Poul acrylic and polymer on canvas 190x150cm 2019 Poul was a worn out man. Working from early morning to late night on a farm. One day he was hospitalized at the mental hospital. For days fixated and in a very aggressive state of mind. Some days later he “woke up” and felt great ready to work again. I do not remember the last couple of days but I feel better he said. Poul is visualized working and moving up hill. Maybe he is carrying something. @henriettehellstern Once when I was in Venezuela, I walked between a cave in a mountainside and a waterfall. The waterfall was massive and at one point, the cave where I stood and waterfall melted together; everything turned black and I lost all my air in the lungs. These powerful forces that are so airy and breathtaking at a distance, are also insidious. I’ve never seen such beautiful waterfalls since. 
The series of paintings, Another nature, pays homage to the wild untamed but also harmonious nature, which points back to us and our lack of understanding of the harmony of diversity among our own species.
