Ohey! I'm Jade, an aura guardian living in Unova. If you see a feminine person with a witchy hat wandering around Striaton City (or occasionally Nimbasa), it's probably me. I used to be a trainer, but these days I spend my time doing aura readings for people (or drawing their auras) and recording weather patterns.
My Pokemon are below the cut.

(before anything: yes, I did stay up well past midnight just to work on this. I hope the time was worth the making of this artwork!)
“Above all, video games are meant to just be one thing: Fun for everyone.” - Satoru Iwata
It's been 9 years already. Thank you for everything, Iwata-san. May you and your legacy still live on <3
Peach is wearing a black version of her normal dress, while sporting her alternative haircut from the first intermission of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.
Zelda is wearing a black version of her Breath of the Wild dress, which is a reference to when Iwata was alive during the development of the game, as well as the "Satori Mountain" location in said game.
Gardevoir, Delphox and Zero Suit Samus are all wearing originally designed dresses, although Delphox's dress is (very loosely) based on male Byleth's design from Fire Emblem: Three Houses.
Palutena is wearing a black version of her dress from Kid Icarus: Uprising, but with added mesh over her shoulders to make it less suggestive. She is also wearing a magatama bead on her neck, which makes sense given that she's a goddess. I actually decided at the last minute on drawing this to include her here because she was announced to appear in Smash Bros. at E3 2014, where we also got a snippet of Reggie Fils-Aime's and Iwata's Miis fighting each other on Palutena's Temple.
Made with Aseprite v1.3.7. Permission is not required to use, but credit is highly appreciated. Thank you!

I love the idea of Iron Valiant (and by extension, most of the other Future Paradox Pokémon, but Miraidon’s too friendly (at least the tame one is) and Iron Leaves is a Psychic-Type so maybe not those two also I just think it makes the most sense with psycho robo killer Iron Valiant) having the same superiority complex (?) over Gardevoir and Gallade that Blood Falcon has over Captain Falcon. Mewtwo also has this but it’s not the only thing it thinks about when it thinks of Mew and it usually has to get prompted (often by Falcon insulting the concept of clones)

For me the most disappointing thing about Palworld is the designs being so boring and bland that you'll never have cause to review them. We deserve better from a creature collecting game, especially one making this much money!
Yeah here's the most opinion I can possibly muster on any of them:
Tumblr media
DUMUD: it's a big fat shark-like mudskipper and that's a good concept, it just doesn't really have the charm of any Pokemon it shares anything in common with.
Tumblr media
WUMPO: resembles the fur-wearing "werewolf" pokemon that got cut from the first or second generation, crossed with Tangrowth. One of the more okay designs because those are two good pokemon.
Tumblr media
SIBELYX: this is supposed to be their Gardevoir I guess and I think it's an owl? Or is it a moth? Well it ends up one of the slightly cooler looking ones a little less obviously derivative of specific pokemon. Maybe they were also going for a Dimitrescue knockoff with the hat
Tumblr media
CAWGNITO: an alright one because plague doctors just generally look cool. However the simple formula of plague doctor + actual bird would have been far too obvious and underwhelming as a Pokemon. There's no novelty or twist to this.
Tumblr media
HANGYU: this is the one that's a ghostly noose canonically used to execute people. It's a funny little send-up of the darker pokemon pokedex entries, though the design is uninspired compared to object-based creatures in Pokemon, Digimon or any other monster franchise I can think of.
Tumblr media
LOVANDER: this is one that fucks people, and they possibly borrowed the topography of Salazzle's official model. I want to think they did intend it to be freaky and unwholesome looking with the rubbery goblin hands, but I suspect they intended something actually sexy by furry monsterfucker standards and just weren't good at it. Yes I know that likely does not stop people from being into it anyway.
Tumblr media
TEAFANT: I was going to say this is the only pal that looks better than its closest equivalent Pokemon, because they would be Cufant, and I gave Cufant a pretty negative review back in the day.
