Subject first surfaced on October 8th, 1961, and ever since then, humanity has been ravaged for years, by the monster now known to the world as, Godzilla. Throughout the 1960s to 2030s, Godzilla has stayed as mankind's greatest enemy, and was #1 on the GDF's kill list, however after E Day back in 2037, Godzilla has been gone for the last 15 years. Not much is known about Godzilla, no one knows where he came from, how old he is, how he was able to go undetected for so long before being discovered, or his current whereabouts. What we do know is that:

He is male and is unable to asexually reproduce.

Stands at 100 meters tall, formerly 80.

Had an offspring once, nicknamed Godzilla Jr, who is, unfortunately now deceased, and her existence implied that Godzilla had a mate at one point. Most would agree that the mate is also dead.

Has a strange, almost brotherly bond with the Kaiju known as Anguirus.

Is one of the strongest Kaiju on Earth, he is capable of taking down the Empire state building with a single tail swipe, can regenerate faster depending on how severe an injury is, his atomic breath was able to destroy Mt. Everest during a fight with Megalon, survived being nuked by the Tsar bomb, and held his own against King Ghidorah for 5 hours straight. It's theorized that he grows stronger the longer he fights or the angrier he gets, however even if that's wrong, I'd still say that he is quite incredible.

Behavior is similar to that of Grizzly bears, despite being reptilian.

Has shown behaviorial signs that suggest depression and schizophrenia.

After the death of his daughter, Godzilla has grown more hostile, attacking anything that gets near him, although he has been spotted attacking White Rodan, the alpha female of a Rodan flock and adoptive mother of Godzilla Jr, unprovoked.

The only Kaiju that Godzilla hasn't been hostile to or attacked, are Anguirus, Zilla, and strangely enough, Mothra, despite her being in constant conflict with Godzilla multiple times, a leading theory is that Godzilla seems to admire Mothra's beautiful wings and is too distracted to attack, while Mothra strikes at him repeatedly. Although a running joke is that Godzilla has a crush on Mothra.

On December 25th, 1964, Mothra's egg washed up on Yurigahama beach, however before Mothra could show up to take back her egg, Godzilla appeared and for reasons unknown to us, he started protecting the egg, attacking anything that got near it. Maybe it was just his paternal instincts kicking in at the wrong time, maybe he just mistook it as one of his own, or maybe, just maybe, the loss of his daughter stuck with him, and all he was trying to do, was cope.

He hates us...and he will never forgive us...

Currently the GDF has begun searching for Godzilla, but the public's view on the monster has changed ever since Ghidorah came to Earth. Some believe that Godzilla must be destroyed because of everything he has ever done, all the pain, the suffering, all that death, all those losses, the destruction he caused daily, it's either him or us. However there are others who believe that we have caused more suffering to him than he ever could for us, and we need him to fight the threats that the GDF can't handle, such as King Ghidorah and Destoroyah. As for what the public thinks on Godzilla's whereabouts, most are unsure, some believe the GDF captured him and turned him into a cyborg, but we all know...he's still alive out there.

Your Urban Kiju AU is so cute! I love all your reinterpretations of the other Kaiju here. I know you’ve mentioned Zilla Jr. and his living with the Goji family, but what about Zilla Sr.? Are they still alive in this AU?

To be honest, I spent so much time into working on Zilla jr’s relationship with him mom that I really didn’t think of giving him a dad. Not gonna lie. To be honest OG Zilla just might be a single mom trying her best out here 💛

The East Blue

Ruled by Godzilla and Mothra from their home island of Odo, where it said that the first Godzilla was hatched and born there.

Godzilla and Mothra kingdom usually have most showa, heisei and some Millennium kaiju. Think like Ceaser, Anguirus, Baragon, Rodan, Varan type kaiju.

While to human it's the calmest sea to Kaiju Humans its actually rather chaotic, given that some of King Ghidorahs loyal lackeys are still around and posing a threat and Godzilla having to beat them down.

It's one of the oldest Kingdoms set up, being created by the first Godzilla that was ever hatched.

West Blue

This Kingdom is ruled by Zilla Jr, after taking it over from his more Villianous father after they decided to try and join King Ghidorah. The fight was rough on on his father who had to retreat with some help of loyal lackies.

Most of the kaiju population are more considered mutants and with some kaiju from the Darkhorse comics and some from Marvel. Like Obsidius, Krystalak, Bagorah, Batragon, Burtannus, Titanosaurus etc

The West Sea Kingdom has a bit looser social standards than the East Sea Kingdom, Zilla Jr isn't as much of a king and more like a good Mayor that talk and listen to his people.

