• iko told winter she was beautiful and scarlet remarks that throne does not trust anyone who is prettier than him

• iko had a massive crush on kai

• throne says “i really do know how to pick them” talking about iko

• thorne calls kai dreamy and “—thorne fanned himself, swooning - his heavenly, chocolate-brown eyes, and perfectly tousled hair, and—“ before cinder shoves him into a wall

• wolf didn’t even pay attention to winter because scarlet was there whereas thorne thought she had a glamour

• cinder says jacin looks like a prince when he’s with winter when the rampion throw a celebration for cinder before her coronation

• cress says kai looks "dapper" in his clothes after she hugs him in winter

• and all of the couples think that their partner are hot as hell so it’s a win for the rampion crew to have such hot friends

i don't think there is anything hotter than this conversation that happens in cress between wolf and scarlet, "i don't mind the scars. he shrugged, his eyes taking on a mischievous spark. they hold better memories now than they used to. scarlet paused with a dab of ointment on her fingertip. wolf’s attention had to his own knotted hands, a hint of color on his cheeks. within seconds, she was feeling extra warm herself, remembering the night they'd once spent as stowaways aboard a maglev train. how she'd traced her fingers along the pale scar on his arm, brushed her lips against the faint marks on his face, been taken into his arms..." because instead of his past and the pain he endured, his scars now remind him of her.

holy fuck, i am rereading the lunar chronicles and never realized how much i love the little moments between the rampion crew that make them family:

• kai getting annoyed at thorne’s good looks when thorne and cinder escape

• kai desperately trying to get cinder to go to the ball with him and gifting her gloves “fit for a princess”

• kai deliberately guiding cinder away from adri and pearl while they are dancing. and not to mention, him physically stopping adri from striking cinder

• kai bargaining for cinders life and saying that he’ll never marry levana if she kills cinder. like you fucking go king

• wolf saying that roland deserved worse after choking him for being disrespectful towards scarlet and telling him “i believe you owe her an apology”

• wolf knowing that scarlet had a gun on her when they first meet

• wolf telling scarlet “you came,” when she came to watch him fight at the beginning of scarlet

• jacin calling kai cinder’s “toy” and her punching him in the face and threatening to do it again with her metal hand if he insults either her or kai again

• cress offering to make wolf a sandwich and he says with tomatoes if they have any and adds please

• cress and wolf going to the kai’s wedding together and him having no reaction after skimming his gaze over cress + cress calling him "sweetheart"

• kai being hurt by cinder saying that there was no future between them before she kidnaps him ("there wasn't room for such absurdity between them—an emperor. a cyborg. her words shouldn't have hurt at all") to him joking to cinder that he'd tell levana that he had fallen in love with his captor (aka cinder)

• wolf leading cress to cinder, iko and kai after they kidnap him, and wolf saying “i thought i smelled his cologne”

• not to mention wolf protecting cress, "he grabbed cress's elbow and yanked her back before she could collide with cinder and iko and the unconscious man hanging between them."

• iko’s “this is so much better than a net drama”

• iko threatening to cut off jacin’s hot water because he called her ship

• iko fainting after kai hugged her. and making kai turn around and cinder saying “you’re not looking” at kai and having him turn around when iko was getting fixed by cinder

• kai putting a hand on wolf’s shoulder after he talks about scarlet shooting him and misses her

• scarlet shooting wolf and his response is “when you met me at your door with a gun, it’s nice to know that you meant it”

• kai and thorne’s boy talk

• kai telling cinder, "i never wanted to believe it, but i've had to wonder. and when you fell, and i saw your glamour...cinder, do you have any idea how beautiful your glamour is?"

• cinder snapping back at kai saying that she isn’t an earthen citizen when kai says, “i command you to return me to earth immediately.”

• cinder reconsidering when she says “wolf is harmless” and says “well, not harmless.”

• wolf physically stopping cinder from sacrificing herself and “wolf glared down at her. sweet and vicious wolf, whose mother was down there, with them. she half expected him to give her away himself, but instead he grabbed cinder's shoulders, squeezing tight. “no one is dying for you. if anyone dies today it will be because they finally have something to believe in. don't you even think about taking that away from them now."

• cinder being suprised that kai running his hands through his hair was “familiar” to her

• this moment, “a tingle traipsed down her spine at how he was studying her, almost in childish awe, and how he was so close, and how he was still holding her wrists.” and not to mentions kai’s reaction to being that close, “he seemed to realize it at the same time. his expression changed suddenly, and she knew he wasn't looking at the retina display anymore, or even her synthetic eyes, he was looking at her.”

• the beauty of this scene is unmatched, because it shows kai’s acceptance of her. all of her, “she watched his thumb trace the length of her fingers, finding it hard to breathe, impossible to move, the hand is new, she whispered. it appears to be excellent craftsmanship. his voice, too, had dropped. it's plated with one-hundred percent titanium. she didn't know why she said it. hardly knew what she'd said at all. bending his head, kai pressed his lips to her knuckles. the plating had no nerve endings, and yet the touch sent a tingle of electricity along her arm.”

