It's #worldmentalhealthday and I find it so important to bring attention to mental health, and it's a big reason why I was inspired to start teaching Zentangle and mindfulness. I have so many friends and family that live and struggle with depression, anxiety, and even run-of-the-mill stress. Don't forget to take time for self-care through meditation, prayer, talking to a friend or even just turning off the social media machine for a few hours. For me, it's breaking out my pens and paper and turning off the electronics- I tangle, doodle, meditate and journal myself to center. So here's my short-story!!! Years ago, when all my buddies were flying off to countries to study/work, I felt so proud of them, to be able to make it by joining the bits and pieces. So, at the airport, when my husband dropped me off n we bade goodbye for a short while, tears filled my eyes and I cried there! Here, I was making, a very short My Own Purposeful trip. Now, I am proud of me that I didn't stop Educating Myself after my college years.