Godzilla has a genuine respect for Zilla Jr, since Godzilla actually tried to takeover the West Sea Kingdom after Zilla Sr allying with Ghidorah. Until Zilla Jr engaged him in a single combat. In the end it left the both of them pretty battered and bruised.

The North Blue

Ruled by the family of Kaiju known as the Kongs, who were always rivals with the Godzilla and even the Zillas at times.

The Current Kong in charge is actually a rather good friend with Godzilla, helping him with Ghidorah and then two fighting a usurper(Skar King) in Kongs Kingdom.

The Kaiju that usually reside in the North Kingdom are either mammalian in nature or have the ability to resist very cold temperatures, think like the Great Apes, Behemoth, Tiamat, Scylla Tiamat etc.

The heir of the North Kingdom is an ape called Suko while the queen is Shimo, and let's just say Godzilla was shocked by his friends taste in Women.

The South Blue

The South Sea Kingdom used to be ruled by the Ghidorahs, a long time enemy of well nearly everyone. They ruled through fear and fear alone with plans of expanding their kingdoms size. Granted after the last Ghidorah was defeated over 500 years ago the South Sea is now ruled by Godzillas older brother Space Godzilla.

Due to the previous rulers of the South Blue Kingdom, the South Blue is constantly plagued by storms that seemingly never end. With the Combination of Space Godzillas ability to grow Crystal's that give off psychic energy also causes problem for regular humans.

The inhabitants of the South Blue are usually kaiju that were villains in the godzilla movies or alien in nature, like Megaguirus, Megalon, Gigan, Hedorah etc

Space Godzilla is actually a more beloved leader than King Ghidorah due to how tyrannical the Golden Dragons could be, granted there are still some that are loyal to the Golden Denise's.

Kaiju Humans

They have two forms, their humanoid forms and their monstrous forms, they only reveal their monstrous forms when they're extremely angry and when they transform into it it causes a massive unleash a huge amount of Conquers Haki.

While they can eat regular humanoids(Minks, Fishman, Mermaid, Giants etc) food the Kaiju Humans often have to eat KaijuBeasts or GreenGlow Ore to really sustain themselves.

Kaiju Humans are one of the longest living of any of the races of the One Piece world with some of them living for over 10,000 years.

Kaiju Humans are always protective of their young, since they are usually very weak upon hatching and they take a long time to grow.

Along with their amazing and incredibly impressive durability most if not all Kaiju Humans have an incredible healing factor as well.

The worldbuilding you share honestly just keeps getting better and better. Godzilla, you have no room to judge Kong's tastes in partners. Also good on Zilla Jr for their different approach to leadership and Space G deserves some extra luck with his.

Kaiju Week in Review (May 21-27, 2023)

When Arrow Video rifled through Daiei's tokusatsu catalog a few years ago, The Whale God was one of the big omissions. I've heard that Kadokawa wouldn't let them have it for whatever reason. Sort of a Japanese Moby Dick, it's not really a kaiju movie, but between the Akira Ifukube score and a bunch of familiar faces (Takashi Shimura, Kojiro Hongo, Kyoko Enami, Koji Fujiyama) everyone just gives it a pass. Oh, and Shintaro Katsu—Zatoichi himself—plays the human villain.

Anyway, SRS Cinema got their hands on it. They wouldn't have been my first choice, or even my fifth, but it'll be nice to finally see the flick in HD.

After months of silence, Netflix busted out a Skull Island teaser. I'm not really sure what the hook for this one is, other than it being the first Monsterverse show and not subjecting us all to substandard 3DCG, but the new monsters look neat and the voice cast is stacked.

Biollante's Flower Beast Form has won Bandai's third You Choose! Toho Kaiju Sovfi Figure!, beating Desghidorah and Zilla in the final round. Hilariously, the results were revealed a couple days after the 25th anniversary of the TriStar Godzilla film. Expect the rose's Movie Monster Series figure on November 3... and at the rate Bandai is making new sculpts, I doubt the other two will be far behind.

Honestly, I can't see Zilla's species being a world-ending threat in the Monsterverse if Zilla is the standard of adults' strength instead of Zilla Jr. - I can't even see them threatening human civilisation at large on an Earth that doesn't have any Titans protecting humanity.

Zilla and his babies were all wiped out by about a dozen conventional fighter jet missiles as far as I recall.

They could become an invasive species if they escape into the environment and reproduce there, but it'd be like grey squirrels or bamboo in Europe - a pest that humans and the other Titans can never really stamp out, but which doesn't stand any realistic chance of completely overturning civilisation and the Titans' natural order.

