibly funny
I think in DL1 when you finish The Following and choose the canon route, they should have let you come back to campaign with a new skin and terrorize everyone

fallen order lives rent free in my head
It's been like 3 weeks since I finished star wars jedi fallen order and it continues to live in my thoughts randomly so I just want to mind dump all of it here. tldr if you have not played the game you absolutely should!! one of my favorites of all time, it's fairly rare for a game to invade my thoughts and make me wish I could re-experience it all again for the first time (ok triangle strategy I also felt that way but I've just been playing more bangers recently) I'll get the spoiler-free stuff out of the way- it very much entirely feels like you are playing a star wars movie. And yeah "it really makes you feel like [thing]" is perhaps the most cliche thing to say about any video game but respawn really put their heart and soul into the presentation of this game because there is SO MUCH that's cinematic, and not in the way that the cliche mid-2010's AAA games just felt like you were watching a movie and pressing a couple buttons. The environments are super star wars (though the first major planet is kind of Just Ok in that regard), and the cinematic details of the cutscenes and ziplining and everything just feel awesome. The music goes without saying is super good, you could say it's derivative of John Williams but like, that's *entirely the point* and they do it super well. The characters feel extremely human in line delivery and animation, which is a thing that apparently we are still struggling with in current day. The only thing it's missing is the title scroll lmao Combat is very fluid once you get a hang of it, and even though you technically only have access to a few force abilities (being a goody two shoes jedi) throughout the whole game they add a lot to how you can approach enemies. It does feel sort of diet soulsborne, but that's entirely excused by the fact that you are a using a FUCKING LIGHTSABER it's so cool lol. And there's wallrunning and some parkour stuff that respawn excels at. If you are vaguely interested in souls games and/or metroidvanias I 100% recommend it, playing on the 2nd highest difficulty it was the right difficulty for me (on par with like hollow knight difficulty), but grandmaster sounds like the true souls bullshit experience if you really want that. ~~~~~~~~~Spoilers start here~~~~~~~~~~ I've gushed for a bit so I'll start here with the criticisms I had. Ultimately they all kind of boil down to "I wish the game was longer" and for a 20 hour (non-jrpg) game even that's kind of praise lol. But I did wish there was more of a final act twist or just something besides what you probably could have guessed would happen from the very start. That being "you find all 3 tombs and you get the holocron and the Second Sister steals it and you have a final confrontation with her and take back the holocron and end credits". That said there is a lot of character development for both Cal and Cere and a lot of lore building so I still found the story overall incredibly enthralling but I just wish there was *more* overarching y'know. You don't spend that much time with dual wield lightsabers and your own kyber crystal before you realize you're pretty much at the finale. And with only like 4 planets I just wished there were more places to go so there could be a lot more enemy types and boss varieties etc. And also I kind of wish the Nightsister did something more like idk fight alongside or teach Cal some combat techniques or something (but I assume that will probably be a thing in Jedi Survivor) but since she gets pretty much added to the crew at the end of the penultimate chapter she couldn't be particularly impactful besides saving Cal in the finale. Ultimately I think that's more an issue of "this is a prequel game to the main movie trilogy" than an issue with the game itself, by which I mean you know Cal can't entirely save the Jedi Order and defeat Darth Vader and Palpatine because that's what Luke Skywalker has to do. So when Darth Vader shows up and that awesome finale sequence happens there's a little bittersweetness because you know you aren't gonna *fight* him (or it'll be a scripted loss/he gets away due to some bullshit). It's the sort of phenomenon that I always talk about when people say like "man I wish Age of Calamity was a REAL prequel to BotW" like it functionally is for most of it except now you don't *actually* know the ending so there are actual stakes. Is it "less dark"? Sure, I guess, but I feel like going the entire story knowing the champions are all going to die would put a damper on the amazing character development and interactions throughout the game knowing none of it really matters because they're all gonna die and you know how they're gonna die from BotW. And just a nitpick is I wish the dual wield lightsabers were like a thing you could wield as a main weapon and not just a combo finisher lol but that's just me I fucking love dual wield it's always so sick!! But the combat is already super smooth, transitioning between single and dual blade lightsaber is very satisfying and weaving in force abilities and dodging it's already super fucking good, it could just be much sicker if you could just dual blade some fools. Going back to the story and characters, I just love pretty much the entire cast from beginning to end, allies and enemies. I could go through all of them one by one but like it's way too much to talk about I'd just recap the entire game lmao. Particular highlights are of course Cal's growth and tackling his trauma from Order 66 (an INCREDIBLE sequence built off of the "tutorial segments") and how it mirrors Cere's similar journey as they converge and work together in the finale, Second Sister and Merrin being badasses just in general, and the intro. Oh and of course BD-1. Just in general. BD-1 is a friend :) Map/dungeon design is also a highlight, there are a surprising amount of pretty interesting puzzles that I'd be shocked if they weren't directly inspired by Zelda dungeons. They're the puzzles that seem like the overall answer is fairly obvious but you just have to sit and think, run around, scratch your head as you figure out HOW to put together the answer. Yes, Fallen Order is one of my favorite Zelda games. (Alternatively, the Zelda team needs to make Zelda into a dedicated metroidvania it would bang!!!) I do wish there was better quick travel (or am I just spoiled by hollow knight benchwarp mod?) to better encourage exploring but I found that it generally wasn't really a huge issue; Dathomir is kind of a pain to get around but I never really hated backtracking for secrets, just wished I could benchwarp lol Moment to moment I loved the game and characters and music and cinematic presentation and I'm really hoping Jedi Survivor can push these pros even further and add even more cool combat options and add a little more QoL and be a like 100 hour game that would be cool. Just please don't pretend to be another game and instead build on Fallen Order's unique flavor in the sequel (looking at you Ori 2)(August 2022)
