I had a dream about a sprawling "Door Maze". It started as an attraction at a faire or something similar - a few bucks to enter the ~Hall Of Doorways~, cheesy stuff. Just a bunch of normal, if slightly weirdly laid out rooms connected by doors. But as you kept going through doors, the subsequent rooms kept getting weirder. A carpeted hotel-like bedroom with a small exposed toilet facing the bed. A combination walk-in closet and kitchen. A really long and empty hallway with an occasional mismatched wooden cabinet on the wall; at that point it was becoming increasingly obvious that there was no way all of this could possibly fit in a faire attraction. Every time there were only two doors - the one you entered from, and the next one.

And then eventually a door opened up into a whole town.

The layout of the town was relatively normal. However, the townspeople were obviously on edge. They were split into several factions, and notably the majority of them lived in encampments outside of all the clearly functional buildings around them. Very few people ever approached most of the buildings. Rations seemed scarce, even though there was a whole supermarket sitting unguarded in town.

We realized that the only buildings people ever went inside of were unfinished or derelict ones with no doors in the doorways. I started opening the doors of random buildings. None of them led to where they logically should; the front door of a house opened to a view of a grassy plain, the supermarket opened into a dark hotel hallway, a toolshed opened into an industrial kitchen. I eventually realized that, although a thick fog obscured a clear view, the town was surrounded by walls. Presumably, there were doors on those walls. The town was another room in the Hall Of Doorways, and the townspeople were lost and stuck.

There was another reason the townspeople were on edge; there was a slowly increasing number of otherworldly creatures roaming the town. The accepted theory was that someone had been opening doors, like me, but had forgotten to close one that happened to lead into some kind of hell dimension, and the residents were slowly wandering through the door into town. Although the creatures weren't hostile - yet - they were increasingly choking out the available space in town.

The rest of the dream had the POV hopping between different people stuck in the town trying to find a solution; one regular guy trying to find the door that the creatures were coming out of, someone else studying the creatures to determine their nature, and a... stray kamen rider who wanted to fight the creatures (but couldn't, because his transformation sequence involved a Little Guy Mascot flying in and lending him the actual Transformation Juice, and said Little Guy was not in the town room). I think one of the town factions were gearing up to fight back the horde of creatures anyway, and it was implied that this was going to end in disaster, but then I thankfully woke up. That's one way to escape the Hall Of Doorways.

I haven't tried opening my bedroom door yet, though.

The middle note, in which the accented scents harmonize and change into a sensual fragrance, does not belong to any group, and gives the impression of Yaguruma, who calls himself a resident of the darkness and fights against riders and worms with his brother as he pleases. The last note, which adds warmth and changes into a powerful fragrance, is reminiscent of Yaguruma who shows tolerance for those who have fallen into the darkness, such as temporarily adding Tsurugi as his "younger brother" and reaching out to Rena Mamiya.

-- The gentle top note is inspired by the image of Kageyama, who was abandoned, was picked up by Yaguruma when he had fallen to the bottom, received the Hopper Zecter, became a qualified Punch Hopper, and continues to act carefree with Yaguruma as hell brothers. The middle note, which is stimulated by bitter orange and turns into a fantastic fragrance, is like a burnt-out husk, although Yaguruma has often reprimanded him not to "seek the light." We sense Kageyama's sense of justice and his longing for the light as he seeks past glory. The last note, with its deep sweetness of musk and amber, is a sense of Kageyama's despair at becoming a Worm himself, his plea to Yaguruma to defeat him, his sadness and feelings for his "big brother" as he chooses to be defeated by a Rider's kick.

Where do you think the Riders keep their Drivers?

Most Riders don't wear clothes that could reasonably hold something as clunky as a Driver, but you have a lot of exceptions. My ideas are:

Force of will—For Riders whose belts are part of them (Kuuga, Agito, Blade, and nearly every Showa Rider), they simply will it, and it's on them. The ZECT Riders (Kabuto, Gattack, TheBee, etc) all have Zecters that they summon at will. Very convenient.

In their back pocket - Riders like Wizard keep a belt that summons his Driver, and Build wears a long coat, so I can see him carrying that in his pocket. Faiz is one of the exceptions since the Faiz belt is carried in a suitcase for most of the show. Any Rider with a smaller Driver and clothes with big pockets could carry it on them. Their power-up items, however, are another story.

Hammerspace- For almost everyone else, my personal idea is that they also summon their Drivers via force of will, but, out of a personal hammerspace. This could be how they can pull out their Driver while wearing regular clothes (looking at you, Ikki) and why we sometimes see their gear fly out of seemingly nowhere if they're hit hard enough (outside of plot reasons, of course) This would also explain why they can't summon their Drivers if they're stolen, as it has to be in their possession to be summoned. This theory is the most out there and probably has plenty of holes, but it's fun to think about lol.

started on this very silly idea for a Kabuto fic and now i'm writing a Fight Scene thinking about the role of the zecters in the Rider fights........... man i love kabuto

since i am going to spend the next 2ish years manifesting these: if you could write a changerion 30th anniversary or a kabuto 20th anniversary, what would the plots be? (or would you combine them?)

Kabuto 20th: I feel like there's a pretty straightforward plotline to go with for this one, especially if it's possible to get back most of the actors--I know there have been stupid agency-caused issues with Mizushima returning, but I can dream. Anyway, Hiyori is now a successful restaurateur and children's book author, Juka is happily at work on a PhD in entomology, Tendou's doing his thing as usual and cooking ever more elaborate recipes, and Kagami's running a detective agency, when they start spotting people that they know should be dead (Tsurugi, Kageyama, etc). Cue the return of their Zecters as they ready themselves to fend off another Worm invasion, which turns out to actually be a wave of alien tourists looking forward to visiting Earth and seeing all its weirdness. Tendou cooks for them.

Changerion 30th: We open. It is 1998. It has been 1998 for 30 years now. Everyone has aged, but it is still 1998. Akira and Hayami, now happily gay married and bickering nonstop, realize that time isn't passing and set off with Kuroiwa--who has just been resurrected for the fifteenth time since the end of the show--to kick Inoue Toshiki's ass, having determined that he's the architect of all their misfortunes. Inoue Toshiki is played by Wakamatsu Toshihide. Murakami Kohei appears as himself, working as Inoue's live-in bodyguard. Handa Kento has a bit part as the guy who does Hayami's dry-cleaning and who might be dating Murakami. There are at least three on-screen M/M kisses, one with tongue. The day is eventually saved by a sentai of lesbian technicians who arrive, disassemble the set, and tell the cast that the movie's been cancelled and they should all go home.

Megamax! I still really love that movie so much, it's still my favorite I've seen so far.

The OOO Medals, The Chemy Cards, and The Zecters. I can't really pick one over the other.

13: Which character death upset you the most?

Ankh... T_T His absolutely broke me upon seeing it the first time.

And dealing with the deaths of each of the abyssalis sisters one by one three weeks in a row was fucking rough, I was bawling for each of them. I really wanted them to live. (Which makes me wonder how things are gonna work for Clotho and Lachesis in the final stage...)