Yeah, I never took any stock in the idea that "an army of Zillas can totally overwhelm and dominate Godzilla," let alone overwhelming and dominating the world. Zilla Jr is the exception to the rule set by his siblings and Zilla Sr, but as a whole Zillas would be pests, not even on a We Have MUTOs At Home level.

Jet Jaguar vs Godzilla

Jet plants his spear in the ground as a sign of resistance, his weapon that has taken so many lives, but he won’t take this one. He picks up the child and holds her near his back, she climbs on, holding tightly to his shoulders and sides. 

Godzilla snarls, “What do you think you’re doing Jaguar?! You’re saving this vermin?! I told you to kill it!”

“She has done nothing wrong, you got your vengeance, let her live.” Jet Jaguar says, then the Fire Prince flies to his side.

“He’s right Godzilla” Fuji screeched “Mom’s avenged, we can stop now”

“No, they all must die, they didn’t just kill you mother.” Godzilla roared

“Fuji, he’s right, she’s too dangerous” Rodan squawked, a somber anger in his tone.

“Well then, So am I Dad, you gonna kill me too?” Fuji Spread his wings anticipating a fight.

“Fuji! you will stand down this instant, I don’t want to fight you but I will.” Rodan matched His Son’s stance

“Then Let’s fight” Fuji said “Jet! Run!”

Before Jet could activate his thrusters, he was blasted by Godzilla, knocking him back. Jet eyes shifted from Blue to Red.

“I didn’t want this, My King” Jet said entering a combative stance “But I won’t let you hurt her.”

Jet pulled his Spear from the mountain where he had left it two years ago, beside him was Fuji and Ivory. By taking back his spear, Jet was reigniting his killer instinct, something he thought he buried a long time ago. This ends today, Either He dies, Godzilla dies, or they all live. Ivory was almost half his height, and looking at her Jet felt nothing but Pride and Happiness. Everyone always looked at with glances of Disgust, Confusion, or both when Jet called her what she is to him. His little girl, His Pride, His Daughter. Jet was pulled from his happy thoughts by the crashing of waves on the horizon. Godzilla was here, He brought Mothra, Rodan, Miwa, Daitan, Baki, Angurius, Biollante, and Thornna(Thorn-Na: Biollante and Angurius’s Daughter). 

“You’re outnumbered, Surrender please... We promise, She won’t feel a thing” Mothra said, clearly not completely on board with killing Ivory.

“That’s cold comfort, Here’s my counter” Jet said, before unleashing a ping from his Orca device. Komodithrax crawled out from behind the mountain, Zilla Jr Leapt up from a nearby Hot Spring, Kozi emerged from a newly made hole, Ghidora flew in and landed behind Jet, Kiryu stomped up from behind Jr. Caelignis dove off from the mountains peak. Orcanna leapt across the rocks after emerging from the ocean, with her father, Aptenodytes, staying in the water. Even Jira emerged from the ocean, much to Gojira’s shock, and took a place right next to her mate.

“Sister? Why?! Why side with these traitors?!” Godzilla roared 

“Because Goji, I lost Mom and Dad too, but you are out of control. I’m sorry Goji, but you need to be stopped.”

The Armies Charged, Godzilla rushed Jet and got Knee’d in the face. Fuji dive bombed his dad. Caelignis charged at Mothra, before getting her eyes covered in silk, Miwa and Daitan squared up against Zilla Jr, Komi, and Jira. Orcanna and Ghidora were chosen by Biollante to be her prey, Baki decided to partner up with Aptenodytes. Kozi and her Grandfather faced Angurius and Thornna, who slammed their ball forms into Kiryu, knocking him over. Thornna then decided to separate Kozi from that fight, and handle her herself.

Some Kaiju Headcanons because I’ve been watching Singular Point

((Note: this is not headcanons related to singular point, these are just kaiju headcanons that I’ve made because I’ve been motivated to write about my Kaiju/Godzilla Related muses because of Singular Point))

- Despite what many people might portray, San (Kevin) isn’t actually all that stupid. I mean, come on. He’s part of Ghidorah. Were he really that stupid, he’d probably have been torn off long ago and left to rot. Or... Grow another head. Who knows. But, anyways, people just assume the third head is dumb after various scenes of him doing ‘strange’ things that seemingly none of the heads don’t understand. And while they may seem stupid, I’d like to argue that San’s actions are more about curiosity, and, possibly, more savage than the other two heads. His actions seem to almost have an independence from them, something the middle head, Ichi always has to reign in. So, what does something like San do when left with... No master? No person to reign him in? Hence why, if he seems more brutal when paired with Ren, it’s because he’s essentially free to do whatever he wants now- And his personality becomes much more unstable when no one is there to control it. - Zilla, much like a bearded dragon, when aggravated enough, puffs his neck up and turns it black, along with bobbing his head. That’s it. Not much else to it. - The Gabara Species actually thrive off of ‘Bullying,’ or, driving opponents out of territories with explosive displays of force. It’s practically how they live and gain territories. They beat up, but do not kill, weaker Kaiju and steal their territories, piece by piece, when exposed to new land. It’s how they establish pecking order amongst both themselves and other Kaiju.