Tumblr media
......But actually, now I kind of like Cufant. A lot, come to think of it! Teafant is cute and competent in the most paint-by-numbers possible way. It's what almost anyone would draw in ten seconds if asked to make a cute marketable teacup elephant pokemon. Cufant is an awkward, messy design but it is comparatively cute in a goofy, dorky way that's rare among the Pals, and more importantly, it is unique. I don't think they used AI to generate any Palworld models (the tech isn't there yet) but I can see why people assume they used AI just to get the initial ideas, because it's very easy to find people who have more a more creative eye for character design. I'd say even if not ESPECIALLY people with zero experience in art would have made the Pals look more interesting.

So i hope its okay... Can i request arven penny nemona and kieran Meeting a pokemon Trainer that is basiclly Pokemon sword/shield MC and maybe hop or marni come to visit? Or it can just be Just the Trainer i wouldn't mind anyway here's the team
A inteleon is kinda like a big brother to the team but still is Sometimes mischevous
Zamazenta who May look cold but is essentialy a big puppy
Gerdevoir who kinda has a sibling like rivaly with with salazle on who's stronger
Salazle who is a little diva but both her or gardevoir will beat you up if you insult the other
And a sylveon and glaceon who are like peas in a pod and will go out to defend the other if something happend
Anyway you don't have to write it if you don't want to since its kinda long and have a good day/night 💜💛
Arven
Apparently saving a region from an ecological crisis wasn't your first rodeo..as you've done this in Galar too.
After sharing stories of how you became champion, prevented Chairman Rose from causing a second "Darkest Day" with Eternatus, revived the Hero Duo (with Zamazenta being living proof), etc...Arven's fully convinced you need a vacation.
Funny enough, Paldea was meant to be your fresh start and a way to begin your studies like a normal kid.
But of course that didn't happen.
Facing the Titan Pokémon together reminds you of the Dynamaxed ones, but you thanked Arceus they weren't that gigantic nor have any brutal G-Max moves.
When it comes to food, Arven learns you can make a mean curry dish, often trading each other recipes.
In fact, you've made so many types that your team is just happy to eat whatever you've cooked up.
Speaking of which..your current team is the same one from Galar. You decided they were ready for a new adventure in a new region by your side.
Inteleon, once a timid Sobble, tended to sneak bites of curry/sandwiches from the others, but otherwise acts like a cool older brother to your team.
His Snipe Shot is deadly and he lowkey missed being able to Gigantamax, although he likes how flashy he becomes when terastalized.
Zamazenta actually enjoys belly rubs, discovering this only after witnessing Arven give Mabosstiff pets on the stomach.
Gardevoir and Salazzle have been rivals since they were a Ralts and Salandit, having a few sparring matches during camps/picnics.
But trust they will BOTH go on the offense if anyone dared hurt the other. Arven witnessed this firsthand down in Area Zero when an Iron Hands attacked Salazzle with a ground move, and Gardevoir's Moonblast absolutely destroyed it.
Finally, Sylveon and Glaceon were two inseparable Eevees. You couldn't catch one without taking the other with you, and ever since then they've stuck together like glue, even evolving at the same time.
When Hop and Marni visited you in Paldea (whether to just travel or study abroad), Arven gets a little jealous that they were your friends before he was..but learns to get along with them.
Penny
Assuming she was studying abroad in Galar (after ditching Team Star) when the events of SWSH took place, she definitely would have seen your face around social media and on nearly ever TV station.
She knew you defeated Leon in the championship.
But she NEVER would've guessed it was you who also stopped the second Darkest Day from happening--and quelled Eternatus, of all things.
It was like you were the protagonist of some epic anime, doing all this heroic stuff yet being so casual when talking about it to her, Arven, and Nemona.
But she wants to hear all about your adventures!
Even though she was a little jealous you did all these cool things while she had to continue her studies.
She's thrilled to meet your Sylveon and Glaceon, finding their strong bond to be sweet and similar to her own Eeveelutions.
If you went to Crown Tundra, she immediately asks if you met her father and apologizes on his behalf if he was too overbearing.
But you amuse her with the story of how Calyrex kept temporarily possessing his body to speak to you.
The first time you brought out Zamazenta, Penny was a little intimidated by the way it looked at her menacingly...
