Everything about the space was crafted to exude intimacy and warmth, inviting open conversation.

Drew Starkey entered the room first, his usual calm confidence mingled with a tinge of nervous energy. He smoothed his shirt absentmindedly and scanned the setup, trying to ground himself in the moment. He was used to being in front of cameras, but this felt different. This wasn’t just about promoting a project or answering rapid-fire questions on a press junket. This was you.

“Hello,” Drew started, a smile gracing his features as he took in the fact that he was sitting right in front of his number one celebrity crush. His hand hovered awkwardly in a small wave, as if he couldn’t believe this was real.

“Good to know.” He chuckled, his shoulders relaxing slightly. “How are you doing?”

“I’m great, thank you. What about you?”

“Pretty good, can’t complain.” A laugh bubbled out of him, and subsequently, you. The way he rubbed the back of his neck made you think he was still pinching himself that this was happening.

The cameras rolled, capturing the easy charm and immediate chemistry between the two of you. 

Drew’s grin widened as he began. “First of all, let me just say—I’m completely starstruck right now. I mean, the way you completely own every role you take on... it’s incredible.”

Your eyes widened in surprise, a bashful laugh escaping as you waved off the compliment. “Oh, stop it. You’re making me blush!”

“I’m serious,” he pressed, leaning forward slightly. “You’re like… the blueprint. If I ever get even halfway to where you are, I’ll consider myself lucky.”

“Well, now you’re just flattering me,” you said, your voice teasing but your cheeks undeniably warm. “But thank you, that’s so sweet. And honestly, you’re being way too hard on yourself. You’re incredible in Queer. You’ve got this natural charm that just lights up the screen.”

“Natural charm, huh?” He smirked, pretending to preen, which made you laugh again. “I’ll take that.”

“Good,” you replied, smiling. “You should, because it’s true.”

Drew’s gaze softened, the teasing giving way to something more earnest. “That means a lot, really. Especially coming from you. You’re like… Hollywood royalty to many.”

You tilted your head, a playful smirk tugging at your lips. “To many, huh? And are you part of this many?”

Drew’s eyes widened, and he laughed, a little caught off guard. “Oh, absolutely. I’ve got a lifetime membership to the fan club.”

“Good to know,” you teased, crossing your legs and leaning back in your chair with an air of mock superiority. “I’ll have to start charging you membership fees.”

“Totally worth it,” he shot back, his grin widening.

“Well, thank you,” you said with a soft laugh, “So, we’ve both got some things in common, which I think is pretty cool.”

“Like working with Daniel Craig?” he asked.

“Yes! Honestly, I still reminisce about our time on set… he’s genuinely incredible, isn’t he?”

“He is, yeah. I found myself just admiring him and sort of forgetting I had to act too. He’s just… he’s on another level, for sure.”

“Daniel’s a master of his craft… Most of my scenes as Paloma in No Time To Die were with him, and at first I was so nervous because, like, what if I messed up in front of the Daniel Craig?” Drew let out a laugh at your words, and you couldn’t help but laugh too. “But when he noticed I was nervous he reassured me that it was all good. He’s just the best.”

“You’ve worked with so many high-profile actors.” You nod slightly at his words, as if it were the most common thing in the world. “Are you always nervous when meeting them, or was it just a Daniel thing?”

“It wasn’t just Daniel, no, but I think it depends. For example, when I did Oppenheimer with Cillian Murphy, for some reason I felt more relaxed… even though I had some nude scenes with him.”

“Nude scenes just make you connect, don’t they?” he joked, leaning back with a sly grin.

“They do, actually,” you replied, leaning into the banter. “You’d think they’d be worse, but honestly, with the amount of seriousness and concentration they take, it’s like you don’t have time to be nervous.”

“You clearly pulled it off flawlessly,” Drew said with mock solemnity. 

“You did too in Queer.” You compliment him, “I watched it a few days ago, and the chemistry you had with Daniel was just off the charts.”

Drew’s face lit up, a mix of pride and bashfulness crossing his features. “Daniel’s an amazing scene partner. He really made it easy for me to tap into everything.”

“Well, it shows,” you said. “It was such a raw and beautiful performance. I might’ve shed a tear or two.”

“Okay, now you’re just trying to make me blush,” Drew teased, pointing at you with a playful squint. “But seriously, that means a lot coming from you.”

“It was a lot of journaling, a lot of talking with Luca about backstory and motivations,” Drew explained, his tone more thoughtful. “And honestly, I kind of drew from real-life experiences. Not the exact ones, obviously, but just feelings of vulnerability and… wanting to be understood.”

“That’s beautiful,” you said softly, your smile turning tender. “It’s amazing how much of ourselves we pour into these characters.”

“Exactly,” Drew agreed. “And sometimes it’s terrifying, but when it resonates with people, it feels worth it.”

“It definitely resonated with me,” you assured him. “And I’m sure with countless others too.”

You leaned forward, intrigued. “So that’s what pulled you in? Drama class?”

“Pretty much,” he said with a nod. “And then I went to Western Carolina for college. I double-majored in English and theater, thinking, ‘If this acting thing doesn’t work out, I’ll at least have a backup plan.’”

“That’s so realistic of you,” you said with a laugh. “Meanwhile, I was ten, telling anyone who’d listen that I was going to win an Oscar one day.”

“And look at you now,” Drew said, gesturing to you with an almost reverent smile. “You made it happen.”

Every episode is another chapter, so you can explore new facets of them and keep the audience hooked for longer periods of time. But movies, they’re this intense sprint. You have to get everything across in just two hours or so, but in a way that feels just as layered and satisfying.”

Drew's eyes lit up with excitement, clearly passionate about the topic. "Exactly! You have to balance the action and suspense while still giving the characters these moments of vulnerability. Over multiple seasons, you can really let them grow and change. It's like a slow burn. But when you're doing a movie, you don’t have the luxury of that buildup. “That’s one of the biggest challenges of film, for sure," you agreed. "In a film, every second counts. You can’t afford to waste a moment. You nodded and hugged everyone goodbye before heading to your driver's car. It was at least midnight by the time you got back to your boyfriend's home that he shared with his best mates.

You and Tom had been dating for nearly a year and had done an impressive job of keeping your relationship away from prying eyes. With only a few suspicions here and there, the public saw you two as best friends and nothing more.

In his king sized bed, Tom was on Instagram live chatting with his fans. He needed a way to pass the time as he waited for you to come home from the studio.

"Why am I up so late? Jet lag sucks, guys." Tom lied to his fans.

He hasn't been on a plane in weeks.

"Is anyone in the house awake? Nope. They all sleep at, like, eleven or earlier. Party poopers." he frowned to the camera.

You quietly unlocked the front door, trying your best to not wake anyone in the house. Tiptoeing towards Tom's bedroom, you saw that his light was on, peeking out from under his door. With furrowed eyebrows you opened the door and saw him sitting against the headboard on his phone.

He smiled when he saw you, completely forgetting about his live, "Hi, darling. I missed you," he put his phone down and pecked your lips, "Did you get driven here?" you nodded, "You should've sent me a text," he picked up his phone and glanced at the screen, "I could've—" he froze.

You finished tying your hair up and looked at him with confusion written across your features. You opened your mouth to ask him what was wrong before he slapped a hand over your lips.

He looked at you with wide eyes, "I'm live on Instagram." he whispered.

You had to choke down a laugh because you knew the fans would recognize the sound immediately. You managed to peak at the screen without being in the cameras view and the comments had you struggling to keep your laughter down.

'HE HAS A GF???????'

Tom opened and closed his mouth like a fish as he tried to come up with something, anything, to say. "Um, looks like I'll be going now. Thank you for joining and I'll see you all very soon." He had a sheepish grin as he spoke.

You smirked before speaking. "Bye guys." And pressed the button to end the live. Not waiting to see the reactions to your voice or if they would recognize it.

