Phantom is a member of JLA when everyone finds out that the Bats have contingency plans against everyone else.

While everyone else is shouting about trust and betrayal, Danny can't help but be relieved. He's seen his bad future, after all. Dan is reformed now, but that doesn't retroactively save the timeline he wiped out.

Danny only has one issue with the contingencies for him: Batman mistakenly believes that his intangibility works the same as Martian density shifting.

It doesn't. In fact, they're very different powers. Intangibility is more of a phase shift where he turns his physical form into energy.

This means that none of the contingencies in his file will work because they don't accurately account for one of his basic powers.

(The shouting actually gets derailed for a bit when he brings it up. All the scientists are a bit horrified about the implied energy conversions happening whenever he uses this "basic" power. As a halfa with an actual physical form, Danny should be giving off enough energy to blow up the planet whenever he transforms.)

Heartbeat

The background shifts to white and shows adult Vash, sitting shirtless with his knees pulled up to his chest. The heartbeat sound continues only to be interrupted by knocking. Wolfwood, from outside the bathroom, asks, "Hey blondie! You fell asleep in there?"

The scene expands to reveal Vash sitting curled up in the bathtub, shower spraying on the back of his head. His clothes are left aimlessly on the bathroom counter and floor. From outside the bathroom, Wolfwood, shrugging of his jacket, continues, "… The sand steamer leaves at dawn tomorrow so don't take all night. I'm not waking you up gently if you're late." Vash's eyes continue to look downward, glazed and unfocused. Step sound effects and a yawn sound from outside the bathroom before Wolfwood says, "'m going to bed…". In the tub, Vash sits curled up against a dark background, before eventually lifting his head and unfurling himself as the background grows lighter.

He twists around to turn off the shower and then looks at the floor, going, "Ah." He sits, thinking, before calling out "Wolfwood?". A sleepy Wolfwood replies, "…yeah?" from offscreen. "I forgot my towel!" Vash exclaims. "Ugh, look under your change of clothes… Knew you'd forget so I left it there…" a grouchy Wolfwood replies. "Gee, thanks!" Vash replies, a cartoony doodle of him saying "so reliable!".

Vash, shirtless but with sleep pants on, opens the door, towel draped over his head, to see Wolfwood, reclining on the bed. Wolfwood's smoking and holding his rosary, lit by the light from the bathroom. Vash climbs into bed next to him, towel still around his shoulders, and rests his head on Wolfwood's chest. His eyes close and then open to see Wolfwood watching him. Vash exclaims, "Oh! It's speeding up!, and Wolfwood bonks him on the head before saying, "Get on here since ya wanna be so up close 'n personal!". The two tussle briefly and Vash laughs before Wolfwood tucks the blanket around them. Wolfwood continues to smoke as Vash curls up against his chest and listens to his heartbeat, the background turning black once again as he smiles, content. /end id]

Late night young zero doodles

last night I kinda got carried away doodling X1-Zero XD

some head canons here: -Zero really admired Storm eagle and a bunch of his attitudes take after him too, so he was kinda like a role model for him for a time or even a small first crush. he also likes planes and the concept of flying so of course he was a bit smitten by one of the coolest flying reploids around 😆

-another one is that, one time X was feeling insecure about his abilities, and asked Zero if he could help him improve by training him

and Zero was smiling like the sun at that😆 X had never seen him smile that way before, and turns out Zero didn't realize it until that moment just how much he wanted to test X on battle lol

so he makes a training stage on the training center just for X, it was very challenging but he passed it and that the end, Zero is waiting in the boss room, X realizes that he has to fight him and Zero confesses why he was exited about this, ever since the moment they met, he felt a small urge he couldn't completely tell what it was so when he asked him, he just realized of what it was, he feels X has great potential and encourages him to give his best in the fight.

X is admittedly pretty exited about this too, if he doesn't have to actually hurt someone X can be passionate about fighting too, Zero is someone who sorta ignites this side of him. and yeah he loses but Zero didn't expect him to win, he's sure X can get better and he's looking forward to see X improve on the areas he's lacking

X somehow feels like the bond between them has become stronger after this point