Until it does the same thing Miraidon/Koraidon did to her during Operation Starfall:
And that is tackle her in kisses and icky wolf slobber.
She wonders why all your Legendaries do this to her..
Underneath the gruff, tough, and battle-hardened appearance, it turns out that it's really just a giant puppy longing to be spoiled like a Growlithe.
Nemona
Right from the get-go, she knew you were Galar's most recent champion and wanted to see how you fight.
Of course, that meant you had to adapt from the Dynamaxed battles you were so accustomed to and get used to Terastalized battles instead.
But you're a quick learner.
In fact your Inteleon, despite being at a disadvantage against her Pawmot, still managed to sweep half her team.
Sometimes you'll have your Paldea starter in your party in place of Zamazenta, but when you brought the shield wolf out for the first time during a picnic...Nemona was in awe.
"So THIS is one of the legendary heroes that Ms. Raifort taught us about????" She gawks, especially as you bring out the rusted shield and let it transform.
Penny made a good point: you may as well be a modern-day hero of Galar yourself!
She also wanted to hear all about your trials and tribulations with the gym challenge, having seen your battle on television and how Leon congratulated you for winning the championship.
Ngl it made her tear up the first time she rewatches it with you, proud of how you were still eager to finish it even though the Second Darkest Day interrupted the match and almost destroyed the whole region.
It lowkey made her feel bad when you, her, and the others had to go down to Area Zero and prevent another disaster that would've also unleashed dangerous Pokémon all across the region...
Yeah, you definitely needed a break and a chance to feel like a normal trainer.
And what better way to do that than to battle Nemona again and again?
Kieran
When you first met in Kitakami, you never struck him as the type to be Galar's Champion (as well as its savior from the second Darkest Day--the first one being an event he read about in books).
It's not something you liked to brag about anyways. So you downplayed your experiences while talking to him during the signboard project.
All he knew was that you lived in Galar and participated in the gym challenge. That's it.
Only when you show up to BB Academy does he overhear people talking about you like you're some celebrity, and he realizes you've been keeping even more secrets from him...
"Did you hear?? The Galar Champion is joining the league club!"
"I heard they reawakened Zacian and Zamazenta! They brought the heroes of Galar back to life!"
He refuses to believe it up until the moment you two battle, where Gardevoir and Salazzle worked incredibly well together, before you sent out Zamazenta near the very end.
Ofc Kieran is FURIOUS, screaming about how you lied to him yet again and "never changed".
"You told me you were just a normal kid from Galar...WHAT ELSE HAVE YOU BEEN KEEPING FROM ME?!!"
It's so unfair. You're hailed as a hero in a different region, you held two (and eventually three) champion titles, AND you have Zamazenta on your side...while he's a nobody from Kitakami who gave up so much and worked so hard--only to realize he'll never be even half as great as you.
How could he ever be like you with so many achievements under your belt?
But after you two become friends again (with you apologizing for not fully telling him the truth about yourself), Hop called you in hopes of visiting the academy's Terarium to research the Pokémon there.
You introduce him to Kieran, and they have a long chat about their rivalry with you.
Things get a little awkward when Hop rambles about his constant losses against you and his desires to become stronger (plus his struggle to step out of Leon's shadow), only to find his true calling as a professor in the end.....before asking Kieran how he coped.
"...oh um...I-I didn't really cope that well. I got jealous and bitter and..let's just say I wasn't very nice to [y/n]." He mutters, feeling ashamed.
"Awh really? But you seem like a nice chap now!" Your Galarian rival/friend tries cheering him up, although he understood his pain and felt that same humiliation several times before.
But Kieran did learn a thing or two from him, just like he did from Nemona. Battling was still his calling, but he forgot how to have fun with it, and he needed that reminder.
He mentions trading you an Applin, and Hop does a spit-take, asking if he knew what that meant (or if you told him).
If so, then he congratulates you both on your new relationship.
If not, then you let Kieran google it on your rotomphone...
Before he buries his face into Zamazenta's fur a few seconds later, trying to hide his worsening blush while you and Hop just laugh.