Tom wrapped his arms around your waist and pulled you on top of him, "Cheeky one, you are." he placed a kiss on your forehead as you smiled into his chest.

Warning: This article contains full spoilers for Dune: Part 2 and Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning.

In case you haven’t noticed, Dune is on top of the world right now. The much acclaimed and very lucrative second installment, Dune: Part 2, wraps up Denis Villeneuve’s take on the first book in Frank Herbert’s iconic science-fiction saga, setting the stage for the all but inevitable next film to tackle the second book, Dune Messiah. As IMAX theaters continue to fill up with Dune fans eager for a close-up look at Shai-Hulud, studio executives all over Hollywood will certainly be looking at what happened here to see if they can replicate Dune’s success with future projects. Beyond “letting directors make the movies they want to make” and “audiences are getting tired of formulaic franchise movies with dull visuals,” there’s one other element that stands out as a bit easier to implement…

The obvious answer is to cast Rebecca Ferguson in your movie.

Looking back at Ferguson’s Lady Jessica in both Dune Parts 1 and 2, she stands out not just as the best performance among an incredibly stacked cast, but also as a critical part of the film’s press tour through her chaotic energy and memeable personality. How did this Swedish sensation secure her place as the MVP of the Dune franchise? Let’s take a look.

That’s Mother (of the Messiah)

Over the course of both Dune films, which run about five hours in total, we run into a wide array of colorful characters played by a murderer’s row of Hollywood’s current top talent. However, many of the characters are either exclusive to one installment, go long stretches of the runtime without being seen, and in some special cases like Anya Taylor-Joy’s appearance as Alia, are clearly setups for films yet to come. Even Zendaya as Chani, who is credited as co-lead in Part 2, is restricted mostly to a handful of dream sequences in Part 1. However, the one character relationship that exists as the strongest throughline from the beginning of Paul Atreides’ journey all the way to its culmination in this first story is that of Paul and his mother, Lady Jessica of the Bene Gesserit.

n a film where many of the emotional beats can get drowned out a bit by the expansive backdrops and dour atmosphere, the foundational scenes of Part 1 illustrating the contradictory relationship between mother and son stand out as some of the film’s best. Jessica bore Paul out of love for his father, Leto, consciously choosing to grant him a son when she was instructed to do otherwise, and she cares for Paul’s safety above all others. At the same time, she is also a cunning manipulator who has been training Paul in the superhuman abilities of her order against their wishes, and grooming him for a dark destiny that the young Atreides spends much of the two films hoping to avoid. Jessica is simultaneously driven by a genuine love for her son and a desire to facilitate his rise to power, and Ferguson walks the razor-wire line between these two aspects with pinpoint precision.

This continues into Part 2, where we see Jessica step into an even more overtly villainous role as she schemes her way into assuming the mantle of Reverend Mother of the Fremen. Her relationship with Paul becomes more antagonistic as she sets in motion the events that will lead to his accepting the role of Lisan al Gaib and challenging the Emperor, to the point of even being deemed a traitor to the Bene Gesserit despite ostensibly doing what they wanted by bringing the Kwisatz Haderach into existence. That Jessica has any sympathy from the audience – despite being a eugenicist and megalomaniac who usurped the religious leadership of an indigenous culture so her son could claim dominion of the universe almost purely out of her own vanity – all comes down to Ferguson imbuing her with inner life and dimension that makes us feel like we understand her even when the script doesn’t actually give us every detail about her motivations.

From her recurring role as Ilsa Faust in the Mission: Impossible movies to portraying main villain Rose the Hat in Mike Flanagan’s Doctor Sleep, and now playing Lady Jessica in the Dune films, Ferguson has always been at her best when she takes on characters with a darker edge to their persona that she can contrast with her natural charm. Although Ilsa is more heroic than the other two, all three of these roles intrigue the audience, and the other characters they interact with, through seductive ambiguity, something Ferguson is better at than most of her contemporaries. But what makes this all the more interesting is that she’s seemingly an entirely different person off-camera, and one who is just as important to Dune’s success.

Princess of the Press Tour

As with all things, the true measure of a film’s success in the modern age is how many memes it spawns on social media. From one filmgoer riding a homemade sandworm at his local AMC to jokes about Stilgar’s somewhat overzealous dedication to his prophet, there’s no shortage of humor from fans sharing their responses to Villeneuve’s latest epic. However, one member of the cast is bringing her own brand of comedy to the party, and that’s none other than Rebecca Ferguson, who has taken to promotional interviews with an energy that can best be described as somewhere along a spectrum between “unconventional” and “frankly chaotic.” Not that there’s anything wrong with her having a goofy side to her; on the contrary, the impression she’s made on social media indicates she’s become a true fan favorite because of her behavior.

At a time when press tours are increasingly filled with inane questions and too many influencers at the expense of journalists, clips of Ferguson’s interviews where she reveals just how little of a filter she has have been one of the unsung joys of Part 2’s release. From admitting she still hasn’t read the novel even after making two movies, to texting Denis Villeneuve mid-interview to ask him the answer to a question she didn’t know, to even referencing MGM’s history of the casting couch after learning about the Dune popcorn bucket, Ferguson’s refreshing honesty and hilarious affability have stood out from the crowd amidst so many celebrities who have had much of their personalities sanded down by media training. These and other clips have been making the rounds online, keeping Dune-related media in the cultural conversation.

Given that many lesser films make “the mother of the main character” into a thankless role, Ferguson jumping in and stealing the show both on-screen and off is a reminder of how strange it is that so few Hollywood films have taken advantage of her talent. It also brings to mind how boneheaded of a move it was for the Mission: Impossible franchise to kill Ilsa off in such a haphazard way in Dead Reckoning. Now, to be fair, Ferguson has indicated she wanted to move on from the franchise after three installments, but there had to be a better send-off for her than to die mid-film in an incredibly hamfisted manner. We’re still interested in whatever happens next with the M: I franchise, but it’s a shame that an otherwise fine movie in Dead Reckoning is marred by how one of its star players was treated.

Regardless, it’s Mission’s loss and Dune’s gain, and paves the way for Ferguson to take on even more roles in the future. As Dune: Part 2 continues to gain accolades and box office momentum in part because of her contributions, hopefully the rest of Hollywood will follow in Villeneuve’s footsteps and clue in that this is one star worth investing in.

My question to that is, Anon, who has an issue with Z, why is you here lol? I find it crazy that with black entertainers, it's always some conspiracy for their success or career trajectory, but white entertainers do the bare minimum get very famous, and all is well. Nothing shady there.

Zendaya gets the brunt of hate because in that list, she is the only black person on it whereas there are alot of black actors male and female who are never going to get a puff piece like that. Zendaya is the best of her gen right now due to hard work and talent. Like colourism can only go so far cause why didn't colourism affect Naomi Campbell's career? I'm not dismissing disadvantages due to skin colour, but hollywod was never made out of fairness. It was made out of luck, hard work, but most of all talent. Anyway, regarding Zendaya and colorism in Hollywood... Sad to say, but that's a tale as old as time. I don't think Zendaya should be blamed or hated on because of it, but at the same time, I don't think there's anything wrong with pointing out the blatant and obvious colorism issues, not only in Hollywood, but in society just in general. 🤷🏾‍♀️

You brought up old stars who were famous in spite of their darker skin. Look, I've already stated on my blog several times that I almost feel like in some ways, we as a country are REGRESSING when it comes to race relations and colorism issues. Blame it on the internet culture these days (that wasn't the same back then) or on social media (which probably wasn't even around back then, at least not to the extent that it is today).

The interview starts with Sean Evans sat across from Y/n L/n in beige high waisted jeans that buttoned just above her belly button, hugging her curves, paired with a more neutral tone of brown small halter top along with the oversized dark denim jacket that no doubt belonged to Joseph. 

