She grew up learning that she should hate what was given to her, after all it was the reason her father was always angry with her. So what should she do when the one thing she learned to hate is the one thing that brings her love, safe and comfort that not even her older brother can compare.

That was yn's first thought as soon as she heard the words of Christian Horner, and with how Max was looking at her, he had similar thoughts as well, which is quite saddening.

When Max first met Kelly, his first thought wasn't how bad his punishment would be, and he hated that this was what yn's thinking about as soon as she saw one of her soulmates. Her thoughts should've been on how she will spend their first date, on when she will get to meet her other soulmate, on how much her face hurts from smiling and her heart feels like it will leap out of her chest from joy.

And although both of them try not to cross paths with their father they still end up meeting him, he still comes by yn's University, which is something that always scares her, not knowing what her father's next move is, where will his hand leave a mark this time. Has she told Max of it? Not really, Max doesn't know the extent of which Jos still treats yn, all he knows is that sometimes Jos visits her at her university whenever he allows it, whenever he is there with her, ready to protect her from the harsh words and actions of Jos Verstappen. Max doesn't know that sometimes Jos visits when he isn't there, that yn goes with him to his flat. Whenever she'd try to tell Max he'd look at her with such tenderness, like she's so innocent and had never seen what she had, that she doesn't gather enough courage to tell him- thinking that maybe if he knew, he'd never perceive her the same way, he'd just get tired and angry of her self harmming ways, that he'd leave her behind because after everything he had done for her, to keep her safe and happy, she keeps going back to Jos, she keeps listening to him and hearing out his lame, repetitive excuses.

"Umm, hi."

Yn's thoughts were interrupted by a soft voice, her soulmate's soft voice.

"Mr Holland, hello."

Max was the one to reply, he knew that his sister's mind is a mess.

"Oh please, just- just Tom is fine, Max," an awkward silence filled the air, making Tom more nervous by the millisecond "is it okay to call you Max?"

Max smiles at the actor, "yeah, of course, you're older than me anyway."

"Oh, yeah, right." Clearing his throat, Tom looked at yn hoping she'd be the one to offer for the two of them to be alone.

"Right, so," seeing his soulmate avoid his eyes hurt, it hurt so much that he could feel his nose burning and his eyes watering "I was wondering if I could speak with my soulmate."

Even with tears in his eyes and a heavy heart he kept looking at her, urging her in his mind to just look at him, to stop the poisonous thoughts from creeping into his mind telling him to prepare himself for a rejection, to prepare himself to cope with the feeling of a missing soul, to prepare himself to tell Zendaya of how her soulmate rejected her without even meeting her.

Now, Tom doesn't have any sisters, but he'd like to imagine that if he had one he'd treat her like how Max Verstappen is treating Yn. He'd turn to her with the softest look in his eyes and a comforting face, asking her if she's okay to be left with her soulmate (he tried not to let this hurt him too much), asking her if she wants to be alone or if she'd rather have him besides her.

"It's okay," he could barely hear her feathery voice over the bustling paddock "I want to speak with him alone."

And with just one sentence Tom felt like screaming at the top of his lungs, he felt the colors becoming more vivid around him and his heart becoming lighter; maybe it won't end as bad as he imagined.

"Hi."

Her voice was so small, she sounded so fragile, almost scared.

"Um, hi, hello" Tom breathed out, mesmerised by his final piece "I didn't ask for your name."

"Oh, right," clearing her throat yn finally met his eyes "yn. I'm yn verstappen."

"Yn," God why did her name sound so pretty coming from his lips

"it's nice, no, wonderful to meet you. I've been looking to this day my entire life."

"Well, I'm here." Yn shrugged her shoulder as she showed him the palms of her hands, looking like she paused in the middle of making that one silly jazz movement

"Yeah, yeah, you're really here."

"How would you-"

"Can I ask-"

Their voices stopped at the same time, allowing the other person to talk, but neither did which was why they were sitting in such an awkward silence.

"Please go ahead."

"Right," yn started "I am not going to lie to you, I am not sure about this."

