"Since the weather was nice, I decided to grab a portion of fries and a burger from there and to eat the in the park. Mere minutes later, I watched the insects flew by as I munched on my lunch, only having to swat away a fly sometimes. But what in the world in this thing over there? There was a…man?...running around, doing flips and jumping as if he had been stung by a tarantula."

time to meet Sportacus for the first time!

I woke up to the sound of children playing outside, and I couldn’t help but smile. In my old apartment, I had woken up to the sound of couples screaming at each other and throwing things around on a regular basis. I didn’t miss the sound of glass breaking and swear words being thrown around like a ball just above my head.

The sun was shining brightly, and for once I wasn’t dreading the moment I had to throw the blankets off. Today would be a day full of work - mostly cleaning, but I was looking forward to the start of this new journey. One step at a time would lead me a long way.

To start the day, I made myself a cup of tea, letting its warmth fill me from the inside before I made my way downstairs. I wasn’t hungry this morning, tea was enough to wake me up fully before I was to face the dust monster.

To get into the bakery, I had to unlock the front door of it, I had no access straight from the apartment. As I was unlocking the door (so many new keys!), a group of children came up to me.

“Who are you?”, a small boy asked me, blonde hair and rosy cheeks. He seemed a bit out of breath, the group had just played a round of basketball. I introduced myself, then pointed to the bakery.

“I am going to open up the bakery again. I heard you were looking for a new baker, so that’s my job!”, I smiled, and the children all collectively gasped.

The small boy, whose name was Ziggy, spoke up again, ��You are a baker! Are you going to bake cake for us? And pies? And cupcakes!”, and the other kids nodded along with him, clearly anticipating a new source of sweets for them. And I couldn’t blame them, my baking was amazing after all!

“Of course. But I will also make savoury things like mini pizzas, bread rolls and other goodies.”, I smiled, leaning against the wall next to the door as the children gasped. Savoury and sweet things! How great!

“That means Sportacus might like these things too?” “Have you ever seen him eat something other than an apple?” “No…”

What in the name of everything that’s holy is a ‘Sportacus’?

I had only heard of Spartans up to this point, but if a guy was to wear a spartan uniform in this town, running around and only eating apples, I might have to move back to the city. That’d save me from a lot of headaches.

I wasn’t going to pry further into their conversation, which had now changed to Ziggy and his weird eating habits, and how Pixel once ate two bags of chips in a single sitting, which was both impressive and scary.

I stepped inside of the bakery, taking in the surroundings. There was a commercial oven in there, which - if it worked - would save me thousands in cash. A big standing mixer was in there too and a small oven to proof dough in there. With this, my biggest worries were already gone. But there were boxes to unpack and other things to get ready, which would probably take several weeks.

By midday, the children had gone home to grab lunch. I was sweaty and hungry and needed a break. So I stepped outside, taking in the sun, shining down on me and the town, which was slowly awakening from its winter sleep, spring was here. There was a small restaurant close by and I decided to take a break there. Since the weather was nice, I decided to grab a portion of fries and a burger from there and to eat the in the park. But what in the world in this thing over there?

There was a…man?…running around, doing flips and jumping as if he had been stung by a tarantula. Once the man managed to stop his movements, we locked eyes, and he waved at me. “Hello there!”, he smiled and flipped his way over to me. With insane jumps which made me think of a kangaroo and not a human.

“Hello.”, he smiled and offered me his hand. I quickly wiped my own clean and shook it, giving the man a smile, “I am Sportacus! And you?”

I told the man my name, and added a little, “and I just moved here.”

At the mention of me having just moved, he perked up, “Oh really? Why did you come here?”

I pointed to the bakery which was in sight of us, “I got sick and tired of the city. Saw an ad that the town needed a new baker. I learnt the job back in the day but moved over to office work. Realized office work sucks, now I am here.”, I summed up the past few weeks of my life which had led me to the whirlwind that was my new life.

Sportacus nodded along with my words, listening intensely. His eyes seemed so soft and sweet, like a puppy looking at its owner. But he wasn’t a dog, he was a grown man, why was I making these comparisons? Anyway, I nodded too.

“That sounds like quite a journey you have had so far! Welcome to LazyTown!”, Sportacus smiled, not being able to stand still, always moving from one leg to the other. “And now you’ll run the bakery?”

“That’s the plan. I’ll probably need some help along the way, but maybe Bessie or the Mayor can give me a minute of their time.”

“If you need help, just say it out loud and I’ll come to you!”

“How are you supposed to know I’ll need help? When you are, like, halfway across the town and I am in the basement carrying sacks of flour up?”

“That’s for me to know, and for you to find out!”, and with these words, the blue dressed man ran off again to God knows where.

What did I just witness? And now my fries were cold too…

• Adopted a cat with Mike when they were in college and it had heterochromatic eyes so they named it ziggy or bowie

• He has nightmares constantly about the upside down for the rest of his life

• has a little Italian in him (ik the actor doesn't, its just a headcannon i like lmao)

• (also modern au) he (and mike) both cried to jayvik when they watched arcane season two

• in college he was so busy he just forgot to shave, but Mike liked him with facial hair so Will kept the mustache from his early twenties and onwards

• he either did band or theater as an extracurricular in lenora

• even when he got older (like 30s-50s ish) he went to this comic book shop in the evenings and played dnd (this is based off a core memory of mine from my childhood lol)

• him and Mike also get a puppy that looks like Chester (idk the breed) and they name it something nerdy from lord if the rings or and or something (I'm not educated enough in either sorry)

• has an EXTREME plant problem and filled up him and mikes first apartment with plants

• great cook, mediocre baker

• starts graying early from stress + trauma from his childhood/teenage years and gets his first gray hair at 22, which mike teases him relentlessly about

• has a grandpa sweater and flannel collection

• (semi modern/old byler au) he has very bipolar music taste like ine moment he's listening to the cure and next it's folklore by taylor swift (he denies any swiftie allegations)

New AU Time

I love aus and this one popped into my mind and I absolutely love it, since both shows are great (for the most part). Anyway here is my time on a Pokémon Horizons x Miraculous Ladybug au (man I wish I could draw).

Synopsis: Eight years ago, the current guardian Friede lost six of the miraculous during a fight with a rough hero. Now that villain is back and wielding the butterfly miraculous and seeking to steal all others out of revenge. As such, Friede must seek new wielders of the ladybug and black cat to stop him and find the missing miraculous before he does.

💡tip! an afternoon tea can be a good alternative to dinner if you have to be somewhere early in the evening (many theatre shows start at 19); mine had a pot of tea, different sandwiches, scones, grapes, macarons, chocolates and a mousse, we were really full after it! 🎭🎫 saw Pygmalion at The Old Vic (loved it, ☆☆☆☆☆) DAY 4 National Gallery (went inside) National Portrait Gallery (went inside) 🥓english breakfast in our hotel 🍕the best pizza ever at a pizzeria near Trafalgar Square 🌡️I was so lucky, it basically never rained the entire time I was there. It was really cold tho (3° at one point!) so if you go mid-october, be sure to pack at least one scarf and a warm coat.