Her outfit was more comfortable, despite being pieced together perfectly, still having her fan favorite unique fashion touch with her new fresh light bleached blonde long locs that reached down to the curve of her bum.

"Hey, what's going on, everybody? From First We Feast, I’m Sean Evans, and you're watching Hot Ones. It's the show with hot questions and even hotter wings and today we’re joined by Y/n L/n. She’s a singer, fashion icon, and actress. You may recognize her from her most recent collaboration with Bruno Mars and Anderson Paak as well as her popular role as _____ on the seven-time Emmy award-winning global mega-hit show Stranger Things, which is making a return for its fourth season on Netflix May twenty-seven.” 

When Sean introduced her, a smile spread from her dark cherry-like glossed lips. The small glitter that set underneath the bed of her dark eyes glinted golden under the studio's lights, helping soften her features.

"Hello, Hi, thanks for having me." Y/n welcomed her looking like a natural on camera.

"I know that you're a fan of spicy foods, but how high would you say that your spice tolerance is?"

"Well, I wouldn't say that it's anything extreme, but I feel like I could handle myself a lot more than normally, like Joseph dies every time I put chili powder and hot sauce in the noodles."

"No, it's totally fine, oh you’re just finishing the whole thing okay." Sean looked impressed with the woman as she even sucked some of the sauce off her fingers without even a wince from the hot sauce.

"So I think it's interesting that you started singing and acting at such a young age, especially when a lot of people your age go straight to acting classes after school while other kids your age are at the playground or such. What are the pros and cons of being raised in that sort of hustling and strict environment? " Sean asks with his signature monotone voice, despite eating the same wing.

"Um, I have to admit it was a bit hard, especially being one of the few little black girls during my acting class days growing up. I really never had the opportunity to be a child and just make friends naturally. It was like I had an adult working schedule with the back-to-back bookings I had."

"Do you think that there's a lot of weight being put on child actors?"

Y/n licks her lips a bit, disregarding the gloss on them as her mouth pouts at the question in thought. "Oh hell yeah. I mean, sometimes you get kids younger than five years old pushing themselves because their parents forced this idea of fame and wealth into their heads."

From the passionate tone in her voice Y/n spoke strongly about the topic. Even with her mouth full, she used her hand to shield her mouth as she continued.

"Even with toddlers, it's like they have to look polished and perfect or else they won't make the cut, which is just so fucked to go through at such a young age."

As the second wing was introduced, Y/n actually gave Sean some time to catch up to her, "I love leg pieces so much." Taking a bite together before he asked her the question.

"Is it true that you almost missed your Strange Things audition because you were hanging with Zendaya?"

Y/n chuckled as the back of her pink tongue poked out of her lips, licking the front of her teeth.

"Oh lord, I was stuck in a whole different country with her when I got the call back and I had to act like I wasn't booking a whole flight the same day. It was all just too crazy."

"You said in an interview that you considered Zendaya to be a sort of older sister role model when it came to your experiences with acting. How much influence do you think she might have had on where you are currently in life?"

"That's a very good question. I think just growing up with strong, empowered women genuinely really shaped me to be the person that I am now. I definitely would not have won any of the awards or written the songs that I did without them breaking me from that stiff ass ex-child star mold that I used to be in." 

Viewers could tell that the question genuinely meant something to her, hesitating before she answered.

Y/n, like most child stars in the spotlight too young to be known to break from their lethal and unethical working contract after coming of age.

"I think it's important for anyone to have someone to look up to, especially a role model with some diversity that you can actually relate to."

The third wing is where the video was starting to finally build up, Y/n tilting her head to the side the moment her teeth had sunk into the boneless wing.

Her lashes fluttering, not being able to stop herself from blinking away the tears that she was quick to wipe away with a bend of her pointer finger.

"Ooh shit, it's getting kinda spicy now." A painful looking burp almost came from her throat. The video was edited with a dramatic sound effect as she went to cover her mouth with a wince, stifling her laughter.

"In Stranger Things, you play ___, a character that is iconic for her thick-rimmed glasses as well as her killer drumming skills. How challenging would you say it was to have to seemingly master a skill in such a short amount of time?" 

"It definitely was a really hard challenge, especially since I knew absolutely nothing nor even played an instrument other than, like, the piano classes I took in kindergarten. Having to learn the drums to the point where I was able to appear actually good took a lot of overnight practicing and a lot of chipped acrylic nails."

"Would you say that ___is one of the hardest roles that you have ever had?"

"She’s definitely climbing the ranks up there, but nothing could ever pass the amount of physical training I had to do for The Green Knight. I still hate working out to this day."

Y/n laughs despite her mouth falling into a slight grimace, her hands reaching up to fan herself as she starts to sweat in her chair, moving onto the fourth wing.

"So you’ve talked about always sort of being in the spotlight your entire life. How would you say you learned to juggle both that sort of privacy as well as staying true to your fans?"

"I will always be grateful for the amount of love that my supporters show me, but also being this person constantly being put on a pedestal, I learned that everything I do will always be judged or turn into headlines, which is why I'm very private with my life outside of acting." Y/n hissed as she stuck her tongue out, reacting to the spice before continuing.

"It took the internet almost 3 years to figure out that me and Joe were an official couple because I like to keep to myself and I think Hollywood has this thing where they like to backseat off of other people's lives, not releasing that we’re not just characters on a screen anymore."

"Is there a reason you and Joseph have kept your relationship secret for so long?"

"I wasn’t really trying to hide it. I honestly did not give a fuck after like the first couple of months. If anything, I was just waiting for people to catch on because, damn, I think we would just openly do shit in public just to get a reaction the next day."

As more spice entered into her system, the more laid back Y/n started to appear, her usual interview professional tone dropping once she was starting to get more comfortable.

The fifth wing was starting to get to her, Y/n squinting from how much her eyes were starting to water.

Her arms folding on top of the table after taking a big bite, her leg bouncing as she clutched onto the cup of water like her life depended on it.

"Oh dude, this is starting to fucking suck the whole ass cheek now." Y/n grunted, enticing a laugh from even some of the crew from behind the camera.

"Is it true that you had to reject the role as DC’s Bat-girl because you’re more of a Marvel fan?" Sean asked, taking a sip of his drink, "Y/n copying as she took a long swig of water. 

"Man, hell yeah, fuck DCU. I love Dick Grayson though that's my husband."

The sixth wing looked brutal as Y/n coughed after taking a big chunk, her leg jittering as her thigh shook.

Her eyes squeezing shut as right after she had swallowed, she reached for her cup of water and downed the entire thing before pouring more from the pitcher.

"Y’all are trying to fucking kill me, bro." She grunted, holding her stomach, "I’m gonna shit, like, hot lava or something after this man."

"So Y/n, you really did grow up acting, especially working with even the most iconic of directors for this generation. What drew you into working on such small roles—in terms of your other roles—like ___ and did you expect your character to have the massive amount of impact that she has today?"

"I was sort of looking for experience more than looking for money, which there's nothing wrong with wanting to get paid well, but I would much rather work with a script that I know I can add personality to and actually see a character come to life than work with this super popular casting that makes twice as much." Y/n coughed once more, a tear sliding down her cheek as she sniffed.

"Uh, when I finished getting the script, I was just stoked to be able to play ___ because she’s just so relatable to a lot of teenage girls that just feel stuck. I knew that she would be quite inspiring because of her constant quirky charisma but also because she’s just super fucking badass."

"So it's clear from your love of music and the massive amount of collabs you’ve done with other artists that you’re an amazing singer. Are there any types of music that you prefer to write or feel more comfortable with writing?"

"I fucking love writing R&B music or something like old school soul," Y/n raspied, her eyes a light shade of pink from how much she was tearing up.

