Hair Recoloring

Well, there is progress. I finally decided what basic pallet I will use. I am going with Poppet V1 Blonde and re and then the brown, black and grey will be Poppet V2. And then there is a boatload of color I will use here and there for my unnaturals. I want to learn how to do gradients and stuff but little by little, I guess. I came across these color actions from @zeusar​ and just fell in love with them and could not say no. I will do my best to use each color at least once. We’ll see how it goes. In the meantime, I plan to recolor/texture all my favorite hair in the basic 5 until I start creating Sims and playing with all these other new colors.

Why thank you so much ❤️❤️ I’d say my favorites for alpha skins are @thisisthem and @sims3melancholic if you are looking for something with a lot of detail and pores, tbh kinda miss the ts3 days when everyone was obsessed with pores 💔 then @obscurus-sims @ddarkstonee and @northernsiberiawinds for more soft and ethereal looking skins, so soft 🥺 As for mm skins I am very picky idk why, but I only use like three skins. Privé by @lamatisse, Cicada by @squeamishsims, and Nature Boy by @pyxiidis!!!! Hope this helped 🤪

Meet the GameTester family. I created these guys to be my models and such. They will be modeling many of the hairs I post. They will receive a break from time to allow an Oldtown Residents to participate as well. Islandia is modeling Roan68. I used Lilith’s Straight Texture along with Poppet’s Colors. I mixed the versions though. This hairstyle is available Teen through Elder.  All colors are binned, and the gray is linked to black. There are also 3 Bonus unnatural colors from Zeusar made with their photoshop actions and 1 KSM color. I think this really suits her beautiful green skin which can be found here as an alien default replacement skin from Lilith Simblr. Her sister Olive will be presented in another round of female hairs. She is wearing NewSea Sprout without the barrette. Islandia became Olive’s sister when Olive’s parents took a trip to Strangetown on vacation and found her wandering the neighborhood as a child. Since no one reported her missing the whole time they were there, the GameTesters decided to bring her home with them. Olive was an only child and enjoyed having someone her age to play with. Since then, they became inseparable. They all say that Islandia is the best souvenir they ever brought home from their trip.

Hi. So, I am completely in love with your Penny Lane - Default Face Templates, but is there a way for you to make them non-default? Just regular face templates? Also, if you could link to that blonde hair with purple ends one of the sims have on, I would absolutely love you!!!

Hello! I hope you don't mind me answering this publicly, since there's an ~unexpected download~ involved. ;)

I'm glad you like Penny Lane! They're only available as default faces right now, and I don't currently have plans to make them non-defaults, but maybe someone will someday.

The hair! It's my own retexture/recolour of Anto's Dua, using a blend of Zeusar's Pearls + Io. Naturals are for child-elder female, gradients teen and adult only, with greys linked to browns. Original conversion is by Eir, but I've included @platinumaspiration's lower-poly mesh, as well as the full-sized volatile base texture!

okay so i’m not sure how useful this is for anybody else but i just wanted to blend these mouth corners onto something, and then i got carried away. that’s it, that’s the story

anyway. some deets:

all ages + genders, face only

forehead crease and mouth crease slots

four versions based on different kinds of shiny-ness (with reticulates’s ? dewy skin & nesurii’s topaz highlight blended in)

forehead wrinkles will show through for adults and elders but. a bit too subtly? i recommend slamming some additional wrinkles on for your older sims

honestly looks kinda iffy on super light skintones