"This?" His eyebrows creased as his lips turned downwards, trembling as his voice cracked, he sounded so broken, he looked on the verge of tears, she feared that if she uttered another word that he'd cry, but she had to, he has to hate her, he eventually will so the earlier the better for her.

"The whole soulmate thing, I can't handle this."  Her heart clenched as she said those words, her fists clenching the black fabric of her dress at her knees, holding itself back from caressing the brit's face, from gently wiping away his tears and from kissing his forehead as she utters all the apologies and all the loving words she wishes she could say.

Yn would be lying if she said that she hadn't dreamt of this day, she used to stay up all night on weekdays imagining what it would be like to meet her soulmates, what would it be like to see the other parts of her soul, to look in their eyes and to tell them that she's ready, that she's with them forever, but she can't, as long as jos verstappen is in her life she can't see herself in a good light, all she thinks of is how much of a disappointment she was to her mother, how much of a disappointment she is for her father, and how much of a disappointment she will be to max as soon as he figures out what she does behind his back.

No one would love her, why would they love a person like her? A person who never wants to go anywhere, a person who is afraid of everything and everyone, she's always afraid of her own father- how could she possibly explain that to her soulmates, she's a person who will not be loved because she is not worthy of being loved, it's quite sad and unfair but that's the unfortunate truth- the fact that no one will ever love her and no one will ever miss her is yn's unfortunate truth.

"Why?" Tom questions as he looks through his tear filled eyes "why not?"

"I-" yn failed to come up with a fake, reasonable excuse because she doesn't want that. She doesn't want to reject her soulmate, all her life she had done things because she is afraid of her father, and it's not like she could just dump that on her soulmate on their first meeting after rejecting him "Can you accept that I just can't?"

"No, no, I can not accept that!" Tom's tone got a little too lough for his liking, clearing his throat he kept his voice in check "don't ask me to accept that you don't want me, that you don't want zendaya before you even got to know us, you haven't even met zendaya yet!"

Yn's tears got the best of her, quickly forming in her eyes and then in seconds they were streaming down her face.

"I can't, I just really can't," yn started as she tried to wipe off her tears, only for her vision to be more blurry and for even more tears to end up on her cheeks "I can't, and I know that it's unfair, I want to but I can't and I can't explain it to you because it's none of your business"

"But it is," even with all of the frustration in him, Tom made sure that he sounds reassuring and calm "it is my business because my soulmate said that she wants something, she wants me; us, but she's not saying why and I have to understand. I will understand, so please, just tell me, explain it to me," Tom moved closer to yn, stopping her palms from furiously rubbing her eyes and cheeks with his hand engulfing hers, yn could feel his skin on her cheeks "I want to understand."

Looking into his eyes, yn could feel herself calm down, the tears drying and her vision clearer "what if I don't want to? At least, not until zendaya is here?"

"Of course she'll be here, she really wants to meet you.

"She knows?"

"Well," moving his thumbs into a a Z shape onto the back of her hand Tom smiled at his younger soulmate "kinda. How about she explains it when she gets here in a few weeks, after you explain, yeah? How about the next GP, would you be ok with that?"

"Yeah, I think- I think I'd like that."

According to Twitter Tom has a matching 'Z' tattoo and they went and got tattooed together, and now I can't stop imagining them getting the tattoos.

The foot and ribs are both very painful parts of your body to get tattoos on, and Tom's spider tattoo would obviously of taken a lot more time and detail then a 'Z' tattoo, so he would of known what to expect and probably handled it fine. But Zendaya has never gotten a tattoo before so she wouldn't of been as prepared for the pain.

So now all I can imagine is Tom getting his tattoo done first, probably showing signs of being in a bit of pain but not seemingly in a lot of pain, so Z doesn't expect it to be that bad. But pretty much the second the needle touches her skin she is in a ton of pain, and Tom teases her about her reaction while letting her squeeze his hands.

At the heart, you wanted to believe Rue was trying to get clean. Indeed, you wouldn’t be a friend if you didn’t believe it. What made it hard was sitting in this parking lot, standing by the counter to grab your guys’ food and knowing precisely what she was doing inside your car. A powdered line along your phone case with a rolled-up bill in hand. Her shame had no limits.