"I think almost every song that I was on for Silk Sonic was like helping write my dream album. I genuinely fell in love with the entire album"

"Speaking of old school, the music videos released for the Silk Sonic album that you starred in had a sort of soul train 70s vibe to them. Was there an outfit that you really liked during one of the videos?"

"Yeah, in Smokin' Out The Window I had to wear this fucking perfect dark brown velvet dress with these expensive ass thigh high boots to match with everyone else with bougee ass shades. I looked like such a bad bitch."

"I did really like the music video for that song. It was really good."

"I know, I wrote it."

The woman whimpered, using a tissue to wipe her tears without smudging too much of her already ruined makeup, finishing the challenge as the last wing was bitten Y/n took one last swig of water before doing the outro.

"Holy shit. I just ate a shit ton of hot wings, so you better watch season four. You won't regret it. And I just rubbed my fucking eye on accident. I’m never eating hot wings again."

The video ends with another laugh pulled from the crew as Y/n finally burps, grunting after.

"So, what's on the agenda for today?" Tom settled in the car and looked over at Harry as he got in next to him.

Harry looks at his tablet, reading over the plans for the day. "Uhh, right now, we're headed to pick up your suit for Zendaya's party celebration thing, and then after, you're going to meet your Dancing With The Stars partner, and you guys can start practicing."

"Who am I getting partnered with?" Tom asks, answering a few texts as he listens to Harry.

"Her name is Y/n. She's been dancing for years and is known for her unique dancing style."

About two hours later, the car Tom and Harry are in pull up to a dancing studio. They get out and go inside, walking to where Harry got instructed in the messages for Tom. When they walk in, they see what looks like a dancing class in session.

"It says here we're to go around the back," Harry says, looking at his phone and then up for another door. He sees the door a few feet back and points, him and Tom walking toward it. It's unlocked, and they go inside, walking around the corner and seeing the dancing class again, a hallway separating the two, plus a door. They walk and see it's labeled "private dancing."

When they open the door, they find music playing and you. The boys watch as you dance in front of the mirror that stretches for the entire wall. You're wearing sweatpants and a loose crop top that ends a few inches above your waistline. The song is Don't Run Away, and they can tell you're into it, your body moving along with the hip-hop song, plus a smile on your face as you lipsynch the lyrics.

It's a few seconds before you notice the two boys. At a certain point, as you freestyle dance to the song, you turn your head and jump back a few inches when you see them. "O-oh, sorry," you stop dancing and walk to your phone, crouching down to pick it up and turn the song off. "I didn't expect you guys here yet," you laugh.

"Oh? Did we get the time wrong?" Tom frowns and leans over to look at Harry's phone.

"No, no. It's just usually," you pause, trying to find the right words, "the celebs don't tend to pay attention to the instructions I leave and will come through the front entrance. My sister owns the place, and that's her out there with her dancing class, who when they see a famous celebrity walking through the door go crazy, and they end up getting stuck out there doing autographs and pictures and stuff," you explain.

Both boys give an understanding nod. "You're a really great dancer. That was really good," Tom complemented, motioning behind you to the empty floor.

"Well, I'd hope so," you tease, making them both laugh. "Thanks."

"Alright, mate. I'll leave you two to it. I'll drop off the suit at the hotel, and I'll meet you back here later?" Harry says to Tom.

"Alright," he nods.

"Ok, well, I guess we can get started? Is there any questions you had or anything?" you ask Tom as you turn and walk into the middle of the room, turning back to him as he follows you.

"Nope. I'm all yours," he smiles.

You nod and pull out your phone, looking for a song to play. "I usually like to start with something general and get a feel for how you dance and then go from there," you explain. Tom nods and waits for you to choose a song. The song you end up putting on is Love Me Like You Do. Sure, it's a love song, but you're a professional, and you like it, so who cares.

Your phone syncs to the speakers, and you set it down, putting your arms out for Tom and steps closer. His touch is gentle as he puts one hand on your waist and the other in your hand. You're not quite sure what to expect from Tom, but he does surprise you. He immediately takes the lead, moving you around the room, twirling you a few times, and moving to the beat.

After the song ends, you part, both catching your breath for a moment. "You're great," you smile at him.

"Thanks, I did a little dancing when I was little," he says.

"Yeah, you're good, especially for that being our first run," you pick up your water bottle and drink some, also picking up your phone. "You just need to loosen up a bit, have fun," you laugh and pull up another song, this time only for fun to help him get comfortable. You turn on Yeah! by Usher and step back from Tom, starting to dance and feel the music.

"Loosen up, Holland," you laugh and grab his hand, pulling him to dance around with you. Tom rolls his eyes and laughs, following along with you. "Ok, ok, try this," you laugh and step back, showing him a move. Tom watches you with a smile and tries it himself, not fully getting it but not doing too bad. "Follow what I do," you laugh. You dance along to the song, laughing as Tom gets tired and can't keep up with you.

As the song comes to an end, you continue to dance flawlessly, and when it ends, you laugh and look at Tom, who's tired from trying to keep up with you. "They won't give us a song like that at the actual competition, right?" Tom pants, his hands on his knees as he catches his breath.

"No," you laugh, "they won't. But see, that was fun, right?"

"Yeah, yeah, very," he laughs and looks at you.

It's quiet for a moment as you both look at each other. Tom looks over your face, noticing for the first time how cute you look. He loves your hair and your clothes, even though nothing special, looks so cute on you.

"Break?" you ask, snapping out of your thoughts and turning to sit against the wall opposite of the mirror. Tom snaps out too and sits down a few inches from you, both of you checking your phones for a moment.

Before you or Tom can say anything, Harry appears at the door. "Sorry to cut this short, but Tom, I got a call, and you got a few interviews set up for today," Harry says.

"Oh. Alright." Tom pushes himself up and looks down at you, putting out his hand to help you up. You take it and stand, giving him a smile.

"I'll see you tomorrow."

"Try using your hips to swing and keep your hand in mine for leverage, so you don't lose footing," you say. Tom nods, and you try to move again. You and Tom are holding hands, your arms stretched out parallel to each other and your bodies inches apart. Tom puts his foot out, turning his body to twirl you. When he does, your back hits his chest, and he continues right into the next move, dipping you and then pulling you up straight and outstretching your arms to pull you back in front of him.

"Good," you smile.

It's been a few days, and both of you are getting good with learning each other's moves. You're working on really knowing each other and predicting what you each will do, wanting to put together the best dance you can.

You admire how good Tom is and how quick he catches on. If anyone asked, you wouldn't say you had feelings for him. You're a professional, so you'd never let that get in the middle of your work. No matter how attractive you think he is or how much your heart speeds him whenever he touches you.

"Wanna try another song one more time and then call it a day?" you ask.

"Yeah, sure," Tom says, watching as you put on a random song and get back into position.

"I am so tired, mate," Tom sighs, resting his head on his hand that's on the car door.

"Y/n tiring you out, eh? You sure you still want to go tonight? You can send a text to Zendaya. I'm sure she'll understand," Harry says.

"No. This' the celebration for the ending of season two of her show, plus that it's getting a third season. This' big for her and I should be there we've been friends," he yawns, "for years."

"Whatever you say, mate. How's Y/n?" he asks.

Tom smiles at the thought for you. "She's awesome, such a great dancer, and honestly really fun," Tom mumbles. Harry smiles and glances at his brother. Tom knew his feelings for you had grown, but he'd never try to act on it. You're a professional, and this's your job.

When Tom and Harry arrive, they get out and head right inside the restaurant. It's set up fancy, with tables arranged and a dance floor in the front of the room. The room is already full of people, the boys being about 20 minutes late.

"Hey, Zendaya!" Harry smiles and gets her attention. She turns to them and smiles.

"Hey, guys." She gives them both a hug.

"You looks great," Tom says, looking over her dress.

"As always," Harry adds on.