I find it interesting Lily is suddenly claiming Gardevoir is a representation of the abuse Courtney allegedly inflicted on her when she responded to an ask with, uh, this. https://archive.ph/eCB7I
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I stand by my belief that Lily had zero forethought when she made Madhouse, and is only adding the idea that it was based off her own abuse to add weight to her own accusations—unfortunately for her, she’s done talked up the comic enough that people can easily find where she contradicts that idea.

:{ A Video file is embedded. Valencia Island, Orange Archipelago. 8/29/24 1:03 am. }:
There's a stillness, a weight that sits as heavy as the thick fog that creeps over the gentle waves of the moonlit sea. Even through the recording the tense atmosphere is hard to ignore, the two figures sitting on the low brick wall watch as the local lapras and lapup doze in the warm waters as if desperate to look anywhere but at each other. The smaller figure, Casi, risks a glance over, but if the gardevoir notices she does not react.
“Rose, I-” Casi falters, the sound of his own voice so loud in the silence seems to startle even himself. He shakes his head trying to focus but something seems to interrupt his train of thought, and he looks over more attentively at the pokemon beside him.
Rose makes no move to look at Casi.
“I'm here because we have to talk about this sometime and I'd prefer it to be now before you come home with us.” It’s hard to tell from where we watch whether he is trying to convince Rose or himself. “Once I have a talk with Ivy we're leaving Valencia.”
“What do you mean no?” There’s a slight incredulousness to Casi’s voice, and he turns to look at the taller pokemon that seems to be paying him no real attention. “You want to come home don't you?”
Casi flinches, something in the unheard response striking a nerve. “I'm not leaving without you. If I had any intention of doing that I would've left months ago when you wouldn't even stay in the same room as me.”
It seems whatever response that the pokemon wanted to hear, this simply wasn’t good enough. She sighs, the statue stillness broken as she turns away from him. There's a quiet moment, as if Casi is waiting on something.
“I was... scared before.” Casi doesn't seem proud of his own answer, hesitating and scratching wrist with his opposite hand. “I got in too deep and by the time I realized that much it didn't feel like there was any time left. So I panicked and left. Thought maybe leaving a note would make up for it but…”
Rose tenses, an angry tremor in her shoulders and what we can see of her expression narrows.
“It was a mistake. Leaving you like that without an explanation... And it was a mistake not going back on it once I realized that too. Then life got in the way and…” Casi’s hands ball up in his lap and his body tenses as his words shift from trying to convince to a more uncomfortable tone, every word careful, like it has to be forced from him. “Did you ever see the newspapers that came out? All the ones saying Melody died..?”
This question seems to catch Rose off guard, perhaps a nerve touched, and she blinks as she looks back at him, some small guard lowering as she finally seems interested in what he may say.
“...I thought it was too late to go back. Which was still cowardly of me. I mean that was... Three years in between that? At least. Maybe less honestly. And all the things I thought I was going back to went up in smoke the moment I got home... I lost my job. One boss had disappeared, the other suffered from some sort of..” He makes some vague gesture with his hand, as if the rolling of his wrist would conjure the Unovan word he's looking for. Eventually he seems to find it, or something close enough. “Mental breakdown I guess. Fired everybody pretty much on a whim. Left Aracelis to care for his son while he worked in Area Zero alone and then when Aracelis left it... Fell to me. For a while.”
It seemed for a short moment like perhaps Casi had broken through Rose’s defenses, but as the words tumbled from his mouth, whatever small opening that he had made slammed shut once again. As hard as it may be to read her body language, the way she shrank back into herself, arms in front of her left little to be questioned.
“I... Yeah... He's um.. The point is I didn't make the best choices and I can't take them back. I can't pretend that I did right by you or Melody or anyone and when I found out that you were still around I insisted I come along.. Because I can't fix what I did before but the least I could do was make sure you get to come home to A.. Amy. To Amy.”
Casi’s voice quiets as he stumbles over the words, and there's a sincerity as he continues.“You don't have to forgive me, but I wanted to at least see you again.”
Rose won’t look at him, but there's something sad in the way she holds herself that seems to resonate with Casi, his expression becoming more determined and his words more forceful and genuine.