And you weren’t going to try and act high and mighty because you’ve done your fair share of drugs. But you didn’t let them take ahold of your life like Rue has.

But who were you to judge? It’s not like you were someone that had control in her life. You were a mere ex-boyfriend and only recently she had befriended you again after the two of you caught up from the few months of her being in rehab.

You didn’t know how to navigate around the clear issue she had been sent to deal with. And the people in her life, like Fez, weren’t exactly helping. Him giving her drugs after knowing about her going to rehab set her back at square one. The difference was he cared about her, unlike most drug dealers. So, you could respect him for that.

Once again; what could you possibly even do?

Grabbing the bag of food, you walked to the vehicle. Rue noticed your approach and slipped out with a tired smile. “I’ve been needing this.”

You smiled. “I’m glad I can be of service.” Handing her the food, you moved to the other side of the car and took your own out.

“Yeah, man. Mom’s been on my ass about these drugs and shit. I can barely be able to go out anymore without her throwing a drug test in my direction.” She took a bite of her burger, humming in satisfaction.

A groan fell from your lips that hadn’t been intentional but simply slipped out. “Here we go again.”

Hearing that made Rue frown. Her lips twitched in a confused grin with her head tilting slightly. “What’s that supposed to mean?”

Taking a bite out of your burger, you grabbed a napkin and wipe your lips. “You’re always complaining. Why does everyone keep walking out of my life? Maybe you keep pushing them away? Perhaps you’re the problem.”

Rue scoffed, shaking her head. “I don’t complain, man. Ask anyone and they’ll tell you that.”

“That’s all you do, Rue,” you laughed. “You don’t realize it, but when you were gone, Leslie had me driving Gia to school instead of the bus and I get to hear all about that shit.” Rue, of course, hadn’t known this considering the two of you ended things on a harsh note with her slapping you in front of the entire football team. Now, you weren’t going to take the full blame because you had yelled at her for deciding to skip out on your game to do drugs. And your anger came from your worry, but she hadn’t seen it that way and it resulted in her cutting all ties to you. “You complain and complain about your circumstances and why it won’t get easier. You say you want “change” but you don’t want to change.”

“Pretty high and mighty coming from the asshole smoking weed in front of me,” Rue pointed out, snarky. “If I had recovered at rehab, you would be the cause of me going back to drugs. You ever think about that?”

You smiled, leaning your arms on the roof of the vehicle and saying, “I wouldn’t if I knew you were off of them but I hear everything from Fez. You completely forget that I buy my shit from him.”

She looked about ready to walk away just so this didn’t ruin her high. But you continued, keeping her shortening care to listen. “Rue, you aren’t unique, all right? If I have to be the one to tell you, then I will. But you are just like every addict in this world that is struggling just like you. They had something happen in their lives that put them down the same path as you.” Sighing, you tapped your hand on the roof of your vehicle and said, “The difference is people in your life care and have been trying everything to help you, but you won’t accept it.”

“Why do you even care?” Rue asked.

Exhaling deeply, you said, “Because for a time, I loved you and I still care about you enough to tell you when you are being a jackass. And maybe I had hope that you would get better and go back to who you were before all this shit.” She stared at you for a few moments, perhaps thinking. Whether she was or not, you glanced away before popping open the door. “But then again, I don’t mean jack shit.” And you left her with that hanging statement for most of the ride.

Life had its way of working things out and you were sure that in some way, your words would come to reality for Rue. There hadn’t been malice for years and your intentions weren’t to destroy her. But you saw the only way she could heal was to crumble and repair afterwards. There could only be so much pain and torment she could take before she had to look for a way to pivot to either keep herself safe or keep the people she cared about in her life. And you hoped she found it sooner than later because you could already see the aftermath of her decisions if she kept down this road.

Pulling up outside of her house, you placed the car in park and allowed your hands to fall by your thighs. Leaning your head back into the cushioning of the headrest, exhaling softly.

Rue shifted from time to time, clearly wanting to express her thoughts. She could get out of the car and walk away with the remnants of resentment she’d held against you for years. But she didn’t. She sat there, uncomfortable in her thoughts that she couldn’t put together well enough to make a coherent and important statement.