"Yeah, well, you know," she playfully swings her hair back, "I know how to work it." Tom and Harry laugh, and they begin to talk, catching up with a few things and sharing a few laughs. Zendaya's attention gets pulled when she sees the door open again. "Oh! Y/n!" she calls over to you and walks past the guys, wrapping her arms around you in a tight hug and then pulling back and gushing about your outfit.

Tom and Harry watch from a few feet away, Tom's eyes not leaving you for a moment. You had on a purple dress. It's loose and ends below your knees, the sleeves are tight and end in the middle of your arm above your elbow, the neckline in a U shape from shoulder to shoulder, and your hair is beautiful. It's all different from what Tom's seen you in during practice, but it's still you, and he loves it.

You have a big smile on your face as you talk to Zendaya, but it gets brighter when you turn your head and see Tom. "Tom, hi, I didn't know you would be here," you say, walking over to him and Harry.

"Yeah, you guys know each other?" Tom asks.

"Me and Y/n have known each other since we were kids. We used to spend a lot of time together dancing and stuff. Even now that I went on with acting and she's still dancing, we keep up all the time," Zendaya smiles and nudges you.

For the whole night, Tom can't keep his eyes off you. It's like you're a magnet for him, and his eyes can't stay away. Any time you talk, he stares, giving you his full attention.

"You did that on purpose!" you say and pinch Zendaya's arm after the boys walk away to go back to the buffet.

"Ow! What?" she laughs.

"You knew Tom would be here! I told you what I thought of him, and now you did this!" you laugh.

"I'm just trying to help you. You literally said you'd go out with Tom if you could. And you've always loved him in the Marvel movies when we see them," Zendaya says.

"I loved you," you say.

"You drool during every Spider-Man movie and was on the verge of tears during Infinity War and No Way Home," she says.

You scoff and laugh. "Whatever. You're not slick. I should've known something was up with the fact you made this formal attire."

"What?! I don't know what you mean. It's not even my party. The directers threw it," she says, trying to act defensively.

"Not a single one of the directors are here," you laugh.

The boys return, and you all continue to talk as the music starts in the background. "Tom, did Y/n tell you she's a Marvel nerd?" Zendaya asks.

"No, you are? Really?" he asks, intrigued.

"Yeah," you laugh, slightly embarrassed, "I love all the movies. Not going to lie, I had to prepare myself to act professionally when I first found out you'd be my partner."

Tom smiles and looks at how you avoid eye contact with him. "That's really cool," he nods.

"Yup. That's me. I love everything Marvel," you smile.

"Tom, Y/n, why don't you guys go on the dance floor. Show us some of your moves," Zendaya smirks.

You turn to Tom to wait for him to answer. "Sure," he nods. You both turn and walk to an empty space on the dancefloor. Before you step on, you take your heels off and put them on the side. Tom takes your hand, and you begin dancing.

It's a small space, so you don't do anything too crazy, but you guys get the attention of the people around, and they move to make more room. The song playing is Photograph by Ed Sheeran. You guys move along with the beat, slow but sensual. When it starts to slow down more as it gets close to the end, Tom dips you and brings you up, turning you, your back is to him and running his hands down your bare arms. At the last few words, he takes your hand and quickly turns you around, so you're facing him when it ends, your faces inches.

Neither of you moves for a few seconds, staying in each other's embrace and feeling the connection. You snap out of it when you hear clapping, the other from the dancefloor and around the room applauding your dancing. You turn and smile to the crowd, mouthing a thank you and pulling away from Tom, laughing, not noting everyone had been watching.

"Yeah, they love each other," Harry and Zendaya say at the same time from the table, watching you guys and smiling.

The day of the first competition, you weren't nervous, yet your heart was racing as if you were. You aren't, you'd done this more times than you can count, but it was like the fact it's Tom you're doing it with made you nervous. You never felt so much of a connection with a partner.

Tom, on the other hand, is shaking in his boots. With good reason since this' his first time. Not only is he nervous about the competition itself, but he's nervous about dancing with you officially.

"So, ya ready?" You walk up behind Tom as he stands just surveying the area.

"As ready as I'll ever be, I guess," he smiles. This' only the second time he's seen you in something that's not sweatpants and a shirt. You're wearing a blue dress that ends below your thigh and has small ruffles at the end, and the top part has long sleeves that go all the way down your arms.

Tom is wearing a loose dress shirt and loose pants. Something simple. Tom looks down, bringing his attention to your shoes. He sees you're wearing blue sneakers that match your dress. "No heels?” he asks.

"Nah. I don't wear heels when I dance. Part of what makes me different," you shrug and smile. Tom smiles back, thinking about how Harry said you were known for your unique style.

A few minutes go by, and then it gets to you guy's turn. Before you walk on stage, the screen flashes on for the song you'll be dancing to with Tom. Middle Of The Night by Elley Duhe.

You walk on stage, and the music starts. You stand with your back to Tom, and when the first verse starts, he moves his hands to both your arms and moves your body side to side and then grabs your hand and turns you around, pressing you to his body.

You move your leg in the shape of a circle behind you and bring your leg up. Tom puts his hands on your waist and twists your body, grabbing your hands and moving his feet on opposite sides of you and walking forward as you walk backwards.

When the chorus starts is when you pull out the big moves. Tom twirls you and pulls you in but puts his arm over your head and turns you back to him.

You're loving how it's going, loving how Tom's leading, not making you do all the work. He does good moves, making you have a small smile as you dance to the music, moving solidly to the beat.

When the song comes to an end, Tom pulls you into his side, both of you looking into each other's eyes, again getting lost in the moment. You smile at each other and pull away when you hear the cheering of the crowd. You look to the judges, seeing the score is 38.

You and Tom exit the stage, getting to the side and out of view and celebrating. "That was amazing! You did great, Tom!" you cheer and throw your arms around him in a hug. Tom has the biggest smile on his face and puts hugs you tight.

As the days and weeks go by of you and Tom practicing, you both get closer and closer. Your dancing has gotten great, neither of you ignoring the fact you feel connected with each other and use it when you dance, dancing with purpose and heart. Not only dancing with your heart in it but dancing for both of you.

"When you're working on a movie, do you ever act unprofessionally?" you ask Tom. You've already gone through a long day of training, and you're taking a break. You and Tom are sitting against the wall, and your head is on his shoulder.

"What do you mean?" he asks.

"Is there ever anything you want to do, but don't cause it would be unprofessional?" you ask again, rephrasing.

"Depends on what a why. If it's something I really want to do and know there really aren't any consequences," Tom pulls away and tilts his body to you, "then what's the harm?"

Your eyes fall on his lips, and you both lean in at the same time. Right, when your lips around about to touch, you're interrupted by an "awwww" sounding through the room. You pull away and look at the door, seeing Harrison standing there.

"Hi, Haz," you say with a tight sarcastic smile.

Tonight is the night. You and Tom have made it to the finals. "We got this," you say to Tom, rolling your head on your shoulders, amping yourself up.

Tonight you're wearing a black skit and black tank top with a small sweater. Tom is wearing loose black pants with a shirt and jacket, looking very handsome.

"We got this," Tom repeats and smiles, putting his hand out for you to take as you walk on stage, seeing the screen flash on for the song for you guys. Dangerously In Love 2 by Beyonce.

When the music starts, you and Tom move sharply to the beat, moving with each hit. Tom dips you and pulls you up into him, taking both your hands in his and moving out and in to the beat.

The chorus starts, and you guys speed up. Tom leads you to move fast and sharp to the song, your moves still synched and sensual to each other. Tom lets go, and you both do your own dances for a moment, coming back together at this perfect time and continuing into the rest.

When it slows down, getting to the last verse, Tom holds your back against his chest, swaying you from side to side and letting his hands lay on your waist, his head next to yours with his eyes closed, getting ready for his next move. You have your head tilted with his, feeling the music and waiting for the next move.