“You can leave, I'm going to make sure of it. Ivy can argue all she wants but there's no justifiable reason to continue to keep you here. You and Miairu aren't dangerous and I find it hard to believe your needs are being met on Valencia if she believes that you somehow are. I'm not giving up on that even if you decide you never want to speak to me again.”
There’s a long pause, Rose staring out over the water as her hand brushes up and down her opposite arm, as if thinking.
Casi Visibly chokes up at whatever response he hears, and he has to swallow back the tears that threaten to fall. They both stare out at the fog rolling across the water for a long while before Casi manages “...I’m sorry.”
Casi looks over at Rose, reacting to some unheard statement. His words feel carefully picked, deliberate as if sorting out his own thoughts in real time. “It's hard watching someone deteriorate like that... Not knowing what to do. Not knowing if there's anything you can do... And you were just a Kirlia back then. At least for part of it.”
Rose looks down at her hands, focusing so intently on them that it almost looks as if she’s ignoring Casi, if not for his responses.
“...I really hurt her. Didn't I? I hurt you.” There's a settling tinge of disbelief in his words, and Casi seems to make no attempt to conceal from Rose that fact.”After spending so much time trying to be a part of her life I sort of assumed she'd get over me. That all the sweet talking aside she didn't... Care.”
Now it's Rose's hands that shake, her eyes that water. What walls she has been keeping up seem to crumble down as she tries desperately to hold them together. Casi takes her hand and through his own tears runs a thumb over her hand in what he hopes is a comforting gesture. His voice is weak now, a tremble running through them as he forces out the words. “I'm here now. I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry Rose.”
Rose makes a real audible sound for the first time since Casi joined her here, and it's almost startling how the quiet sob can sound so extremely loud in the openness of this space. She leans into Casi, folding down into the smaller figures arms as he hugs her close, gentle despite his own obvious pain. She seems so much smaller as her tears fall. It takes a few moments for their shaking breaths to settle enough to speak at all.
“I won't.” Casimir's voice is soft and broken, the words a promise of the most serious kind. “I'm not going to leave you here. No matter what it takes, we're going to bring you home.”
Rose nods weakly into his shoulder, her shuddering breaths slowly coming back under control. She makes no effort to pull away, and for a few peaceful moments all that can be heard are the quiet waves below and a soft, hummed melody.
[Transcript ends.]
// here's the full story with rose's side of the argument! Telepathy isn't recorded on video.
“Rose, I-” Casi falters, the sound of his own voice so loud in the silence seems to startle even himself. He shakes his head trying to focus but something seems to interrupt his train of thought, and he looks over more attentively at the pokemon beside him.
[Why are you here?] There’s not much emotion in her ‘voice’.
[No.] Rose doesn’t move or react, but she sounds harsher, just barely.
“What do you mean no?” There’s a slight incredulousness to Casi’s voice, and he turns to look at the taller pokemon that seems to be paying him no real attention. “You want to come home don't you?”
[Why are you here? Why bother now. You should have left again.]
Casi flinches, something in the unheard response striking a nerve. “I'm not leaving without you. If I had any intention of doing that I would've left months ago when you wouldn't even stay in the same room as me.”
[That’s not an answer.]
It seems whatever response that the pokemon wanted to hear, this simply wasn’t good enough. She sighs, the statue stillness broken as she turns away from him. There's a quiet moment, as if Casi is waiting on something.
[... Why did you leave? Why not now.]
“I was... scared before.” Casi doesn't seem proud of his own answer, hesitating and scratching wrist with his opposite hand. “I got in too deep and by the time I realized that much it didn't feel like there was any time left. So I panicked and left. Thought maybe leaving a note would make up for it but…”
[How could it?]
[Not then. Later. I didn't mean to.]
“...I thought it was too late to go back. Which was still cowardly of me. I mean that was... Three years in between that? At least. Maybe less honestly. And all the things I thought I was going back to went up in smoke the moment I got home... I lost my job. Left Aracelis to care for his son while he worked in Area Zero alone and then when Aracelis left it... Fell to me. For a while.”
[A…son.]