Sighing, you said, “I know you don’t care about what others think Rue and I can’t change your mind. I am just an ex-boyfriend that you dated for a little while. I can accept that.” Turning toward her, you shook your head. “But your mom, Gia, Fez, Maddy–everyone fucking cares. The last thing anyone wants to see is your face on the early morning news dead from an overdose. I don’t want to see that shit.”

Rue chewed on her bottom lip, nodding to herself. As she went to grab the door handle, she stopped, looking back at you and muttering, “You know, I’m sorry about us-”

“Don’t.” Rue watched as you shook your head, glancing at her. “You don’t need to go digging into the past to apologize to me when you should be focused on the road ahead. It’s embarrassing.”

Again, harsh. But needed. And for the first time since the start of the argument, Rue didn’t bite back or protest. Almost agreeing. Because it was despicable how she desperately tried to indirectly apologize. Especially for something she knew she didn’t deserve the opportunity to apologize for. “It’s in the past and you found someone new and I’m happy for you.” Unlocking her door, you sighed. “Just don’t go ruining it like we did with our relationship.”

I pulled out some extra cards. All cards have strong energy. I assume that there may be some "serious" shifts in their relationship. Maybe Tom will propose to Zendaya (I know the fans have been waiting for this for a long time). Or vice versa, they will end the relationship. I cannot say that this is 100% true, I remind you that my readings of their couple are not usually "work". However, some important events for their couple will definitely happen! But what I see for sure is that in the next 3 months their couple will definitely be heard, there will be a lot of publications and articles.

Mary Jane is a total diva badass in the comics. She’s fucking fantastic and way too good for Peter. I don’t know why Sony and Raimi decided to go with the worst version of her for the og Spider-Man movies but they did. Because I love 199999 Peter and i’m not a big Spider-Man comic fan (a few runs are really good but I feel there’s more bad than good, probably a numbers game since he is so popular) I want them to give Michelle some of Mary Jane’s storyline.

Like I want Michelle to be Pepper’s intern, intimidate the fuck out of people in her field, and commit a little murder. That’s not a go ahead to turn Michelle into Mary Jane. They are two separate people. Keep them that way. Just have Michelle experience some of what Mary experiences in the comics. If they even get a fleeting thought to copy and paste any Mary Jane or Mary Jane/Peter and apply it to Michelle I will become a nightmare.

Also I want Michelle to become Spider-Woman. That’s my dream. Marvel has Zendaya Coleman. Zen-day-a. She is so talented plus has same aerial training already and she can dance. She has the physicality down already basically. But I really think that it would work with her character and it’d be such a cool storyline. Plus it would work really well with the lesson I want Peter to learn.

Just imagine, Spider-Man and Spider-Woman cinematically. Same age and experienced so much together. They are soulmates who aren’t together right now because one was an idiot but we all know they’ll be back together soon enough. And Michelle, the weird girl turned love interest will have something that admittedly connects her more to Peter but also gives her more independence.

ace lockhart ( fc. will poulter ) : baker boi no. 2 ! ace mans the baking alongside rolly. for as long as he could remember, he'd always strived to be the best at everything he did. tunnel vision. a family who always put pressure on him wasn't all that helpful in that regard, either. he's an overachiever & what he lacks in social skills he makes up for in exquisite technique, steady hands & a knack for presentation. he's extremely professional & a perfectionist, which makes it a good thing that rolly & daphne are around, because he'd simply forget to take breaks otherwise. just because daphne could relate didn't mean she'd let it happen. he was the one person who didn't particularly like her when she showed up. her over the top energy & uneducated guesses about what they did there simply didn't charm him & for a while, this put daphne in a tough spot. she'd subconsciously try to make herself more palatable around him & she owes it to jade for pointing it out. he was a good lesson & she'd confronted him about it – he could either admire the brightly shining star or start wearing sunglasses for all she cared. that was the first time she'd made him chuckle.