It stays like that for the next few seconds of the song while it stays slow. Just before it speeds up again for the long holding note, Tom brings his hand to yours, pulling you out and twirling you back into him, your body coming to his right at the holding note, both of you so close you could kiss. At first, he doesn't think he should, but then you lean in and capture his lips, cheers erupting from the crowd watching you guys.

The note ends, and you both force yourselves to pull away and continue your dancing, but now with a big smile on your face as you continue. When the song comes to an end, Tom ends it by twirling you slowly and bringing you to his body, his hand on your lower back and your foreheads together.

This time when you hear the cheers, louder than ever, and everyone loving you guys, you and Tom don't separate, him keeping his arm around your waist and looking out to the judges. The team before you got a 37, and this is the first time that you almost didn't care if you won or not. You look to the judges, a perfect 40.

Later that night, you, Tom, Zendaya, Harry, Sam, and Harrison are at his hotel celebrating. As the night when on, they all went on with their own ways, and it's only you and Tom.

"Would I be crazy if I asked you out? Saying that these were the best and most fun few weeks I've ever had and don't want to be 'strangers' anymore?" Tom asks boldly, his heart racing hoping you don't turn him down.

"No, Mr. Holland, you would not. And I would say yes," you smile and look at him from the chair you're in, sitting a few feet from him.

He smiles and pulls out his phone, tapping a few things before looking at you again. "Well, in that case," he stands and puts out his hand, "may I have this dance, madam?" You throw your head back, laughing when you hear It's Been A Long, Long Time.

"Why yes, Mr. Rogers," you say in a fake accent, taking his hand, standing with him. "I've always wanted to dance to this," you smile at him.

"Yeah, I figured you'd like it," he says, resting his hand on your waist.

You lay your head on his chest, swaying slowly to the song, also hearing his calming heartbeat. With all the dancing you've done, all the things you know, this's for sure the best dance you've done, and you want to do it forever, stay dancing like this with Tom as long as possible.

We all know by now that y/n spent a lot of time Tom and his family while trying to recover her mental health, she has been very outspoken on social media about mental health issues and how she’s doing so we’re sending her a lot of love on kudos on educating on such an important topic. Now here’s the deal, about Tom specifically she has tried to say the least, but here’s a quote from her interview with People in which we believe she’s talking about him: “I think that what has helped me the most is having people that actually loves and cares for me around, it’s awesome to wake up everyday and see a familiar face willing to do EVERYTHING they can to make me happy, to make me smile and laugh, someone who’s always there to check on me and ask if I need anything, I even feel a little spoiled when he brings me breakfast at bed or even dinner sometimes when I’m not feeling good! I just love having someone around that I know I can rely on”

Now Tom was a guest in The tonight show just a couple days ago in which he was asked about his love life and here’s a transcription of what he had to say “Well hummm, it’s a little bit complicated right now” and then he added “I mean I am living with a girl (audience cheers and laughs) but I guess you could say I’m single, I don’t know man, maybe you should ask her and let me know!” and this is not the only time he has spoke about this, in another interview he said this when asked if he agreed on the whole situation “I mean yeah, I think that this is something that works for us, I love y/n and I love living with her and taking care of her but I also understand that she has been through a lot lately and she needs time and I’m okay with that, that’s not going to change the fact that I love her as a friend too” it seems that so far Tom is more open to talk about his feelings for her.

So far fans are confused and so are we! We also saw Tom's ex Nadia Parkes comment under a post in y/n Instagram that featured a picture of Tom, she did responded saying that they were friends and that they were not sleeping together and it gets even worse because Brooklyn Beckham posted a picture of y/n while visiting her two days ago and this upset fans of course, as of now Tom has not said anything about it and we don’t know what to make of it, so far the post has racked almost 16M likes on his Instagram. Y/n, Tom’s girlfriend, runs a little live web show and for this episode, he’s her special guest.

Short and quite random, let me know what you think! --------------------- "Welcome back to a new episode of Y/n's Couch! For this week we are joined by the star of the upcoming marvel film: Spider-Man: No Way Home, Tom Holland!" You cheerfully do your into, sitting up and applauding the man himself who is already settled in the couch next to you. The wide shot camera takes over, and the applause audio effects ring through the studio. "Hello! Great to be here!" Tom waves at the three cameras settled. "I can't believe I'm finally here, its my seventh Marvel movie but this is my first time on your show!" "Yeah we're always booked though.." You joked, knowing full well that your live web show wasn't that popular. "But couldn't I get a boyfriend perk though?" Tom added. "This is it, actually! This is the boyfriend perk. It took seven movies." You reply. The banter felt natural, flooding your comments section with hearts and cheers. "So what do you think about the set! Your finally here!" You gesture around the small studio room. "Oh my gosh there's so much food!" Tom gestures down at the coffee table in front, filled with all sorts of snacks, in different colorful bowls. "Oh yeah the budget's that big." The staff snickers. "Please feel free to dig in!" Tom picks up a bowl of popcorn as you shuffle through your cue cards. "So let's talk about the last time we saw Peter Parker, he did not have a good time in Far From Home!" "Not at all. That's all thanks to Mysterio!" Tom replied, throwing Jake Gyllenhaal's character some shade. "But its fine, I'm getting my revenge-" "Would you like to try the hotdogs?" You cut him off immediately. Tom did not seem to notice as he takes a bite of the hotdog on sticks you've just offered. "What's it like working with Zendaya?" You let him swallow the hotdog before asking. "Its a life-changing experience, really. Its a shame that its the last-" "Do you want a drink? We have cola on the fridge?" You stop him from dropping another spoiler. He realizes what you were doing. His eyes widen, shifting between your face and the camera. "Yeah." You nod at him, giving him the same wide eyes. "Marvel actually emailed me, making sure you don't spoil anything. I literally asked about Far From Home so you don't spoil anything for the next movie and yet- how do you do that?" You scold. Tom couldn't hold his laughter now, spilling the bowl of popcorn on the couch. "I replied to marvel I said I know a way of shutting you up you have to buy us food to keep Tom Holland's mouth busy thus this! Thanks Marvel." You added. Tom still hasn't recovered from his near miss. "Well that's all the time we have for today guys, catch you next weekend here on Y/n's Couch! See ya!"

'We broke up a month ago,'

"I've been thinking," your heart sunk at his words, "I'm always working." he grabbed both of your hands.

You locked your gaze in his. Sat in the living room of his shared flat. Inches apart yet you could already feel the separation between the two of you growing.

He avoided your eye contact, "I-I can't be in a relationship unless I can give one hundred percent of myself to the other person. A-and I know I haven't been doing that to you, which is c-completely unfair." he wiped away a tear from your cheek that you didn't know had fell, "You've been so, so good to me. I'm sorry I wasn't better, but I can't keep putting you through this." his voice was barely audible.

You finally tore your eyes away from his face. His tear soaked face. Choosing to stare at a spot over his shoulder instead. You took three deep breaths. In and out. Something about his words made you confused, but your pain overpowered it.

"Please say something. Anything." he whispered against your knuckles. Holding your hands to his lips.

You gently removed your hands from his grip, "Thank you for being mature and honest with me." you started with a sniffle, "Thank you for all of our memories and for showing me what love is," you cupped his face, "Thank you for everything, loser." your light laugh lacked any humour, but it still brought a slight smile to his face.

He held your hand that was resting on his jaw, "I love you more than life itself, darling." he kissed your palm and you felt your heart shatter. "Never hesitate to call, dummy."

You nodded with a sad smile. "I love you, too." You stood up and made your way out of the door. A year and a half down the drain within ten minutes.

'Your friends are mine, you know I know you moved on. Found someone new.'

"Do you guys wanna do something on Saturday? I don't have work. Maybe karaoke?" you asked the group without looking up from your phone.