Nyssa: An Aquatic sauropod like kaiju human(imagine a mix of whale,human, and Dreadnoughtus) she serves as both of the First Lady and as the position of Spy Master, despite her size she can move so quietly it's like she's a ghost.

Balzardan: A storm and ice controlling kaiju human known be both quick and strong, he's a loyal friend to Zilla Jr and helped him in the West Blue Civil War. He's in the position of the SIC

Na Kika: An octopus like kaiju that serves as the Major Brain for the West Blue, also helping Nyssa with Spying.

Krystalak: This gem ladder Kaiju was once Zilla Sr most prominent soldier, his loyalty was shattered when Zilla Sr let King Ghidorah take several of his kind to be used as both monetary and experiments. He tends to be a bit gruff and rough around the edges. He serves as the Warmaster

Obsidius: A golem kaiju human made of liquid magma and solid obsidian one would think he'd be the best for Warmaster but instead he's happy being the Head of Growers, using his rich ash to fertilize massive fields.

Titansaur: A rather shy kaiju human, they'd rather be working of the various tinkering they have, they've been be Zilla Jr side for a long time. Head of the Builders

I just flashbacked to Team Heat from Godzilla the series 1998 upon reading this which I love btw. Seriously need to watch that underrated gem again.

It is funny how Komodithrax, as shown by concept art, was originally supposed to be a female Godzilla, but this was changed because the producers did not want another Godzilla in the series, yet they depicted Godzilla’s father at the start of the show and revived him as Cyber-Godzilla. It doesn’t matter if Cyber-Godzilla was a nod to MechaGodzilla, it was the same Godzilla from the 98 film.

They probably felt that three Godzillas would have been too much, but Zilla Sr. was already an integral part to Jr.’s origin story.  Plus, re-implementing Sr. in a manner that redeemed him by making him more Godzilla-like, served as a nod to MechaGodzilla, and led to a Godzilla vs. Godzilla battle may have been too good of an opportunity to pass up.  It’s surprisingly creative.

Jaguar’s Run

This tracks Jet Jaguar and Ivory’s journey across their two years of running from Godzilla and company.

After their defeat, Jet went got the closest known Godzilla-opposed Kaiju, @ridicbirds Aptenodytes, and by extension Aptenodytes’ Daughter @ya-boi-perish‘s Orcanna. Aptenodytes hears Jet’s pleas and with a heavy heart turns him away, knowing Godzilla is furious and worrying for the Safety of his own daughter.

Next Jet heads Home, where he is able to keep his head down for a good 10 months, His mother, General Tracey “Face of Terror” Jaeger shipping nuclear materials to him to Feed her New “Granddaughter” with Zilla Jr. and restored Kiryu patrolling the waters and Kozi and Komi patrolling the land. However it all goes south when Sydney Walker becomes the Crackler again. Sydney can now become full energy, instead of just controlling it. Jet suits up to stop him, but knows this will attract Godzilla. Jet is then outfitted, by HEAT, with extra boosters on his legs and arms. 

Jet rockets across the USA and up through Canada avoiding water as much as he can. He stops at the mountains along the Alaskan-Canadian border where he meets a Dragon-like kaiju named Caelignis(made by @qualxon) who says he can stay as long as Godzilla’s far away and he helps her hunt. Godzilla tracks Jet across America, but it takes him 6 months to reach Caelignis, but by that time Jet and Ivory are gone.

They’ve rocketed off to Hachijo-Kojima to call in a favor with Ghidora and hopefully Jira(By @archangeldraws) won’t turn them in. Last place they head is the Philippine sea to beg Bakunawa(by @tuzi0usagi0bunbon0bunny​) for help, she obliges as Godzilla has lost their trail for now, but she tells Jet, He can’t keep this up forever, and Ivory most certainly can’t. He stays with her for about a month before coming to the forgone conclusion that either Ivory’s gonna die or Godzilla is. and like hell will he let it be his daughter. So he tells Baki to tell Godzilla where he is going, the final battle has come.