gwendolyn snyder ( fc. kate siegel ) : gwen is the definition of class & sass. the brains behind the business & behind the counter, occasionally. she's never wanted anything more than to be her own boss & hated all the jobs she'd ever had for this reason alone. she spent her youth seeking escape from a strict, close minded family. she looked for life experience & traveled for the better part of her 20s, doing various jobs & saving money. unfortunately, that also meant leaving her younger sister behind, who didn't escape, but had already fallen into bad decisions & bad habits. they lost touch. gwen went on to live in italy for a while in her early 30s & she didn't find a home there, but she did find inspiration. so, she came back to new york hoping to fix what was broken & maybe even start something new. she reconnected with her sister & supported her though rehab, all the while taking care of the nephew she didn't even know existed & crafting her business plan. she could've never fathomed loving rolly like a son, but she so quickly started to. when daphne entered her establishment, she thought her a piece of pink bubblegum personified. but giving her a chance wasn't a mistake. it's like she had found the final puzzle piece & the two of them soon became fond of each other. daphne's decision to learn italian & french & her ambition to travel & see as many places as possible come from gwen's stories. little did she know how much of this world there was to see.

vincent davenport ( fc. ebon moss-bachrach ) : vince is daphne's great white musical hope in a finely pressed suit & a very mean faced shell. he's a single dad & works as an artist manager. he's your regular gentle giant type with the ability to crush you at the same level as he could build you up. he has two little girls, lily & olivia, & he gives into their every whim. he also unapologetically enjoys pop music & listens to his gut religiously, which is why daphne ended up on his radar in the first place. eight months into daphne working at one way ticket cafe, he'd come into the coffee shop to take shelter from the rain. the second time, it was intentional. & so were the next few times, until he'd finally introduced himself & changed daphne's life for good. in all these times, he'd also developed a crush on gwen, unfortunately for the heart he'd boarded up years ago, after a tragic loss. daphne definitely sees him as a father figure & he's one of the people she strives to make proud with her achievements.

watched July 14, 2024 on netflix

I remember watching Marry Me and thinking how glossy and polished everything looked. it feels like flipping through a glamorous magazine or scrolling through instagram highlight reel. the visuals are stunning, and the production is high-end, but it also feels a bit too manufactured for my taste. it’s like everything is wrapped in glitter, and it’s hard to find the heart beneath it all. the concept of the movie is cute and refreshing. a famous pop star marrying a regular guy on a whim? it’s an interesting twist on the classic rom-com formula. but as I watched, the aesthetic and dialogue felt very “Netflix-y.” it reminded me of He’s All That, but thankfully, this movie is far better than that rubbish. at least Marry Me has a story to tell, even if it’s hidden under all the glamour. Jennifer Lopez is undeniably stunning at her age, and her presence as Kat Valdez is captivating. but I kept wishing her character felt more real and grounded. Kat is portrayed as too perfect, too flawless, and almost untouchable. I wanted to see more vulnerability, something raw and heartwarming that could make me connect with her on a personal level. her glamorous life is beautiful to watch, but it feels like a weirdly written fairy tale rather than a relatable story.

Owen Wilson, on the other hand, brings a down-to-earth charm to the movie. I was surprised by how sweet his chemistry with J.Lo is. having seen them together in Anaconda before, I never imagined they would make such a cute pair in a romantic setting. the addition of Charlie’s daughter, Lou, is a lovely touch. for a moment, I even thought the actress playing Lou might be Zendaya or related to her because of the similarity in looks and surname. despite the sweet moments, the movie feels overproduced. the glamour, the sparkle, and the perfect settings can be overwhelming. I kept wanting to see something more authentic, more heartwarming, and less polished. it’s like the movie is trying too hard to dazzle instead of letting the story shine on its own. in the end, Marry Me is an enjoyable watch but not something that leaves a lasting impression. it’s fun, light, and perfect for a lazy evening, but it doesn’t dive deep enough to make me feel connected.

BIOGRAPHY

On July 31st, 1982, Blair Amethyste Nightingale welcomed a beautiful baby girl which she named Elektra Phoenix Black, which she was absolutely over the moon smitten with her little princess so much that her mom became a stay at home mom for a few years, wanting to spend as much time with her as she could. Her father was none other than Sirius Black but due to unfortunate circumstances, he wasn't apart of Elektra's life. Yet her mother would always tell her stories, trying her best to make sure their daughter knew about her dad even if he was unaware of her existence.