Harrison made a confused noise, "Did you forget? We have Nadia's birthday par—" you heard a loud smack, "—Ow! What? Oh, shit."

You looked up to see Zendaya, Jacob, Harry, Sam and Tuwaine all glaring at Harrison.

"Absolute div." Tuwaine muttered.

You furrowed your eyebrows, "Who's Nadia?" you looked at all of them as they avoided eye contact. "Daya?"

She let out a long sigh before clearing her throat, "Um, Nadia is- Well she's kind of- you know, um—"

"—Tom's new girlfriend." Sam finished for her.

Your mouth formed an 'o' shape as you processed the information. His new girlfriend. It'd been a month and four days since he ended your relationship. And he had a new girlfriend.

It took him a month to move on. A month to be able to give a hundred percent of himself to someone.

You couldn't tell if you were more angry or sad. Maybe a mixture of both. Angry that your friends were hiding information from you, but at the same time you understood their intentions. Sad and upset because the boy who told you he wasn't ready to give a hundred percent of himself was already with someone new.

You slowly nodded, "Oh, okay. Well, I hope you guys have fun." you gave a tight lipped smile before looking back at your phone.

Everyone glanced at each other worriedly before allowing their gazes to fall on you again.

"How do you feel?" Jacob asked cautiously.

You locked your phone and set it on your lap, "I'm fine." you faked a smile, "I think I'm gonna head home, though. It's getting late and I have an early studio session. Bye." you quickly grabbed your purse and left with a small wave.

"Y/N! Wait—" the slamming of the front door cut Tuwaine off.

It was three p.m. and you weren't supposed to be in the studio until noon.

'One more girl who brings out the better in you,'

"Y/N/N. You need to talk about it sooner or later." Zendaya reminded you as she sat at the end of your bed with Harrison beside her.

You removed the covers from your face, revealing your tear stained cheeks, "Does she make him happy?"

There was silence from your two friends before they hesitantly nodded. Both weren't completely sure, but they assumed she did.

"Does she bring out the best version of him? Does she stroke his hair while they cuddle? Does she cook with him? Does she walk Tessa with him?"

Harrison sighed, "Y/N/N, we—"

"—Because that's what I did. I brought out the best side of him. I stroked his hair while we cuddled. I cooked with him. I walked Tessa with him. I did it all. Every single thing." your voice broke towards the end as you let the sobs rack through your body.

Harrison and Zendaya went to either side of you and held you. They just held you. Because even they didn't know what to do.

'And I thought my heart was detached from all the sunlight of our past,'

"Are you sure you're okay with this?" Zendaya asked as you walked towards Tom's front door.

You nodded and smoothed down your sundress, "Yeah. We ended on good terms. It's been two months or so. We're friends. Plus, I miss hanging out with all of us." you assured her.

She sighed before knocking on the door, "Alright."

A few moments later the door swung open revealing Tom. Dressed in black jeans and a white button-up. Sleeves rolled up to his elbows. Curls dangling over his forehead. A sweet smile on his lips.

You felt your stomach lurch. Air leaving your lungs involuntarily. Heart rate quickening. You could smell his cologne and every single memory with him clouded your mind.

"Hey! It's great to see you guys—"

"—Sorry. I-I think I left something in the car. One second." you rushed out the words before turning on your heel.

Zendaya let out a long sigh, "Fuck."

Tom frowned, "Did I do something wrong?"

'But she's so sweet, she's so pretty. Does she mean you forgot about me?'

"Y/N!" an unfamiliar voice called out to you from somewhere in the boys' backyard.

It was Harrison's annual barbecue get together. Nearly three months since your break up with Tom.

You turned towards the source of the noise and found a girl walking towards you. Brunette. Tight black dress with black heels. Body and face of a model.

"I've been dying to meet you! I'm such a huge fan. I basically live off of your music." she giggled as she hugged you.

You smiled, "Aw! Thank you! That means so much to me. You look amazing, by the way."

She laughed, "Thank you! But you're absolutely gorgeous! Sorry, I completely forgot to introduce myself. I'm Nadia, Tom's girlfriend."

You raised your eyebrows, but managed to keep a smile on your face, "Oh! I've heard so much about you! Well, Tom's one lucky guy," you chuckled, "I'd love to chat some more, but I need to use the washroom. Excuse me. It was a pleasure meeting you." you gave her a hoaxed smile before quickly walking away.

You were two feet away from the washroom when Zendaya grabbed your arm, "What's wrong? You look like you've seen a ghost or something."

Your breaths were coming out in short puffs, "I just met Nadia?"

Her eyes widened before she dragged you towards Tuwaine's room, "Okay. Let's sit down."

'Oh, I hope you're happy, but not like how you were with me. I'm selfish, I know. I can't let you go,'

"You should move in here." Tom mumbled against your shirt.

You let out a small laugh, "You already have four roommates, love. One more might turn this into a barn."

He lifted his head off of your chest, "I'm serious. Driving from Manchester to Kingston all the time is such a hassle for you. We have recording studios here and it would make me the happiest man in the world if I could wake up to your gorgeousness everyday." he planted kisses on your forehead, nose and lips.

You chuckled at his boyish grin, "It's only a three hour drive and I'm sure the boys don't want me imposing on your time with them."

He quickly shook his head, "I already talked to them about it and they want you here, too."

You raised your eyebrows, "Well, if you're sure it'll make you the happiest man in the world, I'll think about it."

"You already make me the happiest man in the world, but I needed something to convince you." he rested his head on your chest again as you laughed.

'So find someone great, but don't find no one better. I hope you're happy, but don't be happier.'

"Are we ordering pizza?" Harrison yawned from beside you on the couch.

"Sushi?" you grinned hopefully.

Tuwaine shook his head, "We had sushi last night."

"Tom and I are making dinner for you guys!" Nadia reminded you from the kitchen.

Her arms wrapped around Tom's waist as he stirred whatever was in the pan he had on the stove.

You really hated their open floor layout at that moment since there wasn't a wall to block them from your view.

"Oh, yeah. What're you making?" Sam asked.

"Salmon with rice and steamed veggies." Tom answered without looking up from the pan.

Everyone made noises of realization as you turned to Harry, "Aliens or a tiger. Which do you think you could beat in a fight?" he asked.

You laughed before replying, "Hmm, depends. Are the aliens small or—"

"Tommy!" you heard a girly giggle and turned to see Tom with Nadia over his shoulder as they laughed and ran around the kitchen.

You quickly diverted your gaze to the coffee table. Forgetting about Harry's absurd question. All eyes were on you.

"What?" you asked when you finally looked up at your friends.

"Are you okay?" Harrison frowned from beside you before resting his head on your shoulder.

You let out a dry, quiet laugh, "Of course. As long as he's happy."

The looks of pity you received were almost as painful as the scene you witnessed moments ago.

"Premiere day!" Zendaya walked into your shared hotel room with a bright smile, Nadia following behind her.

You faked a smile as you applied another coat of mascara, "You girls look gorgeous."

Zendaya was in a red and black sequin gown. Hair down and heels on. Nadia was dressed in a maroon silk dress with a slit on the side. Black heels dawning her feet. Both had makeup and accessories on matching their attire.

You were in an emerald green gown with a slit running down your left leg. Silver heels and silver jewellery to match.

"So do you!" Nadia exclaimed as she sat on Zendaya's bed.

"Are the boys coming soo—" Zendaya got cut off by three loud knocks on the door.

"I'll get it!" Nadia jumped up and opened the door.

Tom was stood before her in a maroon suit. Matching her dress. Black dress shoes. Matching her heels. Glasses on and a bright smile.

You watched as Tom ran his eyes down Nadia's outfit, "Well, aren't you just the most beautiful girl in the world?" he planted a kiss on her lips as you witnessed with envy.

"Aw, Tommy. I love you."

"I love you more, darling." he grinned before looking behind her.

Heart wrenching pain struck you again.