• the kiss + conversation between kai and cinder at the end of cress

• kai hugging cinder after she tells him that she is afraid of becoming just like levana. kai telling her that they need a revolutionary, not a princess

• cinder shoving thorne into the wall after he makes fun of kai and his gorgeous eyes

• cinders panicking after wolf gets shot and jacin giving her his shirt and instructing her on how to save wolf

• cinder shoving jacin into a wall after she realizes that scarlet has been taken

• cinder and jacin’s hostility towards each other is so fucking hilarious like one moment cinder is shoving him into a wall and punching him for insulting her and kai and the next she tells him that she impressed that he can bake flatbread, fly a plane and be a traitor to his country

• jacin being absolutely fucking adorable with children, "hey, mongrels, try to stay in the lines! cinder looked up, just as jacin flicked his paintbrush, sending a splatter of black paint at the three children beneath him. they all shrieked with laughter and ran for cover beneath the ship's underside."

• throne's "we are married, darling"

• throne smiling like the sexy fuck he is when cress loses her shit when he comes into the bathroom and not to mention him washing himself in front of her and she goes speechless

• jacin taking the gun right from thorne's hand and refusing to give it back

• cress immediately picking up on wolf's feelings for scarlet

• scarlet being an absolute fucking badass and taunting levana by fucking saying, "for years, my grandmother kept that little girl hidden, kept her alive, and she ultimately paid for that with her life. that was the night that i joined linh cinder. that was the night that i joined the side of the true queen of--" and her being sassy as fuck while talking about jacin, "where, then, would she have had him go? i don't know. maybe you should ask him."

• kai not being able to take his eyes from her when she comes to kidnap him, "though kai couldn't spare her more than a cursory glance. because cinder was there. cinder."

• cinder sighing when iko asks cinder if cress looks pretty in her dress after they kidnapped kai

• wolf throwing both kai and cress over his shoulder during the kidnapping

• wolf helping cress up after she disabled the android and shoving her away from him when the guard shoots at them before cress takes down the security system

• cinder being the one to grabs cress’s wrist and saying “i’m so sorry” after dr. erland says that he’s her father

• cinder literally flipping wolf over her head and fucking deflects his punch by using her metal hand

• cinder refusing to use her knife agianst wolf on the fight on the rooftop when they kidnapped kai

• kai slumping/falling into cinder after she shoots him

• thorne offering cinder a goodbye kiss and her responding “wolf is not the only one who can throw a right hook around here”

• wolf fucking decking kai so hard that he stumbles back into cinder

• jacin saying “hey, trouble” when he sees winter

• jacin kissing winters shoulder after she has a hallucination

• winter saving scarlets life from sybil and levana by saying that she wants her as a pet

• scarlet being a total badass and getting levana’s soilders to fight with them and saying “i already have a mate to satisfy my needs”

• scarlet tending to wolf’s wound on his mouth after cinder makes him bleed and saying “she may not get in many hits, but when she does, she makes them count”

• wolf being proud of cinder because she tripped him and he didn’t see it coming

• cinder tripping thorne while she is doing push ups and helping him to his feet and telling him, “you can help me pick out a tiara when we’re done saving the world”

• thorne and cinders hug

• throne telling cress “it turns out you are worth a lot of money on the black market”

• thorne telling cress “i want to open my eyes and see you”

• thorne being absolutely captivated by cress and telling her “the short hair, he said with a half nod. it works.”

• kai smiling while saying “how come no told me i had such steep competition?”

• thorne saying “how could you not know?” and cinder kicking him when maha kelsey says that “ze’ve failed to mentioned that he’s in love with you”

• thorne and jacin saving cinder + thorne offering to help jacin when he’s doing cpr

• winter calling scarlet “scarlet-friend” and winter telling a person they won’t hurt her, and scarlet replies “like hell i won’t” when they are escaping

• winter saving cress and jacin pinching the bridge of his nose and telling her “princess, you have to stop collecting these rebels”

• jacin’s stern expression softening into “an almost smile” when he realizes who cress is when he and winter find her

• scarlet being the one who comforts cinder after she thinks her video and speech failed and cinder saying "kai helped her write it"

• scarlet hugging cinder from behind and burying her face in cinder neck

• winter patting thorne’s cheek and comforting scarlet when she cried over wolf and cinder being taken

• wolf helping thorne with the guards uniform

• iko rushing to hug cress and thorne hugging them both

• kai protecting and helping cress in winter + her throwing her arms around him and “kai stumbled back in surprise, but returned the embrace”

• kai meeting wolf with his shirt off tending to his wounds and wolf drops the needle in his mouth and inclines his head to say “your majesty”

• thorne getting excited that kai knows him when they first meet and kai scowling at him

• kai immediately asking “where’s cinder?” after he’s kidnapped

honestly really wished marissa meyer would have had the rampion men be more physically affectionate with each other. like jacin and thorne are the only men who hugged (after jacin got fucking decked), but something that bothered me is that kai hugged iko and not wolf or throne when he left after being on the rampion for a month. mm really should work on showing male affection (physically, emotionally and verbally) in her books.

do you ever just think about how cinder talks about how lonely she is and all she wanted was a place to belong, "but the orphan who had always just wanted a family, who had only wanted to belong somewhere" to having a family and being so utterly loved by the rampion crew, to her and her family eating lemon cake frosting before her coronation, "she looked around, at the smiles and the arms draped over shoulders and winter daintily licking buttercream from her fingers. at the homemade cake. a gathering of friends. a celebration, for her. they were silly things to be floored by, but she couldn't help it. she'd never had these things before." to "her friends gathered around her, pulling her into embrace after embrace." and "until she reached kai, who wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her. he tasted like lemon frosting."