When Elektra was six, Blair ended up opening a bar slash potion shop called The Blackout Supernova with some of the money her parents left her. And even though her mother was busy raising her and running her own business, her mother always made time to take her on adventures, to explore new places and try new things with her. And they would even use their imaginations to make up stories about their adventures so there was never a dull moment, just like her mother did with her parents when she was young.

Growing up, despite being pureblood, she wasn't raised to believe in pureblood supremacy but she was informed about it. So she wouldn't be blinded by it when she came across people who did, also to help her understand why her father's family wasn't in her life. So Elektra didn't seek them out, though she did seek out one of her father's friends, Remus. Would spend as much time with him as she was allowed to, he had became like a father figure to her and she was so appreciative of that. Which is why after she received her letter to Hogwarts, she wasted little time owling him to let him know.

It was on the train to Hogwarts the she met Draco, after running into him while looking for a place to sit. Couldn't help giving him sass in response to the attitude he had given her, didn't care if the male was technically her cousin - she wasn't going to take his shit. She ended up sitting in the same department as Remus, who was asleep. It was there that she met Harry, Hermione, and Ron. Though after what happened on the train, she couldn't help but to wonder if her mom's last minute hesitation was justified. Since after all they both had heard the news about Sirius Black escaping from Azkaban, even if they both don't believe he's a real danger, who knows what has changed in the years he's been locked up. But she quickly forgotten all about it when she was sorted into Slytherin like her mother but just like her mother, she was almost sorted into Gryffindor. Which the moment she could, she sent a letter to her mother, letting her know.

And while she was worried about her mother because she truly didn't know if her father would search for her or not, she did her best to enjoy her time at Hogwarts. Which she made several friends from each house, different blood statuses as well. Though when she heard that her father was close to the school, Elektra was tempted to go searching for him but apparently Remus counted on that. And had talked her out of it but it definitely wasn't fair because she wanted to know him, at least meet him just once. And when she learned that her father escaped, she thought maybe one day she would. Although when she learned Remus wouldn't be returning next year, she was sad about it because he was her favorite teacher but then again, she was bias cause father figure. But either way, he was the best.

During her second year, she was tempted to try out for Quidditch but she eventually decided against it. At least for now since this year her school was hosting the Triwizard tournament, which much to her disappointment she wasn't allowed to enter. Though when Harry's name got called she was suspicious because there was no way he did it, he was only fourteen and from what she could tell didn't want in it. And it was even more concerning how Dumbledore and Crouch allowed him to participate in it, like it wasn't right at all. Though when everyone seemed to be turning against Harry, Elektra was the one who actually tried to become his friend. Was genuinely rooting for him, even though she had a bad feeling about this. Was beyond disappointed once again when she learned only fourth years and up could attend the yule ball, and the only way third years and lower could attend was if they were invited. Which luckily for her, she managed to snag an invite and had such a blast. Yet if she had knew the horror the end of the tournament would bring, she would have made sure Potter enjoyed his night as well.

When her mother learned that Voldemort was back, she was tempted to pack them up and flee to America. Didn't want to send her child in the midst of the war, after all Blair couldn't bare to lose her only child to the same people who killed her parents. But she reluctantly sent her back, trusted it was still safe for her. Although after meeting Umbridge, Elektra wished that her mother did refuse to send her back. But she was glad she didn't because it was that year, that Elektra decided to join Dumbledore's Army.

During the Battle of Hogwarts, she was evacuated for being young. But she ended up sneaking back and joining the reinforcements because she couldn't sit back and just let people she knew die for nothing, plus at least if she died then she died a hero. Which to be honest there was some close calls but she managed to escape them, and everything she witnessed several people she knew die, it killed her inside. But she managed to survive, managed to return to finish her school years. Yet the events of the Second Wizarding War had changed her a bit, scared her in ways she'd never fully recover from.

After she finished her schooling, she ended up working in her mom's bar as a bartender and entertainer.