You watched as his mouth fell open by the slightest bit. Eyes growing wider.

He quickly snapped out of his daze, placing a pearly white smile on, "You two look absolutely stunning."

You acknowledged his compliment with a curt nod.

Zendaya let out a laugh, "Yup. About to out do you at your own premiere."

'Remember when I believed you meant it when you said it first to me?'

"Green or white?" you held up both dresses against your body.

Tom looked up from his phone, "Both of them will look amazing on you, love."

You sighed, "I appreciate the compliment, but I am meeting Sebastian Stan tonight. Now is not the time for indecisiveness. One of them will make me look bad and I need to know which one."

The Infinity War premiere was in two hours and your anxiety was growing by the minute.

"C'mere." he motioned you towards him with a 'come hither' gesture as he sat on the edge of the hotel bed. You made your way towards him. Standing in between his legs as he wrapped his arms around your waist, "You are the most beautiful girl in the world. Absolutely gorgeous. You could make the ugliest dress look like something from a fairytale."

Your smile grew as he kissed your stomach, "Thank you, mi amor." you bent down and placed a peck on his forehead, leaning your head against his, you whispered, "Now, green or white?"

He chuckled and pecked your lips, "White."

You smiled before making your way to put on the white dress, "I love you."

"I love you more, darling."

'And now I'm picking her apart. Like cutting her down will make you miss my wretched heart. But she's beautiful, she looks kind. She probably gives you butterflies.'

"I don't like her." you murmured.

Zendaya chuckled, "Nadia? You barely know the girl."

You nodded, "And I don't like her. I don't like her giggles and her nickname for him. I don't like her hair."

You knew you were looking for things to dislike, but there weren't any. She was a fan of your music, she complimented you all the time. She was genuinely a great person.

She sighed, "No, you don't like the fact that she's dating Tom. If she wasn't, you wouldn't be saying any of this."

You rolled your eyes and glared at her, "Can you let me be angry?"

She laid herself down on your mattress, "Nope. If you wanna be angry, be angry at Tom. Nadia hasn't done anything to you. You're better than this."

"God, I hate your optimistic side sometimes." you threw a pillow at her.

She laughed, "One of us needs to be the optimist."

You sighed, "Do you think he misses me?"

"Yes." she replied without hesitation.

You sat up and furrowed your eyebrows, "What makes you say that?"

She let out a long breath, "You need to talk to him about that."

'I hope you're happy. I wish you all the best, really. Say you love her, baby. Just not like you loved me. And think of me fondly when your hands are on her. I hope you're happy, but don't be happier.'

"And you're dead." you dropped the controller on your lap as you defeated Harrison in Super Smash Bros again.

He huffed like a child, "Unfair. I taught you how to play, how'd you get better than me?"

"Actually, I taught her how to play. And I am ten times better than you." Tuwaine corrected him.

Harrison scoffed, "Whatever. Sweaty nerds, the both of you."

Nadia spoke up from Tom's lap, "Can I try?"

You nodded, "Who do you wanna go against?"

She chuckled, "I think I'll verse Harrison. Seeing as how Y/N just kicked your ass, I wanna at least have a chance."

Her comment made you laugh as you handed her the controller and watched them pick their characters. You watched as Tom set his phone down and focused on the screen where his girlfriend chose Pichu.

"Choose Kirby." Tom told her.

She furrowed her eyebrows, "Why? Pichu is so cute."

"Y/N always plays as Kirby and she always wins. With that stupid power absorbing ability." he chuckled as his eyes landed on you.

You felt your heart skip a beat at the small detail he remembered before you played it off with a light laugh, "Not my fault you thought Luigi could beat Kirby everytime we played."

'Ooo-ooo, ooo-ooo, ooo-ooo,'

You pressed on the keys of the piano in the boys' home. Singing your heart out. You still had your spare key and Harrison told you no one was home.

You were waiting for them to return from golfing so you could have your Sunday night dinners. It's been nearly four months since your breakup with Tom. Your album was due to be released on May twenty-first and you were letting the still evident pain fuel your lyrics.

"I hope you're happy, just not like how you were with me. I'm selfish, I know. I can't let you go. So find someone great, but don't find no one better. I hope you're happy, but don't be happier." you faded out the piano and pressed stop on the recording on your phone.

Writing down small notes about the song and things to tweak, your thoughts were quickly interrupted.

"I'm not."

Your head snapped up. Tom was leaning against the doorframe behind you. Tears escaping his eyes.

"T-Tom. I'm sorry. Haz told me the house was empty and I just started playing and- Wait. What did you say?" realization dawned on you.

He stepped closer and sat beside you on the piano bench, "I'm not happier. Hell, I'm not even happy." he gave a pathetic attempt at a laugh, staring straight at the black and white keys.

Your mind was trying to catch up with everything happening, trying to register his words, the state he was in. Grey sweats, black tee. Messy hair and red eyes.

"Why?"

He released a heavy sigh, "There's so many things you could be asking 'why' about. Why did I break up with you? Why am I with Nadia? Why am I not happy? Why the hell am I crying? Which one is it, Y/L/N?"

You blinked a few times, "All of them."

He sniffled and rubbed his face, "I felt like I was holding you back." he started, catching a glimpse of your confused expression, he continued, "You hadn't released any music in over year. There were so many articles saying that I was the reason that the biggest pop star in the world was quitting music. I didn't want to be the reason for that."

"You weren't and you aren't." you assured him.

He shrugged, "I just felt like you would do a lot better without me. And you are. Look at you, your fifth album is coming out next month." he nudged you with his shoulder, "I'm proud of you," he smiled.

"T-thank you."

He nodded, "Anyways, why am I with Nadia? Um, a few days after we broke up, I went to a friend's place to distract myself, as one does. She was there. She was a distraction. I never meant for it to get this far. You know, she actually asked me to be her boyfriend." he chuckled dryly to himself as you listened intently. "I guess, I thought it'd be easier to move on if I had something else to pour my love into?"

You nodded slowly, "Okay, I somewhat get that. So you really do love her?"

He quickly shook his head, "No, no, I don't. I mean, I can't. No one can truly love two people at once. And I think that answers the question of why I'm not happy." he paused and faced you completely, "I'm crying because hearing that song and hearing how evident your pain in it is, that will make anyone cry. I'm crying because I miss you and I miss us. I-I miss what we had and what we were. I miss your kisses and your stupid jokes that only you laugh at. I miss going on walks with you and Tess. I just miss you."

There was a long period of silence after his confession. You were trying to process all the information he was giving. He was cursing himself for being so straightforward. The longer it went without a response from you, the more anxious he got. He grabbed your hands, holding them to his lips.

"Please say something. Anything."

Déjà vu.

You swallowed, "You want honesty?" he nodded, "Okay, I was so mad at you. I-I was infuriated. Y-you told me you weren't ready to give a hundred percent of yourself and that you couldn't be in a relationship until you could give all of yourself to that person. Then a month later, you're with her. Making me feel like you just couldn't give yourself to me." you paused and shook your head, "You could've told me the truth. You should've told me the truth. We could've talked about it. We could've avoided months of awkward run ins and no communication." he nodded, still holding your hands in his, "I'm not gonna lie and say I don't miss you because I do, I miss you more than anything, but we shouldn't be doing this or saying these things while you're with her." you removed your hands from his.

He spent a moment looking down at his fingers. Releasing short breaths. "I don't want to be with her."

"But you are. And I don't want you to break up with her for me. Because that's not how things work, Tom. But you shouldn't stay with her either. Especially if this is how you're feeling. That's just unfair to her." you shook your head and felt your mind clear.

He nodded and met your gaze, "This is the end of us, huh?"

You shook your head, "I don't think there will ever be an end to us." you laughed dryly.

He agreed with a smile, "For forever and a day, remember?"

You nodded, "For forever and a day."