Casi’s voice quiets as he stumbles over the words, and there's a sincerity as he continues.“You don't have to forgive me, but I wanted to at least see you again.”
[I can't leave. You should go back to your family.] It's not really possible for telepathy to have a volume, exactly, but if it could Casi would swear that this was quieter.
[I wish we had left too.]
Casi Visibly chokes up at whatever response he hears, and he has to swallow back the tears that threaten to fall. They both stare out at the fog rolling across the water for a long while before Casi manages “...I’m sorry.”
[She got bad, after. Quiet. She wouldn't say, but I knew. Can't hide them from me.]
He was never good at hiding his surface level emotions, and he was making absolutely no attempt to conceal them right now. There was grief resting there. Older than a lot of the emotions he's been letting bubble up to the surface.
[I tried. Turned it down, made it quiet. I don't know if it helped.]
Rose looks down at her hands, focusing so intently on them that it almost looks as if she’s ignoring Casi, if not for his responses.
There's what seems like a memory here, Shared through her telepathy. The vantage point is much lower than one might expect. Aiko sits on the bare bed of an absolutely ruined room, holding something in her hands, nearly shaking with anger. Images flash here and there of the rampage that led to this, torn cloth and books scattered from desks. A kirlia's hand settles on Aiko's arm and the shaking starts to settle
Care.”
He isn't sure what Rose can see, if anything, in his memory. It's not strictly visual to begin with. It's more focused on feelings. Snippets of things. Little interactions between Casi and the shiny Kirlia. The two of them making blackout poetry, doing puzzles, buying food, getting kicked out of the library. There was care there. Patience. Understanding.
[She didn't want... I didn't want... you to go.]
Her voice can't break, thought alone is immune to the weaknesses of the body and yet she struggles to put her sentences together, to translate her thoughts into what is not the most natural way for her to speak. Instead there is pain, loneliness, worry, anger, all spilling out all at once and nearly overwhelming to Casi's senses. Nights of empty rooms flashing by, any company never staying more than needed. Never paying them any real care. It becomes clearer that Aiko never let anyone else close enough to.
It's a flood of both their thoughts, their pain, their grief, their memories of the closeness they had and the longing to have it back. It seems like more is being communicated non verbally than there is verbally, but Casi still makes the effort to speak those feelings out loud.
[Don't... leave. me. Don't leave. Don't leave me. Here.
Please.]
Casi can feel the smallest doubt in the fear that already grips her that Rose seems unable or unwilling to hide in this state of openness that she so rarely allows anymore. But that pales in comparison to the longing that she feels for the comfort that Casi offers. Something she couldn't believe she would ever have again. A thank you doesn't need to be spoken when it is felt so deeply.

i gotta come back to HER for a second cuz bro.
Tumblr media
This post is from someone she blocked. I know who posted it, I keep forgetting to actually make us mutuals lmfao.
Genuinely, after what you've written and clearly deleted in a defensive matter (because it sucks and totally absolutely zero other reason *wink*), you cannot be shocked that people would say this shit homes. Stop feeding the people who very clearly dislike you cuz you're literally just adding fuel to the fire.
And now I gotta clap back somehow, so, since I feel like I won't post about her for months again: You have no swag. Your content has absolutely no sauce, so it's just plain as fuck so as a 'spice' you added heroin and fed it to the unsuspecting. You had to spike their food to make them come back.
(i just found this on @/sodapoporoni's blog i do not care to go the lengths to make a stupid god damn alternate account to make fun of a fucking 30 year old woman. look i need to get my shit together but COME ON dog you're beefing with actual children. literally school playground shit. (there is a joke to be made there. i will not make the joke.))
(also i fuckin dare you to say i need my jaw cracked with a shovel again over some badly written gardevoir, square up you pussy ass bitch. I'd be so down to see you try.)

we're just over a day in and I'm feeling indescribable dread at some of the contestants in the Mousepad Mistake, but we move
here are our candidates so far
2B
Tohsaka Rin
Meilin Biltruf (the thought of drawing my own anime mousepad is really funny I'll admit)
Gardevoir, but a specific one
Father Nier[1]
Zero Two or Akiha[2]
Kotonoha Katsura
Mori Calliope
I'm identifying a few serious threats here that might sweep if they aren't knocked out in the patrons-only stage of voting, but it's gonna be goofy either way
[1]: I'll have to think about asking this be amended to Brother Nier, because otherwise I know it'd sweep. I'm fine with making an exception to the male character ban in this case though
[2]: I am staring really hard at this one and hoping you settle on Akiha. I am burning holes in my screen, but Zero Two wouldn't be THAT catastrophic as long as the public poll doesn't breach containment

Pokemon Card of the Day #3082: Alolan Ninetales-GX (Lost Thunder)
Tumblr media
Alolan Ninetales-GX was able to fetch Items from the deck once. While it was limited to when it evolved, being able to get said Items was often quite powerful. Some decks would likely include a line of Alolan Ninetales-GX just to do that. There wasn't a lot of power here though if not up against an Ultra Beast, however, and you were using a bit of deck space for a Stage 1 line. This meant that there were some things to take into account even though the effect was still rather powerful.
200 HP was reasonable on a Stage 1 Pokemon-GX, and would generally survive a good hit but not 2. The number was a lot less sturdy once Zacian V was released, but decks using Alolan Ninetales-GX were already a lot less popular by then due to the game around it revolving so much around Basic Pokemon, many of which weren't Ultra Beasts. The Metal Weakness, as a result, wasn't too big of a deal outside of the occasional Magnezone deck as other Metal decks were about stalling. The Darkness Resistance made it slightly harder for Zoroark-GX to break through, but 2 full-powered attacks still worked so it simply lowered the margin of error to zero. The Retreat Cost here was 2, and since Alolan Ninetales-GX was only attacking in specific situations you'd probably want some way to switch it out if you could fit it.
Mysterious Guidance was an Ability that worked when playing Alolan Ninetales-GX from your hand to evolve 1 of your Pokemon, which did limit how easy it was to use it. That limit was needed, as the Ability was quite powerful. It let you search your deck for up to 2 Item cards to put into your hand, which could let you get all sorts of things. It could get you something as simple as an Ultra Ball, giving an extra out to whatever other Pokemon you wanted to evolve. If pairing this with a Stage 2 Pokemon like Gardevoir-GX or Decidueye-GX, you could get Rare Candy. If behind, Counter Catcher was an option. 2 Items was very helpful thing to have access to, and certain decks that weren't just trying to speed through with Basic Pokemon and needed to set up loved having that extra way to find resources.,
The main attack here was far less exciting. Snowy Wind required a Fairy and a Colorless Energy to do 70 damage as well as 30 to a Benched Pokemon. It was rather weak compared to other things you'd probably have access to and was limited to occasionally setting damage up for a KO elsewhere.
The GX attack here was very match-up specific. Sublimation GX needed the same Fairy and Colorless Energy, and if the opponent's Active Pokemon was an Ultra Beast it was simply Knocked Out. This was good if you could get in there against a Naganadel-GX or Blacephalon-GX, and was generally something to keep in mind when both using this card and facing it while running a certain sort of deck.
Alolan Ninetales-GX was a rather common inclusion in SUM-On Stage 1 decks since it provided an extra draw into ways to get the rest of the deck going. While there was always the risk of just drawing into the Ninetales and not hitting a way into the Vulpix (or Ditto Prism Star) needed, the positive scenario was generally more likely. Alolan Ninetales-GX mostly disappeared after the rotation, as the game shifted so heavily to decks that just set up Basic Pokemon and didn't have the outs to evolving things as much that this card was quite a bit less useful. For that one format, however, this was a really nice card for some good decks, and getting 2 Items would always be useful in some capacity.

Note
Paradise of the Strong X Heroes and Pokémon:
Izuku, still shaky after almost being kidnapped and immediately going from zero to 60: well, Gardevoir, looks like we have to overthrow the HPSC now.
Gardevoir, who’s wanted to commit unspeakable violence against society at large since the first time Izuku cried about the way he was treated for having a “worthless quirk that only gives you pets”: >:D
Incredible
